Summer Nigorinpik 98 Today, we will open a bottle of Yamashiroya's WABI WABI 😀. All of the Shuwashuwa Nigori that I have been drinking recently were second fermentation in the bottle, but this one is made by adding carbon dioxide gas to the sake made from the original sake brewing process to make it shuwashuwa 🤣. The sourness from the solid carbonation is similar, but it's more like a dryer sizzling sensation, which was a fun encounter with a lot of variety 😀.

Hi Yasubeyesan 🐦 I was right about the Shinshu Kamerei. I was right about the Shinshu Kamerei 😊I thought the Takacho would be from Yasubeyesan or Rutemi, and the Shinsei would be from Maru 😳It is nothing short of amazing to be able to bring these 3 bottles with you 😻

Sake-no-wa Kansai Branch Sakai Bring Your Own Drinking Party (2) I was quite worried about what to buy the other bottle of sake, but I hiked up a mountain and bought a bottle of sake made by Aburacho Shuzo, the brewer of Kaze no Mori, which was shared with several breweries in Nara at the Bodai Hashimoto Festival held in January at the Shoreki-ji Temple. This is the second time I've been to the Shoreki-ji Bodaihashi Festival and the second year in a row I've bought this sake 😀. I was advised by a friend of mine that it tastes better if you let it sit for a while, so last year I let it sit for 3 months and it tasted pretty good 😇. This year, I brought the sake that I let it rest for half a year, and it was highly praised by everyone 😀. Next year, I will participate in the Shorakuji Bodhi Hashiro Festival again, and this time, I will try to let it rest for a year 😇.

Sake-no-wa Kansai Branch Sakai Bring Your Own Drinking Party ①. It's been a while since we had a drinking party with our seniors who are wonderful sake drinkers 😇. Each of us brought a bottle of sake to drink with everyone 😀. We were worried about which sake to bring so that we wouldn't get the same one as the others 🤣. Since Kaorin and I are participating in this party, we have to choose 2 bottles of sake...what is good and what should we bring so that we don't share the same sake with others😅. I decided to start with a bottle of sake that is typical of our family, a Ueda limited edition sake from Shinshu🐢 😀. I totally chose it based on my own taste 🤣.

Summer Nigorinpik 97 Today, we finally saw the 100th check-in for this season's nigori series, so we opened a bottle of Summer Doburokku, which many of our sake friends had been drinking😇. It took a long time to open the bottle even though it was chilled enough because it is an active nigori, and the top clear liquid was not caught by the time the bottle was opened due to automatic stirring 🤣. This Natsu Doprokku has a low alcohol content of 13 degrees, but you don't feel it at all, it is a delicious sake with a robust flavor and a good sweetness 😇. And thanks to the solid active nigori, you can also feel the shwashiness of the sake, making it a delicious nigori sake that is perfect for summer 😀.
Japanese>English

Good evening, Yasube-san 🌛Summer Doburokku is dry, shwashy, and perfect for summer 🍺I like active nigori sake because it's so much fun and it's a little tricky to open the bottle. ✨️

Hi Yasbay 🐦. I like it! I'm not a fan of active 🦍🦍❣️ fizzy stuff, but not this one 😆 I'm the only one who thinks it's tasty and good for tired summer bodies 🤣. And the sizzling 100 is coming up 👍.

Hi Nao888 😀 I think that summer sakes with active nigori taste even better in summer due to the synergy of the schwarziness and acidity 😀. I already have a couple of active nigori so I will continue the active nigori festival 🤣.

Summer Nigorinpic 96 A bit of clear sake has been added, but the Nigorinpic is still going on 😀. Hyogo sake from Banshu Issen 😀. We had a bottle of Senzuke's White Koji Activated Nigori 😇. First of all, the label didn't look much like Senzuke's, I thought it might be Ni-Utari...but the word Senzuke was hidden behind the rabbit 🤣. It was a low alcohol sake, but it had a lot of ori and a robust taste, full of flavor and delicious 😇. Banshu Issen was more fruity, but this Senzuke has a more robust flavor with more rice flavor 😇
Japanese>English
Nao888
Good morning, Yasube 🌞I haven't had Senzuke for a few years, but I remember being offered a dry, rice-like clear sake directly from the brewery 🍶I thought it was hot, but it was gone quickly, so it must have been delicious ✨.

