Today is Xmas Eve, but it's my daughter's birthday at home, so I was busy shopping, cooking, and the dinner table was Chinese as she requested ✨. I brought the long awaited Jikin today and opened the bottle immediately ✨but for various reasons that are popular right now, I'm not sure how I'm going to store the bottle😅I guess I'll just drink it anyway and it will run out 🥳. It has a mild fruity aroma and a hint of gas. The mouthfeel is clean, with a light sweetness like pineapple 🍍 and a richness of umami that spreads out, the acidity is mild, but it's refreshing at the end. When I think of pineapple🍍, Hachihan-nishiki comes to mind. There is a difference between jun-dai and jun-gin, but Hachihan-nishiki of Hachihan-nishiki is more gorgeous and light. The umami strength and sharpness are stronger in Jigin 🥰.

I was just in Harajuku the other day for an event for my child's guess, so on my way home I picked up a bottle of Genzai nama sake I ordered online at Hasegawa Sake Shop's Azabu Juban location 🍶. I thought the Genzai was so good I wanted to try some of the raw sake too ✨. Fresh banana🍌 aroma with some chili gas. Beautiful sweet and umami, full-bodied and delicious😍. The acidity is mild, the gas and umami are well balanced, and there is no weird bitterness or dullness, so it's easy to drink and delicious! I wanted to savor it slowly, but I could drink it smoothly 🫣.

I was told about it by ma-ki before and didn't know it was such a popular sake, so I'm glad I was able to secure it 😊. It has a mild fruity aroma. I will start with the supernatant. Fine gas, beautiful sweetness with expansive umami, mild acidity, beautiful lingering aroma, banana🍌. When stirred, it becomes juicy sweet and umami! The fine gas is really elegant... The lingering umami flavor remains and disappears nicely. It still feels like a balanced nigori of the royal road 😊. On the second day, the hint of aroma has a hint of Japanese pear. The juicy sweet-amami flavor disappears without any change in taste, so it is easy to drink and is like a juice 😍.

The second drink was Otters! It's been a while since I've had an Ottersai, but I got it in a single bottle✨. The picture is of the charcoal-grilled Jidori chicken since this is a Jidori grill restaurant 🥰The portions were huge and filling ✨. It has a sweet fruity aroma like white peaches, strong carbonation, and a refreshing sweet flavor. Very easy to drink so even people who don't like sake can drink it😊.

We will finish the year with only two more drinking parties called year-end parties✨. Yesterday, I visited Ajikuriya, a one-minute walk from Shimbane Station! It is a sister store of Kichijo's, where I often buy sake. I've also posted the sake menu. I was not a member of the sake drinking group, so I only had two glasses, but I had a glass of Banjo Kotobuki, which I had been wanting to drink. Fruity aroma. The gas was gone. It is moderately sweet and has a beautiful flavor. The spiciness and bitterness are very zesty! The freshness was clean, dry and delicious✨.

I was of the generation that was just in love with the Bikkuriman collaboration, so I bought it on impulse 😅Heraclists and Head Rococo were perfect for me ✨. It's the 7th sake from the Bikkuriman Local Creation Project 🍶The brand name is "Shun no Uten". It was sold out quickly at the brewery because it was only available in Yamanashi, but the national version was usually on the shelf 🤣. It has an aroma of ripe fruit and a mild taste. The sweetness is moderate, and a gentle umami flavor envelopes the sweetness. The acidity is mild, and the aftertaste is finished with a lingering acidity. The taste is gentle and delicious 🥰. I tried it hot, but I thought it was delicious cold or room temperature ✨.

This is my first Tenmei, but I was attracted by the label! I was going to buy it when I saw the No. Zero, but I missed the timing, so I bought the No. 1! This sake is made from Yamadanishiki and Gohyakumangoku ✨. The aroma is sweet fruity, melon, banana, with a hint of citrus 🤔. I can really feel some gas. The mouthfeel is beautiful. Modest sweetness, beautiful umami, acidity that builds up, and a little sharpness. There is a little lees and it is stirred. The flavor increases and the juiciness of the umami is felt, but the acidity is still high and sharp, so the wine is refreshing. On the third day, the gas is gone, the juiciness remains the same, and the acidity becomes milder and easier to drink 🥰.

The fourth and last drink of the Kaku-uchi was also my first time at Hana Shokudo! I drank a little too much with this rare drink even though the first round of drinks was to follow😅. The red label is a blend of pure sake 😊. I can't tell the aroma, beautiful clear mouthfeel, fresh 🥰. It's a beautifully tasty sake... the acidity comes on slowly but the umami is irresistible😍I guess it's classical but I can drink as much as I want 😍... It's a good sake to connect to the upcoming first party😊.

The third drink was by Fukutsuru, a sake from Toyama, although a search for sakewa turned up a Nagasaki brand. The picture shows the menu on the whiteboard as well as a vending machine where you can drink for 100 yen with a boar cup. It is a room temperature sake😊. I don't know about the aroma, it has a beautiful, clear mouthfeel, classic but beautiful sweet umami, the acidity is plunging, and the aftertaste is alcoholic, it's a sake to drink hot or during a meal ✨.

