Renewal first tank drinking comparison (2) Next is Nakatori 🤗. I'll make love to you right away! I'll make love to you! I see what you mean...it's like a light Aragashiri, but this one has more sweetness. I think the sweetness is more dominant in this one 😋, but... the sourness that I used to feel in the past seems to have weakened and become milder 🤔It might be to everyone's taste, but those of us who like sourness might need a little more punch 😅. Having said that, by the third day, it was better balanced ‼️ and this one was better mixed too 🤗 Well, this week, Nobby is going to Chiba on Tuesday to prepare for Christmas, room cleaning & travel with my daughter who is spending New Year's holidays abroad💦. Jay is away as he is working until today 🥲. The gaijin I introduced the other day is going to UK🇬🇧 where his relatives are, and my daughter was invited there 🥹. He was in Manchester and my daughter transferred to a domestic flight at Heathrow Airport to get to him 😍She was so excited to travel alone abroad for the first time 💓, so Nobby provided her support in advance and saw her off at Haneda 👋. We had a tearful goodbye 😭 and he flew out of Japan safely in the morning: ✈️ We'll spend the end of the year over there and come back to Japan together after the new year👍. Hope to see you in transit safely 🙏. Tochigi love from international exchange 🥰.

Renewal Hatsu Tank drinking comparison ①. When we heard that the old Hatsubatake series was going to be discontinued, we compared three bottles of it in February of this year 😌. About 10 months later, there was a call from the Sakura City area for the revival of the series. So last Thursday, Nobby, who had some business in the "Mashidaya" area, found the new 3 brothers 🍡 and brought them back home 🤗They had just been put on the shelves and the price tags were not put on yet👍. We usually keep a low profile at liquor stores 😑, but when people say "thank you so much for all your help", that's what happens when you buy 100 bottles 😅. Jay comes home and says, "What do you want to drink this weekend?" Well, we, J&N, have to compare drinks first. ‼️ So we took a group photo with our hearts racing after our first tank in a long time 🤳. The old bottle was easy to see the amount of oli, but after the renewal, the black bottle makes it hard to tell the amount of oli or the remaining contents 🤔. I'll make love to you! Yes, this aroma~☺️ I take a sip and oooohhhhhh...! Unmai sweet and sour 😋. Nobby says it feels like a wooden vat 😚. This is like a sweetness gently wrapped in a sourness 😙. And when you mix in the oli, it explodes with even more delicious juiciness 💥It's a great taste👍! Welcome back to the first tank! Love Tochigi 🥰!

It's 🎅Christmas Eve🎄, but due to some business, J&N will be away for a while from today🥲. So while listening to Shogo Hamada's "Lonesome Christmas Eve" 😌, I'll be raising the drinks I drank last week😌. This one was brought to me by Nobby on a hunch: ‼️ Actually, about a year ago, Jay was curious about Echigo-Tsurukame and brought it to us, but to be honest, it wasn't what we were expecting 🤔This time, we got our revenge with a different one👍. Nobby once said, "It's good in case of emergencies! And it's not the 11 degrees that made me say, "It's good in case of emergency!" 😁It's not the 11 degrees that made me say, "Hate ⁉️..." 😁It's the 13 degrees that made me feel safe after Yoshidagurau 😌. It's been a while since I opened the outer lid and the bottle automatically opened 😳I was surprised, but I was able to save the day because I was holding the bottle with my hand 😮‍💨 I'll make love to you The aroma is fruity and ripe 🍎. The sourness of the wine makes it refreshing and easy to drink, even with the added sweetness 😙. I feel like most of these white labels are sour, which we love 🤗. Two light, easy-drinking sakes followed, and did I really drink that one? I'm doubting my memory 🫢.

Following on from Shoryu Yomogina, here is another sake 🍶 that we got at Isetan Shinjuku! We had been saying we wanted to try it 😅but we couldn't find it at the liquor store we go to 🥲You were lamenting why it wasn't in Utsunomiya ❓. We finally got it 😁 with the power of epicurean! This is Mr. u from Yoshida Kura ‼️ I'll make love to you! I'm going to make love to you! I love it! The aroma is mild and not sweet ☺️ When you pour it into a sake cup, it is full of bubbles! The first sip has a gentle sweetness and acidity with a slight gassy feeling 😋 but not too sweet, the fresh acidity brings it all together with the umami 😙It's 13 degrees so it's easy to sip 🤗. By the way, we got this one a little while ago, after we went to Lyodoen. After a leisurely lunch, we went to another destination, the MLB ⚾️ official store ‼️ where we were looking for Dodgers goods 🤗 Of course we were looking for a lot of things, but they were all expensive 😳 Among them, we found a hoodie we liked, but the price tag was over 30,000😰 What to do Jay...okay, first things first! Let's try it on first! I came in and found that it was a good size, but it was very heavy 😓Noby was too big and I couldn't find a size that fit... I came back to myself and just did some eye candy 😌.

