Today we will be enjoying a genuine sake brewed with rice and water from Sendai and brewed in the same area 🍶. The aroma is... almost nonexistent. It is very easy to make love to and very easy to drink. Gentle sweetness, umami, and good acidity blend together beautifully✨. I was a little disappointed right after opening the bottle, but after a day of drinking it, the flavor increased and it became more delicious 😋. It is not too sweet, but it has a calm and elegant taste with a hint of bitterness. It's not flashy, but it went well with Japanese food and sashimi 😊.

I love the freshness of this once-brewed 🔥 sake ✨and the bubbly, bubbly, bubbly feeling! I think it's a raw sake. ❗️ I know it says it's really hi-ire, but I'm fine with nama-zake 🤣. I love the fruity taste of the light nigori and the pleasant gaseous sensation, followed by the gentle acidity and slight bitterness.... Really easy to drink. ☺️ And it's great that it's only 1,540 yen for this quality ✨. This is sweet and fruity 🍈🍈🍎🍑!

It is hard to find "Isshaku Suisei" at my place 🍶. I found it at a liquor store quite far away from here, so I had to buy it 🙋. This sake means "the most delicious sake made from white rice and water" 🍶✨✨. Pleasant aroma reminiscent of white peaches: ☺️ The sake has a beautiful texture and the rice flavor and a hint of sweetness flows through the mouth without being sticky at all. The finish has a gentle acidity and a slight bitterness that finishes nicely.... It's very easy to drink, so you can enjoy it with just about anything 😋. It is a very elegant and well-balanced sake 🍶. It is very easy to pair with a variety of meals, making it a very good food sake ♬.

This is the first Toyoga here, highly recommended by the liquor store owner 🍶. Fruity, thick and mellow aroma ✨. The moment you take a sip, you can feel the delicious rice flavor and full sweetness spreading in your mouth, while the light acidity and bitterness are also delicious 😋. It is quite drinkable 🍶. No wonder the owner recommended it so highly 🍶. After all, it is "Tennyo no Shizuku" ✨Thanks for the sake ☺️ (see the label on the back) Personally, I like it cold, but it tastes more mellow and full-bodied when it's slightly warmed up.

Second souvenir from my trip to Kanazawa drinking trip 🍶. The sister of the liquor store recommended this one: 💁‍♂️ It is very popular and some people from outside of the prefecture come to buy this sake... Let's get started! First, let's start with the aroma, it's not fancy but it has a mild and gentle aroma of rice✨. I'll make love to you after the sweetness comes and the sourness starts to kick in. I love it! No, no, no, this is delicious. ☺️ It's smooth and sweet, but not too sweet, and the aftertaste is smooth and clean, so it's definitely good as a food wine ✨✨. I love it on its own too! Personally, I enjoyed it more at room temperature than cold 😋. It's also absolutely delicious hot ✨✨

The pink label is lovely. ☺️ This is my first time to "Tsukiyoshino" and I don't know much about it, so I did a little research. Wakabayashi Brewery is located in Ueda City, Nagano Prefecture. The second daughter of the Wakabayashi family, Mami Wakabayashi, has been the toji (master brewer) of the brewery since 2016✨. The sake from Wakabayashi Brewery has won the gold medal at the National New Sake Competition for two consecutive years (last year in 2024 and this year in 2024) 🎊. The sake at that time seems to be called "Tsukiyoshino no Shin" 🍶. I'd love to try it if I see you someday ☺️ Now let's try the "Tsukiyoshino Hana" this time 🍶🍶. As the name suggests, it has a fresh and gorgeous aroma, and as the pink label suggests, it has a pleasant fruity scent like white peaches. The taste is elegant and rich with sweetness and the umami of the rice ✨. The moderate acidity and astringency appear later and flow gently 😋. The sweetness is quite strong, but it also has an alu feel and is very delicious ♬♬. Overall, delicious 🩷.

After a lot of struggle, we managed to open the bottle✨ Calm, sweet and gentle aroma: ☺️ I love the taste of the wine, it has a nice sweetness and a great spread of flavor. The sweetness and umami spread out and are very juicy and delicious 😋. The refreshing and gentle acidity is so refreshing that the back of your throat is telling you it's delicious 😋. It has a good balance of sweetness, flavor, and acidity and is very easy to make love to. And it's delicious! ❗️ This is definitely a sake to be enjoyed on its own.

The last one of the day...Tasake-san sitting in the middle of the fridge 🍶. I can feel the sense of being a rusbosu... 😆. Here we go 🍶. Slightly fizzy despite being quite old ✨✨. Fruity and mildly sweet on the palate ✨✨. It has a good taste, a good sharpness, and a good aroma 👏👏. My impression is a bit crude, but I was more interested in the boxed rice wine that was on the top shelf of the fridge... It's not on the menu, and I'm pretty sure it's the expensive stuff😅. It has a gentle sweetness and a smooth, curdless mouthfeel that makes it very easy to drink ✨✨. It also has a delicious flavor and a clean finish 🍶🍶. The last one in the "Fruity Set" is from the great Otter Otter. I made love to this "Otter" for the first time since I bought it a few years ago. It was the same 30%/90% at that time too. ☺️ The aroma, sweetness, umami, and aftertaste are all very satisfying and beautiful 🍶. It's still delicious ✨✨. It was the most fruity and rich but not too rich and clear out of the three 🎵. I gave it to my two companions and they said, "Isn't it too sweet? I was told it was "too sweet". What a laugh! I gave it to a guy who usually only drinks whiskey and a guy who says "I like dry whiskey" 😭 But that aside, the order of drinking this fruity set is pretty important 🍶. I was right to start from the first one ♬.

