㊗️800 check-in😇 I just found out that I will be celebrating 800 check-ins 😇 Of course, I chose Shinshu Kamerei 🐢. The last time I checked in, the number was always this sake, so I chose 🐢 this time, too😇. This is a limited edition sake that I bought at the brewery during my trip to Ueda this spring 😀. It's a very well-balanced sake, not too sweet and not too sweet and yet not too cloying 😀. I think Shinshu Kamerei is the best sake for me right now. I feel happy just by drinking it 😇. By the way, the Dodgers had a great game today...I'm looking forward to seeing Ohtani in action in the final game tomorrow 😇.

The second bottle we opened at the same time today is also from Takachiyo's Orikarami 😀. We compared the three sakes: Sakazukin-chan at room temperature, Takachiyo-san's supernatant and the orizumi mixed with the orizumi but returned to room temperature😇. The Sakazukin-chan and Kochira's supernatant were very similar in taste 😇. However, the one mixed with Ori immediately transformed the taste, adding a more Japanese sweetness to the umami...it was like a fresh, fresh, hydrated pear😇. In my opinion, Kachiyo-san with Ori mixed in was the most delicious 😇.

Takachiyo-san is said to be made with the image of a fruit flavor, and I felt a sweet and delicious taste of green melon from this Takachiyo-san 😀. Kaorin, perhaps attracted by the picture of yakiniku she saw on TV yesterday, unusually said she wanted to eat yakiniku today 🤣. Recently, our family has been cooking a lot of fish and chicken dishes with sake in mind, so we were a bit pondering which sake to pair with them today 😅. In the sake fridge, my eyes landed on Misuzu 😀. I don't know the specs of this sake at all, but the only hints I have are that it's a draft sake and that it's an assemblage of Miyamanishiki and Omachi 😅. But I've never heard of Miyamanishiki and Yumachi before and it would be interesting to try this unexpected combination with Yakiniku 😇. The overall flavor is firm, with a slight sweetness in the first half, followed by sourness and spiciness in the second half 😇. It wrapped the flavor of the meat more nicely than I expected and was delicious 😀.
Japanese>English
Nao888
Yasube, good morning 🌞I like the way Hiuchi's sashi is done 🤤I think Miyamanishiki and Omachi would make a great flavor combination, like yakiniku and a big bowl of rice 🤤I want to eat meat now 🤤.

Hi Nao888 😀 Yakiniku tastes better when you eat it outside, but I haven't eaten yakiniku much lately because there are no yakiniku restaurants that are particular about their sake 🤣. I think a sake with a strong flavor will not lose to the meat😇

I have recently become quite addicted to Mikotsuru-san from Suwa 😀. I've been drinking Gokotsuru until now. I've been drinking Mikotsuru's sake rice from Nagano prefecture, and all of them are raw sake 😀 I missed the first shipment at my usual shop. I missed it the first time it came in at my usual store, but I got it safely the second time it came in 😀. It had the usual Miko-chan taste as a base, but with a firm Yamadanishiki-like umami and a roundness that is typical of the autumn season, making it a delicious sake 😀. However, my preference for the taste of Goko-chan is more towards the usual raw sake made with Nagano sake rice 🤣.

First time drinking at Japanese Sake Festival Osaka ③. This is Okuhida-san, which I really got for the first time 😀. The first green sparkling sake was quite tasty, but the one that surprised me the most was this Tokujun Hi-ire 😇. The nuance of the flavor was more like Jungin than Tokujun 😀 It had the flavor of rice, but also had the taste of rice. The overall flavor was cohesive while still having the deliciousness of rice 😀. I heard that this sake is also available in a raw type, but unfortunately it was not exhibited this time 🤣. But I would like to taste the raw version again 😀.

First time drinking at the Japanese Sake Festival Osaka Series (1) Last Saturday and Sunday, I participated in our family's annual Japanese Sake Festival 😀. In the summer, I participated as a volunteer staff for both days, but Kaorin, who participated as a guest on Sunday, complained that it was no fun unless we drank together, so this time I participated as a volunteer staff only on Saturday and as a guest with Kaorin on Sunday 🤣. I took Kaorin to greet the brewers at the booths of Gobashi, Taido, Akita Meizou, Mie-no-Kanmei, and others that I have known for a long time, and then we started tasting 😇. Even the volunteer staff could do a few tastings, but on Saturday I was in charge of following up with volunteers who were helping multiple breweries, so I could only taste and sample the sake from my brewery so that I could explain the flavors 🤣. Since there were no restrictions on this day, I mainly picked up sake that I hadn't tasted yet🤣. First of all, Adachi Nozou brewery who has been making craft sake in Takatsuki city complex for a while now 😀. This is their first time participating in the Japanese Sake Festival 😀. All the sakes were interesting and full of ideas that are typical of craft sake 😀. I found this lychee especially good at reproducing the taste of lychee😇. I decided to buy a coke to create a buzz... small bottle 😅.