Last Saturday, the Sakai drinking party of the Kansai chapter of the Sake-no-Wa was held in Sakai 😀 11 people attended. There were 11 of us in total and I will post the details later 🤣. At the end of the party, there were a few bottles left over and we were allowed to take home whatever we wanted, so we took this bottle of Wakanoi and went home 😇. Of course, this was my first time drinking Wakanoi 😀. I enjoyed it slowly when I got home, and while the aroma was subdued, the taste was clean and light, with a freshness typical of nama-shu, which was new to me, but I enjoyed it 😀 I did a little research and found out that it was pressed right away, so I was able to enjoy it. I just did some research and found out that the Haruho series is made as soon as it is pressed, aged at low temperature in a snow chamber until around March, and then shipped as a pure sake, followed by the Natsuhoho and Akihoho series, which are made by changing the heating method and shipping dates. If I can find the rest of the series, I'd like to drink it again 😇.

Summer Nigorinpic 95 Today I went walking again, bringing sake to the Expo Park in Suita 🚶‍♂️ I came here to enjoy the hydrangea, but I felt sorry for them because the rainy season had already ended 😅. Today I brought Nozomu-san's Splash Origami😇. I had already had Nozomu's Splash and knew it wasn't as fizzy as Splash, so I didn't expect fizziness from Orikagarami as well 😀. I was not expecting any fizziness from the ogara-mi because I know it is not as fizzy as the splash 😀 When I actually drank it, I found it to be a very calm, sweet and fruity sake with a delicious rice flavor, especially from the ogara-mi 😇. I think it would be better to stop using the word "splash" from next season if possible so that there will be less misunderstanding 🤣.

Summer Nigorinpic 94 Today we opened a bottle of Banshu Issen's Summer Nigori...Junmai Ginjo Summer Usunigori😇. The top aroma is not so strong, but it has a fluffy, pear-like fruity aroma 😀. The moment it entered the mouth, the impression of light and clean water was suddenly accompanied by a fruity flavor with a slight effervescence 😇. The taste finishes with a beautiful clean finish😇. The nuance is quite different from the usual Banshu Issen, but this was also an outstandingly delicious sake😇.

Summer Nigorinpik 93 We opened a bottle of 寫楽's Summer Gin Usu Nigori 😀. This sake was pressed for the summer, bottled after one heat treatment, and then stored before shipping 😇. The first aroma was melon, but the nuance was a bit quiet and subdued 😀. In the mouth, it has a refreshing acidity as if it was made with summer sake in mind, but it also has the delicious nigori taste of rice 😇. The aftertaste was also clean and crisp, making it a delicious sake that can easily be paired with any dish😇. We paired it with sashimi.

Summer Nigorinpic 92 I enjoyed it last year, but I didn't know where I had bought it. Summer Nigorinpic 90 After a long hiatus due to the National Sake Fair and other events, we are finally back for the Summer Nigorinpic 🤣! The resurrected sake is Jun Dai Usu Nigori by Yamazou 😀. I knew that there was finally a store in Osaka that carried Yamazan's sake since the beginning of this year, but as I always walk to buy sake, I was hesitant because of the inconvenient location, but my desire to drink it outweighed my need to buy it 🤣. Hi bouken 😀 I, on the contrary, had overlooked Kuhyo Masamune 😅. I went to the Kumamoto booth on Sunday before 11am, but at that time there wasn't so many crowds yet and there seemed to be enough flower incense 🤣.

