So many things happened last Saturday 😳The last post was more like a synopsis 😅 so I'll recap Saturday night in a bit! At Hiro's request, I called Kurata-san and he said "I can't prepare sashimi or anything, but the seats are okay" 🚌 so we headed to the sacred place. We contacted each other at 3pm and had drinks together at 5pm 😋I think that's the shortest record ⏱️ for people we've never met before and never talked to before 😆. And after the toast we had Yamagata Masamune👍. After that, as you can see in the picture, we enjoyed Tsuru no Tomo → Amami → Azuma Tsuru → Banshu Ikkyo → Eiko Fuji → Akabu Jade → sweet to spicy and many more 😚. We were talking about Hiro-san's sake life and other things, and I was talking to the teacher about how empty bottles and empty boxes of Jyushiyo could be worth a lot of money if sold ‼️. I heard the sound of a cork opening from the counter. and I heard the sound of a cork opening from the counter, "I only want to serve one glass to someone who will be happy to drink it 🤗"! At the end, Hiro-san gave me a "Nice Masamune👍towel" as a souvenir! Thank you Hiro-san😄! We came in after 5pm and had a party for more than 3 hours, but we were the only 3 guests during that time 😅. I can't wait to do the Kenmin-kai and contribute to the sales of "Kurata-san" 😆.

I don't know where to start, but a lot happened on Saturday 🤗. First of all, we took the bus and walked to Bunraku to go to the tasting we were looking forward to! On the way, we checked the sake tasting, and found a reply from Hiro, a Masamune hunter, saying that he was going to the sake event in Oyama. We arrived at Yodogawa Sake Shop at the same time! After about three rounds of tasting, I heard a young couple behind me asking me if I was going to buy one. I turned around and saw Mr. Ars from the Kenmin Kai 😳 We cheered and chatted for a while after meeting each other for the first time in a while😄. We ended up buying two bottles so I'll tell you more about it then 👋. We got in touch with Hiro-san and decided to meet up in Utsunomiya on short notice ‼️ but Ars-san was in too much of a hurry 😅 and couldn't make his schedule 😩. He was waiting for us at a corner bar east of the station and we were a little late to meet 🤗Nice Masamune towel, easy to understand 😆. Then we took him to Kurata-san, the sacred place of the Kenmin-kai 🤗We said hi to the teacher and toasted with Yukimi-san's summer sake 🥂 which was delicious 😋. Now, let the fun party begin! Last weekend, I gave up on buying because of the terrible 🌀wind 🌀but instead went to a nearby liquor store and bought a bottle of 14 degrees, which I have been liking lately! But I forgot my reading glasses and couldn't see the words on the label at all! But I forgot my reading glasses 👓 and couldn't read the label at all 😓. The one that was chosen out of the three was not (5) or (7), but (6), which I have been wanting to drink for a long time 🤗. At the cashier, the shopkeeper told us to drink it slowly because it was a bit hard, and we looked like we knew what we were talking about 😊... but we were drinking with sensitivity and had no knowledge of alcohol 😅 here's the conversation we had after we got home Nobby: "What do you mean by hard?" Jay: "It means it's not open." Nobby: "What's not open?" Jay: "You know, that thing! It's hard." Can someone please tell me the correct answer? I'll make love to you if it's hard I'll love you with the hard one 🧐. I wish I could tell you how good it is 😅It's good right from the start! It's a refreshing and crisp bottle with the acidity we like 😙 half the lid on the first day and the rest on Wednesday. Oh! I feel like the acidity is sharper 😚 I don't know if I'm saying it right 🤔It's like a sharp sensation... not the other way around: ⁉️ Conclusion: both the first day and the third day were good 😙. That's all I have to say.

