Nagano Sake Shop Tour (7) After that, we stopped by Shimizu-ya in Saku one last time to finish our shopping! Then we left Nagano and strolled around Matsuida in Gunma Prefecture, where Jay used to work 🚙 but the town was completely rusted out 😢 the stores we knew were gone... The only sign of a snack shop that was left! I wonder if they are still in business? Sentimental, I decided to head home, but then I spotted a sign that said "Roadside Station Myogi"! There was a roadside station on the way up the mountain road! There, "Momiji-jiru" (maple leaf soup) was being served free of charge👍It was warming and delicious as it was chilly and raining 😋. Now for the sake! We got this for the first time at Shimizuya 🤗. I'll make love to you! The aroma has an apple type feel to it 😌. It's a low alcohol (13%), but it's unfiltered and has a solid core of apple flavor that makes it very comfortable to drink. ‼️ The sweet and sourness becomes more and more pronounced and you can drink it comfortably. It is a bottle that you can drink comfortably. The third picture was taken at a small park next to Kiyomizuya because I realized I didn't take a picture of the autumn leaves 🍁. There are still 3 unopened bottles including a new student's wine 😅For the time being, this is the end of the Nagano liquor store tour report! I'll make love to you!

Nagano Sake Shop Trip (6) I've been so busy with my trip to Nagano 😅I've been so busy that my sake activities tend to get delayed 😓. Well, the next morning after a good night's sleep or lack of it 🥱, we met an old man at the breakfast buffet who was a heavy drinker, and he looked like he had just had a second helping of rice 🍚 and back again 😳. After leaving the hotel, we went to the liquor store we discovered by chance last time 🚙 and there he was, Mr. Katsikoma ‼️ We had to spend more than 4,000 yen, but Nobby encouraged us to buy some sake since we were here 😊! The first bottle was decided to be the cosy Jurokuyo! Then I was looking in the fridge for the rest and found a bottle that Pon-chan had drunk a while ago 👀 It was a bit expensive 😅 but it was good enough for 4000 yen! So, here's Matsuo-san from Nagano for our first drink 🤗. I'll make love to you The aroma is fruity 😌. I'm going to make love to you 😌! It seems to be dry 🤔 but it is unexpectedly sweet 😋 and bitter 😚. It's like "sweet on the way in, bitter on the way out! I wish they would make it a motto and put it on the label😇 I split it into two days, which is unusual, but the second day was sweeter as Pon-chan wrote 😙, but I only had a cup of it left on the second day 😆. Trip to Nagano Sake Bars (5) All-you-can-drink buffet at the inn! Beer, wine, shochu, sake, and a bottle of Keiryu 🍶 but on this day, we had beer followed by red and white wine 😋. An old man at another table with a big family poured a glass full of Keiryu into a cup instead of a cup 😅I can't tell you how many times we went back and forth 😅It was a quintessential Showa style drinking 🍶. The lighting in the hotel was dark and the lights were turned off at 9pm. Maybe the management has changed and they have cut costs 🧐. We went to bed early without turning on the TV 🛌. I woke up and looked at the clock to see that I hadn't slept well in a long time 🥱 and it was 11:00 ⏰If I was younger, I would have said, "Oh no, I overslept ‼️" but it was actually 11:00 at night 😆 and it was still today😓and from there I slept every hour and got up and repeated every hour until morning arrived! I miss my younger days when I could sleep as long as I wanted 😢. And that's why I'm drinking Nagano sake! As J&N readers with good memories may know, I made a mistake 🫢 and drank Toyoka-san, and ever since then I've been looking for the "賀" one, Toyoka-san. ‼️ I'm so excited to have found it 🥹. I'll make love to you! The aroma is fruity 😌. I love the way the aroma is fruity 😌, and when you take a sip, you get a well-balanced harmony of sweet and sour 🎶 that spreads throughout your mouth 😋 and finishes with a bit of bitterness 😋! It's so good! ☺️ to be continued