Hi Pon-chan 😀 I was lucky because I don't see Kumamoto Prefecture's sake very often 😇. But Taido-san will be back in July for the Japanese Sake Festival, so please come to Osaka to visit us 😇.

I'm in the middle of a Kunisake Fair report... I completely forgot about the June 6 Shinmasa day and missed it, so I'm going to follow Pon-chan's example and open a bottle of Shinmasa at the 666 check-in😇. I had two left in the cellar, Ash and Ecru, so I was a little pondering which one to open 🤣. I heard that Ash-san tastes better when it's laid to rest, so I'm going to give Ash-san a rest for a bit longer 🤣. Compared to the Colors we've had so far, Ecru's unique acidity was impressive😇. Thankfully this time we were able to compare it with Jikin-san's Omachi draft, but when I asked Kaorin which she liked better, she pointed to her glass of Ecru 🤣. I am in awe of Jikin and Shinsei, I can't compare them, I like them both ❤️

Thank you, HinaHanaMama 🙏. I missed the June 6, but managed to get it here belatedly 🤣. The timing was just right, so it was nice to be able to compare drinks, something I normally can't do 😀.

Thank you Aladdin 🙏. They are growing slower as they get older, so I'll take them off beginner once they hit the 3 year mark 🔰🤣. I've managed to keep my inventory at no more than 60 😅.

Thank you very much, ma-ki-! I used to not be able to stock up on sake, but thanks to the purchase of a sake cellar, I can now take advantage of opportunities and collect more easily 😀. But I'm running out of space, so I'm not going to go through the sake I want these days 🥲.

Thank you Nao888 🙏. I was so worried that I bought a bottle of Jikin, so I even got to do a nice drinking comparison😇! I've had a lot of luck with Niimasa at a liquor store in Osaka-Sayama 😇.

Thank you, Ace 🙏. I don't have the courage to open a bottle of Niimasa even if it's there, so I open it for my own reasons 🤣. I can't say which one is better because both Niimasa and Jikin are delicious 🤣.

Thank you, Wakata 🙏. I just happened to have a nice lineup 🤣. I usually don't have the courage to open a bottle of the good stuff, so when I have a reason to open a bottle, I seem to end up with a lot of sake 😅.

Thank you, Pon-chan 🙏. I opened a bottle of Shinsei, copying Pon-chan 🤣. I didn't know that Pon-chan, who has such a connection with Shinsei-san, doesn't have Jikin-san for home drinking😅. I can still get Jikin-san more easily 🤣.

Kokuni-shu Fair 2025 Osaka (2) Since all prefectures except Kagoshima and Okinawa are exhibiting at the Kokusyu Sake Fair, our strategy beforehand was to try to get sakes from prefectures we would not normally be able to drink 😀. However, the first booth we visited was in Yamaguchi Prefecture, and the one facing us was in Nagano Prefecture 🤣. When I saw Nagano sake, which I love, there was no way I could not visit 🤣. However, since I was there, I decided to stop drinking the sake that I usually get, and went for a sake that I don't usually drink...or can't afford...and this Junmai Daiginjo from Masumi caught my eye 😀. I usually can't afford a sake of this price 😅. I felt a little bit of Yamahai-like nuance in the top nose, but the overall impression was of a clean, easy-drinking sake that went down smoothly😇. I've only had Masumi sparkling nigori so far, so I had a good impression of my first clear sake😇. I also enjoyed Comet and Shinshu Maihime, which I hadn't had yet😇. The new Maihime in particular was described as dry, which is not the type of sake we would normally drink, but the first attack was a big thump, followed by a sweet fruity taste that we would fully enjoy at home 😇.

Hi Yasbaye 🐦. This is fascinating 😻There's so much to choose from 😆I'd drink even from breweries I've had before if there was something I couldn't normally drink! I'm looking forward to reading your report on the National Sake Fair 😊.

Hi Pon-chan 😀 I was overwhelmed by all the good sake that I would not normally drink even in Nagano Prefecture, which is familiar to me 🤣.
