It was supposed to be a day off from drinking. But when I got home ⁉️ and saw the spring rolls and soba noodles on the table, I gulped and salivated Jay 😗 while Nobby 🥰 said, "It's become a table for drinking. We quickly decided to have a quick drink at ‼️😙. So, the one chosen was our second bottle of Luka 🤗I didn't have an image of it being dry, but I had seen Mashidaya's social networking site and got it! I'll make love to you! The aroma is somewhat refreshing 😌. I'm sure you'll love it with soba noodles 😋. After drinking it for a while, I felt that the sake in the cup was a little cloudy 🤔. I thought, "Oh, this is a cucumber ❓"! I tried to check the sake bottle, but Nobby said "that's the last one".... I was supposed to drink it lightly, but there was no ori left, not even ori 😆I looked at the back of the label and it said there was a little ori 😅. So now that we've been identified as a couple who can't stop drinking 😚 🤤 I think we'll change our name to Jay & Nonby from now on 😆.... ...Oh...! I'm sorry, but I got an NG🙅🏻‍♀️ from Nobby saying "I'll be the only NONBEI 😠" so I'll just leave it as it is 👋.

Thank goodness our favorite Kitajima-san ❗️ is sold at our local liquor store 😊. This is the third bottle I've had and so far all of them have been directly pumped Junmai Ginjo Nama 🤗 Each sake rice and sake degree is as shown in the ↓. First bottle: Miyamanishiki -1 Second bottle: Ginbukiyo +7 Third bottle: Yamadanishiki +10 The dryness level is getting higher and higher 🤔. I'll make love to you The aroma is ginjo 😙. The sweetness of the rice makes it easy to drink and it doesn't feel too dry, but it's easy to cut through. I'm sure this is a top Shiga Prefecture! I'm sure this is top of the line in Shiga Prefecture! Well, I was supposed to have a leisurely dinner that day, but it was so good that I finished it by 7:00 😅After that, I switched to tea and watched TV, but there was nothing interesting 😑... 😑. I thought, "Let's try some nostalgic western music...? So I switched to YouTube and watched Queen's Live Aid video! The stage was so impressive with the roaring waves of the audience 🥹It was so refreshing to see 😌.

The 601st bottle is also Tochigi sake after all 😉This is Sentori who gave up the Kiri number to Tamaka: ‼️ Looking back, 500 CI was at the end of May last year, and I consumed 100 bottles until 600 CI in about 8 months...so 12 bottles per month! I've been taking a good rest on weekdays and concentrating all my efforts on weekends 😋. From now on, I would like to be mature enough to savor sake while savoring it slowly 😌 and to share the taste with you by putting it into words. I've seen some reports of spills and such, but I'm a grown-up and opened the bottle without any difficulty👍The good citrus aroma wafting around tickles my nostrils. ☺️ I will make love to you in a Riedel glass. It's lively and full of flavor 😌 oops that was confusing 🤭 I meant fresh and juicy and dry and full of flavor 😋. If I had to describe it in one word... I take back what I said before: ‼️ I think "yummy😍" would be the best way to describe it 😁. I couldn't afford to be an adult to begin with 🤣. Honesty is the best Tochigi love 🥰.

