I'm back after about 10 days of sobriety (because I had polyps removed endoscopically). I haven't had a drink like this in decades. I have to work in Yamaguchi tomorrow, so I'm going to stay over the night before and have a few drinks by myself 😚. Today, the stores are quite crowded 😣. I didn't make it to the first one, but went to an izakaya that mainly serves gyoza (Japanese dumplings) with sake. First time drinking Omine 3-grain Hi-ire Yamadanishiki! One sip and it's fruity😘. I can feel the sweetness. I don't feel much sourness, maybe it's been a while since I opened it lol Soft and gentle sweetness It's a little bit unique, how can I describe it? But it's delicious 😋. It's been a while? So especially delicious 😋😋😋.

Good evening, Takashi. Congratulations on your return from sobriety 🎉. That must have been really hard 💧. I'm sure the alcohol you had to endure must have sunk in after so long ✨. Take care of yourself and enjoy your drinking time 😊.

Good evening, Takashi 😃. After 10 days, Omine-san's sweetness must have gently soaked into all five organs - ☺️ When I saw the drinks you drank...are the polyps that were taken also three grains? I thought 😆.

Good evening, Jay & Nobby😄. It's good! 😁 Sure, it could have been 3 grains 🤣. I'll try to get back on track a little bit.

I saw this one at the liquor store and I had never had it 🤔. I brought it home with me. Hamachidori Nigori Sake It is made with Iwate sake rice "Ginginga", Iwate yeast "Yuko no Omoi", and Iwate malt fungus "Reimei Hiraizumi". A bit shwashy (of course!). Sweetness, though, A little yogurt-like sourness. Nigori is dangerous because you don't feel it too much even though it has 17% alcohol 😅. I drank 2/3 of it on Jan 4. On the 6th (today), I had an endoscopy, and the day before that, I didn't drink. During the exam I had a small polyp removed, so exercise and drinking is banned for a week starting today😱. Next Saturday was our annual high school classmates tennis, hot spring, and drinking party 😭. The day before yesterday, I had lunch with my family at a nice Japanese restaurant in Ebisu hotel, but I was the driver on that day 😭 The remaining 1/3 of Hamachidori is in a week, I guess I should rest my liver this year 🥴.

Hi Pon 😊 I still have to wait for the final results at the end of the month, but today they said I can take it in a week. I am wondering if it was really necessary to take it for a little while. I think so, but just in case, it's been a long time since I've had a week off from drinking!

Hi Takashi, Good evening. I'm sorry you had to go through such a difficult time with the polyp removal from the examination 💧. I can't believe you can't exercise or drink for a week, I really appreciate your hard work🍀. I wish you well and hope you resume drinking 😊.

My daughter and her husband are coming for New Year's, and I thought that even people who don't usually drink sake would find it tasty. I decided on this one. I decided on this one, Suidama. I could feel the sweetness, but it was soft and not too strong A sense of sweetness of rice. A little bit of sourness too? Yes, delicious 😋. But in the end, my daughter and her husband only drank one cup of Kifeng Tsuru each on New Year's morning I drank the Suiyu all by myself 😖. No problem though because it's delicious 😜.

Happy New Year 🎍. I wish you all the best this year 🙇. I'm spending New Year's Day relaxing with my daughter and her family, eating Osechi. New Year's sake is a new sake from Kibotsuru! I chose this one because the label looks like New Year's! First time drinking it. Slightly carbonated and a little shwashy! A little sweetness, freshness! Delicious chilled 😋. Dangerous at this pace, feels fattening 🤣.

Ibigawa I found on a business trip to Gifu Sugihara Sake Brewery's local sake from Imi (seems to be a small number, so I buy it when I find it, but alas, I never found Imi 😮‍💨) The last time I bought Ibigawa it was a special honjozo (delicious), so this time I went for the special junmai sake. Sweet, really delicious 😋😋. Soft sweetness, not too sweet, refreshing Feeling of rice sweetness A dangerous one that goes slooooowly. Slightly more sour than when I drank the honjozo before? But I can't really tell the difference between it and the honjozo unless I compare them at the same time 🤔. I'd like to try it next time when I have a chance!

Soba noodle shop④ The last dish of the day was, figure (almost the proprietress's choice 🥛 on this day) It has a surprisingly high alcohol content of 17.2 degrees! 100% Omachi It was also beautiful and tasty (I think). I think it was a little bit thick and lingered on my tongue 🤔. I already have almost no notes, and even less memory! I always go out for a drink with a customer and can't write it down. However, I had a good time at the customer's company party and the soba noodles restaurant afterwards 😄. Thanks to the customer! Thanks for your help 🙇.

Soba Restaurant (2) The second drink was "Shiboritate Raku" by Matsu no Tsukasa. It's hard to describe, but dry? (Not in a weird way.) Clear? A little dry. But there's a little bit of sweetness oozing out of it. It's fresher than the last time I drank it, maybe because it's freshly squeezed 🤣.

Buckwheat noodle shop ①. Yesterday, a customer's company held a party to celebrate the end of the year. After the party, one of the customers asked me, "How about some light Soba noodles? I said "by all means" and went to another soba restaurant even though I had already had a lot to drink. The first one was Shinsei Earth. I think this was my first time to try Earth. I knew Niimasa has a sour taste, it's fresh 😘. It also has umami! Of course, very tasty 😋. The characteristics of this lot on the back of the bottle also says a lot of good things...right? The proprietress asked us, "Would you like to go with one cup each?" We said "half each is fine" 😅. This place really stocks a lot of Shinsei!