Nagano Sake Shop Tour (4) Here's the trip report again: ‼️ We headed to an inn in Iizuna Kogen beyond Nagano city 🚙 Actually, after booking online the night before, I checked YouTube to see what kind of inn it was, but I could only find one from 9 years ago 😑... We talked about what we would do if we didn't go there😰, but we found a sign on the mountain quite high up! I'm glad I found it: 😮‍💨 As soon as we entered the entrance, we saw an open view in front of us and found a single inn in the back! The rooms are quite spacious, but there are not many things in them, so there is plenty of space! All-you-can-drink buffet for dinner🤗A group of 6 people was seated diagonally behind us, but I think I've seen them before 🧐...! I tried to report to Nobby that they were the same people we saw when we were people-watching at the grass whistle 😳 and he said, "Right 🤭!" I tried to report it to Nobby. He seemed to have noticed it too, but I didn't think it was such a coincidence that we met again at an inn on top of a mountain from a crowded soba noodle shop in Ueda 🫢 in the vast Nagano area...! I'm going to make love to you for the first time in a very long time 😅. The aroma is fruity and has a nice atmosphere 😌. I'm sure you'll be able to find a way to make it work for you........ to be continued

Here's a short break from Nagano travel stories 🎌. This is a bottle of Kawaguchi Natto that I had wanted to try before my Nagano trip. ‼️ I knew it was sold at the Megada Sake Shop, but I finally got to see the actual bottle 🤗. I've been wanting to make love to you for a while now, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to do so 😅. I'll make love to you The aroma doesn't smell like natto 😊. I'm not sure if it will pull strings 😆 I'll try it afterwards. It didn't pull the strings 😆 but the lingering deliciousness made it easy to drink even at 17 degrees 😇 Now back to ⌛️ the week after the Nagano expedition! The weekend before last, the weather was nice so we went for a 7km walk 💦 to Utsunomiya station instead of the usual forest 🌳 on ☀️ Saturday afternoon. We enjoyed a quick gyoza🥟 & beer🍺 at our favorite restaurant, Karan, followed by a rare sweet🧁 & coffee☕ and a healthy bus🚌 ride home😌. And just when I was about to finish... I was about to finish with 🤔I think it's about time❓Yes! I realized that J&N has entered its 5th year after 4 full years 🤗. It's not Tochigi sake, which is unusual for an anniversary celebration 😅I will continue to try to be as persistent as natto and as helpful to everyone as natto bacteria 😅🙇🏻🙇🏻‍♀️

Nagano Sake Shop Tour (3) After leaving Okazaki-san, we followed the exact same route as before😅Go to the next sake shop, Sake-no-Osaka-ya🚙. Last time I was here, there were a lot more rare sake in the fridge 🤔This time there was not that much, or maybe it was just the time of year? Or did they change the lineup? I got it at Ikusakaya because I was looking at the fridge and I was like, "What? I got it at Ikusakaya because I had a strong memory that I took a quick look at it on my last Nagano Sake Trip and it was really good 🤗. I was surprised to hear about the fire at Furuya Sake Brewery on the news after that 😰 but with the cooperation of Osawa Sake Brewery, I was able to buy a rare bottle of Osawa & Wawa for the hanpukai (distribution)! I went to the cashier with a big hug! The shopkeeper asked me, "Do you know this bottle?" I told him that I knew about it and picked it up right away! Please drink it and have a good time 😊. I'll make love to you! The aroma is sweet 😌. I think it's sweet 😌! It has a strong flavor 😚 but it's gentle on the palate 😋 combined with a nice bitterness, it's a mature bottle 😌. After this, we will head to our hotel in Iizuna Kogen, just beyond Nagano 😅. to be continued