As I wrote a bit last time, the Kabutomushi🌈 flew away so quickly 🥲I wonder if it's too low in alcohol 🤔Let's check it out with another sake! And I continued with a 14° Mutsu Hachisen's Summer Ginjo in a hurry ‼️ It's a beautiful light blue bottle that is bright to the eye 🥹! How does it feel ♬♬? The aroma is sweet 😌. I'm sure you'll love it 😋😋😋😋😚. I was promised only one glass, but I said "Let's just check one more!" and Nobby said 😊"Let's just check one more!" and noobie 😊The second glass was also delicious but I'm not sure about the alu feeling 😆. The second day was also great and we killed the rest in a blink of an eye! And the accompaniment for this day was sushi 🍣 delivered as a gift from my daughter for "taking care of me", even though it was just an ordinary day. Is this a message to say hello again next time 😉? We enjoyed the sushi without thinking about it 🙂They even changed the ingredients to suit our tastes, thank you very much 😊. By the way, he will be moving from the US 🇺🇸 to Japan 🇯🇵 in mid-July and we will finally start living together 🤗. This summer is going to be a busy and lively one 😄.

We just drank 🥬Vegetable Label🍆 last Sunday... and now our refrigerator is out of sake: 😶‍🌫️ But you know, we are the kind of people who take a break from drinking on weekdays, and tea is our friend! We don't panic 😌 and our hands don't shake 🫨. Well, we had a few beers 🍺 and whiskeys 🥃 that we call "water" 😁. But we had to buy something for Friday night 😅, so Nobby bought the third bottle of summer sake we've been drinking for 3 years in a row ❗️ "Kabutomushi🌈", the hero of our town 🤗. Now I'll make love to you for the 4th year The aroma is 🍏citrusy🍋. I take a sip and soooo wow 😙 here it comes 😙! This acidity ‼️ and a hint of sweetness amongst the freshness 😊It's my favorite 14 degrees these days and it goes down smoothly.......................and before I hear the whisper of "It's sake 🤫" that Pepho-san said, "Did you pour it somewhere? I drank it all up so fast 😅. Hmmm? I'm not sure if the other ones feel like sake 🧐. I found the same 14 degree one so I gave it a try! I can feel it 🙂‍↕️ so I checked it out ✅I drank two cups, put the lid on and then changed to colored water 🥃🤭I started low but eventually I didn't drink enough🙄I guess I should use 15-16 degrees? It's this acidity 🥰 Tochigi love 🥰 of ‼️

I helped my daughter move last weekend..........................................................well I was tired 😫 I left home early in the morning and the moving company finished bringing the items in the morning! Things went smoothly and I unpacked and set up my belongings at the new house...I didn't really do anything, but I was more tired than I thought I'd be 🥲 standing and sitting around. 😮‍💨 That night we went to an izakaya with a Showa-era atmosphere, which I had been curious about for a while! The smoke from the cigarettes in the air 🚬I was lost in the many items on the menu and they were busy asking me what I wanted to order 😥and every time I ordered another highball 😵‍💫 they wanted to get me drinking and eating quickly and increase the turnover 🤔I guess a little bit of a strong drink is a good deal 😉. A big thank you to my daughter for her hospitality today 🥹. I came home on Sunday evening to do something light and go to bed early today 🫠, so that's what was chosen! It's Mr. Oyama's 🍉🍅 Vegetable Label🌽🍆 which was raised by HinaHanaMama a while ago and we hadn't tasted yet 🤗It's not in the label picture 😆 I will have cauliflower and snap peas as a side ♬ The aroma is fresh 😌. I'm a week late in posting 😅 Last Sunday was Kershaw's return to the pitching lineup for the Angels game 🏟️ starting at 10am, so I started walking after 8am! Walked for an hour as usual 💦 showered and sat down in front of the TV. Kershaw got a hit to lead off the game, but Pahez (sorry if you don't know 😅), who we've been pushing since last year, hit a HR to tie the game ⚾ and we were happy to see the game turn around 🙌 and we lost 😢 And Otani got no hits in 6 at bats 😔. I started early in the morning, but in the afternoon I was feeling a bit lazy 🫩I decided to go to Seven on foot to get dinner because it was too much trouble. But I'm going to walk to Seven's to get something for dinner! Yes, it's SENKYO 🤗. I drank the draft last November, and this is the first time I've had the fire-brewed classic 😄. Last time I was surprised by the bubbles, but this time not so much. It's also 13 degrees so it killed me instantly 😋and then I had a beer 🍺! By the way, my daughter moved 🚛 today. Nobby was separated from Jay since Wednesday to prepare for the move at his daughter's place, so Monday through Friday were automatically his rest days 🥲. I'm going to be busy helping with the move🚙 💦 I'll be there! Maybe 14 degrees is right! Love Tochigi 🥰!

