The liquor store we are most indebted to in Tochigi Prefecture is 🤔Mashidaya 👍and we were able to welcome the 100th bottle of commemorative sake from "Mashidaya" to our home: ‼️ It is obvious that such a commemorative sake should be Tochigi sake, isn't it? We agreed that a collaboration sake would be good 🤗. Mashidaya and Ona teamed up to create this special order product! We were told that Mashidaya understood our wishes and specially prepared a bottle by examining one tank of the brewing process. I know, I know... that feeling... well, let's not mention it now 😌. I'll make love to you The aroma is sweet ☺️ The first sip has a strong umami 😙The sweetness comes out as you drink, but it's a good sweetness 😋The volume is good and the mouthfeel is good, so the next sip is quick 🤤. This is a "Bakamai" that lives up to its sign, or rather, its label 😄. I checked the label again and it says "very tasty" instead of "ridiculously tasty" 😅. The second largest liquor store J&N buys from is Saito-san with 61 bottles, followed by Megada-san with 50 bottles 😌. 🤗 Well, the Utsunomiya area is really blessed with good liquor stores and is a paradise for drinkers.

Here is a bottle that I received from a sake friend a while ago! It's been sitting in the fridge, but it's our first Morimin. ‼️ For people like us who always use Mori🌳 as a walking course, this might be the perfect bottle for you. I was looking forward to drinking it since it was highly rated by everyone at Sake-no-wa, including Mr. Wakata, Mr. Bouken, and Ms. Ane 😋. But I have not had this cloudy white bottle in a long time 🤔. I'll make love to you I love it 😋 I take a sip and it's soooooooooooooooooooooooo good 😊. At first I thought it was a little sweet, but it's fresh, fruity and easy to drink 😋 Or maybe it's more accurate to say that I taste it rather than drink it 😌. I thought it was going to be a traditional Japanese pop song from the looks of it, but eh...! It's a good pop song 😙...very unexpected 😄. I couldn't drink it all at once, so I split it over several days and enjoyed it 😊. I don't know how it came to be like this 🤔 but it's the J&N family tradition to describe something impressive as "XXXMIZAWA0mi" 😅. We named this sake "Doromizawa Doromi" to express our affection for it 😆. What the heck...

Tochigi Lunch - Night Out Drinking: Finished After adding one more dish, we finished off with a heated sake from Kamikimoto 🤗It was plump and delicious! We stayed for about two hours, but the food was reasonably priced and the sake was delicious! No wonder it's a popular restaurant 😊. It was a cold 🥶 night after that, but we returned to Utsunomiya station at a quick pace and walked further west for about 15 minutes to finish up! We arrived at Izakaya Shosuke, which is often featured in Solitary Gourmet and other TV shows. ‼️ When I opened the door and asked inside, there were many empty seats! I asked, "Do you have a reservation?" When I told them I didn't, they asked me if I had a reservation. I told him that I didn't have a reservation and he said ❌...😱It looked like it was empty...but it couldn't be helped, I would like to come back again 😌. By the way, I took a sudden weekday off this time. The night before, we talked about going somewhere 🤔 since it was a consecutive holiday, and the idea of going to Yamagata, which I have never visited before, came up. ‼️ but since it was late, we couldn't come up with a plan 😓 We decided to spend it slowly... so we made a reservation only for dinner at Oto's. The next morning was sunny and ☀️, and Nobby suggested, "Let's go out! The next morning it was sunny and , and Nobby suggested that we go out and have fun 🤗We didn't go to Yamagata and ended up going around the neighborhood, but it turned out to be a lot of fun! Tochigi Lunch - Night Out Drinking (3) The first Hidakami was quickly absorbed along with the sashimi, so next we ordered a spicy ten (辛天), which we had been curious about but hadn't had a chance to drink yet! I took a sip and wondered if it was dry or not ❓It was fresh and dry with even a hint of sweetness 😋. Nirutaro-san also went to this restaurant at the Kenmin-kai! The menu includes a 3,000 yen omakase 70% course, which is designed so that you can have your drinks with a 70-minute stomach, which is also a hit with the hearts of sake drinkers 😊. And the restaurant is so busy that you would think it was Friday night? It's so busy that you'd think it was Friday night! It's not far from the station, but this is great ‼️ and the part-timers are very conscious and attentive 👍I wish we could use it for prefectural meetings and such 🤔. I'm a Michelin guy ⁉️🤣. Next up was Kouji's Dai-harakuchi Hatsushibori-shibori-which had a nice bitterness and astringency on top of the umami, making it the driest of the bunch 😋Surrounded by all these great snacks, even though I knew I had to drink it slowly, it really made the sake go down the drain! The course ended with a bowl of rice topped with milt gohan (rice with milt)! It was delicious too! I'm at about 7 minutes sober and hungry. But I think I'll drink some more! to be continued