So I didn't mean to put it off 😆 This is my first time to visit ‼️ But...both times and Aizu Otokoyama are listed under sake wa, but when I tried to register, neither of them appeared as a brand name 😓 so I had no choice but to register under "wa" 😕 I heard they changed from "wa" to "times", why is that? ⁉️ I don't know what the truth is, but I was able to compare Tsushimaya with Tsushimaya on Saturday and Sunday 😋. I was browsing the fridge at the liquor store when I noticed the unadorned blue 🟦 label that caught my eye 😳I was attracted by the cleanliness of the label 🤗This is our first time here at Bikou: ‼️ I'll make love to you! The aroma is fresh fruit😌. The first sip is fresh, fruity, juicy, and tart 😙I wanted to shout "freshly harvested fresh! It's easy to drink and has a nice sharpness, so it goes down smoothly 😋. It's really delicious 😍I really like this one 👍 By the way, here's a shot of my daughter and him on a rare road trip to Japan. He will be in Japan for the whole month of February, but this weekend he and his daughter went to visit Jay's father in Chiba! He and his niece are very grateful for the opportunity to spend the night together and free her sister 🥹. The father, who works for a foreign company and used to speak a little English, asked in English, "Do you know XXXX company? He smiled happily when he answered I know, partly because his daughter had spoken first 😊. But I tend to forget the most recent one 😅Do you know my company? He said it went on till episode 5 😆 but still he was not dumbfounded and answered that he knew every time 🤗. I hope he spoke one word of English and his father got some mental exercise too 🙂.

Following the meat sauce 🍝 a while ago, Jay 😋 had an irresistible craving for kiritanpo nabe after seeing Hirupeko's post. While we were walking together as usual, I told Nobby about it and we were both completely in the mood for kiritanpo 😙 We bravely went to the supermarket, but they were sold out of kiritanpo😱gwahhhhhh😓...this must be because people who saw Sake no Wa bought all the kiritanpo 😁. I was wondering what to do 😨 when I found "Damako Mochi" on sale nearby ‼️ so I bought other ingredients and we had Seri Nabe with Damako Mochi 🤗. I bought some other ingredients and made this nabe with Damako Mochi 🤗 I served this nabe with Asahi Kohki's Kumi Kumi! I'll make love to you! The aroma is freshness of nokkumi ☺️ The first sip is easy to drink and sweeter than expected 😚 but the acidity is calm and brings it all together like a homeroom teacher 😋. The first time I tried Seri (Japanese parsley), it was surprisingly unctuous for its aroma, and the Tamako Mochi was delicious, just like a round Kiritanpo! This nabe was the right choice👍. The sake was just as good with the nabe as it was with the rice, and every time we ate or drank, we kept repeating, "Wasn't Asahi Koki this good? Nobby kept repeating "I don't remember Asahi Koh being this good" every time we ate or drank. Akita style nabe with Tochigi love 🥰!

Last week, my liver took a solid five days off from Monday to Friday after New Year's 🤗 and on Saturday, I joined my daughters in Tokyo as I mentioned last time! That night, my daughter and I went with him to an Okinawan izakaya (izakaya) where we drank beer 🍺 and highballs 🥃, but I was not in the mood for the Reimei 🍶 that was on the menu 😑. After leaving the restaurant, I split up with two other people and walked to Ueno Station. We had about 20 minutes to wait for the bullet train, so we wondered if we could have a quick drink at a soba noodle shop inside the station where there were bottles of sake 🤔I'm not that much of a drinker, so I decided to hold off...as a result, I haven't had sake for a long time🥲. But that's beside the point 😆. My first sake in 5 days was Ona-san, the first label after the zodiac bottle: ‼️ bouken-san drank it last week and informed me that it has a fancy taste among Ona's. â I will make love to you! The aroma is fruity, peachy and sweet. The first sip has the same fruity and sweet taste as the aroma, and then the sourness and bitterness come in, which is what I call a mellow taste 😋! If I didn't drink so much of this, I would only have 3-4 bottles in stock and I'm a mature drinker 😉. Mellow Tochigi love 🥰.

