I happened to find out by chance that Kankoubai, a sake I had secretly liked for some time, had won a gold medal, and bought it.
It is a sake that I would like to drink deeply, with the royal Yamada-Nishiki aroma and taste.
It is not too sweet, and I never get tired of drinking it.
Sake recommended by the waitress as an award-winning sake.
It has a very sweet aroma.
The aftertaste was also a little persistent.
It was too much for me.
60 points
I was too lazy to continue drinking the sake, so I held back and stopped 😅.
However...I was a little short on sake, so I bought some sake that I usually can't buy in Hiroshima...but bought in Tokyo🗼 when I went back home 😁.
It just arrived via Yamato 🐈⬛ and I was itching to get it lol.
I really wanted to get a bottle of Kankoubai Junginbai Yamadanishiki 50, which won first place in the Junmai Ginjo category at this year's Sake Competition 👑, beating out Jikin... but the time of the year? I couldn't buy it, so I bought a sake from the same brewery anyway 🍶.
And here is the first bottle opened 💁.
It's called TORECE13 from Kanbongbai 🤣.
The aroma is a moderately fruity ginjo aroma, and when you sip it, it has a sweet and umami taste with a slight bitterness... or not 🤔.
It is a hi-iru sake, but you can feel a slight juiciness.
It has a good balance and if you have a meal that is not too rich, it may not interfere with the taste as a food sake 👌
I'm curious to see the 2nd day taste change of sansudo and kanbonubai tomorrow 😁.
Kankoubai on the second day: 🗒️
No change in aroma, but a slight increase in umami ⤴️? There was no big change in taste, it was stable and tasty 🥰.
Recently, we have been seeing more and more names of KANKENBAI!
This time, we welcomed Mr. Owl!
Now, what does it taste like...?
It has a grape-like sweetness with a sour and bitter aftertaste.
Also, the sweetness stays for a rather long time.
It tastes even better when the temperature is raised a little, as it seems that the various corners become mellow.
It's good....after all....yummy!
Good evening, Mr. Udonpan!
KANKENBAI is delicious, isn't it?
I am reminiscing about how it was a delicious sake that was not only sweet, but also dark and delicious 😋.
Thank you for your comment, ma-ki-.
I drink it with a deep feeling that it is made with a really good balance.
I still remember the shock when I drank it for the first time...it's a really good drink👍.
KANKOUBEI Junmai Ginjo +
A bottle with a label that does not look like Kankoume.
Slightly sour and bitter aftertaste.
A sake that does not disturb the meal but restores the appetite.
After opening, I couldn't tell if it was heavy or light, but the corners started to come off and it tasted exquisite 😋.
Moderate acidity and a robust flavor, yet light and pleasant on the palate ❗️
I think I would have enjoyed it a little more if it were in a bottle...
I'll buy it in a bottle next time👍
It's hot, Hokkaido is supposed to be free from heat and humidity!
So, here is the second one from the Obihiro expedition, the Kankoubai plum of Isekuni,
It popped when I opened the bottle and poured it into a glass.
I can see air bubbles on the wall.
The taste is a little sweet and a little fizzy.
It has no alcohol attack at all.
It is a good bottle to get drunk with a good feeling.

Junmai-shu QUINCE⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
100% Yamada-Nishiki, 60% polished rice ratio
ALC 15 degrees
This time, KANKENBAI was stylishly designed with a design and brand name painted directly on the bottle and endorsement.
Despite being a junmai sake, it has a faintly refreshing aroma.
In the mouth, it has the feeling of a solid Junmai sake....
It is an easy-to-drink sake with a good taste of rice, moderate sweetness, and a slight carbonation.
