I went on a bit of a shopping expedition. I was excited because stores I don't usually go to have a different selection of products 🤩. I wanted some of this and some of that, but I calmed down and decided on the new nigori sake from Amami. Fruity sweetness with a muscat aroma typical of Yamadanishiki. There seemed to be a lot of choices, but I thought this Amami was delicious.

My sake of choice, Kibotsuru. This time it was a draft of Yuyamanishiki. Aroma like pear🍐 after opening the bottle. The sweetness and slight bitterness are a perfect match with the chili gasiness. I knew it was good 😋. It's a full bottle, but it ran out quickly😅. I think the black Kihotsuru is excellent when fired, but I think this Yuyamanishiki or Omachi is the best on draft 🧐.

Sake no Wa Offikai Kansai Branch. As always, a fun and powerful meeting 🤣. The venue this time was at Grain. We had a lunch course and sake. We had a variety of sake, but I chose "Amezure" because of the rain. I was drunk, so my memory is a little hazy, The sake had a moderate sweetness and a rather strong acidity. The dishes were all very tasty with a good broth. The fourth one is the second party. I love it, it's like the Avengers 🤣. Sorry for the weird face cover, everyone 🙏. It just felt right 🤣. Since bouken-san and Nemuchi-san are not here this time, I probably only have a summary post. Someone said that since bouken-san probably drank all of the drinks, we could send him the lineup of drinks we drank and have him post them one by one 🤣. Thank you very much for organizing this event, and thank you to everyone who participated 😊.

I had assumed from the label that it would be dry, but it was quite sweet and delicious. I am ashamed to say that I did not know either Horinoi or Takahashi Shuzoten, but I appreciate the hanpukai for the opportunity to learn about various sakes.

A nice bar with a great atmosphere that I stopped by on my trip to Nagoya. There is Yamasan🟢! I had to drink this 😤. The moderately soft sweetness and sourness flow down your throat easily. I see, this is delicious 😋. My son, who drinks Coke, asks me if it tastes better than Coke. He asks, "Is it better than Coke? My son says, "Coke is made with a lot of care and attention, so yes, it tastes good. But this one tastes just a little bit better than Coke. We also had a glass of numerosis, and we were in a good mood for dinner.

This time it is wine🍷. I would like to say, the label looks like a wine etiquette. There is no way I can buy such fashionable sake by myself, it is a hanpukai sake. It tastes exactly like sake 😆. It is a blend of three different types of sake, including Gohyakumangoku and Koshitanrei. It is a light and dry sake that cuts cleanly and crisply, typical of Niigata sake. It also has a sweet taste if you try to catch it properly. It is a bottle with a label like this that goes well with Japanese food.

My wife declared that she wanted to drink sake again today. She was somewhat frustrated with the previous day's less fizzy Snowball ⛄️, so I opened a bottle of Jikin Akkeshu. I couldn't go to the store on the release day of Jikkyo Nigori because I had something to do, so I got it the following week at the same store with more points and more money. Half out of desperation. Crowned with effervescence. It puts a lot of pressure on opening the bottle. When you pour it into the glass, you see firm bubbles. This is it, this is it. The aroma is not so strong, but slightly rummy. When you take a sip, you get a strong fizzy sensation, followed by a sweet taste that lasts for a while, and then finishes with a weak bitterness. Not much acidity. Generally sweet. It's good 😋. The low alcohol content makes it easy to drink. Considering the price, is Sengoku Sanshiki better overall? I think so, but as expected of Jikin, it was a bottle with a high degree of perfection.

It's been a while since my wife wanted to drink sake, so we decided to open a snowball: ⛄️ I carefully opened the bottle, but there was no reaction. Huh? At any rate, I just take the top clear liquid. It's sweet. Was it this sweet? Or is it because it's only the supernatant? I looked at the bottle, but the lees dance didn't start... Something is wrong. Well, it's okay, I'll take it again with manual stirring. Hmmm, not very fizzy. It tastes good, but I was a little disappointed because I was imagining a good balance of sweet, sour, and bitter. Was it because it had been two months since I bought it that the gas had escaped from the cap? I don't know, but my wife said it tasted good, so I guess it's OK. Next time I will try to drink it sooner.