I've been wanting to try this for a while! I got it at Isetan Shinjuku after lunch at epicurean a while ago👍This is the first time to drink Shoryu Yomogina at home🤗. I'll make love to you! I'll make love to you! I'm not sure what to expect, but I'm sure I'm going to have to wait until I get to the next one to find out. Thank goodness we have the same taste buds 😚. If our tastes and preferences didn't match, we would have been in constant trouble and bottles of sake would have been flying around every day 😱. By the way, there was a little incident with the codfish that sat on the table that day💦. One day I came home to find a delivery slip for a crab delivery with the sender's name Jay... but I don't remember it at all 🙄. I thought 🤔 this might be a fraud 🤔 and looked at the internet information, and it seems that there is indeed such a thing, and if you look closely, the phone number of the sender is also suspicious 😰. I called the courier to return it because I was scared. I was talking about how glad I was that I didn't get cheated, and then my sister Jay, who had called to confirm just in case, called to say "I sent it as a surprise"...eh~⁉️😱 Oh no 💦. I called the courier in a dash and succeeded in retrieving the crabs: 😮‍💨 Beware of mistakes, folks 😉.

The liquor store we are most indebted to in Tochigi Prefecture is 🤔Mashidaya 👍and we were able to welcome the 100th bottle of commemorative sake from "Mashidaya" to our home: ‼️ It is obvious that such a commemorative sake should be Tochigi sake, isn't it? We agreed that a collaboration sake would be good 🤗. Mashidaya and Ona teamed up to create this special order product! We were told that Mashidaya understood our wishes and specially prepared a bottle by examining one tank of the brewing process. I know, I know... that feeling... well, let's not mention it now 😌. I'll make love to you The aroma is sweet ☺️ I love the way the aroma is so sweet 😋 but it's a good sweetness 😋. It's as good as the sign says 😄. I just checked the label again and it says "very tasty" 😅. The second largest liquor store that J&N buys from is Saito-san with 61 bottles, followed by Megada-san with 50 bottles 😌. 🤗 Well, the Utsunomiya area is really a paradise for sake drinkers, blessed with good liquor stores. Thank you Mashidaya for your love of Tochigi 🥰.

Here is a bottle that I received from a sake friend a while ago! It's been sitting in the fridge, but it's our first Morimin. ‼️ For people like us who always use Mori🌳 as a walking course, this might be the perfect bottle for you. I was looking forward to drinking it since it was highly rated by everyone at Sake-no-wa, including Mr. Wakata, Mr. Bouken, and Ms. Ane 😋. But I have not had this cloudy white bottle in a long time 🤔. I'll make love to you I love it 😋 I take a sip and it's soooooooooooooooooooooooo good 😊. At first I thought it was a little sweet, but it's fresh, fruity and easy to drink 😋 Or maybe it's more accurate to say that I taste it rather than drink it 😌. I thought it was going to be a traditional Japanese pop song from the looks of it, but eh...! It's a good pop song 😙...very unexpected 😄. I couldn't drink it all at once, so I split it over several days and enjoyed it 😊. I don't know how it came to be like this 🤔 but it's the J&N family tradition to describe something impressive as "XXXMIZAWA0mi" 😅. We named this sake "Doromizawa Doromi" to express our affection for it 😆. What the heck...

