Since it was after the last order, I thought I would have to pay the bill, but they allowed me to have one last drink! Not one glass, but one. I'm not a fan of the illustrated labels of today, but it was delicious, with a slight gassy taste. I'm getting drunk, so anything tastes good.

This is a summer sake made by Kankoubai. The penguin on the label is cute.
The aroma is not so strong.
It has sweet acidity and umami, but fruity sweetness prevails. The aftertaste is a little bitter and tight.
There is no sense of alcohol.
The fourth drink at my favorite Yakitori restaurant was Kankoume by Kankoume Shuzo!
NATSU SAKE this time
I was lucky because I had seen this sake at Sake-no-wa and wanted to try it!
So let's have it right away!
First, the aroma. Not much of an aroma.
When you put it in your mouth, you will feel a refreshing bitterness from the beautiful umami.
The sweetness comes in the aftertaste.
It has a spicy and fruity taste, and this Kankoume is a very delicious sake!
Good morning, ma-ki- 😀.
I enjoyed the rabbit 🐇 from Kankoubai, so I'm curious about the penguin 🐧 as well, since it looks delicious.
I always refer to Mie Sake as I have not tasted many of them 😄.
Thank you, soumacho!
The rabbit is delicious 😋.
I got it after the Corona, so I want to try again next year🍀.
Penguin was a delicious sake, though not as sweet as summer sake 😋.
Thank you very much, Afio!
I was curious about this sake after reading your review, so I was lucky to be able to drink it 🎵.
It was a really tasty sake with a moderate sweetness, just like your review 😋.
Thank you, Jay & Nobby!
We didn't get to enjoy it at home, but we did manage to drink some Penguin 🎵.
It's a little less sweet and more refreshing than the previous Kankoume, but it went perfectly with the yakitori 😋.
It seems to be more modern, but it has a classic, slightly spicy
A little spiciness and aftertaste leave a lasting impression.
I would like to compare the back and front side of the bottle.
Kankoubai, from Tsu, Mie Prefecture, is a summer sake with a cute penguin label.
This is my first time drinking Kankoubai. Slightly fizzy and refreshingly fruity with a sake-like flavor. The finish is light and dry with a hint of bitterness.
As the label suggests, it is a refreshing summer sake that goes well with Western food.
Thank you, Jay & Nobby 😊Thank you 😊First time for Kankoubai, it was as good as it could be, only 1st place 🥇 Junmai Ginjo in this year's Sake Competition: ❗️
This is the first time I've had it, and it's not the fruity taste that's so popular these days, but it doesn't disappoint old-time sake drinkers!
I think it's a 14yo or Izumikawa strain.
I was hooked.
We received Hatsukarubai Ume (red plum blossoms) for the first time!
I found Penguin's Kanken Ume that Jay & Nobby reviewed a while ago, and I thought, oh! I thought, "Oh!
When poured into a glass, it has a fresh and juicy fruity aroma reminiscent of apples and pears, but the aroma is well-balanced so that it accompanies your meal without being overpowering. ☺️
When you put it in your mouth, it is characterized by a light and refreshing mouthfeel, and you can enjoy a slight taste of white peach 😌.
The acidity is soft and perfectly balanced with the sweetness, and the aftertaste is clean and crisp with a light lingering aftertaste that goes great with rice✨.
Unlike the appearance on the label, it had a sharp impression of a light and dry type 😌.
Also, if you look closely, you can see "kankoubai" written in katakana on the penguin's chest hair, which made me grin 😆.
Penguins, not to be underestimated ☺️✨
Good morning, Mr. Afio!
Congratulations on your first Kankoumei 🎉!
Kankoumei is my favorite sake because it is really consistent and delicious 😋.
I'd like to try Penguin as I haven't drunk it yet 🤤.
The label is cute too 🥰.
Thank you, ma-ki-!
I'd love to try some of the other Kankoubai if you see them 😋✨.
Penguin was so delicious, please do drink it! ☺️
It's so cute and eye-catching!
Thanks for the drink 🥳.
Hello, Afuio 😃.
Oh...you went to Penguin 🐧! You went to Penguin🐧‼️ yeah... such a good guy to accompany a meal like that 😊.
The grilled rice balls look delicious😍.
And...I didn't notice the chest hairs 😆.
Hi Jay & Nobby, ☺️
We finally went to Penguin!
The sake was delicious on its own, but even better with rice 😋.
It was perfect with the grilled onigiri✨
That was a hidden kankoubai 😆✨
A summer-only sake that is perfect for the upcoming hot season, coupled with the cool name "Penguin" from Kankoubai, is now in stock! The aroma is mild, and in the mouth, there is a slight gasiness and citrusy, refreshing, juicy acidity. The light yet moderately spreading umami flavor will keep you coming back for more. Enjoy it with abalone, turban shells, and sashimi of the first bonito of the season.
