Winter Nigorinpic 21 This is the first Tengu Mai I've ever had, and actually the first Tengu Mai I've ever had other than nigori 🤣. Just hearing the name Tengu Mai, I had a strong feeling that it was a great sake 😅. I thought I could handle nigori sake, so this is my first Tengu Mai 😇. You can't really tell from the picture, but about a third of the bottle is precipitated by the ori 🤣. It's almost like a dobrok 😅. Even with this much sedimentation, I was able to get the supernatant 😀. The supernatant was a solid sake with the atmosphere of Tengu Mai, which is a traditional sake made in the mountains 😀. As soon as it was mixed with the ori, it transformed into a completely different sake 🤣. I was really surprised to see such a change in sake for the first time 🤣‼️ It was a very smooth and not so sweet amazake with a strong alcohol content 🤣. I've never had a sake with such a different taste from the supernatant, and I've never had a sake with this flavor either, so I'm surprised 😀. I was surprised that I've never tasted such a different sake before 😀 But it was the famous Tengumai that you can't smell the aroma when pouring it with Junmai, but when you drink it, you can even taste the ginjo aroma in the robust flavor😇.

Winter Nigorinpic 20 Finally, the Nigorinpik has reached its 20th bottle 😇! Of course, this is the first time for me to drink Ozeyuki's light nigori 😀. It has a fruity aroma that is typical of junodai, but the taste is also fruity and melon-like 😀. The label of this Ozeyuki was a very beautiful green color, so the image of the label may have pulled me in 🤣.

Good evening, Yasube! I like the melon type 🩷I think the color of the bottle and the design of the label can have an effect on the sense of taste from the visual sense 😊, but if that's what the creators are aiming for, I can get in on it too 🍈 just reading ❣️ looks delicious🍈.

Winter Nigorinpik 19 This is a sake prepared for the hanpukai by my regular liquor store😇 I was a little disappointed because I thought I was covered since this one came in the hanpukai sake after I originally bought the Winter Session... but I was betrayed in a good way 🤣. The amount of cage sedimentation is almost the same visually, and the automatic stirring ollidance behaved the same after a few seconds of opening the bottle even though it was kept at freezing temperatures😅. The aroma was also almost identical 😀. The difference is the taste in your mouth 😀. As I mentioned before, Winter Session also tasted delicious, but the basic taste direction was the same but clearer and more transparent😇. The specs of this sake are totally secret, so all I know is that both have the same alcohol content of 14 😅. The Winter Session was written as 55% polished rice, so my guess is that this sake is more highly polished ❓😇😇

New Year Sake Walking 2️⃣ The second brewery we visited was Kyohime Sake Brewery😇. This brewery doesn't offer tasting, so we went to the nearby Aburinaga for a paid tasting 😀. Actually, Keihan and Kintetsu are currently running a joint event called "Sake Brewery Stamp Rally" where you can get a stamp and a label 😇. I was told that Kyohime Sake Brewery's stamps and labels are available at Aburinaga, so I went to this store to taste and purchase 😀. The only Kyo Hime sake they had open at this store was their Daiginjo, so we were able to compare it with a sake from the brewery they recommended 😀. Kyo Hime's Daiginjo was also delicious and refreshing, but unfortunately we decided to buy the Junmai Daiginjo, which was not open and could not be drunk 🤣. I'm looking forward to drinking it at home eventually😇 Today's walk was 12 km... just the right distance 🤣.

New Year Sake Activity Walking 1️⃣ The last of our New Year Sake Activity came to Fushimi, Kyoto 😀. First, we paid a visit to Fushimi Inari-san and then circled the top of Mt. From there, we visited Mikamiya Shrine, famous for its famous sake brewing water, Gokomizu, and then went on a tour of the sake breweries in Fushimi 😀 First, we visited Tomiou, a brewery that brews sake. First, we visited Kitagawa Honke, the brewer of Tomiou 😀. The tasting was Junmai Daiginjo, directly pumped from the bottle and its suzu nigori 😀. It was a delicious sake with a refreshing taste from start to finish🙆. The store's specialty was Junmai Daiginjo Naokumi, but what we bought to take home was also Usunigori🤣. But this Naokumi was certainly a delicious sake too 🙆.