I've been curious about this one every time I see it at a sake shop! I was looking at the refrigerator at the liquor store wondering if it was sold anywhere in Utsunomiya 🤔 when I found it and rushed to pick it up, saying 😳There it is! I loosened my grip and looked at the price tag in my eyes and froze for a while. 😶‍🌫️ I didn't hear anything about it 🫢. But I wanted to drink it and I didn't spend any other money 😅 so I got it👍 I'll make love to you I'm feeling some kind of wooden vat feeling 😙 and Nobby I can't feel that at all Jay 🥲I looked back at your review on Sake no Wa and saw a lot of rice with the wood vat feeling! Nobby's tongue was sure 😄. The taste was a delicious one that we like, from light sweet and sour to a honnori bitterness that tightens up 🤗. Yesterday, we went to Tokyo to see them back in Japan 🤗Noby's brother and my mom joined us and the 6 of us went to Ginza for Sukiyaki lunch (delicious) → Asakusa sightseeing (very crowded💦) → beer 🍺 break! After that, we split up with my mother and brother and the four of us enjoyed drinking and eating at an Okinawan izakaya (🏮) in Ueno 😋. My daughter's English and his Japanese comprehension skills have both improved and we all had a great time 😄. We are planning to come to Utsunomiya in February together, so we are looking forward to many more things 🏮.

This was the first J&N walk of the year! We bowed to the health forest 🌳 of our usual course 💦 for about an hour of exercise. After all that hard work, we went shopping for dinner and asked "Do you want a hot pot?" I was already decided! Jay said, "No, I've already decided! The reason is that I saw a picture of Maddie's spaghetti with meat sauce 🍝 on Sake-no-wa and I had a craving for it 🤗. I mean, there are times when you see sakewa and want to drink this, but there are also times when you pretty much want to eat this, right? And the pasta partner chosen was 😋 we've always wanted to drink 😋 our first Tsuneyama-san ‼️ This Zuichi Harinako-san also recommended it, and we didn't hesitate to get it 😋. I'll make love to you The aroma is slightly sweet and fruity☺️ The first sip is a little sweet and fruity 😋 Oh, this is my favorite type of wine 😍the fresh sweetness and acidity with a touch of tanginess is my favorite 😙. It's a true classic 👍 and perfect with meat sauce 🤗. By the way, my daughter returned home safely from UK🇬🇧 the night before last 🛬😊She had a great time in London from 12/27 to 1/7 🤗. And I was relieved to know that it was just him and me when we returned home 😊. I'm looking forward to seeing them again this weekend in Tokyo 🥹.

I can't keep up with my writing 📑🥲I'll be raising the drinks I had over New Year's break! Here's the first one! J&N's motto is to try new sakes and not buy the same ones as much as possible ‼️ 🤗 of course there are a few exceptions 😅 like the winter nigori sake, we don't buy many of the same ones 🤔. The only two exceptions are Sentori Yukidamari and HIRO-CHAN Nigori which I've brought two years in a row ‼️ I saw HIRO-chan last year when I went to the liquor store on a whim, but I didn't want to go back 3 years in a row 😶... but then I went back a few weeks later and met her again 😁It's fate 🥹 and I took her to the store! My mother Nobby went home for the night and our house was quiet for the first time in a long time 😌 Hiro-chan was able to open the bottle quietly too! We poured the top clear glass into the Riedel and toasted together for the first time in 2025 🥂This time has come back 🥹When I looked at the table, I saw a gorgeous Ori Dance 💃 had started and I watched it for a while...I stroked my cat while turning the glass. No, there was no cat 🤣. I'm so drunk with myself that I'm writing all over the place 😁. I was so drunk I had to write it all down 😁......! I could understand that good food is good food 🤗.