Tochigi Daytime - Nighttime Outside Drinking (2) After leaving Kanuma, we took a bus 🚌 to Utsunomiya and made a U-turn 🤗. In order to reduce the nira feeling 😅 in our mouths, we went into a coffee shop in front of the station and had a parfait 🍦 & coffee ☕️ while our cell phones and we took a short recharge 🔌 break. After that, we walked to Mekada Sake Brewery to fill our stomachs! We went through the sakes we've had before like HIRO-chan, Yukigumo, Yukidaruma ☃️, etc. 💃 and got the Tsuneyama and Iraka that we were interested in👍. But when I saw your post, I regretted a little 😓 that I should have bought HIRO-CHAN Nigori too. After dusk🌆, the next place I headed to was Oto, a restaurant I've been wanting to visit for a long time: ❗️ This popular restaurant is located in a residential area about a 15-minute walk from the east exit of the station. I had made a reservation the night before 🤗. We toasted with beer 🍻 and then switched to sake! First we started with Hidakami, which Ars-san also drank 🤗Kochira is a mouth opener! Lucky✌️ I had to wait until the sake arrived to eat some sashimi 🍶 and then I had a big gulp of hikakami 😌pya~‼️ yeahhhh 😚 it all goes well together! Even on a Tuesday night, the restaurant was packed with customers. And with the parade of tsuzumami, one sake bottle will be finished in no time 😋Now, on to the next....

Tochigi Lunch - Night Out Drinking ①. On Tuesday, I suddenly had a day off... I decided to go to Kanuma! and we started our activities in the morning.... Kanuma is a city of 90,000 people in Tochigi 😅I'm sorry it's not a major place name like Kyoto 🙄. Now, let's get back on track💦. We took a bus 🚌 to "Micchan Soba" near Shin-Kanuma Station, which I had been curious about after watching Ujikakuten on YouTube! We arrived at our destination after about an hour's bus ride including connections🤗. The restaurant opened at 11:30 and was packed right away. ‼️ We succeeded in getting a seat right after the opening! We ordered Chilli Soba, Chilli Kakiage, and Chilli Soba Yaki Sushi. And what was the fresh pickled vegetables served as a side dish? And what was the new pickled vegetables that came out as a side dish? Yes, you know what it is 🤣. If anything, this was the best chives I've ever had! I added some spicy konjak and ordered a bottle of sake to fight off this army of chives. It was a powerful opponent, but it had an earthy flavor that enveloped them all 😋. We were very satisfied with the taste of everything 😋 and left Kanuma after a quick sightseeing tour of Shin-Kanuma station with its fairy-like atmosphere 😅 with the smell of chives wafting around us. Yikes - the mornings and evenings are getting colder 🥶 and you want to warm up with a hot pot 🍲, which naturally brings out the sake 😙. This is why this Sunday, Mr. Loman, who is new to drinking at home, ‼️Noby got it because it was delicious when he drank outside 🤗. I'll make love to you The aroma is fruity 😌. The aroma is fruity 😌 and when you take a sip, you'll be whispering 😙. It's beautiful and easy to drink, with a hint of sweetness and a clean and crisp taste, it's a good sake for a meal 😋. It went perfectly with the nabe (hot pot) we had that day👍. And here's the story of the second restaurant after Shinshin-san and I split up on Saturday! Kotori-san and I headed to the newly opened [Eki-naka Shokudo] in the souvenir store area at the west exit of Utsunomiya Station. In the meantime, Shinshin-san was heading to a class reunion in Moka by bus (🚌), and in the 40 minutes or so it took him to get there, he contributed 6 bottles he just drank 😳 He said he had to leave Tochigi because he couldn't register the restaurant 🥲, but that's the way it goes! You work fast👍 Meanwhile, our stomachs were growling 😐 We ordered a set of three different types of Tochigi sake 🍶 and a few snacks, and had a heated discussion about the venue for the upcoming Kenmin-kai and child-rearing 😌. Preparations for the women's meeting are steadily underway 🤗. I raised Fukushima sake but drinking out is Tochigi love 🥰.