This was last Saturday! It was the delivery day of Nobby's new 🚙 car 🎊. I ordered the car at the beginning of February, but it took more than 3 months to deliver it 😓It's a little too long for a normal car 😑. By the way, cars these days don't have a factory navigation system, but they must have a rear-view monitor, so you have to connect your smartphone to the car to see the Google map on the screen 🧐. My brother was drinking a little while ago 😙I ran into Raswan at a liquor store in Chiba 🤩I felt it was fate and brought him back to Utsunomiya 🤗. I'm sorry for dragging you into this 😅I can't help but feel a connection with the famous drama Jin 🤔So from the "Let's drink something we've never had before" series, here's Jin Isamu! Usually it's only for the participants of the brewery festival, but this year it's going to be sold at the distributors as well🤗. I'm sorry for the long preamble as usual😅 I'll make love to you! The aroma I'm going to take a sip! I was told by the shop that it was dry, but I can feel sweetness in the back! I heard from the store that it was dry, but I can feel the sweetness in the back 😋, but it's quite a robust flavor that might make you a little tired 😅. And now that I've finished it, I realized something 🧐. We are fast drinkers 😋, but we are not good with alcohol 😩, so even the 16 degree one felt heavy and slowed us down at the end 🥴. I think 13~14 degree alcohol is just right for me 🤗.

Here is one from a week ago Sunday😅. We came back from Chiba after my father's birthday party 🎊! We were a little tired 😔 and not so hungry... so we decided to have a light drink 🤗. We bought some sashimi at the supermarket and had a light meal of tsukudani (food boiled in soy sauce and soy sauce) and cauliflower, etc. that my sister gave us. Jay says, "I know it's good even before I drink it 😙," says Mr. Tsuneyama: ‼️ We were looking forward to drinking it because it was delicious the first time we drank it at the beginning of this year and because of all the positive reviews we saw on Sake-no-Wa 😋. I'll make love to you The aroma is fruity and apple-y. One sip and yes it came out! Yum meh 😍. It's not so much dry as it is slightly carbonated and has a clear, clean flavor and a pleasant acidity that will blow away your fatigue 😙. The best part is that it has a great sharpness👍! I hope everyone will try this one! Fly away ‼️🤣 It was really good 😋😋. By the way, the next day I gave my father the pink sweatshirt that was my birthday present 🎁, and he was really happy 😄 He said he was going to try it on now, which is rare for him! He looked at the mirror and said "I've never worn pink before" 🤗Hmmm? I have many pink ones 🤣.

As I wrote at the end of the previous post, it was my father's 89th birthday🎊. So, J&N, my daughter & her boyfriend, and J's sister gathered at a Japanese restaurant in front of Ichikawa station to celebrate with 6 people from 5pm 🤗. We had a lot of fun with gifts for Mother's Day💐 and souvenirs from the two returning from America🇺🇸, but I forgot to bring a present for my father 😫😫 sorry 😓. But how old is he now? He answered cheerfully, "I'm too old for this! 🤗" to which my father cheerfully replied 😆. Everyone: "Guess how old I really am?" Dad: "Around 80?" Everyone: "I'm 89!" Dad: "Already 90? That's too much! This conversation was repeated about 5 times during 2 hours dinner 😅. As for the sake 😊The sake menu has decreased since our last visit 😢. We went on to Kuzuryu, then Funaka Hachisaku, then Dewazakura, and finally we went for the "Farmer's Dream" which I had never seen before at room temperature 😋, but it was suitable for warmed sake 🍶. And I googled but "Nouke no Yume" didn't come up at all 😳 anyone know anything about it? After that, we went back to my father's apartment for the after-party 🥳and ended up talking until past 1am 🥱.

Kirifuri-san, a strong friend of us Tochigi residents 🤗🤗. I'll make love to you The aroma is like a gentle breeze from the Kirifuri Plateau 😌. I'm going to make love to you! I'm sure it's a stable flavor 🤗. By the way, I just watched "JIN" again 😅...it's a drag 😅. There was a scene in the story where they were trying to figure out the meaning of the time slip to Edo 🧐 which made me think that our encounter with this "Sake no Wakai" might also have some meaning 🤔. Perhaps we were sent into this world to spread Tochigi sake to the world 😳. It's been a while since I've posted every day for 4 days in a row, but I hope 3 of them were Tochigi sake and fulfilled the meaning! Love Tochigi with all its romance 🥰. My daughter who was in Washington 🇺🇸 returned safely to Japan 🇯🇵 with him on Tuesday 😌. And today is her father's 89th birthday celebration🎊. My son can't come 🥲but my daughter and him and I will all gather in Ichikawa to celebrate 🥂I'm looking forward to seeing everyone 🥲.