Winter Nigorinpic 18 After a short break from the Shinshu Tsurukame drinking contest, I would like to return to the Nigorinpik again 😇. From today, we will start the comparison of Yamazan no Kotobuki 😀. After purchasing this Winter Session, a very similar sake from Yamanobusyu came in from the hanpukai 🤣. I was a bit shocked to see the same sake, but upon closer inspection it was a bit different 😅. This is where my interest grew 😇 Let's compare the difference between the two 🙆 First, I'll have this Winter Session that is available on the market😇. My impression after drinking it is a delicious adult Calpis soda 😀. The fizzy feeling of carbonation mixed with the sweetness of sourness that reminds us of lactic acidity, it was a very well made drink😇. Tomorrow I would like to enjoy a comparison with a similar looking sake called Himitsu 😀.

Shoreki-ji Bodai-Hashimoto Sake Festival 1️⃣ Today we participated in a festival where 7 breweries in Nara gathered at Shoreki-ji Temple, which is said to be the birthplace of sake in Japan, to make Bodhi Hashiro sake 😀. Following last year's event, it is a 6 km one-way hike up the mountain from the JR Obioki station at the foot of the temple 😀. Last year, I participated in the festival without knowing anything about it, and I was served this Bodai Sen, a sake brewed by restoring the old sake, and I think I have grown a little in the past year because I could understand the sake that I only felt the sourness of lactic acid bacteria 😇. New Year Shinshu Tsurukame drinking combination😇 Yesterday was Gokotsuru's Junmai, so today I decided on Junmai 🐢 😀. It's been a while, or actually the first clear sake of the year since we were currently in Nigorinpik 😇. First of all, I adopted Kaorin's opinion and warmed it up to lukewarm 😇. It's still dry, but the fruity part of the flavor is more pronounced and I could feel the depth of the flavor more 😀. Winter Nigorinpic 17 As in New Year's Day, today I would like to start drinking together with my favorite Tsurukame from Nagano, Shinshu 😇. The Tsuru is Mikotsuru's dry junmai ogara-mi and the Kame will be the first clear sake of the year 🐢. Today we opened a bottle of Gokotsuru's dry junmai orikagara, which has a strong spiciness as it claims to be dry 😅. Especially the top clear sake served at room temperature has a very strong taste 😅. This is a very hard taste for Kaorin 🤣. Kaorin was given the cooled version and the tightly mixed version, she made a face when she put it in her mouth, but the fruity finish at the end was nicely gone and she was satisfied with the taste 😇. It's such a robust taste, even for those who don't like dry wine. I'm impressed with Miko's ability to convince even those who don't like dry wine 😇.

Winter Nigorinpic 14 Yesterday, we had our first Hirotogawa nigori sake, so today we will compare them with Hanazumi sake which was recommended by Manachie😇! As you can see in the picture, we had Ona-san, Jikin-san, Hirotogawa-san, and Hanaizumi Nigori Sake 😇! This was the most fun drinking comparison 😀. Today I went to Umemiya-taisha Shrine and Matsuo-taisha Shrine in Kyoto, two of the three major sake shrines in Kyoto for Hatsumode (New Year's visit) 😀. First, Umemiya-taisha shrine: ⛩️ The sake served here was by Gekkeikan 😀. The sake we bought was from Sasaki Sake Brewery, which has re-labeled the label of their Jyugakudai sake exclusively for the shrine 😀. I was thrilled because I had just recently had a Shuwakimaseri featuring the main deity of the shrine, Shuwakimaseri 😇. Next, Matsuo-taisha shrine: ⛩️ It was bigger and had more worshippers than Umemiya-taisha, but still less crowded than other shrines in Kyoto 😇🙏. The sake is poured from a barrel for 200 yen when you buy a 1,000-yen barrel, and the barrels were owned by Kizakura and Kozutsumi 😇. The barrels were from Kizakura and Kozutsumi. We purchased two masu to commemorate the occasion and had both of them poured. The aroma of the wood was very fresh and the taste of the sake was more delicious than the sake we usually drink 😀. We experienced the New Year with sake: ㊗️

Happy New Year, Yasube-san! I see you came to Kyoto! Fushimi Inari, Heian Shrine, Kitano Tenmangu Shrine, etc. are famous for Hatsumode in Kyoto, but I'm a drunk 😰, Matsuo Taisha, and Umemiya Taisha 😊. I'm looking forward to seeing you again this year 🙇.