Nagano Sake Shop Tour (2) We left Hara Shoten and vowed to revisit next February-March, aiming for Sogape 🥹. Then we decided to have soba noodles for lunch! And we talked about eating soba for lunch! I remembered Maecin-san had eaten Soba in Ueda a while ago 🤔I checked out Sake-no-wa and decided to go to "Kusabue" ‼️ It was my first visit and it was very crowded during lunch time on weekends😳But checking out "Sake-no-wa" and observing the people waiting 👀 made the wait time seem short. I didn't realize that this would lead to later realizations... When my turn came, I ordered a light Morisoba and Kurumi Soba with one assorted tempura! The soba arrived right away, but it was a lot of food😅. After I thought I had eaten quite a bit, I unwrapped the soba that was lurking at the bottom and the amount came back and I added one more serving ♾️ loop ⁉️😳 and as a result, I was starving 😵! After that, I was not going to go there, but I parked my car at Seven and took a walk to Okazaki-san to eat 😅I was confused because the entrance seemed to have changed 😅I got two bottles of Shinshu Kamerei here: ‼️ First I'm going to make love to you 🤗. The aroma is gorgeous and fruity 😌. I thought it was a classic when I took a sip, but then the sweetness came and it was a little sour 😋 It's very cost effective! I finished it with J&N's standard of sweetness but loose 😙. to be continued

Nagano Sake Boutique Tour (1) The weekend before last, we had planned to go to Chiba, but it was suddenly postponed on Friday night, so we were free. Okay...let's go to Nagano! Let's go to Nagano ‼️ but we don't have the same vitality as the Tsubajiya family 😅 so we decided to go overnight 🤗. Then we looked for a place to stay and booked a reasonably priced hotel with all-you-can-drink buffet around 10am, and left at 7am the next morning! The last time I went on a Nagano sake trip was in March 2023, so it's been about 2 and a half years 🤗. The drive to Nagano was a beautiful sunny day with no traffic jam, so we first visited Shimizuya's Koumi Honten! Just to be sure, Nobby asked, "Do you have any Sogape sake?" Nobby asked, "Do you have any Sogape sake?" and was told that it usually comes out in February and March and is sold out right away, so they don't have any now. The sake trip is still going on, and I'm going to drink the sake I got at Hara's. I told shinsaku3 & Pekho that I wanted to drink it. I'll make love to you! The aroma is...! It's so sweet and sour and fresh! I'm going to drink it for the first time........ The third one is the kids I brought from Nagano 🤗I only have one bottle of wine in my 👋. to be continued

