First "Tanaka Rokugo" 🍶 Strictly ordered my daughter who was in Fukuoka to get it!　I remember telling her to leave it at our house in Nara😅. The aroma is elegant and fruity, reminiscent of green apples, with a hint of rice flavor. In the mouth, a full umami spreads softly, and the nourishing flavor that reminds one of the core of rice flows slowly over the tongue. However, the umami soon blends with the crisp acidity and changes to a light dry taste. While it has the solid rice flavor typical of junmai sake, it has an excellent sharpness that quickly recedes in the aftertaste, leaving a light lingering aftertaste.

Drunken weather lured me to Samhara Shrine ⛩️ 　After visiting a liquor store we found on the way 🍶, we went in for a tasting in a room in the basement for 222 yen per cup 😍. 　Compared to the sake we tasted here, it made me realize once again that I usually drink only fruity sake😅. 　I tasted while licking miso, but classical sake is also good 🍶.

Last of the day🍶. 　Transparent color. Elegant fruity aroma reminiscent of white peaches and pears. In the mouth, the fullness and luster characteristic of Aizan spreads out, and the clean, uncluttered flavor characteristic of Nakadori envelops the tongue comfortably 😋. 　The sweetness is less pronounced than I had expected.

Continuing on the high road, "Jikin" 🍶 but it's getting expensive 😳 If it's getting so expensive, I should have applied for the lottery notice I got from the liquor store😅. 　It's Junmai with 50% polished rice. But there is no indication of specific name. Why? 　It has a soft umami taste on the palate, then the acidity cuts through the umami and it finishes with a wonderful sharpness. 　I wonder if the sweetness could be a little stronger.

There was a bottle of Aki-Agarai that I hadn't had yet, so I ordered it. It is a royal Yamagata Masamune🍶. 　The aroma is gorgeous and full, reminiscent of melon and ripe pears. It has a mellow and thick mouthfeel. The flavor and richness of the rice wraps around your tongue 😋. 　You can drink it with peace of mind.

The fourth bottle is a collaboration project between Aihara Shuzo, which brews "Amego no Tsuki" and Mochizuki Shoten in Chiba Prefecture🍶 I heard that yellow and green were newly added from this 2025, so this white label is the basic one? 　Pale and clear color with a fruity aroma reminiscent of green apples and white peaches. Mmmm, it is sweet. The first sip is just as sweet as it should be. After that, moderate acidity and a fresh, lively sensation unique to nama-shu envelopes the tongue, and the taste is light, clear, and calm. 　It was a delicious sake, but the sweetness was bothersome. I would like to try a green sake that is more classic.

The third bottle of the day was the autumn limited edition "Ota-no-Tani" (🍶). 　The balance between the rich sweetness derived from the raw material rice "Watanobune" and the acidity that supports it. Fuji Taikan, a locally distributed brand that was a favorite of Yokoyama Taikan. It is a new sake. It is the first new sake of R07BY, and it is reminiscent of green apple and young melon. 　Fruity aroma reminiscent of green apple and young melon. The rich umami from the Yamada-Nishiki sake is spread out while the fresh acidity of the unpasteurized sake keeps the whole thing tight and light. The lingering finish is short but refreshing, with a hint of sweetness and a pleasant sharpness. 　I was reminded once again that dry sake is best with sashimi.

When I informed him that I would be in Nara from 10/26, an old colleague of mine set it up for me. 　I chose "Matsuo Jiman -Re:make-" by Kangiku Meikozo, which brews Sono Kangiku from a variety of local limited edition sake. The fruity aroma and smooth mouthfeel was followed by a floral spread of concentrated rice flavor and a gentle sweetness. 　I think it has been a while since I had a sake with such a soft taste in my mouth. I drank a variety of sake, but this was today's number one. ☝️

It's getting colder 😨. Yesterday, we took out the hot carpet in our house. Of course, we had hot sake 🍶. Today, I brought a souvenir from my daughter who went back home the other day. It is an early autumn deer. It was served cold because it was warm on the hot carpet 😋. It has a light color with a hint of bright golden yellow. The aroma is a rich "rice aroma" reminiscent of freshly cooked grains, with a hint of nuttiness. In the mouth, the soft acidity supports the backbone, and the umami of rice spreads gradually and calmly. The finish is crisp and sharp, with a long, gentle aftertaste that lingers from the back of the mouth. Enjoy it while watching Simon & Garfunkel's Central Park concert and making love. Tomorrow I will drink it hot 🍶.

Souvenirs from my usual drinking buddies😍. A bottle of clear and beautifully crafted with limpid water from the Northern Alps and Yamae-Nishiki from Shinshu 🍶. When poured into a glass, it has a clear, colorless sparkle like melted snow, and a fresh, citrus-like ginjo aroma quietly rises to the surface. In the mouth, soft umami and a hint of sweetness spreads, and soon the sharp acidity tightens the whole. While retaining its umami flavor, the aftertaste quickly runs down the throat and disappears, leaving a refreshing short aftertaste 😋. Sake day has passed before I knew it😅 Well, every day is sake day 🤭.

Fukuoka souvenir from my daughter (2) Haruyoshi Haruyoshi 05" 🍶 The specifications are completely undisclosed, so all I know is that it's junmai (pure rice). I don't know😅. HARUYOSHI x KITAYA" has a pale, clear color that gives a clean impression from the moment it is poured into a cup. The elegant aroma is reminiscent of white peaches and pears, with a hint of sweetness from the rice. In the mouth, the supple umami spreads, and the sweetness and acidity harmonize to create a soft, round flavor. The sweetness and umami disappear as if washed away, leaving only a refreshing aftertaste 😋. I will drink it while thinking of the town of Haruyoshi, which I have yet to see, while regretting that my refrigerator is getting lonely.