Good evening, ma-ki-chan 😀. After all, the New Year is the first visit to the God of Sake. ⛩️ Since I have already visited 2 shrines in Kyoto, I will go to Shoreki-ji Temple on the 11th for the Bodhi Hashimoto Sake Festival and then to Ogami-sha Shrine to complete my visit to the 3 major sake deities😇.

Hi, Pon 😀 It seems that there are quite a few worshippers in Kyoto, so I was able to enjoy a relaxing sake in the precincts of the temple, so it was a good Hatsumode 😇. On the 11th, we are planning to go from the Bodhi Hashimoto Sake Festival at Shoreki-ji Temple to visit the Ojinja Shrine 😀.

Winter Nigorinpic 12 I was wondering what to choose for the white representative against the red Chibijin 🤣. Since we are in the middle of Nigorinpic, of course I wanted to choose a nigori type for both red and white, but somehow I thought a white nigori would have a very different taste from beer 😅. I wanted a cloudy, low-alcoholic, refreshing sake that would also be suitable for beer lovers... 😅. So I chose this Masumi Sparkling Sake Orikarami. The ori is just a little bit of ori, so it looked slightly whitish 😀. The taste was just as refreshing as I imagined it would be, and even my dad, who is not used to sake, said it was delicious, so I'm glad he enjoyed it 😀.

Winter Nigorinpic 11 Annual tradition😇 On New Year's Day, we bring red and white sake to Kaorin's parents' house...although it is on the upper floor of the same apartment building😇 Kaorin's father usually only drinks beer, so we tried to choose a low-alcohol type sake that would be easy to drink😇. First of all, the red sake is LOVE PINK from Taiebijin, which was easy to drink and tasty last year😇. But ❓😅😅 It looks totally different from last year 🤣. Last year it was nigori sake and when mixed it was a beautiful cloudy pink, but this year it was an ogara-mi type and it was a clear pink 😀. The appearance was quite different but the taste was delicious 😇 I'm glad my dad was happy to drink it too😇.

Winter Nigorinpic 🔟. Yesterday Ona wrote 8️⃣, but actually I miscounted and it was 9️⃣, so today is the 🔟th sake selection in the Nigorinpik 😀. In celebration of the double-digit number and New Year's Eve, I'll be drinking Jikin's nigori today😇. I was at work until just a few minutes ago, so it doesn't really feel like New Year's Eve 🤣. The top clear liquid is... the taste of Jikin's usual sake😇. But it tastes even better when mixed 😀. Today's dinner was a kimchi nabe followed by New Year's Eve soba noodles, but today's lineup of Yukigumo, Ona Nigori, and Jikin Nigori were all delicious sake, so they didn't lose out to the kimchi nabe at all 😀. The one I liked the most was Jigokin, but I think that's just a matter of taste and it depends on each person😇. I'm writing this in the queue for Hatsumode, and the day has changed 😅. So, Happy New Year 🙏. I hope you have a great year 🙇.

Winter Nigorinpic 8️⃣ The end of the year is finally approaching 😀. I'm sure many of you are already on your holidays 😀. I'm working until tomorrow, the 31st, so I can't relax yet 🤣. I opened a bottle of Ona's nigori sake today for the last day of the year 😇 I opened the bottle with high expectations, but it was even better than I expected 😇. It had all the things I'm looking for in nigori sake: a sense of sizzle, sweetness and umami from the rice, a solid richness, and even a crisp finish 😀 The liquor stores I often buy from, such as Yukidharma and Jikin, are said to be the four heavenly kings of nigori, comparable to the three major nigoris. I can understand why they were said to be the "Four Heavenly Kings" 😇.