Tochigi Lunch - Night Out Drinking: Finished After adding one more dish, we finished off with a heated sake from Kamikimoto 🤗It was plump and delicious! We stayed for about two hours, but the food was reasonably priced and the sake was delicious! No wonder it's a popular restaurant 😊. It was a cold 🥶 night after that, but we returned to Utsunomiya station at a quick pace and walked further west for about 15 minutes to finish up! We arrived at Izakaya Shosuke, which is often featured in Solitary Gourmet and other TV shows. ‼️ When I opened the door and asked inside, there were many empty seats! I asked, "Do you have a reservation?" When I told them I didn't, they asked me if I had a reservation. I told him that I didn't have a reservation and he said ❌...😱It looked like it was empty...but it couldn't be helped, I would like to come back again 😌. By the way, I took a sudden weekday off this time. The night before, we talked about going somewhere 🤔 since it was a consecutive holiday, and the idea of going to Yamagata, which I have never visited before, came up. ‼️ but since it was late, we couldn't come up with a plan 😓 We decided to spend it slowly... so we made a reservation only for dinner at Oto's. The next morning was sunny and ☀️, and Nobby suggested, "Let's go out! The next morning it was sunny and , and Nobby suggested that we go out and have fun 🤗We didn't go to Yamagata and ended up going around the neighborhood, but it turned out to be a lot of fun! Tochigi Lunch - Night Out Drinking (3) The first Hidakami was quickly absorbed along with the sashimi, so next we ordered a spicy ten (辛天), which we had been curious about but hadn't had a chance to drink yet! I took a sip and wondered if it was dry or not ❓It was fresh and dry with even a hint of sweetness 😋. Nirutaro-san also went to this restaurant at the Kenmin-kai! The menu includes a 3,000 yen omakase 70% course, which is designed so that you can have your drinks with a 70-minute stomach, which is also a hit with the hearts of sake drinkers 😊. And the restaurant is so busy that you would think it was Friday night? It's so busy that you'd think it was Friday night! It's not far from the station, but this is great ‼️ and the part-timers are very conscious and attentive 👍I wish we could use it for prefectural meetings and such 🤔. I'm a Michelin guy ⁉️🤣. Next up was Kouji's Dai-harakuchi Hatsushibori-shibori-which had a nice bitterness and astringency on top of the umami, making it the driest of the bunch 😋Surrounded by all these great snacks, even though I knew I had to drink it slowly, it really made the sake go down the drain! The course ended with a bowl of rice topped with milt gohan (rice with milt)! It was delicious too! I'm at about 7 minutes sober and hungry. But I think I'll drink some more! to be continued

Tochigi Daytime - Nighttime Outside Drinking (2) After leaving Kanuma, we took a bus 🚌 to Utsunomiya and made a U-turn 🤗. In order to reduce the nira feeling 😅 in our mouths, we went into a coffee shop in front of the station and had a parfait 🍦 & coffee ☕️ while our cell phones and we took a short recharge 🔌 break. After that, we walked to Mekada Sake Brewery to fill our stomachs! We went through the sakes we've had before like HIRO-chan, Yukigumo, Yukidaruma ☃️, etc. 💃 and got the Tsuneyama and Iraka that we were interested in👍. But when I saw your post, I regretted a little 😓 that I should have bought HIRO-CHAN Nigori too. After dusk🌆, the next place I headed to was Oto, a restaurant I've been wanting to visit for a long time: ❗️ This popular restaurant is located in a residential area about a 15-minute walk from the east exit of the station. I had made a reservation the night before 🤗. We toasted with beer 🍻 and then switched to sake! First we started with Hidakami, which Ars-san also drank 🤗Kochira is a mouth opener! Lucky✌️ I had to wait until the sake arrived to eat some sashimi 🍶 and then I had a big gulp of hikakami 😌pya~‼️ yeahhhh 😚 it all goes well together! Even on a Tuesday night, the restaurant was packed with customers. And with the parade of tsuzumami, one sake bottle will be finished in no time 😋Now, on to the next....

Tochigi Lunch - Night Out Drinking ①. On Tuesday, I suddenly had a day off... I decided to go to Kanuma! and we started our activities in the morning.... Kanuma is a city of 90,000 people in Tochigi 😅I'm sorry it's not a major place name like Kyoto 🙄. Now, let's get back on track💦. We took a bus 🚌 to "Micchan Soba" near Shin-Kanuma Station, which I had been curious about after watching Ujikakuten on YouTube! We arrived at our destination after about an hour's bus ride including connections🤗. The restaurant opened at 11:30 and was packed right away. ‼️ We succeeded in getting a seat right after the opening! We ordered Chilli Soba, Chilli Kakiage, and Chilli Soba Yaki Sushi. And what was the fresh pickled vegetables served as a side dish? And what was the new pickled vegetables that came out as a side dish? Yes, you know what it is 🤣. If anything, this was the best chives I've ever had! I added some spicy konjak and ordered a bottle of sake to fight off this army of chives. It was a powerful opponent, but it had an earthy flavor that enveloped them all 😋. We were very satisfied with the taste of everything 😋 and left Kanuma after a quick sightseeing tour of Shin-Kanuma station with its fairy-like atmosphere 😅 with the smell of chives wafting around us. Yikes - the mornings and evenings are getting colder 🥶 and you want to warm up with a hot pot 🍲, which naturally brings out the sake 😙. This is why this Sunday, Mr. Loman, who is new to drinking at home, ‼️Noby got it because it was delicious when he drank outside 🤗. I'll make love to you The aroma is fruity 😌. In the meantime, Shinshin-san was heading to a class reunion in Moka by bus (🚌), and in the 40 minutes or so it took him to get there, he contributed 6 bottles he just drank 😳 He said he had to leave Tochigi because he couldn't register the restaurant 🥲, but that's the way it goes! You work fast👍 Meanwhile, our stomachs were growling 😐 We ordered a set of three different types of Tochigi sake 🍶 and a few snacks, and had a heated discussion about the venue for the upcoming Kenmin-kai and child-rearing 😌. Preparations for the women's meeting are steadily underway 🤗. I raised Fukushima sake but drinking out is Tochigi love 🥰.