Here it is! 2022: It's like a cider with less carbonation and more acidity 😋. 2023 - Good acidity with a moderate sweetness, delicious 😋. 2024 This is this! This acidity ‼️ Japanese style white wine😍 Not as onomatopoeic as 🍊tasoore🍊😆I feel like it's a perfect match for J&N's mitts as well as Yamamoto's split, which is in great shape👍 Now, I'm going to try it for the 4th time this year 😙. I'll make love to you The softly wafting fresh aroma 😌 opens up your nostrils and makes you smile naturally with just one sip☺️ .........Wow 🥹 this this 🥹 this 🥹 this 🥹 this 🥹 this 🥹 this 🥹 this 🥹 this 🥹 this is definitely the one 😇No doubt about it, it's really good 😇I think I repeated this 10 times 😄and this in a bottle I regret that I should have bought it in a bottle 😓I will probably go back for more👍 And the entrée of the day was tempura of cod sprouts, yams and maitake mushrooms 😋I remember about 30 years ago 😅 when I was deep in the mountains of Gunma at my previous job, I picked wild cod sprouts that grew wild and ate them tempura in abundance 😌.

Drinking at home in the second half of GW (2) I corked half of the bottle to Chuaia-san, and next I had Ukiyo Sugata, which has the character "Sugata" as a face on the ‼️ label 🤗. Then I'll make love to you right away! It has a mild aroma and a fresh sweet and sour aftertaste with a bit of bitterness😙It's a well-balanced and delicious bottle 😋 It's also easy to drink, which is hard to believe it's 17.3°, so I drank a lot even though it was my second bottle 😅. And on this day when it was raining all day, my son told me that he watched "JIN" on Netflix and was so moved by it that we decided to watch it again 🤗. It was 15 years ago, but we were hooked and watched the whole season 1 to 2 in two days 😆. Drinking at home in the latter half of GW (1) After dropping my son off at the station, I dropped by a liquor store and brought back this bottle! It's Miyamanishiki Chuai 🤗. I'll make love to you Not much of an aroma, I guess. When I took a sip, Nobby felt the sweetness and Jay felt the bitterness 😗 but it felt kind of heavy🤔 so I drank only half and switched to the next bottle to change the taste ❗️ The next day we drank it in a pot and it had a deeper flavor 😊I know exactly what Maru meant when she drank it and said "I wish I could be someone like Chuai"! By the way, the story of the second day in Nikko Kirifuri😊We saw the sun 🌅 at sunrise, refreshed ourselves in the morning bath, and went to the breakfast buffet! I had seafood bowl, mini ramen, curry, and ochazuke to top it all off, and ate so much I felt sick 🤭. After that, we decided to go somewhere else! After that, we went to see the nearby Kirifuri Falls, and then drove 20 minutes to Osasa Ranch. Those of you who live in the city will probably say, "Wow, this view is amazing! We were so excited to see a pony 🫏 lying on its side and not moving that the tourists were saying, "Isn't it dead? Enjoy sightseeing too? Love Tochigi 🥰!

It's finally here🙌One of the three summer liquors we never miss drinking every year! First up, here's the Dusk Orange 🍊‼️ Here's a look back at the past three J&N ratings 🤗 2022 MAJ taught us and we drank it for the first time in March "Zuppa umaimai" Two married couples twilight in delicious sake! 2023 "Uu~u~a~umai 😊" in August when I was about to give up on it 2024 Bought it in May, aiming for "mmmmmmayyyy😊". This year, I'm excited and ready to try the Riedel glass.... I'll make love to you! The aroma is sweet and fruity 😚. What's that? But was it like this 🍊Bayarese orange ❓It seemed to have a bit more bitterness 🤔. I've heard that if you drink it in a glass like this, you can smell the aroma more strongly and it tastes sweeter 🧐 so I tried to compare it with my usual sake glass 🤗. I felt that the gugumebi tasted more bitter and sour afterwards, making it more flavorful and tasty 🤗☺️ I think the wide-mouth glass is better for those who want more orange 🍊 and sweetness 😅J&N's subjective opinion 😅