The second drink was Echizen Cape Stark Kaiser! Apparently it means "powerful emperor" in German. All the sake listed on the white board at FURUMAIYA's Kaku-uchi are 500 yen, and although we didn't order any entrées since it was a zero-ticket party, the menu is quite good for a Kaku-uchi ✨. I don't know about the aroma, it has a beautiful mouthfeel. The beautiful umami is lush and the mild acidity finishes it off nicely. It's listed as super spicy +10, but it's not that spicy, the umami is beautiful and irresistible 🥰.

Before the annual year-end party at a yakiniku restaurant, we went to FURUMAYA at the Atre station building in Kawasaki Station. FURUMAIYA is a liquor store that sells sake from the Hokuriku and Shinetsu regions. I had never had sake before, so I drank a lot of sake even though it was the first meeting 😅. I will start with Sogen Nigori 😊. I don't know about the aroma, it has a slurpy mouthfeel, seems to have lost its gas 🤔. The umami is full, creamy and delicious... The acidity is mild and easy to drink, there is a slight bitterness in the aftertaste. It was a delicious nigori sake 🥰. The picture is our customary ritual before the yakiniku barbecue starts✨

I had to follow Shikatarou's example and drink some of the local Kanagawa sake ✨. Please apple, does it feel like apple🍎🤔The description states that it is made with malic acid high producing yeast and not using apples, and the internet says it is an adult cider 😋So what's it like? It smells like rice. It has a gentle mouthfeel and the gas is chili. It's crisp, acidic, and flavorful! The aftertaste is also very sour. It is honestly sour 🫣. If this is the case, I wonder what it would be like hot 🤔. Lukewarm Mild on the palate, but the umami is the same as cold and the sourness is noticeable. Hot warmed Sour with a tingling sensation😅 Hot-warmed and cooled It's still the easiest to drink, but it's very sour and acidic 😅 It's not like apple all the time but more like apple cider vinegar? If you like sourness, please give it a try!

This is the last sake I received from Osaka-ya Sake Shop's 3 month hanpukai. It was about 5,000 yen per month and 2 bottles of No. 4 were delivered, so this sake alone cost 5,000 yen, so how did they balance the books 🤔? The specs were not written on the label, so I checked the information at the liquor store and it is a Jun-Dai made from Kinmon-Nishiki sake polished to 38%. It has a gorgeous apple aroma, no gas, clear and clean mouthfeel, beautiful sweetness and expansive flavor 😍It seems well polished. And it's refreshing because it's quite sharp. I found this sharpness a bit heavy for me and drank it over 3 days, but according to the liquor store's explanation, it disappears from my mouth when I notice it, so I guess I'm not quite there yet either 🤣.

The fifth and last drink is my first nigori by Kuroemon XVI ✨. It has a sweet banana type aroma with a chili gasiness. The sweetness feels juicy and the acidity is mild and easy to drink ✨. The description described it as an adult calpis soda, but I couldn't tell the calpis feeling, but I do think it's juicy 😊.

Thank you too, Kotaro 😊 Unlike Hakusyu, Hakusyu has a stronger gas, so Hakusyu has more depth of sweetness. If you are looking for freshness, this is the one, but my preference is for Hakusyu 🥰.

The 4th glass was nigori sake from Tedorigawa 🥰I drank Tedorigawa once before, but it was when I was very drunk so my memory is a bit fuzzy😅. Mild sweet banana🍌 aroma with a hint of gas. Mild full-bodied sweetness, mild acidity, refreshing and delicious. Easy to drink😍. The sweetness lingers in the aftertaste too â This is my favorite!

The third glass of TokyoRiceWine, which I visited the other day, followed by three glasses of nigori from here. I decided to try a brand I hadn't had yet, so I asked for a sweet, spicy, and anything in between 😋. I couldn't smell it. It has a clean, clear mouthfeel with a clean, clean sweetness 😍 mild acidity and a bitter and spicy aftertaste. Well balanced and nicely put together ✨I don't think it would suit those looking for sweetness, but the spiciness of the nigori was refreshing as I haven't had many of those ✨.

The second drink is the first brand I've ever had ✨. This one was so gassy that the waiter managed to hold it down when he opened the bottle, but the liquor blew up to the ceiling 🤣 catastrophe, and about a gong was lost. It has a clean fruity aroma. It's a great shrieking gas 😳It's sweet and sour with more acidity than sweetness. The alcohol content is 10 degrees so you can drink it like a juice 🥰. Still to come.

Last night's year-end party left me damaged in the morning, but since it was my day off, I had a lunchtime drink. Shiraito Shuzo's 170th anniversary project, a collaboration with Shinmasa ✨. We were able to have it for the first sip 😍. Mild fruity aroma, with a hint of banana🍌🤔. Gentle and elegant sweetness, accented by a beautiful acidity that disappears nicely. It's elegant ✨As expected from Niimasa, the acidity was a distinctive feature of this sake 🍶.