I received a call from Shinshin SY in the middle of last month, and he said he would stop by Utsunomiya before the class meeting ‼️, so I asked him to join us and we actually met yesterday! First of all, Kotori-san took the role of an attendant for the lunchtime drinking course 🤗. First, we went to Kura, a buckwheat noodle restaurant that is often visited by residents of Utsunomiya! From there, they went to Utsunomiya Station, Light Line, Hitomi Sake Shop and so on! That's just like Kotori-san 👏! We arrived at Utsunomiya station around 2:00pm after running errands until mid-afternoon 🚌 and had a quick drink of Otokoyama at Sushikatei while we waited for them to arrive 😙 They appeared and joined us after about 30 minutes! The party was about to start 🤗. We had a bottle of Snowball ⛄️, which we haven't had this year, and they had a local sake set 🍶. Kotori-san told us that this year's Snowball was good, and it was indeed delicious without any roughness 😋. After that, while we were drinking shichimizu, Shinshin-san brought in a bottle of Toyo Bijin (a Japanese beauty). ‼️ It was a very enjoyable meeting and chatting with him. Afterwards, the three of us drank and talked, and I worried about what to do if there was too much left over. We were worried about what to do if we had too much to drink, but the bottle was empty before we knew it and we were on our way to the second 👋.

I've been working furiously this week 😵 and haven't been able to do any writing & rice activities 😩. So I'm late to the party, but I had a drink last weekend at the expensive 寫楽さん🤗. I'll make love to you! The aroma is sweet and fruity 😌. The first sip is both round and fresh 😚 It went well with the sashimi of the day 😋. By the way, let me tell you about last Wednesday, November 27. We took a day off and went out together. He had eaten a really delicious meat at a company dinner party 😋, and since he had never done anything for our birthdays or wedding gifts 😅, he suggested that we treat him to lunch for the past 5 years 🤗! It was our first time to eat at epicurean and the decor was gorgeous 🤩, different from other yakiniku restaurants we usually see 😳. We toasted with beer 🍻 and highballs 🍻 and enjoyed the food and conversation 🍻. After lunch time, there were no more customers around and we realized we had been there for about 3 hours 💦 how slow we were going 😅. I had mixed feelings about the pleasure of having my son buy me a drink ☺️ and feeling sorry for making him pay for it 🥲...and some heartburn from eating fatty food ☹️...but thank you 🥹.... It's been warm this week😙. On the other hand, here is a bottle I drank last Wednesday when it was getting cold 🙄 I raised the Sentori renewal, so it's the other way around 😅. Now let's enjoy this one while remembering last week when it got colder 🥶🤗. I wondered if winter would really come with such warm weather 🤔, but I guess it is coming 😑. It's usually a rest day Wednesday when the cold weather comes, but the star of the day is Nabe🍲, and if that's the case, we have to go for that 🍶 that has been waiting for us at room temperature: ‼️ So, it's been a while since our favorite sake, Toyobai's [heated], has been available in Nonbei Yokocho👍. We decided to drink it while enjoying the change of temperature by looking at the label that comes with the bottle. We started off with it at human body temperature, and yes, it had a nice aroma! The aroma was delicious and it tasted better warmed up 😋. Then we raised the temperature to lukewarm, and wow, it just keeps getting better and better! But I finish it before it gets to hot 😅It's a race between J&N's drinking speed and Yumbei Yokocho's temperature rise 😆. In the end, we waited a bit to drink it and enjoyed it until it was "atsukan" 😊. In hindsight 🤔I should have started with "tobikiri kan" and let it cool down while drinking 😓. My favorite was the "top warmed", it was so good I salute my superiors 😁.

It's the same with alcohol, sometimes Nobby will find something he wouldn't normally buy and it's like discovering a new area 😄. It's important to be willing to try new things 👍. So the star of the banquet was Sagata-san, which was brewed with 9 different types of sake rice 🤗. I'll make love to you! The aroma is gorgeous and sweet ☺️ The first sip is light and sweet 😋, but the crisp acidity makes it easy to drink 😙I said I'd drink it slowly because it's 17 degrees 😙 but before I knew it, it was gone 😅. By the way, talking about work About half a year ago, a department head suddenly retired and I had to watch him for a while while he was working with the department that Jay has 🤔After the busy days finally calmed down, his successor was finally decided!