I received a call from Shinshin SY in the middle of last month, and he said he would stop by Utsunomiya before the class meeting ‼️, so I asked him to join us and we actually met yesterday! First of all, Kotori-san took the role of an attendant for the lunchtime drinking course 🤗. First, we went to Kura, a buckwheat noodle restaurant that is often visited by residents of Utsunomiya! From there, they went to Utsunomiya Station, Light Line, Hitomi Sake Shop and so on! That's just like Kotori-san 👏! We arrived at Utsunomiya station around 2:00pm after running errands until mid-afternoon 🚌 and had a quick drink of Otokoyama at Sushikatei while we waited for them to arrive 😙 They appeared and joined us after about 30 minutes! The party was about to start 🤗. We had a bottle of Snowball ⛄️, which we haven't had this year, and they had a local sake set 🍶. Kotori-san told us that this year's Snowball was good, and it was indeed delicious without any roughness 😋. After that, while we were drinking shichimizu, Shinshin-san brought in a bottle of Toyo Bijin (a Japanese beauty). ‼️ It was a very enjoyable meeting and chatting with him. Afterwards, the three of us drank and talked, and I worried about what to do if there was too much left over. We were worried about what to do if we had too much to drink, but the bottle was empty before we knew it and we were on our way to the second 👋.

I've been working furiously this week 😵 and haven't been able to do any writing & rice activities 😩. So I'm late to the party, but I had a drink last weekend at the expensive 寫楽さん🤗. I'll make love to you! The aroma is sweet and fruity 😌. The first sip is both round and fresh 😚 It went well with the sashimi of the day 😋. By the way, let me tell you about last Wednesday, November 27. We took a day off and went out together. He had eaten a really delicious meat at a company dinner party 😋, and since he had never done anything for our birthdays or wedding gifts 😅, he suggested that we treat him to lunch for the past 5 years 🤗! It was our first time to eat at epicurean and the decor was gorgeous 🤩, different from other yakiniku restaurants we usually see 😳. We toasted with beer 🍻 and highballs 🍻 and enjoyed the food and conversation 🍻. After lunch time, there were no more customers around and we realized we had been there for about 3 hours 💦 how slow we were going 😅. I had mixed feelings about the pleasure of having my son buy me a drink ☺️ and feeling sorry for making him pay for it 🥲...and some heartburn from eating fatty food ☹️...but thank you 🥹.... It's been warm this week😙. On the other hand, here is a bottle I drank last Wednesday when it was getting cold 🙄 I raised the Sentori renewal, so it's the other way around 😅. Now let's enjoy this one while remembering last week when it got colder 🥶🤗. I wondered if winter would really come with such warm weather 🤔, but I guess it is coming 😑. It's usually a rest day Wednesday when the cold weather comes, but the star of the day is Nabe🍲, and if that's the case, we have to go for that 🍶 that has been waiting for us at room temperature: ‼️ So, it's been a while since our favorite sake, Toyobai's [heated], has been available in Nonbei Yokocho👍. We decided to drink it while enjoying the change of temperature by looking at the label that comes with the bottle. We started off with it at human body temperature, and yes, it had a nice aroma! The aroma was delicious and it tasted better warmed up 😋. Then we raised the temperature to lukewarm, and wow, it just keeps getting better and better! But I finish it before it gets to hot 😅It's a race between J&N's drinking speed and Yumbei Yokocho's temperature rise 😆. In the end, we waited a bit to drink it and enjoyed it until it was "atsukan" 😊. In hindsight 🤔I should have started with "tobikiri kan" and let it cool down while drinking 😓. My favorite was the "top warmed", it was so good I salute my superiors 😁.

