New Year's Day is a writing holiday😇But if you've been taking it easy, the year is completely over😅. What? It's been a week already ⁉️ Surprise😳 So here's a report on J&N's last drink of the year 2025🤗. We've been spending New Year's 🎍 separately at Jay and Nobby's respective parents' homes for a few years now 🥲 and it's become a tradition to bring two bottles of Tochigi Sake Sandesi to make a remote toast on New Year's Eve 😊. The past two years it was Kirifuri, but this year we decided to try something different 😋, and the chosen one was definitely Nanamizu: ‼️ Although we are in the same Chiba prefecture, we made a remote toast at each of our parents' homes 🥂 Nanamizu had a mild acidity that was perfect for the New Year's Eve festive meal 😚. Looking back, at the end of last year, my daughter went to England 🇬🇧 for a solo trip and I spent New Year's Eve abroad with him 😌 This year, on the contrary, is the first New Year's Eve in Japan for him 🇺🇸 🤗. The next day, New Year's Day, Nobby brought his mother and brother to visit his father's place by car🚙‼️Jay's sister and daughter with him, so there were 8 of us and we had a lively time 🥳It was not a party because of the car 😅Cheers with sweets ☕and everyone snapped this picture📸. My son was too busy to join the party, so we didn't have a full group 😢It was nice to take good photos from the new year 🥹. Tochigi love 🥰 for the last time in 2025!

Sorry, I'm talking about two weeks ago already😅. Finally, the last day of Obon vacation 😢The holiday will be downgraded to less than a normal vacation when it takes place on the last Saturday and Sunday of the holiday 😑. I decided to buy some side dishes to make my life easier! So we went to Yaoko in front of Utsunomiya station. I looked in the sake section first and found Mita's local distributor sake, Mita Tsuru and got it ‼️ I've had a lot of Senkori's Kirifuri, but I've never had Mita's until now 🙄. So this is my first time drinking it 🤗. It's "Mitatsuru" not "Bidentsuru" 😄. I'll make love to you! The aroma is mildly fruity 😌. The first sip is a calm taste and you can feel the sweetness of the rice first 😌☺️ then comes a wave of thick acidity with umami 🏄. This is an excellent food sake😇 This is finally the end of my post on the sakes I drank during the Bon vacation☑️ but of course I'm still drinking after that 😆 I'll keep winding it up 😅. I enjoyed drinking with my ancestors during this Obon vacation without going far except for Omiya on the first day of the holiday! Come to think of it 🤔 we haven't been away overnight since last year 😓I hope we can go somewhere together again 😌. Dear Mr. Mitazuru! I'm sorry I've been drinking only mistazuru🥹. I love Tochigi 🥰.

Kirifuri-san was chosen as the J&N New Year's Eve Sake❗️ end of the year we were drinking apart from each other 🥲 so we decided to drink together once more this time 🤗. We have already had the gold letter one, the blue letter one, the gold letter one more time at the end of the year, and now the red letter special junmai one. This special junmai has the most concentrated rice flavor of all the Kirifuri series 😊. I'll make love to you I'll make love to you! I knew it would be consistently delicious 😌! The usual combination of acidity and sweetness! Maybe it's because I saw that it concentrates the flavor of the rice, or maybe it's a little sweet, but it's definitely delicious 😋. And the snack of the day was leftovers from the fridge and a recording of the WBC⚾️ special broadcast at the end of last year😄. The video recordings of the Samurai's sufferings, exploits, and the joy 🙌 that lies ahead make a good snack 😚. As Ace-san said, it's always moving no matter how many times you watch it 🥹. I thought the 6 hours long broadcast would be too long to watch the whole thing 😅 but what the heck, I watched it all the way through and shared the excitement 🥹. Naturally, I had a bottle of alcohol on the way, so I watched the second half of the show while drinking tea🍵. ☺️ Tochigi love 🥰 with all three colors of foggy rain

Still posting about the drinks I had last weekend😅. After a series of sweet sake from Kinkame to Haneya, let's have a refreshing sake! So, I chose this one, which is a strong friend of us Tochigi people: ‼️ It is very popular among Tochigi residents and guests 🎵So ❗️ Kirifuri Sake🤗. Last month's first drink was a Daiginjo, and this time it was a Ginjo👍. Well, here we go🤗! Yes, I did! It's a great answer 👍It's still delicious with a refreshing sweet and sour taste 😄☺️Senkou is the best 😄! By the way, Friday morning was Jay's regular checkup, which is every 3 months, but every 6 months he has to have a blood test 😨. This time, I skipped drinking for 4 days from Monday to Thursday 😤. Cholesterol and triglycerides are the main points of the blood test results, but Jay is only concerned about the gamma GTP: ‼️ While pretending to listen to the doctor, I followed the test results with my eyes................................nervous! 😰😨😳🙂☺️🤩 Hi ‼️ results okay🤗 Last night I enjoyed the rest of the Haneya and Foggy Fountain and one more bottle 😙. I'm so relieved 🥰 love Tochigi!

We had a great time talking about how you should buy this ‼️ at the last prefectures meeting 🤗. KazKaz and Sashu bought it right away and brought it back to Tohoku 😁. As for us locals, we can't just say that it's always available 😤 We went shopping at Super Yaoko! As you can see in the third picture, there were many bottles lined up, but this time we decided to go for Daiginjo Nama-zake 🤗. Let's have it 😋! The aroma is mild? Not very distinctive, I guess. And when I took a sip... nn⁉️ it's SENKOUSHI 😳. No, it's SENKYO 😅The acidity that stands out may be stronger than SENKYO 🤔After all, we both agreed that it's delicious 🤗. This is far beyond the level of sake you can buy at the supermarket👍. Jay went to his parents' house in Chiba for the weekend and Nobby stayed at his father's house 😊Noby seems to have been a noobie 🤣. On Sake Day, J&N dared to dopple the local Kirifuri ‼️ Love Tochigi 🥰 even on Sake Day!
