Is BLACK JACK a heretic in the Hiran series? We imagine "Hiran" to be sweet and sour, but how dry is it? Now, let's open the bottle! The first aroma is faintly fruity with a hint of alcohol in the back. The mouthfeel is not extremely dry, but rather moderately dry and refreshing. Above all, it has a strong flavor! A bottle I brought to my house on the way to visit the graves on the far shore of Japan. The first bottle of Ryougo! When the bottle was first opened, I had the impression that it was rather dry, but after a few days, the sweetness and flavor came through. It is not so if I say that there is anything noteworthy about it. But that does not mean it is not tasty, in fact, it is good! It's a versatile sake that can be served in any situation. The third picture is a mess I saw the other day. Is it just me or does it seem a bit too much? Electric fat... Don't abuse me, I'm not allowed to use the word "sake" without permission. 〜Kids have more money these days... Thank you for the food!

Have you visited the graves on the far side of the equinoxes? Our family's graves are located in a coastal area and a mountainous area, so we have to travel about 170 km within the prefecture to visit the graves. One of the things I look forward to is visiting the local sake shops along the way. I am always excited to visit these places because I can't usually go there. This time, my wife brought home a bottle of Glorious Sword, which has a cute retro label. It is labeled as Junmai, but in fact it is a blend of Jungin and Junmai. There is a hint of gin in the upper aroma. The mouthfeel is dry and refreshing, but it has a strong umami and a soft sweetness. It is a classical umakuchi sake with a crisp acidity and bitterness. Don't abuse the sake language, it's self-explanatory. 〜I will visit a local sake brewery with my wife. Thank you very much for the sake!

I had told my friend that I would send him a returning bonito, but it seems that the returning bonito is not doing well, so I sent him an extra large saury instead, and in return, he received an extra large crab! We invited some friends from the neighborhood and held a crab festival at Lalu's house! My friend's daughter, who happened to be back from Chiba, also came to the party, and when I let her choose the sake, she brought a bottle of Tobiroki with a grin on her face. She is as discerning as ever. I didn't notice much of the upfront aroma, but the mouthfeel is firm and flavorful, with a little bit of alcohol, and the sake is clean and classically delicious. I heated it up a little and used it with zuwai and hairy crab shell sake, which was great with the crab miso dissolved in it. Don't abuse me, I'm not allowed to say that! 〜I used prawns with sea bream, and Akinata fish with big crabs.... Thank you very much for your hospitality!

With the arrival of the fall sake season, I'll be on board for a bit. Hiyayoroshi is a new winter sake that is matured in the brewery for one summer and then shipped out in the fall when the temperature drops. I was under the impression that hiya-roshi is made when the temperature drops in the fall, but I wonder how it is made in the recent hot weather. I am sure the temperature is controlled by air conditioning, etc., but it seems strange to me that shipments start in the middle of August. So, every year I am troubled by the dilemma of wanting to try seasonal products even though I do not fully appreciate the taste of hiyaoroshi. I chose Haneya for this year's hiyaoroshi. It is my favorite brand. There is no doubt about it! I was so enthusiastic, but the fruity flavor in the beginning was not so great, and what stood out was the bitterness in the latter half. Well, I'm still not sure. Please don't abuse me. 〜Am I an immature person who can't enjoy autumn sake? 〜I'm not a mature person. Thank you very much for the food and drink!

The season for aki-togi fish has arrived! This year, the bonito was not good, but the akitogi seem to have been caught in abundance, and good-sized fish are being distributed at reasonable prices. My family also went to the Yuriage Sanma Festival. On the day of the festival, 2,000 saury were served, but the numbered tickets were sold out before 6:00 a.m., so we could not get a chance to enjoy them. However, I was able to buy a box of super extra-large akitogi, so I achieved my initial goal. We were tired from the early morning, so we took the fish to a local tavern and had it grilled with salt and served as sashimi. I paired it with Sotenden from Kesennuma. The synergistic effect of the two ingredients was delicious. Don't torture me, sake words without permission. 〜I want to eat the returning bonito, too! Thank you very much for the food!

One we took on our Obon cemetery tour. It is the recently talked about Iraka (tiled roof). I was originally hesitant to buy it because it was a little expensive (4,180 yen for a 1,500 ml bottle), but I was in a summer vacation mood, so I bought it in a good mood. The silver/black one seems to be the base model of "Iraka". On the first day after opening the bottle, I couldn't taste any aroma, and the taste was too sour and bitter, so avant-garde that I couldn't find a single good thing about it. I thought, "This is expensive, but this is it! I thought to myself, "This is it for the price! It turned out to be a wonderful wine! A hint of fruitiness in the upper aroma. The first attack is pale and fruity, and the umami taste has also emerged. The acidity and bitterness, which were so strong, have become mild, and it finishes with a salty finish. The other day, I had a lunchtime drink with an old friend. The place was an izakaya near Sendai station. We only went in because smoking is allowed. We started with sours and then moved on to sake. There was a good selection, and I ordered a bottle of Yamamoto Pure Black. The sake is served in a tokkuri (sake bottle) with the words "Yamamoto desu. I immediately poured it into the sake cup...? Even I, with my stupid nose, could tell that there was something strange about the scent of the upper part of the bottle. I was convinced after I put it in my mouth. It was a totally different cheap sake. The bitter taste was probably caused by brewing alcohol. The difference from the expected value was too much, and it tasted really bad! Maybe it's just izakaya alcohol, but this kind of business practice makes me angry. How can a guy who sells sake make his customers hate sake? I apologize for my poor writing. Hiran was delicious, sweet and vinegared! Don't abuse me, I'm not allowed to use the word "sake". 〜I hope anyone who does business in the wrong way gets a stomach ache! Thanks for the food!