SENKYO Renewal 2 The information of getting New SENKYO 3 kinds & Snowman is increasing one after another in Tochigi Pref. Now, we are continuing the drinking comparison at J&N House! We had Classic and Modern, but Retro is new 🤗. Classic means classic, etc., while Retro means nostalgia and love for the good old things. ☝️ I'll make love to you! The aroma is a little bit like Sentori? I think the first sip of the classic was too strong 🤔I was a little unimpressed and felt like I was drinking a delicious 🍊mikan water 😌. Well 😑but maybe my taste buds are a bit pulled 😅I ate a bowl of Tsumami once, changed to a Nosaku gulp and took another sip 😗 and.... Pya~ummmmeeeee 😚 what happened? It's a light and tasty bottle of Omachi fruity sake for a mealtime drink 🤗. SENKYO Renewal (1) Thursday, the day after the release of Edogaere Nobby had something to do in Tochigi city on that day 🚙 so he planned to drop by Mashidaya in the evening and get 3 bottles at once👍... But he couldn't stand the fact that the bottles were selling out so fast, with reports coming in on Sake-no-wa and on the Kenmin-kai LINE... Nobby couldn't stand it anymore! Nobby😥 couldn't wait any longer and went to Yodogawa Sake Shop in the morning 😆. As soon as he entered the store, he asked the store clerk 😅 with a lot of energy, "Do you have any Edogaerei ⁉️, the sake in this picture ‼️? The waitress was pushed by the momentum 😅 "Oh, we have it!" He said he brought it from the back of the store 😄. Great job Nobby 👍! So I took a picture of the three of them together 🤗It's going to be a good memory 🥹. I'm going to compare them with each other since I was able to buy them all at one time. Let's start with the classic first! The aroma is sweet Sentori😄. The bubbles are amazing when you pour it into the cup 🫢. I can't imagine that from the name "classic" 😅I think it's good for a toast 🤗. Friday was a business trip to Kobe: ‼️ But... a day trip 😫. I left home at 6:30am🌅 and took the Shinkansen 🚅 from Tohoku to Tokaido and arrived at Sumiyoshi station before 12pm! I didn't have much time, so I went to Kyushu Ramen in front of the station to fill up on ramen and then headed to my destination, Rokko Island 🚕 On the way, a cab driver told me there were Hakutsuru and Kikumasamune sake breweries 🤩 I passed them on my way back 🥲. After that I worked for about 4 hours 😅I went home before I could stop by a liquor store 😅(I wanted to buy Senzuke 😢) I was also working 💻 on the bullet train on the way home, so I didn't drink ☹️ It was after 9pm when I got home 🌃I was tired so I decided to have a light drink😮‍💨 and opened this one‼️ for the first time in a week since the prefectural meeting 😅I met you for the first time 🤗Harumi from Kohyeikiku. I'll make love to you The aroma is something citrus 🤔. I had originally planned to accompany Nobby on this trip to Kobe for a night or two 😄, but due to a variety of conflicting circumstances, we had to postpone it 🥲. Kenmin-kai Sake Report Complete Jay doesn't have much memory around here 😅Noby said it was very good 🤗Hanzo is a favorite of Sashu-san. Sashu-san's favorite sake, Hanzo, won the gold medal in the "Best Sake in a Wine Glass Award" 👍I guess the sweetness tastes better when you're out drinking without eating much food 😋. Also, the teacher who also mentioned Tsubu and Kotori offered us Shinmasa's "Eating Nirvana Kame" 😳The label says it will be consumed by the end of August 2022. Hmm? What year is it now? ⁉️ Well, it will be fine if we all drink it together 😙Sweet and sour with a texture like moromi! Perhaps this is what later did something wrong to the delicate Jay's body 😆. Kenmin-kai Sake Report (1) We had a variety of sakes from Kurata-san, including Chukai-san, which is a very dry sake, and Aizan, which is a Hanayu, because it's Akabu... No, the range from dry to sweet is too big 😅, but it reaffirms that sweet sake is also delicious when you drink outside 😋. We had a lot of sake from Kurata-san this time as well, and I'd like to introduce one of the sake that he brought to support the consumption of the Tsubu family's stock 🤗. We couldn't even find his footprints 👣 let alone his back 😍. Thanks to the excellent research skills of the Tsubuya family ‼️ I will make love to you with all my heart I didn't really feel the white malted rice, but the sweet and sour harmoniously combined with the crisp and delicious aftertaste 😙J&N we were both impressed 🥹Tsubu-chan! Thank you so much 🙇🏻🙇🏻‍♀️ The first meeting of the Kansai group was held from 2:30pm to 5:30pm and the Kenmin-kai started at 5:30pm. The first meeting was already over, but of course we were able to connect via video call with the people from Kansai who went to the second meeting 👍. The people at the party were very excited to see the stars of the Kansai region for the first time!

