Today from noon, I attended the Fushimi brewery opening event for the first time and was happy to visit a sake brewery I wanted to try ☺️ (the picture is of Jyuseki's event limited edition sake). As the evening settled down a bit, we opened this bottle 🍶. Pale peach-colored sake brewed with "peach yeast" that I bought at an event in early summer. From the aroma of grapes like red wine to the mouthfeel, from the fruity sweetness to the refreshing aftertaste, it goes down your throat nicely. Since it is 9%, it is light and easy to drink. It is so nuanced that if you serve it to someone without telling them, they may not even realize it is sake, so it is good for beginners.

I tasted it at a department store and it was delicious, but I didn't buy it because I had a lot of stock at home, so I bought a small bottle at a supermarket wagon. The aroma was subdued, and after a light umami taste, the spiciness rushed in and left a sharp taste and a lingering aftertaste. It has a traditional sake feel to it, but it is completely different from the sake I was allowed to taste, so I wonder if the quality has gone down a bit ❓. Next time I will buy a proper one and post again.

Today is the Mid-Autumn Moon, so the wife was very excited to have a tsukimi-sake (moon-viewing sake) and opened the bottle because she bought this sake for that purpose. (I ran out to buy it here 😆). The aroma is fresh and pear-like, with a fruity sweetness and umami that spreads well in the mouth. The aftertaste is crisp with a sharp acidity that makes you want to drink the next cup and the next and the next. We had a couple of drinks in the evening in a nearby park to accompany the cheese 🌕.

Today is Sake Day🍶, so I opened a bottle of this Junmai Daiginjo that I bought at the event to drink a little better sake. Takeoka" is my personal hit of the year. The aroma is fresh, youthful and melon-like 🍈. The palate has a very pleasant flow from a slight gasiness to a gentle sweetness to a pleasant acidity: ☺️ The smooth finish with a nice lingering aftertaste makes me happy 😊. I've only been immersed in the sake swamp for about a year, but it was one of those days when I wanted to spend time without forgetting to thank the people who work hard to make sake. ⭕️

The mornings and evenings are getting cooler, so I decided I had to try a summer sake. The aroma is like fresh pears, the mouthfeel is very gentle and smooth, the sweetness and umami spread out with a pleasant acidity, and it goes down the throat gently, but it also has the sharpness of Yamadanishiki. You can feel the high level of Hiroshima's sake. ⭕️ It is 12%, so overall it is gentle, so it may not suit those who like strong sake, but I would recommend it to those who are not used to drinking sake 🍶. We tasted two kinds and bought this one, but we regret that we should have bought both 😅.

I had always wanted to try Oumine. When I found a cup of sake that is only served twice a year at a restaurant, I bought it without hesitation. The aroma was mild and fruity. The palate has a fruity sweetness and moderate acidity, with a nice bitter accent and a refreshing aftertaste. It made me want to try the other wines as well, and I ran out of them very quickly.

今日は奥様は実家でお泊まりと言う事で1人で晩酌🍶 家の掃除等を済ませて、奥様に頼まれていたお酒を買いに酒屋さんへ🚗 ミッションを済ませて、自分の物を店員さんと相談してこちらを購入⭕️ 香りは甘いかつ柑橘系のような酸味のある香り。 口当たりはほのかなガス感からグッと旨味を感じさせてくれて程よい酸味が口の中を引き締めてくれてスッキリとした後口。 飲みやすいので、どんどん注いでしまうのは上品な酸味のおかげなんでしょうね😋 何となく田んぼに沈んでいく夕焼けをトンボが飛んでいるような、どこか物寂しげだけど懐かしい晩夏を思い起こさせる味わいとでもいいましょうか🌇 裏のラベルの身内トークも遊び心があって良いですね😄 ちなみに酒屋さんいわく、「サンセットオレンジ」の方が酸味が出てるとの事です。 「サンセットオレンジ」の情景みたいな感想書いてしまったけど、飲んだのは「ターコイズブルー」です😆 1人でしっぽり晩酌もたまには良いですね⭕️

Since we prepared yakitori for dinner, we thought Omachi would be the perfect sake to go with it. This is a sake brewery that the Omachiste's wife was interested in at the event. We tasted several and finally opened the bottle after purchasing it in early summer. The aroma is very sake-like with a slight fresh fruitiness. The mouthfeel has a fruity flavor, but it also has the umami and sweetness of Omachi-like rice, while it leaves the throat with a good sharpness, giving a great sense of satisfaction. ☺️ As expected, it goes well with yakitori (grilled chicken). It's 17 degrees so you have to drink it with care 🍶. I'd like to try the autumn hiyaoroshi as well. ⭕️

Another hot week, made more difficult by the typhoon 🌀 Before summer ends, we opened a bottle of summer sake with a summery label🍶. This is a sake from Aichi prefecture that I tasted and purchased at an event. The aroma is gorgeous, maybe because it is also alsobeared? The taste is pleasant with a strong umami flavor and a refreshing acidity, and it has a nice sharpness, so it tastes just right with sashimi 🐟. I was told that it is recommended to drink it on the rocks, so I tried it on the rocks as well, and it tastes like it could be drunk endlessly 😅. When I told the brewer that the sake from Aichi Prefecture is delicious, he seemed happy and said that the fermented foods in Aichi Prefecture are actually very good 😌 (soy sauce, miso, sake).

