Ajisen Ramen used to have branches in Taiwan, but all of them are closed now! It's a shame 😢 because it was the first ever Japanese ramen chain in Taiwan! I was very young at the time 👶, maybe more than 30 years ago. I loved it so much! Delicious 😋. I hope they open another branch in Taiwan!

Delicious sake from Aizu Sakashita Akebono Brewery Tenmei Nakadori Ichi-go Ogirami 🤗. Citrusy aroma. Slightly gassy but almost imperceptible Clean and light mouthfeel typical of Gohyakumangoku It is fresh, sweet and tasty! The alcohol content is normal at 16 degrees, but it is very easy to drink. The sweet and sour taste is unique to classic sake. Sake while looking at the bottle This sourness tastes a bit like lemon 🍋‍🟩 🤔 Maybe it's the green label 😆 On the way to the supermarket by bike I found a cherry tree on the side of the road The early blooming scarlet cherry 🌸 was finally in full bloom It was the best time to see it! The rich umami and gentle acidity intertwine with each other gently like silk. There is a lingering aftertaste, but it is not harsh and crisp. Niigata sake is said to be light and dry, but this is different! Sake is fun 😚. The snack was a piece of nori seaweed that I bought in Saga on this trip, sandwiched between eel and camembert cheese 🤭. Kyushu Trip No. 11 I don't drink aged sake because I don't like the smell of aging. I ordered this ice-cold aged sake because of my poor eyesight 😆. The result was totally unexpected 😱. Slightly bubbly on the tongue even though it's ice-aged. I don't really feel the sense of aging. The aroma is also easy to drink without the characteristic old sake feeling. Fruity apple taste from sweetness and acidity Roundness and a little viscosity It has a freshness, but also has a nice umami flavor. I think you can enjoy this sake by itself without any other ingredients. Good with strong flavored food 👌 Teppanyaki horse hormone, horse sashimi, horse liver sashimi, and more! I have not seen the statue of Masanari Kusunoki in the outer gardens of the Imperial Palace since the old days, I have been fascinated by bronze statues of warriors, especially equestrian statues 🐎. The equestrian statue of Yoshimitsu in Kasumijo Park, Yamagata Prefecture, is a masterpiece in my opinion 😚. This time, since I came all the way to Kagoshima, I went to Ijuin station and saw the statue of Shimazu Yoshihiro in front of the station. This statue is also rare in Japan. Kyushu Trip No. 9 The second night of the New Year with new rice wine 😚. Freshly opened sake is hard. The bitterness in the back is also noticeable. Brought back from the liquor store across the street from the ruins of Saga Castle😄. Open a bottle of Koei Kiku Snow Crescent that I bought for New Year's Day! I didn't expect it to be so violent First the supernatant When poured into the cup, the bubbles are super energetic like a cola💦💦. Tastes like melon soda It's squishy and pops in the mouth like carbonation. The taste is dry and very refreshing with a bit of bitterness. When you mix it Not only the supernatant but also the muddy part is good! The sweetness and mellowness have increased and the bitterness has diminished. It has a grapefruit-like astringency, so you will never get tired of drinking it 😚😚. It's delicious with a little bit of sweetness after a little bit of time 😋. I finished it in no time! The bowl is Shiraishi ware from Saga Miyaki town, rustic and warm I bet it would taste even better with a glass of "Sunokure" from Koeikiku Sake Brewery in Ogi City, Saga Prefecture 😋. Kyushu Trip No. 8 Happy New Year everyone 🎍. We look forward to working with you in the New Year. 🙇‍♂️ When I went to Kumamoto, I took a wrong turn on the way to Minamiaso. I went into the parking lot of a store and decided to turn around. There was a sign that said "No passing through" 😆😆😆😆. I looked at the sign of the store and saw that this was the same liquor shop I visited last January 😱😱😱😱. It was fate that brought me here 😆😆 I decided to pull over and take a look. The result was I walked out of the store with this nigori, 4 bottles of sake and a bag of dried firefly squid 😆😆😆. Winter somehow makes me want to drink nigori. I can't help it 🫠. There was a warning about opening the bottle, but I opened it quietly without blowing! The amount of nigori is unbelievable! It's creamy and super thick ‼️, like a soft, smooth, doburoku! The gasiness is just right. The taste is dry and refreshing with a hint of sourness. The snack was "Tonsoku no Tororo ni Nimin" (Slowly simmered pork feet) by Marukyoshokusan, a food company in Sasebo, Japan. Pork feet simmered in a light broth and pulled together. Warmed up, it was delicious! I love it and want to eat it regularly 🥺🥺🥺🥺.