For my second bottle for my birthday, I decided to go with Date Seven with a 7 of 67😇. This is also the sake recommended by everyone last year 😀. This year, Hakurakusei and Urakasumi were responsible for brewing this year, but I had not had Urakasumi yet, so I chose this Urakasumi Style Traditional Sea 😀. Kaorin took a half day off to prepare a cake and decorations for us today 😀. The best match for the fruit-filled cake was Urakasumi with its robust flavor 😇. Today is my 67th birthday 😀. At my age, it's not a very happy occasion, but since it's my anniversary, I'm celebrating with Sake 😇. I'm 67 years old and I'm celebrating with Shinmasa's No.6 and Date 7 which everyone told me I should try next year 🤣. This is the first time to drink No.6 at home 😇. I tried for the past year to bring No.6 home, but I couldn't get it until October and was about to give up 🤣. Then, I got a call from Ao-chan, a friend of Sake-no-wa, asking me if I had found the No.6 I was looking for ❓ and to my surprise, she agreed to give it to me 😀. I really appreciate a good friend in times of need 🙏. I've had No.6 a few times when drinking out, but having it at home is exceptionally delicious 😀. It was a pleasure to celebrate my birthday with the most delicious drink 😇. In case you were wondering, Kaorin changed the balloon number in the back of the photo from 66 to 67 🤣.

Tomorrow is my birthday! So today, on the eve of my birthday, we're having a toast to my family's standard drink, Sansho-san 🥂. I know I say it's a classic, but this is actually the first time I've had Kako-san 😇. The aroma is sweeter than the Yamadanishiki and Masuho that we usually drink 😀. The moment you drink it, it's full of the same stable shuwashu sensation as usual😇. However, what spreads from there on the palate is a sweet flavor reminiscent of white peaches 😀. But from there, it's a delicious taste that is crisp and clean 😀. Umai‼️😇 Yamadanishiki and Masuho have the same fruit but with a little sourness from the carbonation... fruit that reminds me of green apples or something, but I think I like Kako's sweetness more, which spreads and finishes nicely 😀. Since we had a good eve party successfully, we will open the main two bottles at the birthday party tomorrow 😀. I will be opening a bottle of 6 and 7 that were recommended to me by everyone on my 66th birthday last year 😇.

Today, thinking about the sake brewery I visited the other day in Iwakuni, I had a bottle of Mr. Ganki's Junmai Ginjo Mizunowasan, which I received as part of my Iwakuni hometown tax payment 😀. In case you were wondering, the brewery didn't have a limited edition so I bought the Junmai Daiginjo 🤣. Mizunowa-san has a mild aroma, not too pronounced and tastes beautiful and easy to drink 😀. I liked the fact that the taste and aroma were both mild and not too prominent 😀 I haven't drank it yet, but I bought it from the brewery. Today I participated in the rice harvesting at Heiwa Sake Brewery, which brews Kido-san in Wakayama Prefecture. I was a little worried about yesterday's rain, but we managed to have a beautiful day 😀. After last year's rice planting and harvesting, this year we planted rice again and harvested today 😀. Now that I know how to do it, I can genuinely enjoy the whole day, and I am now taking the bus back to Shin-Osaka 😀. I was looking forward to drinking Agara Junmai-shu from last year's rice planting and harvesting, but it was only the last Agara, which was a bit disappointing 🤣. I was looking forward to drinking Agara junmai sake from last year's rice planting and harvesting, but I was a little disappointed that it was still a little too early 🤣 The harvesting is fun, but the all-you-can-drink barbecue in the evening is the best part of every event. I even got a commemorative photo with Mr. Shibata at the end of the event 😀.

This is the last bottle of sake sent by the brewery as a pure blue supporter of Tomihu Nishiki this year 😀. I thought it would be more ricey since it is a special pure sake made from the traditional sake yeast, but it was surprisingly beautiful 🤣. I wonder if it is really a special pure sake 🤣. By the way, how is everyone doing with their New Year's osechi dishes❓❓😀😀 In my family, we made a reservation today for Osechi dishes from Tomikunishiki, a Junsei sake brewery 😀. This is the 113th bottle of nigori sake this season😇 After all, nigori sake from Nagano is great 🐎. The supernatant is fruity, a little bit schwar, and a good sake for the palate 😀. When you mix it well, the fizziness increases and the taste becomes more complex... rice, umami and acidity... it's a great balance and delicious 😇. It is one of the best things about nigori sake that you can enjoy two different tastes in the same sake 😇.

I wanted to drink a nigori type sake for the first time in a while, so I opened a bottle of Yamazan's light nigori 😀. This Usu-Nigori is a really thin nigori😇 There was no automatic stirring and I was able to take the supernatant and the mixture properly, but it doesn't look much different 🤣. But the taste was quite different and surprising 🤣. The supernatant sake has a strong umami and fruity taste, but the mixed sake has a more complex umami taste and tastes even better 😀.