I can't seem to keep up the pace of posting 😅. Time flies and I feel like it's been a long time 🤔Here's one I got on the night of the Dodgers WC win 🤗. I was watching the game with my sister at my father's room in Ichikawa and we were all so happy when Roxas and Sumichan hit a HR⚾ and the last double play 🥳 My father, who is hard of hearing and usually difficult to talk to, shouted "Shut up ‼️" twice 😆. Then we came back to Utsunomiya in the evening 🚙, bought some light snacks at Seven, and started the celebration! But the main snacks of the day were YouTube videos of the game and player interviews 🎤 But Betts' house is awesome 😳. We wanted something light 🤗 so we chose this Mimurosugi 🤗. Coincidentally, this is the first bottle of Mimuro Sugi I've had since February this year, when I also had a bottle of Bodhi Hashi, Rohafu Oorigara-mi 😙. I'll make love to you now ♬Congratulations on your victory 🥂! The aroma is sweet and fruity 😌. The first sip is a nice sweetness. Hmmm? It's time for him to come...here he comes! I drank it in a gulp, but the aroma comes through quite well, so I think it would be sweeter if I drank it in a Riedel 😋. Still, it was sharp and crisp, as if to say, "It's dry! The feeling that the wine is sharp and tight is quintessential Ona-san 😙. We are the type of people who drink mostly by feel, so this is a perfect bottle for us. ‼️ I want this one to be umakuchi (delicious) or sweet and sour! I think there might be a series of "Umakuchi" or "Sweet & Sour"! Maybe we can make a series called "Umami" or "Sweet and Sour" 😄. I think someone might say "Give me some money 🤩" 😆. After being backed into a corner 😰, we were surprised to see Rojas HR 🤗 and our guess Pahez's good defense ‼️ and Smichan's HR ⚾️ after the supporting cast played well and pulled them together 🤗! You all know! It's the Yamamoro of the world‼️ I went to the liquor store to buy a bottle of this and to my surprise, it was a ras one😳This could be a Yamamoto whirlwind in the sake industry! I drank it outside a long time ago, but this is my first time drinking it at home. I'll make love to you The aroma is fruity 😌. I love the aroma, it's fruity 😌, and the taste is delicious like a seamless seam 😋, while I also feel the acidity that comes to my throat, It was as sharp as a split 😙. The ⚾World Series games have been too long and I'm behind on my writing 📝😅This is the 4th bottle I drank the weekend before last! If I can drink this much, I'll be fully recovered from J&N ‼️ Well, it would be nice to have Chinese for lunch on this day, wouldn't it? We found a highly rated restaurant and went to ‼️. We were in line at lunchtime, but the turnover was fast and we entered the restaurant 🍺 and enjoyed a lunchtime drink 🍺 with fried rice with egg, dumplings and fried lebanilla. The food was delicious, but the portions were quite large. After that, we walked to Utsunomiya station to eat 👣 and went shopping 🏠 before heading home in good health 🏠. Then we started the party with the side dishes we had bought! So Honor was chosen there 🤗I got this one at Hitomi Sake Shop, which I hadn't been to in a while, but then I wondered which one to buy, the bunny girl Matsu no Kotobuki 🤔. But I thought the bunny was sweet? I thought so and passed on it 😅but when I saw the sake wa, it's dry 🧐. I'll make love to you I don't think it has much of an aroma 😑. I'm not sure if it has any aroma ἑ but when I take a sip, wow..! The flavor spreads in your mouth 😊Yes, it's mellow😇! It's mellow😇 You can also taste the acidity in the umami 😋 and it leaves a lingering aftertaste after swallowing 😚. I'm glad to be able to feel this kind of deliciousness.

By the way, it was Nobby's birthday 🎂 over a week ago 🥲 on Sunday, October 12! We had planned to get together at Ichikawa that day and celebrate 🎊 with everyone, but... as I mentioned in my previous post, Nobby got sick from the previous Thursday and we had to give up 😓, and from Friday night Jay had the same symptoms😱. Neither of them had corona or flu, but it was like something was sitting in the back of their nose and throat and making them cough 😩. But it was my birthday and I had to cheer myself up ‼️ so I took out the "Unaju" for lunch that day🤗. I also bought a cake while I went to pick it up, and we celebrated with coffee☕&cake🍰 after lunch without alcohol🥹.

A lot has happened since we had the Yamasan Spark on 10/1 😅I took two whole weeks off from sake 🍶 😑. One of the reasons is that my daughter and Nobby had a weekend date! Jay, on the other hand, dropped Nobby off at Utsunomiya station and decided to hit the liquor stores near the station 🚙. We went to two liquor stores that seemed to sell "Kawaguchi Natto" and Ohna-san's "Sharakuchi Gokonna" ‼️ right after they opened and got them safely 👍A few other bottles as well! The third picture is the result of this day🤗. After that, we both got sick 😓and although I still haven't recovered completely 🥲, I'm feeling much better now, so we decided to disinfect with alcohol after a long time 😇. Then we chose "Akatombo" by Senkou from Tochigi sake ‼️ and it was the first time we drank at home in about 3 years😅. I'll make love to you The aroma smells like alcohol, probably because it's been a long time since I've had it. I take a sip and ahhh, it's been a while since I've had this taste 🥹 but I kind of feel the bitterness in the second half... J&N🫥 that I feel the exact same bitter taste from the alu smell In fact, when we drank beer 🍺 at rehearsal the day before, we both felt it was more bitter than usual 🤔If I can't drink like this 😱. But don't worry 😌we got back on track after the second glass 😊and were able to get back on track in an instant 😙. Oh, but the number of words in the flavor review... it's so good 😋 Tochigi love 🥰.