Customer's company's year-end party (2) I was invited to a customer's company party and chose Minowamon to bring alcohol. But is this just what I want to drink? 😆 😆 I thought of another bottle for those who are not familiar with Sake! Purple Air Sparkling with Polka Dot Label 💧. (I brought it with a cooler on it) This one is fresh💦. Soft sweetness and moderate acidity 😋. And, of course, schwag! A little bitterness in it. This is also delicious 😋. A definite one. Customer's company's year-end party (1) Today, I was invited to a customer's company's year-end party and (for some reason) attended! Simply put, I think it means (maybe) bring alcohol 🤣. I was pretty confused about what to bring, but I decided on this. Daishichi Minowamon The person from the brewery was at the Yokohama Takashimaya store where I went to buy the sake, and he let me taste some and made my choice. I was a little hesitant to drink it at home... Minowamon But I wanted to try it 😋 and decided on this one for my personal needs😝. When I drank it, it was a little fruity! It's a little different from the image of Daishichi (my own image from a previous drink). It's clean and clear (maybe because it's a Daiginjo made from Yamadanishiki rice polished ultra-flat?) A beautiful sake with a strong taste of rice, delicious 😋. I wondered how it would be with people who don't usually drink sake, but I'm glad to hear that everyone thought it was delicious and drank it in droves 🥰.

I went to a liquor store by bicycle and found this one that caught my attention Manjusen Limited Edition Yamadanishiki I think this is the first time I've had Manjusen, and this is a limited edition? The label is perfect for the season: ❄️ So, yesterday Christmas Eve 🎄🎄 (my son and his wife are coming over today, but I'm not sure if they'll be home yet). (My son and his wife are coming over today, but I think they'll probably have wine or something instead of sake) Slight swoon when opening the bottle. I feel a decent amount of sweetness, but it's refreshingly sweet, with a bit of sourness. Fresh! 17% alcohol, but not heavy. Dangerous to go slooooowly 🤣. Delicious 😋.

I happened to be in a local supermarket and saw 'Phantom means unobtainable'? The name of the liquor? And it has a lot number and tank number on it. I was curious, so I bought it. I often see Hourai and other sake made by Watanabe Sake Brewery in Gifu, but the only one I've ever had is "W". When I drank it, it was very strong! ... 19 degrees alcohol by volume. It also tastes a bit pungent. There is a sweetness that tastes like rice. I wonder what the flavor comes from? Is it because it was made by the futa koji method? (I heard it was made by a method called "futa koji method"), or is it because it has matured? Is it because it's aged? I drank quite a bit of it, thinking it was too strong 😝. But if it's aluzo-sweetened and fire-aged, there might not be much difference in taste between lots 🤔, I thought,

I bought it at a liquor store just a short bike ride away. shubonne Tsukinomi-no-Ike (moonless pond) Usually, rice, koji, and water are added to the sake mother to ferment, but this one is squeezed at the sake mother stage. Sourness and sweetness stand out 😆. Apricot-like Exquisite balance Alcohol is low, 11 degrees (though it seems much thicker) Sake degree -65 (I thought it was 6.5 at first but it's 65), acidity 6.5 sharp? Takadanobaba (1) Yesterday, I had a year-end party with members of my former company in Takadanobaba, where I used to work 13-14 years ago. Since we all missed each other (all of us are no longer with the former company), we decided to go to one more restaurant (the first one also had good sake, but it was all-you-can-drink that day 🤣). A big senior (about 20 years older than me) took me to a place where he used to take me to drink sake at that time. This is where he took me for the first time to drink Ottersai, Jyushidai, Isobojama, etc... I haven't been here since then. I miss drinking with this group! Soft, sweet and fruity. Refreshing and elegant! Delicious 😋. The power of brewed alcohol, wow! Forgot to take a picture of my meal 😂. Even though it was delicious, like the famous beefsteak daikon!

At a nearby liquor store, there is always a corner set up alternately for some sake brewery, and the brewery's people come to visit. This time it was Ryoseki Brewery, so I looked in. Would you like a tasting? I was asked "Would you like to have a tasting? I bought two bottles and left. Ryoseki Hatsushibori-nama sake This is the first shipment of the year! I was struck by the great sales talk 🤣. In the mouth, it is of course sweet and fresh! But I think it tastes more robust than other Ryoseki sake I've had so far. And I can taste a little sourness and spiciness in it too! Just as I thought it looked a bit interesting when I tasted it. Yesterday I had a physical checkup, so I didn't drink it the day before yesterday, as I expected, but after a day of drinking it, it became more and more intense 😝. As for Ryoseki, I got the impression that it was too strong. But it's delicious 😋.

The one I've seen a few times at Sake-no-Wa and was a little curious about. Takachiyo Sake Brewery's winding machine First, you can taste the acidity, it's fresh. Subtle shwashiness. and a slight sweetness. The name "bubble" makes me think of bubbles, but I don't know, But it is because the rice is flat milled and washed with microbubbles, I think it means that the rice is washed and polished very carefully and gently. It is easy to drink and goes down smoothly 😋.

East Rikishi This pattern says "be careful when opening the bottle"..., I opened the bottle with great trepidation... When I put it in my mouth, there is a slight shriek. Niggly and coarse on the tongue (of course 🤣) Tiny little lumps. Sweetness, sourness? On the second day, it's a little rounder. But it's 19-20% alcohol, so I feel drunk 🥴. The degree of thickening increases 🥴! I'm not sure if it's a good thing or not 🫨.
