Happy New Year 🎍🎍. The first drink of the New Year is Manju, the same as last year 🤗 It is my favorite sake, but I drink it only once a year (I can't drink it 🤣), so I enjoy it in a bottle on New Year's. It's still delicious 😋. The third picture is the sakes I brought back from Amaha Shuho 😁.

Purchased at Chiyomusubi Sake Brewery 😀. I was looking forward to opening the bottle because the Jungin of Strong 60 was so good 😁. This one has a much stronger bitter taste than the dry one, so it might be easier to drink it warmed up😅.

I bought it because the "En no Mai Hiyoroshi" I drank on a trip to Shimane was easy to drink and delicious 😀 It was a little different from the En no Mai, a little more colored and not as easy to drink cold. It was a little different from the En no Mai, a little more colorful and not as easy to drink cold, so we mainly drank it warmed up, which was better 😋. We had some of the famous Okayama sweets, Ote-manju, and char-grilled squid from the Izumo-taisha Shrine Monzen Labo as a side dish 😋. The third picture is the slope of Eshima Ohashi Bridge 🤣.

The Junmai Ginjo I drank on my trip was a little sweet, so I went for this one, which is a standard sake, and it is less sweet than the Junmai Ginjo, making it easy to drink and delicious. Kunihiko Mitamura visited Hitoshizuku, a sake brewery in Tokyo, on his "Itsuki Tabi" (a trip for adults) 😊.

Matsue Izumo Trip 12 Closing of Shimane trip at the third restaurant [Shunsaitei Raijin] 😁 Memorandum I chose this restaurant because I couldn't go to Li Bai Sake Brewery which I was going to visit at lunch time and I wanted to finish with super spicy 😁. I could only drink on the first day, but I enjoyed Shimane sake 🤣. The third one is my souvenir 🍶 that I brought back with me. I bought it at Hitoshizuku, a Shimane sake specialty store in Tamatsukuri Onsen, and at Chiyomusubi Sake Brewery in Tottori 😊.

Matsue Izumo Trip The second cup of sake at the third restaurant "Shunsaitei Raijin" 😁 Memorandum The red bottle was recommended as a souvenir at the first restaurant and here as well, and only the 4-goupe bottle comes in a red bottle. I couldn't buy it because I couldn't stop by the liquor store that sold it 🤣 but I thought it would be a good souvenir if they sold it 😋. The fourth one is the potato salad that my wife was raving about: ☺️

Matsue Izumo Trip 8 The third and final restaurant was Shunsaitei Raijin. We could choose the size of sake from a boar's cup, a glass, a single cup, and a double cup, so we drank Shimane sake in a boar's cup. The junmai ginjo at the first restaurant was a little sweet, so I went for the dry junmai. I decided to repeat the Akaten which I enjoyed at the previous restaurant and bought some as a souvenir for myself 😁. All 3 stores in Shimane didn't serve sake bottles so I had to ask them to do it for me 😊.

Sannomiya drinking⑦ We finished our drinking comparison at Asano Sake Shop 😁. I felt there was a bit of bitterness. Next time, I would like to drink it carefully instead of comparing. It was a nice morning drinking experience to drink some sake that I have never had before 😊.

Sannomiya drinking⑥ The final drink of the day at Asano Sake Shop 😁. It was light, not refreshing and had a bit of bitterness 😋. I think I prefer the basic sake that is not raw, I always can't remember the taste of each individual sake when I make a drinking comparison 😅... 😅.

Sannomiya Drinking (5) We finished up at the Asano Sake Shop with a 3 dry sake comparison. I enjoyed the Kouji Dai-harakuchi cold sake I had before, so I went for this one 😋. The cold grated one had a nice sweetness to it 😀. The customer next to me ordered 2 sets of 3 different dry and tasty sake, and I asked him what he recommended for dry sake.

Sannomiya drinking The second drink at Asano Sake Brewery was the first Snowball ⛄️, which is available at the Sengoku Fair starting tomorrow, so I decided to try it out of curiosity even though I didn't think it was my favorite type 😁 I had just opened it and it was my second or third drink, but it wasn't as shwashy as I expected, nor as sour as Akatombo 😊 It's seasonal, so I'm not sure which one to choose next 😋. It was not as sour as Akatombo 😊 It is seasonal so if I have another chance, I'll try UA 😋 which I'm not sure which one I'll try next.

Sannomiya drinking (3) The first restaurant we were planning to go to for our fourth stop, a stand-up drinking spot that specializes in hormone, was out of stock, so we decided to take a break from drinking for a change and had a sweet treat 😋. After eating my favorite kintsuba and coffee set from Hon Takasagaya, I ordered an additional zenzai (sweetened red bean soup) from a neighbor 😁. Last stop was Asano Sake Shop 🍶. I was curious about the seasonal sake Funaka Hachisaku that I saw on Instagram: ☺️ I was wondering how this one would be, since I didn't like the strong bitterness of the summer sake, but as I thought, the regular sake seemed to suit me the best 🤣. I think it is also a pleasure to drink sake to feel the difference between the two 😘.

Sannomiya drinking (2) The third restaurant after the usual stand-up drinking place where we do not drink sake, we went to "ORINAS" which I saw on eo Hikari's Gourmand's Hideout. I asked the staff about the recommended light and dry sake, and they recommended Imadaiji, Yukio, and Senkou. He recommended Imadaiji, Yukio, and Sentori. I was not sure if it was dry or not, but it had a nice umami and sweetness, not too much acidity, and it certainly had a clean and refreshing aftertaste 🙃. It was a good place to drink slowly at night 🤣. Roast beef set meal + 1 piece of fried chicken

Sannomiya Morning Drinking (1) I haven't even finished posting about my trip to Shimane yet, but I'm happy to be drinking in the morning 😀. I've only ever had Jungin, which is my favorite sake, so I was very happy to see this 😘. The Jungin is not only spicy but also has a nice sweetness, but it could be a little sweeter 😋. I want to take it home, but I have a bad feeling if I do😅. I thought I posted this after 9am drinking but now it's here 🤣.

Matsue Izumo Trip 7 The second restaurant was S-PARK, a wine and craft beer restaurant. I ordered a glass of Izumo Fuji Junmai Ginjo Super Dry B lue first, but they said they didn't have enough for one glass, so I got it as a service 😊 As usual, my memory is not so good from this area 😅 I guess it wasn't dry enough for my liking... The bottle said it was recommended to be heated to about 60℃, I don't remember how hot it actually was, but it was delicious 😋 It had a nice color from the aging process 😊. The entrée was visa and Shimane's famous akaten😁.

Matsue Izumo Trip The fifth and final drink at Nekko-ya 😁. I wanted to visit Gassan Tomita Castle before Matsue Castle, but it was a mountain castle and it would have taken about 2 hours to get there. We went to Yoshida Sake Brewery in Gassan nearby and asked about the sake we were going to buy as a souvenir 😁. We decided to have Junmai Ginjo here, it was a little bit sweet but it was easy to drink without any lingering aftertaste 😅I prefer something a little spicier 😅. The izakaya also told us that Gassan is a slightly sweet sake 😁.

Travel in Matsue and Izumo The third cup of sake at Nekko-ya 😁. Today's Oroku, which we compared to the other two, was "Kei", which also had a slightly unique aroma 😊. The third one is "Saba no Shokara (salted mackerel)" which seems to be a common dish in Shimane ‼️ The owner offered to serve me some sake to go with it since I only ordered sake, but since I can't eat fish, my wife decided to have it 😅. I can't eat fish, so my wife decided to have it 😅.