The first sip of this wine is a bit of a surprise, and the flavor spreads to a fresh acidity! The bitter taste is then released 😋. In the Sake-no-wa report, Ymdaz said that the balance was improved by letting it sit for a day, and Kotaro also said that he felt a Mori🧐-like flavor. We too were like, "Should we stop and put a lid on it now?" "Hmm? I'm drinking it now, so it's the last one. ⁉️" Yes~. J&N can't adjust their drinking speed 😆.

Here is the last bottle I drank in September! Nobby is coming back to Utsunomiya after a long absence from his father's care in Ichikawa. I wanted to make him happy with something delicious, so I went to Asanoya for the squid toro maki (toro roll). But I didn't find what I was looking for 😓I was about to go to the cashier with the bonito and octopus in my hand when I got a poke on my back 🙄I turned around and saw the guy holding the ika toro maki in his hand 😳. Without a pause, he took it from me and said, "Oh! Please give me this ‼️" and took it from him and got it 😄I guess he looked like he definitely wanted it when he entered the store 😅Thanks uncle 🥹. As long as I have this sashimi! I'm already at ease😊. The sake I paired it with was this one that looked delicious and I liked the name! I'm going to make love to you! I'll make love to you! The aroma is slightly fruity and mild 😌. The first sip has a gentle mouthfeel with a gentle acidity 😙It's a refreshing yet sweet taste at the end 😇. I took a sip of the squid toro maki... and then poured the Yuuo into it... ooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh........... J&N are feeling relieved that their father is better 😮‍💨 and excited about their first sake dinner 🍶 in a long time 🥳! As the name "Nebula Akizuki" implies, we drank it and it was so clean and clear that we had plenty of highballs afterwards 🤤.

This is our second bottle of Nanayo and this time it's a pink label with a hint of sweetness: ‼️ Let's see what the international J&N standards say about it 🤗. I'll make love to you! The aroma is peachy with the pink label! The first sip is a gentle, sweet and sour taste, not too sweet, but light and easy to drink 😙. It is a very safe wine that meets J&N's standards. By the way, after the Dodgers won the district series against the Phillies this weekend ⚾I was so excited to see the Japanese players play so well 😍I hope they can keep up their momentum to become the number one team in the world! Let's continue where we left off last time! Everyone's idol was discharged from the hospital suddenly 😆 but there is a fear that his blood pressure may drop when he stands up and he needs to be watched over by his family for a while 🤔. So Nobby went to Ichikawa to take care of her for the week at the end of September 🥺. She took on a very difficult role, almost unable to go out, and I was away and unable to do anything 😓I really can't thank my sister and Nobby enough for their dedicated support 😌. I've been through a lot recently 😅I wasn't able to do much sakewa rice-activities 📝 a while ago 😩 but I took the advice of editor-in-chief Nobby that I should raise the number because everyone would be worried 😊I've calmed down a bit and will raise the drinks I had before 🤗. I was at the liquor store and I was sure I was looking for a good one! I was at the liquor store and spotted a delicious looking The Tetori ‼️, which has a pictorial style 🖼️ label 🥹. I'll make love to you! The aroma is slightly fruity 😌. The first sip is described as dry, but the sweetness comes first and the umami follows it! But it was the bitter acidity that won the close battle before the finish line 😋It was a close battle of tastes that reminded me of the World Championships 😆. By the way, a lot of things happened to my father. When he was first hospitalized, he was very limp and I was worried about him, but he got better day by day ❤️‍🩹 and the care manager, nurses, rehabilitation staff, etc. strongly suggested that we all support him and let him go back home ‼️ and he was discharged from the hospital in a hurry 🤗. During his hospitalization, he was very popular as an old man who said "thank you" in many different languages 😅 as you can see in the third picture 😆 He was discharged from the hospital surrounded by nurses in nice poses as "everyone's idol" 🥹.