Probably the 5th Tochigi Prefectural Meeting ~ ‼️ It has been a little while since the last meeting, but it has been a long time 🎊. The participants this time were KazKaz and Sashu from far away, Tsubu-chan, Piro, Ars, Yasusake, Higu, Nanoha, Kotori, Nirutaro who was found by J&N Sake no Wa spy activity 🕵️ 😆 and us, 12 people in total. We are 12 people! Nirutaro-san said that he walks Niru-kun🦮 on our walking course, and we were surprised at the coincidence that we were neighbors🫢. Unfortunately, Mr. Bosuke, Mr. Alanin, and Mr. Yuki couldn't make it 😢See you all next time 👋 The place is Kurata-san, our sacred place! We'll start with a toast to Tochigi sake 😉 by Chuai 🤗Yes, it's delicious 😋. We chatted and ate while we chatted after a long time 😄The teacher brought out some rare drinks along the way and there were also some nice gifts from the Tsubasa family 🥹 for a full 4 hours 🥹 and the price was a steady 5,000 yen ‼️ Thanks again for the teacher 😊. But...I guess I was too proud of Friday's test results and drank too much😅I don't remember much from the second half 😅I was completely groggy😓 at the second meeting🥴 and left early, sorry for worrying you🙇🏻 I'll keep you up to date on what I drank 👋

We usually drink a bottle of sake, but this day was a rare occasion for us to compare with Kawakame 🤗. Our partner was Ryoko's first dry sake ‼️ I'll make love to you The aroma is surprisingly fruity 😌. The aroma is surprisingly fruity 😌 and when you take a sip, you'll be surprised! It tastes like THE sake🍶😋, but maybe it's because I still have some of Kawakame's peculiarity on my tongue🤔, it feels very heavy😓I stopped after about 1/3 of the bottle this day✋. The next day, I had it first to reconfirm the taste of Hishiko! It was a completely different experience from the first day, it was like a dry sake with a strong aroma 😋 and a delicious food sake 😚. I guess the order of drinking is important 🤔. 😅I bought a bottle of this one along with the Keiraku Nagosasake because it was too expensive 😊. I think most dry sake is reasonably priced, isn't it? By the way, yesterday I had my blood drawn for my regular checkup 🥲I went without alcohol on Tuesday and Thursday this week and drank beer🍺 on Wednesday, but now the results are... 🎊No problems with my numbers, including liver function 🤗Maybe this will shorten the period of sobriety before my physical exam next year again 😄. And..! Tonight is the first Tochigi Prefectural Meeting since March, a whopping 8 months ago: ‼️ I'm ready for a walk and now I'm off to have some fun 👋!