The couple who joined us at the counter, we had a great time talking about wrestling and other things, and ordered Tenka Nishiki, which they recommended! They told us that they used to live in Aichi for a long time and that Tenga Nishiki, which they learned about during that time, was their first choice. While listening to a short story about the brewery, we took a sip first! The fresh and fruity taste is apparent the moment you take a sip! The sweet and tasty acidity is a direct hit. No wonder I'm so taken with it. If I had known about it, I would have highly recommended it. Sake is interesting because of encounters like this! First time drinking Ko no Tsukasa I don't think it is available in Sendai area. I learned about this brand from Sake-no-wa, and since it is my uncle's name brand, I really wanted to send it to him, but I was hesitant to spend the shipping cost to buy it. There is a certain desire among sake drinkers to give a gift of a brand related to a person's name, etc., and to make a smug face when you see the recipient's face, isn't there? It is a low-alcohol summer sake, with a refreshing sweetness and umami flavor, and a crisp finish. It was even better than I had imagined. I wish I could give this kind of sake to my uncle Takashi. Asahi Chrysanthemum brought back from the Obon cemetery bullet tour. This is the first brand of Asahi Kiku. After all, it is a Kyushu sake, so it is hard to find it in Tohoku. The aroma is almost unrecognizable. The mouthfeel is clean and dry, but with enough umami to satisfy the taste buds. It has a classical impression. The long-awaited Bon vacation was over in the blink of an eye. Due to my parents' poor health, I was unable to take an overnight trip, so I just wandered around the neighborhood or took a bullet tour to visit the graves in the prefecture. It's been a week since I started work, and with the wistfulness of the waning summer, I'd like to open a bottle of Miyakanme! Extra Class Sanmai Hachi Umami This is my favorite summer sake from Miyagi! It has a complex flavor and a sense of weight from the three types of rice used to make it, yet it's refreshing and compelling, without the lightness of flavor that is so common in summer sake. Is it the best? It is a great way to rouse a slightly downcast feeling. Don't abuse me, sake words on their own. 〜Hiyaoroshi is already out? Isn't it early? 〜It's so early! Koriyama Izumiya's hanpukai model. The label has been changed from the usual beautiful picture to an illustration of the guy. As a label hunter, I am glad to see this! The fragrance is mild, but the gasiness in the mouth, the fruity sweetness, the aftertaste that fills the nostrils, and the light acidity and bitterness all come together at a high level. In my own evaluation, I would say that Masamune is the best honjozo. Please don't abuse me, I said sake words without permission. 〜The heat and the cold will last until the end of the year... Soutenden brought back from Kesennuma the other day. Among them, FLYING BIRD is brewed for restaurants, but it is available for purchase locally. The previous blue FLYING BIRD was Tokujun, but the new Beni has been upgraded to Jungin! Fruity upper aroma with a hint of sake in the back. The mouthfeel is impressive, with an impressive acidity from the umami. It has a sharp sharpness, which is Soutenden's specialty, while giving a strong sense of the good points of the first sake. Direct Meeting No. 2 Along with hormone, we started grilling fresh sardines for the first time this year. The first fish of the year, by far. Next was Echino Kanme! This is also a first for me. I don't feel much of the scent. The mouthfeel is clean and dry, but has a crisp umami and a beautiful acidity and bitterness. It is simply refreshingly delicious! We enjoyed the essence of the famous sake that created a huge movement 30 years ago by popularizing light and dry sake. Last weekend was the Kesennuma Port Festival. I participated in the parade again this year as a member of the Kesennuma Jinrikisha Kidenkai. After the parade, we had a get-together called "Naokai. We drank our famous Kesennuma horumon (hormone), but the secretary general of Kesennuma prepared jade from Akabu. He is a master of his craft! It has a fruity, fruity aroma. It has a fruity aroma with a clean and tasty taste in the mouth! The senior staff members were surprised at the wine's quality, which reminded them of a fine white wine. Marusho, the sacred place of Sendai Senbero After a fire in 2022, Marusho reopened in April 2025, but it was so popular that you had to wait in line every day to get in. I had a day off on a weekday afternoon, so I went there for a lunchtime drink and was lucky enough to get in without waiting in line. Everything was inexpensive, including another 10 yen for salt cabbage! We didn't order any kushiyaki because we came in too early, but we were very satisfied and headed home. We decided to go to one more restaurant! So, we went to a nearby izakaya and brought our own backpot! Thanks to the sake master, we were able to enjoy such a rare sake. We served it to the owner's mother and customers. It is a hidden sake of the prestigious Nabeshima! It's too good to be true! Please don't abuse me. Here we go! Hode Nasu! The label depicts an eggplant, as is typical of summer sake. It is shipped twice a year, in summer and winter, and the number of shipments is limited, so there must be many locals who do not know about it. While there are many low-alcohol summer sakes, this one has 16% alcohol content, so it is a great value for money. It is a dry sake that does not have much of a topping aroma, but when you drink it, you will find it to be refreshingly dry. It is clearly tailored to make a clear distinction from the sweet and sour of the winter model. For a sake that is dry at the entrance, it was a delicious sake with a strong umami taste afterward. The one I bought on a recent trip to Kesennuma. The liquor stores in Kesennuma are expanding their lineup of brands, and this is one of them. It is a brand that is hard to find in the prefecture. The fruity aroma and the sourness in the mouth. It is very tasty! I paired it with Miyagi's traditional shisomiso, and the strength of the shisomiso was not defeated at all.