Next is the middle "figure" 🍶. I was about to reach for it when I suddenly noticed something... Well, both sides are from Yamaguchi Prefecture! Tochigi Prefecture is sandwiched by Yamaguchi Prefecture. I thought they might be narrow, but their black aura and the character for "figure" gives them a sense of dignity that's kind of cool ✨✨. And then I thought of something stupid... I'll have it while thinking that I'm an idiot 🙏🙏🙏🙏 The aroma is a little subdued, but it also has a melon-like floral flavor. The soft texture gives it a gentle sweetness and umami while the well-balanced acidity is still delicious 😋. I have the impression that it is slightly sweeter than the previous "Ganki" 🍶. I drank it all up in no time while eating fried gizzards, so let's move on to the next one: ☺️

Today we will have the "fruity set" from the sake tasting set 🍶✨. They're all fruity for sure - looking forward to it ☺️ I'll start with the "Ganki" on the left 🍶. The aroma is mild but slightly fruity ♬♬ The mouthfeel is smooth and elegant with a sweet, umami type taste. ☺️ It's not sharp in a good way and very easy to drink ✨. The acidity is mild and it is easy to match with various dishes 😆. I'll have it with the sashimi platter that was brought to the table right away...yes, it's delicious ✨✨✨.

I still have to mention this sake before drinking it... The impact of this label 😆. The label is so elegant that you wonder if it's really sake anymore 🩷. The shocking pink letters look great on the black bottle✨ The aroma is gorgeous and fruity ♬. The rich sweetness and fine umami from the smooth mouthfeel comes in turns and keeps you busy 😆. Sweet but the clear acidity does a good job of making it easy to drink without getting tired ✨✨. The taste is as high quality and brilliant as the impact of the label: ☺️ I want to make love to you and drink other W series with different sake rice. I'd love to try the other W series with different sake rice, but this pink one is still the most fashionable 🩷.

This is the first souvenir from my trip to Kanazawa drinking 🍶. I went to a lot of trouble to get an explanation from the lady at the liquor store, but my memory is so stupid that I can't remember anything 🥲. As generally stated on the back label, this "Kinchaku" rice is said to be the oldest ancestor of Koshihikari 🌾🌾🌾🌾🌾. Please refer to the back label for more information 🤗. Let's start with the aroma, it is slightly lactic but also sweet ☺️ As for the taste... oh what is this... it's delicious 😋! Even though it is fire-aged, it is very tasty with a fresh, bubbly taste, fresh sweetness, rice flavor, and refreshing acidity. ❗️ Is this the power of modern Yamahai? The smooth mouthfeel is so delicious, it's like an adult soda pop, sweet and juicy ✨. It's also very easy to drink due to the low alcohol content of 12 degrees 🥰. Oh man...I almost drank it all in one gulp 🍶. I held it in but it was half gone in an instant💦. I almost finished half of it 💦...hmmm? No need to hold back, right? I'll make love to you tomorrow and enjoy it later After the second day, I felt a little less tight... I think it's better to drink it as soon as possible.

To be honest, I'm not the only one who feels the urge to drink when I see the word "Omachi" lol! What is it...this absolute sense of security I feel about Omachi? I don't know if this is the realm of the omatist... lol Well, putting that aside, let's try it 🍶🍶! The aroma is not that strong. The mouthfeel is very clean, and even though it's fire-aged, there's a bit of gasiness. ☺️ The fluffy flavor of Omachi spreads, with a crisp acidity and bitterness in the aftertaste. Astringent? It has a complex flavor, but it is quite light and easy to drink. It is slightly dry, so it is not that sweet and fruity 🍶. It's more the type of sake that shows its true value as a food wine ✨.

I'll make love to a small sake brewery on Sado Island in Niigata Prefecture. This time we will be drinking Itsuki Junmai Ginjo Nama Genjyo 😊. Itsumi Shuzo also has another brand called Shinryo, which is made with local rice and water 🌾. Let's get started 🍶. Quite a gorgeous, fruity aroma ✨. The mouthfeel is soft, with a delicious rice flavor and a mellow richness 😋. It has a strong alcohol taste on the back palate as is typical of Niigata sake, but it doesn't linger and has a nice sharpness ♬. It's a little high in alcohol content at 17%, but the crispness makes it easy to drink 😋 It's a little on the dry side, but it's still quite tasty✨. By the way, right after opening the bottle, I felt the alcohol taste was rather strong, but after a few days, the taste became more coherent 🍶.

Kanazawa Drinking Frenzy Trip Day 2 🍶. Next stop was Kurumata Shuzo, famous for their "Tengu Mai" 😆. The brewery is located in a very relaxing rural setting ♬. The exterior of the store has a retro feel to it, but also feels somewhat modern ✨. The inside of the store is very clean and the bottles of each brand are neatly lined up 😊. I took my time to lick around the store (how to say that 💧) and immediately started to compare three different types of drinks 🍶. There are various sets available, but I chose the "Brewer's Limited Premium Set" ✨. (1) Daiginjo brewed with Kanazawa yeast (2) Kuramoto Limited Sake Yamahai Junmai Daiginjo-LIMITED (3) Oldest sake Junmai Daiginjo I drank them in order from the left, and they were all delicious 😋. The best of them all... was the Ko-Koshu Junmai Daiginjo ✨. It's hard to tell from the picture, but it's slightly amber in color compared to the other two 🍶. The aged sake had a sweet aroma, a rich and smooth texture, and a luxurious taste full of mellow flavor 😋. I wanted to buy some as a souvenir, but the price was quite expensive💦. I told myself that I'd give myself a break on the tasting this time 😑.
