We went all out and had sashimi of medium fatty tuna, cheese and meat patties, and my wife's homemade fried chicken.
The woody flavor and the sharpness of the acidity make the fatty dishes intoxicating, but it also goes well with spicy dishes with herbs and spices.
The fourth one is the limited time offer "Stamina Motsu Shoyu Ramen" (🍜) from Yamaokaya.
I thought I wouldn't like Yamaokaya's soy sauce ramen, but this one is delicious 😋.
I can't help but take a salt supplement at the end of a field trip this time of year 🥰.

It was a humid night and we were sweating just by walking a little, but we managed to get there, only to be turned down by the owner for leaving early.
So instead, I went to Sou, a restaurant I had been curious about in front of the station.
The restaurant is a stylish dining bar with a bright wood-grain atmosphere, and I saw many groups of women only.
Well, I looked over the menu to see what I could order, and decided to order "Szechuan style Mabo-dofu rice" from the Chinese dishes they are putting a lot of effort into, because I thought I wanted something drunk to end the meal.
I looked at the sake list and found a comment that it goes well with rice, so I had to give it a try 🤣.
As the name "Szechuan style mapo" suggests, it is spicy, but the sweetness is balanced by the spiciness due to the sweet shiitake mushrooms in it.
This time, the dish is called "Bai Gak Xinhong X Bean Curd Bean Curd Bean Curd Bean Paste" 🥰.

The fact that the taste has matured without losing its clean image despite the long maturity may be a result of the great nature of Okuaga in Niigata Prefecture where the brewery is located 🤔.

This is a limited edition of "Haruhi" which is only available at limited stores among "Sono Kangiku", and this one is a special order product for Koyama Shoten, one of the sacred places for sake lovers.
We received the last of the sake!
The sweet aroma wafting through the air even at a short distance from the bottle, the gaseous sensation felt at the bottom of the mouth, the slightly refreshing sweetness typical of Kangiku, and the clean lingering taste and bitterness that remains at the end.
I think it had been a while since the bottle was opened, but I was surprised at the gaseous sensation I felt.

It may have just arrived at the store or it wasn't chilled, but the taste was very satisfying.

Hana-yoso Junmai Ginjo Unfiltered Nama-shu.
Sweet aroma like a tropical fruit, sweet umami like a fresh pineapple, and a slightly bitter taste on the nose with a sweet aftertaste.
We ordered the head of the oyakodon, which Oyabu recommends as much as the soba noodles!
The savory flavor of the brand-name chicken roasted over charcoal matches the salty taste of the Warishita (soy sauce), and the rice goes down a treat when ordered in a bowl.
Recently, they are planning to open a restaurant specializing in oyakodon (chicken and egg bowl). ✨️
I was surprised by the sudden tsunami warning last morning, but relieved that there was no major damage to Japan.

Kitaan Okuni Midsummer Midwinter Sake - Snow Storage Junmai Ginjo Unfiltered Nama Sake
Get it as an option in the July Shinshu Secret Sake Hanpukai (✨️). This one is completely new to me 💡.
This is a challenging bottle of freshly pressed, unfiltered, unpasteurized sake made in the winter and bottled and stored in the snow!
[Even in the heyday of "light and dry" sake, if you continue to make "mellow sweet" sake, someone will take a shine to it.
I can feel the confidence of the brewery that if they continue to make this sake, someone will be attracted to it, and that person will continue to buy "Kitaan Okuni".

The aroma of rice is slightly banana-like, the mouthfeel is mellow with a gentle umami and banana-like richness, and then it finishes with a pleasantly long aftertaste and a sour bitterness.

The Furuya Brewery, which brews the "Wawa Wawa" that Jay & Nobby and others were drinking before, suffered a fire at the end of last year that destroyed the brewery and their home.

The sake rice that survived the fire was used by the Osawa Brewery, which brews "Meikyojosui" in the same area, and the result is this "Osawa Wawa"!