This GW, my daughter went away to America 🇺🇸😅but in Japan, we hear news that many people don't take a big holiday and just go to a nearby place 🤔so we also planned a trip to a nearby place with our son 😊It takes about 40 minutes by car 🚙 from our house... Hmmm? I think that's not what you mean by "near by". ⁉️ I think it's better to say "local" now 😆. We went to an all-inclusive hotel in Nikko Kirifuri ‼️ where the use of facilities, food and drink are all included 😊. We checked in at 3pm, but after arriving around 2pm and checking in, we were immediately greeted with beer 🍺, chuhai, and even soft-serve ice cream 🍦! Before that, the three of us sang karaoke to digest the calories 🎤Laughing hysterically at my son's enthusiastic singing 🤣. The buffet included all-you-can-drink alcohol, and we started with Nikko of Dreams! I had a bottle of dry sake 😋 and then a bottle of Kirifuri, but I was too full to drink much 🥲. After a short rest in the room, the three of us had a good laugh playing ping-pong 🏓 and worked up a sweat 💦 before having yuba udon noodles & beer 🍺 for dinner. To end the day, the star-filled starry sky🌌 from the rooftop outdoor hot spring in the mountains‼️♨️ washed our hearts 🥹. Ai Tochigi🥰, a place near by to enjoy to the fullest!

As I mentioned in my last post, we got the two bottles we wanted at Mashidaya Brewery 😊When we were looking at the fridge to buy the rest of the series that we had never had before 😄, we found Oubai-san, who is not macho💪! We didn't hesitate to bring him along: ‼️ I opened the bottle with a 😁spring punch 🎶 while humming Kumiko Oba's Spring Samba 🤗. The label says "refreshingly dry" but I'm not sure 😊. I'll make love to you! The aroma is slightly fruity 😌. The first sip is refreshing with a touch of fruitiness 😙Sweetness and acidity combine to make a refreshing drink 😋. After the MLB⚾️ Dodgers game, we walked together again 💦I've been walking every day since the start of GW! Then we went shopping for dinner 🛒 and decided to grill mainly vegetables 🤗 We also added some seafood and meat that would be delicious grilled on a hot plate 😋 The refreshing Dai-bai went perfectly with it 👍. Well, my son came home on Sunday night, and since it was a special occasion! Yesterday, the three of us went to an all-inclusive inn called TAOYA Nikko Kirifuri 🤗. It was a short trip, about 40 minutes drive from our house 😆. I'll post more about it in my next post 👋

It's been a long time since I had a drink 🤔, I thought, and then I went to Mita for the first time this year ‼️ I had to pass up a few times because of the 2,000 yen barrier problem 😅I took him out because I haven't been able to drink Tochigi sake lately 🤗. The last one I drank last year was black Mita Ihyakumangoku and this time it's Mita Aikoku White Reserve Order 🤗. I'll make love to you! The aroma is slightly fruity 😌. The first sip is...well...it's a full-bodied sweet and bitter taste! It has a full-bodied, sweet and bitter taste 😋 but it's also quite bitter and astringent with a strong adult flavor 😌. Still, when I was drinking it with the day's horse mackerel sashimi and seared octopus, we both confirmed to each other that that 🧐 bitterness and astringency took off 😳 even to America ✈️ 😄. It turned out to be a good sake as we drank more and more of it 😙. In summary, while the previous Kuro Ihyakumangoku was "hard-core Bida-san", this Shiro Aikoku is more like "hard-core Bida-san"😙. By the way, my daughter who really flew out of Japan ✈️ was surprised by the food and culture the size of America 🇺🇸, but seems to be having a great time being introduced to many of his friends 😊. On the other hand, those of us who stayed behind in Japan🇯🇵 will be going home tomorrow 😅 and the day after tomorrow we will be staying overnight in nearby Nikko to enjoy drinking and eating 😅. Aikoku 🇯🇵 drinking and Tochigi love 🥰.