We had separate New Year's Eve parties, so I'm a little late to start the year 🥲, but we had an emotional reunion on Jan. 2nd 🥹, and now the year 2025 has finally begun 🤗. I've been saying "Ake-o-me" a lot in the meantime 😅I'll just use the normal greeting from here on 😅... Now, who was chosen as the first starter for the year 2025? It's Ona-san with our first zodiac bottle of Tochigi sake: ‼️ After all, J&N will be opening with Tochigi sake 😁. I'll make love to you with my mom who came with Nobby and the three of us 🥂. The aroma is slightly fruity ☺️ The first sip has a soft sweetness and then a sourness that finishes with a kick in the second half 😋. Mother Nobby said, "It has a strong flavor. By the way, on New Year's night, I connected with my daughter and him at UK🇬🇧 via LINE video call! Nobby was in tears 🥹 when he saw his daughter moving and talking for the first time in a long time 😊. On Jay's side, I as well as my father and sister were happy to be able to talk to him 🤗I'm relieved that they seem to be getting along well😊. I'm not sure if they're talking in the next room or not. It's amazing to be able to talk face to face with no lag 😳. But on the other hand, a world without internet connection might be terrifying 😱 then... we'll just have to drink 😆. And with you Muro 😆 I'll still love Tochigi in 2025 🥰.

This year, J and N will be celebrating New Year's Eve with their parents and older siblings! So we can't have New Year's sake together 🍶🥲, but we will have Tochigi sake ‼️ at the end of the year, so we will bring Kirifuri Sandesi to each other's parents' house as we did at the end of last year🤗. We also had a rare live post to toast to the end of another year 🥂! It's really good 😋Thanks for being able to buy it at the supermarket 😊. And I remembered the goal I set at the beginning of the year, so I'll announce the correct answer for J&N in a year 📣. No.6 home drinking: achieved in February🤗. Meet Imi: accomplished in November🤗Thanks Tsubu-chan! Go to Hokuriku sake drinking trip: Too bad 😫Next year ‼️ And for New Year's Day, Jay will start work on 1/2, so we will stay only one night and go home 😅Noby will be back late, so J&N's first drink will be after 1/2. --At the end of the year... In 2024, I was somewhat busy with work and was not able to go out for our annual sake trip 😓 We only had 2 prefectural meetings, but we met up at events, started a women's group, and met some new people, so I think our scope has expanded 😌. In 2025, we would like to go on a sake trip together again to meet new people🤗. Thank you to everyone at Sake-no-Wa for your support this year! Good work 🤗Noby finished his mission to see us off 😅 finally came home yesterday 🥹 after a 6 day reunion with J&N moving 🥹. So it was automatically the first sake in 6 days! Here's what I chose for my first drink in a long time🤗. Hanazumi-san, whose popularity has skyrocketed in the sake world since Manachie's post: ‼️ The main entrée was the 😋 squid toro maki from Asanoya, a favorite of the J&N family! I'm going to make love to you and drink a toast to that. The aroma of this beer is not so sweet, is it? I took a sip of the top clear liquid and it was so good 😍It's been a long time since I've had a sake that soaks up the flavor 👍It's sweet but you can also feel the bitterness of the sake 👍 The sweetness and the bitterness are both nice 😙. Don't worry if it's too sweet or too sour, it's just delicious. ‼️ I was talking about heating it up when it reaches the halfway point. I was talking about heating it up when it was halfway through, but then I realized how little was left 😅It ended up being so delicious that it was killed off in a blink of an eye 😚. I was re-confirmed that Mr. Wakata's quote "Active nigori is absolutely delicious" is not wrong 😄. This is probably the last time we will drink at home in Utsunomiya! We will finish off the night with drinks that we will bring to each other's homes 😌. My daughter, who got over various difficulties on the UK domestic flight ✈️ with guts 🥹, sends me on line how she is having a good time everyday 🤗.