With the heat remaining the same, hiya-otoshi (cold sake) is starting to appear on the market, so we decided to open a bottle of this one 🍶. The aroma is fruity, but when you put it in your mouth, it has a good amount of gas and a moderate umami, followed by a firm acidity, and the crispness that is typical of Yamadanishiki is perfect for summer 🌻. The wife says it tastes just like the label says. Personally, I like the taste, but she is not so sure. This Hiyayogoshi is also a case for consideration lol

We finally opened a bottle of the spring release of the "Nine Tails" series by Amataka, which we had been curious about for some time. The "Kuo" series seems to be a challenge series, with a different theme each time, and this one was brewed with Gohyakumangoku rice grown in-house with a rice polishing ratio of 80%. The aroma has a graininess to it, which heightens the sense of anticipation. The mouthfeel has a gentle gasiness and a gentle umami spreading through the mouth, and the moderate bitterness tightens up the whole taste. Sake with spreading umami makes you happy from the moment you drink it. ☺️ I would like to try "Tenryaka" as well 😊.

After a busy first half of Obon vacation, I finally returned home and took it easy 😌. I opened a bottle of this sake I bought during GW. The aroma is unobtrusive, as is typical of Japanese sake, but it has a cemedine-like aroma. The mouthfeel is clean and gentle rather than the complex flavor typical of Omachi. It has a sourness and a dry taste on the throat. It is the perfect sake to drink in a relaxed and leisurely manner.

Yesterday was our wedding anniversary and today is my birthday, so we are celebrating here 🎂. A toast to the couple's favorite Hakurakusei from Date Seven, a month late 🥂. Don't tell anyone that I combined it with my birthday so I wouldn't forget our wedding anniversary 😆. The aroma is mild and sake-like, with a hint of sweetness and firm acidity in the mouth. It always makes me think that Hakurakusei is brilliant when paired with a meal 😌. I am happy to have had a good time yesterday and today ☺️

Today, we were able to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary without incident, so as a celebration, I hurriedly purchased and opened a bottle of this sake with a label that I knew my wife would like. The sake is a collaboration of a sake shop "Zero", a photographer "Sora ni Ao", and Kankoume. The 10th anniversary is a tin wedding, so we bought a pair of tin cups to commemorate the occasion 🥂. The aroma is reminiscent of strawberries, with a firm sweetness and umami, and a very good balance between a good amount of gas, acidity and sharpness. ☺️ I had heard that drinking it with a tin cup makes it mellower, and it certainly makes the cup more rounded and stimulating compared to drinking it with a boar's mouth, which makes the cup go further: ⭕️ We are happy to celebrate our 10th anniversary with a nice sake label and a pair of sake cups 😌. I hope to meet more delicious sakes with my wife in the future 😊.

It's been a while since I've opened a bottle, as I've been a little busy and drinking some of the sake I had opened. Polar bear captured at the event 🐻‍❄️ No matter how many of these bears we catch, we don't get any complaints, so don't worry 😄. The supernatant is refreshing with sweetness and firm acidity coming through. When stirred, a slight gassy feeling and firm rice flavor spread out, and the acidity and moderate bitterness are nice accents that flow cleanly through the mouth. The polar bear peeking at the surface of the sea is cute when seen from the opposite side, and the wife is also pleased 🥰. We both liked the flavor as well, and for the first time in a long time, we were able to have a leisurely dinner 🍶.

I bought this sake because it was tasted at a department store and was delicious. I was happy to be able to buy it this time because I had enjoyed it at an event before but it was sold out. The aroma was mild, but the sweetness and umami spread through the palate, and the finish was dry and crisp. As the brewer said, it tastes great warmed up. It's a good choice for a regular sake, and it can be enjoyed at different temperatures depending on one's mood. Personally, I will be a repeat customer.

The second bottle was my first Shiga Prefecture sake. Sake from Shiga Prefecture has an image of having a flavor that divides tastes, but this one has an aroma of rice. The taste is easy to drink with a clean aftertaste and the taste of rice spreading through the taste buds. The taste is easy to drink, which is understandable if the theme is "elegant". It is good for those who like umami.

I tasted this summer sake at an event held by Hankyu and bought it because it was so delicious. It is a sake brewery that was completely destroyed in the earthquake and has since been restored. The aroma is sweet like pineapple. When you put it in your mouth, it has a good balance of fruity and sourness from the moderate gasiness, and a powerful alcohol feeling of 17 degrees Celsius. There is also a delicious umami aftertaste. I personally like all Miyagi sake. ☺️ According to his wife, all sake made from sake rice with "gin" attached to it are delicious lol

We opened a bottle of Banshu Ikkyo summer sake, a favorite of the wife, to thank her for another hot week. I breathed a sigh of relief when I didn't skip the cork the first time I was warned to open the bottle 😌. First, let's start with the supernatant. The top clearnace is delicious with a slight gasiness, followed by a refreshing sweetness and acidity 😋. Then, stirring. The aroma is fresh and pear-like, and the bitterness added to the umami and sourness makes the cup go down even further. I've had this sake in the fall, spring, and summer, but this one is delicious without question 😊. It will also blow away the fatigue of the weekend. ⭕️