Refreshing apple-like aroma! The freshness of the new sake. The sweetness and umami spread in the mouth. It is quite fruity and easy to drink. ☺️ Light sake, but very drinkable. The balance between sweetness and umami is exquisite. I like the slight bitterness that comes afterwards 🤤🤤🤤🤤. This is too delicious 😋😋. Just drinking it makes me want to travel to Nagano 🤭🤭🤭🤭. This time you won't just feel the schwash🫧🫧 in your mouth You'll crackle and pop all over your body in the bubbly carbonated spring ♨️ Taste Mitsuya cider all over your body and feel the best 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 after the hot water! I soaked in the hot spring and tucked into some Sekisaba mackerel 😚. Onsen prefecture is awesome! Oita is the best!

Jay & Nobby. Happy New Year 🎍. If you're in Oita, I recommend Taketa City in the southwestern part of the country. Especially Nagayu Onsen, Akagawa Onsen, and Shichirida Onsen. ♨️ I don't recommend Beppu or Yufuin 😆😆. Too many people, all Chinese and Koreans.

Kyushu Trip No. 6 It is a standard of Tasake (rice wine) Mellow and full-bodied Fruity and delicious 😋. Sweetness, acidity, spiciness, and umami are all well balanced. Better than on its own It is great with a meal because it extends the umami when drunk with a meal. While drinking sake, a question came to mind 🌟. I was surprised that sake from far away Tohoku can be drunk in Kagoshima, located in the southern part of Japan Is the production of Tasake quite large? 🤔 I happened to see it in many liquor stores and izakaya on this trip to Kyushu. On the contrary, I did not see any Sentoku in the neighboring prefecture of Miyazaki 😞😞😞😞😞😞. While visiting Saiki in Oita Prefecture, I went to a restaurant I've always wanted to visit! The seafood here is amazing! The fish tank was full of lobsters 🦐🦐. Saiki is a major producer of lobsters! The sashimi was plump, sweet and delicious! Lastly, they made a rich lobster miso soup for us 😭😭😭 Kaisendon is made with a lot of local fish and is fresh, but the amount of fish is so large that it doesn't even reach the rice! The volume is perfect 🤩. And at an unbeatable price of 1300 yen!

Kyushu Trip No. 5 Dry Ginjyo Nigori (nigori) 18% Asoe Combination of "dry" and "nigori Interesting name🤔. Unusual for nigori I ordered a little cup: ☺️ Fresh ginjo aroma It's pretty cloudy 😆. It's very thick and rich! Oh, it's really not sweet! It's really not sweet! It's crisp and dry with a touch of umami. The aftertaste is short and dry "Broken-necked mackerel." Turtle hand. Leatherfish liver sashimi. Tempura of yellowtail. Satsuma-age. In short, with fish from Kinko Bay 😆. I might be a little drunk😱. Shochu is quite strong 😵‍💫 They serve Murao shochu here for cheap! Good evening everyone🤗 Tonight is Christmas, and I'm using this as an excuse to open a bottle of alcohol and celebrate! Ever since I drank the Central, I can't get over the taste of it! After a year I can finally drink it 😋. It's gassy and sizzling! The top part was stirred on its own when I poured it out 😱. I panicked a bit😅😅 The mellowness of the nigori and the fizziness coexist nicely Excellent sweetness and rich taste And the bitterness in the back that reminds me of grapefruit. I never get tired of drinking it! It smells like grapefruit juice and tastes like grapefruit juice too! It is the best 🥰. The side dish was fresh dried mullet I saw at the market this morning! Beautiful color and inexpensive! Cook both sides in butter, turn off the heat, cover with a lid, and let the residual heat cook the inside of the fish. Unfortunately, the heat was not quite right and the inside was a bit dry😅.

I checked out Takehara Butcher Shop. (I've never been there...) I used to eat horse sashimi set meal at Sakashita drive-in right next to Gonoi's. The stewed horse meat is also delicious. I recommend Kiichi for Kitakata ramen.

Kyushu Trip Part ➃ It's already December, but I found summer sake: ‼️ This year it is very soft and juicy! The aroma is a little lactic Moderate sweetness and refreshing citrus-like acidity. Delicious ☺️ It was easy to drink and delicious, but I don't have a glass that fits it 😞. It might taste 100 times better in a wine glass 🤭. Spent the night at the Rider's Cafe, which also has a guest house, in the mountainous Kokonoe town and watched the most beautiful starry sky 🌟 in my life and took pictures to capture the moment 📷. It was freezing at 5am but I couldn't stop standing there and staring at the sky 🥹.