I see what you mean...it's like a light Aragashiri, but this one has more sweetness. I think the sweetness is more dominant in this one 😋, but... the sourness that I used to feel in the past seems to have weakened and become milder 🤔It might be to everyone's taste, but those of us who like sourness might need a little more punch 😅. Having said that, by the third day, it was better balanced ‼️ and this one was better mixed too 🤗 Well, this week, Nobby is going to Chiba on Tuesday to prepare for Christmas, room cleaning & travel with my daughter who is spending New Year's holidays abroad💦. Jay is away as he is working until today 🥲. The gaijin I introduced the other day is going to UK🇬🇧 where his relatives are, and my daughter was invited there 🥹. He was in Manchester and my daughter transferred to a domestic flight at Heathrow Airport to get to him 😍She was so excited to travel alone abroad for the first time 💓, so Nobby provided her support in advance and saw her off at Haneda 👋. We had a tearful goodbye 😭 and he flew out of Japan safely in the morning: ✈️ We'll spend the end of the year over there and come back to Japan together after the new year👍. Renewal Hatsu Tank drinking comparison ①. When we heard that the old Hatsubatake series was going to be discontinued, we compared three bottles of it in February of this year 😌. About 10 months later, there was a call from the Sakura City area for the revival of the series. So last Thursday, Nobby, who had some business in the "Mashidaya" area, found the new 3 brothers 🍡 and brought them back home 🤗They had just been put on the shelves and the price tags were not put on yet👍. We usually keep a low profile at liquor stores 😑, but when people say "thank you so much for all your help", that's what happens when you buy 100 bottles 😅. Jay comes home and says, "What do you want to drink this weekend?" Well, we, J&N, have to compare drinks first. ‼️ So we took a group photo with our hearts racing after our first tank in a long time 🤳. The old bottle was easy to see the amount of oli, but after the renewal, the black bottle makes it hard to tell the amount of oli or the remaining contents 🤔. I'll make love to you! Yes, this aroma~☺️ I take a sip and oooohhhhhh...! Unmai sweet and sour 😋. Nobby says it feels like a wooden vat 😚. This is like a sweetness gently wrapped in a sourness 😙. And when you mix in the oli, it explodes with even more delicious juiciness 💥It's a great taste👍! Welcome back to the first tank! Love Tochigi 🥰!

This one was brought to me by Nobby on a hunch: ‼️ Actually, about a year ago, Jay was curious about Echigo-Tsurukame and brought it to us, but to be honest, it wasn't what we were expecting 🤔This time, we got our revenge with a different one👍. Nobby once said, "It's good in case of emergencies! And it's not the 11 degrees that made me say, "It's good in case of emergency!" 😁It's not the 11 degrees that made me say, "Hate ⁉️..." 😁It's the 13 degrees that made me feel safe after Yoshidagurau 😌. It's been a while since I opened the outer lid and the bottle automatically opened 😳I was surprised, but I was able to save the day because I was holding the bottle with my hand 😮‍💨 I'll make love to you The aroma is fruity and ripe 🍎. The sourness of the wine makes it refreshing and easy to drink, even with the added sweetness 😙. I feel like most of these white labels are sour, which we love 🤗. Two light, easy-drinking sakes followed, and did I really drink that one? I'm doubting my memory 🫢.

Following on from Shoryu Yomogina, here is another sake 🍶 that we got at Isetan Shinjuku! We had been saying we wanted to try it 😅but we couldn't find it at the liquor store we go to 🥲You were lamenting why it wasn't in Utsunomiya ❓. We finally got it 😁 with the power of epicurean! This is Mr. u from Yoshida Kura ‼️ I'll make love to you! I'm going to make love to you! I love it! The aroma is mild and not sweet ☺️ When you pour it into a sake cup, it is full of bubbles! The first sip has a gentle sweetness and acidity with a slight gassy feeling 😋 but not too sweet, the fresh acidity brings it all together with the umami 😙It's 13 degrees so it's easy to sip 🤗. By the way, we got this one a little while ago, after we went to Lyodoen. After a leisurely lunch, we went to another destination, the MLB ⚾️ official store ‼️ where we were looking for Dodgers goods 🤗 Of course we were looking for a lot of things, but they were all expensive 😳 Among them, we found a hoodie we liked, but the price tag was over 30,000😰 What to do Jay...okay, first things first! Let's try it on first! I came in and found that it was a good size, but it was very heavy 😓Noby was too big and I couldn't find a size that fit... I came back to myself and just did some eye candy 😌.