I try to buy Kihotsuru whenever I see it. This year, I will not hesitate to buy even a bottle. The label of the Japan Famous Sake Association is as cool as ever. The aroma is ricey and fruity. It has a slightly sour sweetness. After that, a slight bitterness refreshes the palate. The impression is that it is all nicely put together. The drink does not tire you out, so you can gobble it up. As the day goes by, the bitterness becomes more noticeable, but when it is heated up, the sweetness increases and the bitterness recedes. I think it's rather good as a heated sake from Kibotsuru.

I drank Senkou. It is gassy, dry sweet and very tasty 😋. I generally always find Sentori to be delicious, but sometimes it can be insanely good depending on conditions, diet, etc. This time, it was so good that it turned me upside down. SENKYO is amazing. Even if I am told that this is the only sake I can drink from now on, I think I will be okay with it after a week or so of crying my eyes out. Will I be able to buy it on a steady basis in the future? I hope it doesn't get picked up by something and become a buzzword.

TATENOGAWA is brewed with white malted rice. This zodiac label seems to be the only one for white koji brewing. It has strong acidity. It is fruity and sweet, but it has strong acidity😅. I didn't like this one. This hanpukai was not a good match. Well, such things happen, don't they?

Sukuisho December hanpukai. Chinese zodiac label🐍. I remember drinking skunk cabbage outside, but this is my first time drinking Tanigawadake. The aroma is subdued. It has a strong acidity and is refreshing, so I guess it is suitable for a mid-meal drink. It is not my favorite sake, but I think this is a good sake.

We finally opened a bottle of Kiho Tsuru for New Year's. This is the top model of my favorite Kiho Tsuru. I was really looking forward to it. I am very excited. After opening the bottle, I took a sip. This one is a real treat. It's not flashy by any means, but it has a sweetness like biting into a fine dried candy, and acidity and bitterness that wash it down nicely. Perfect balance. Yum! Outrageous. Since it is a bottle, we enjoyed it over a number of days. As the days go by, the bitterness comes out just a little bit more. I liked it best on the first day, but if you want to pair it with a meal, the third or fourth day is best. It can also be served lukewarm. The sweetness increases, and the impact of the first day is felt again. It's the best lukewarm sake I've ever had. It's just so gentle. I'm glad I bought it even though it was expensive. So far, this is the best sake I've had this year.

Hi Maru! I just had my first "Kibotsuru" Junmai Shinshu the other day and it's delicious 😲 and Junmai Daiginjo of it is just as delicious 🤣. I'm glad to see that the sweetness returns when warmed up to lukewarm, and since it's only one bottle, I can try a lot of different things 😁.

SENKOKU "Edogari" is the hottest topic. This is a sparkling sake from the Zero formula (raw sake), the I formula (hi-iru), the Niki formula (oirigarami), and this Sanshiki (sparkling raw sake). I was about to open a bottle of sake for New Year's when my wife asked, "Do you have any sake that I can drink too?" I changed my plan to open the bottle at a moment's notice. I quickly changed my plans and opened a bottle of Sengoku Sanshiki. It was so bubbly that it almost spilled out. The color was white with a hint of haze. The color is a hazy white, with the sweetness and acidity typical of Sentori and a fizzy moi-moi feeling. Very tasty 😋. Goes well with crab casserole (🦀). My wife and I instantly killed it with Tochigi Ai🥰. ✌️

I'm just in time because Osaka is open until the 15th 😅. The first bottle of the new year is from Midorikawa in Niigata prefecture. It was not prepared by me, but was opened at a family gathering. The aroma is elegant and light. It is light, with a hint of sweetness and bitterness at the end. Not so much dry as light and dry. This is Niigata. We also had it lukewarm. The sweetness increases, and the overall impression is that it opens up gradually, which is a nice touch. After this, I got a fever and went down. ⤵️ This three-day weekend is a New Year's do-over 😄. I bought some sake for New Year's, and I'm going to drink it. Influenza A is very popular and B is coming soon, so please be careful.

White Sake (5) The last sake of this year is from Ishikawa, Hokuriku. The last sake of the year was Shirojusyu from Tetorigawa, which was there for me when I was crying because I couldn't get a bottle of Hirotogawa nigori. The first sip scared me. Sweetness, acidity, and a bitterness that comes out a little bit before. Huh? Wasn't Hirotogawa like this? It was a perfect fit! It is delicious, inexpensive, and the best nigori of the season for me so far. I am glad to have encountered it at the end of this year. I have met wonderful sake and great sake friends this year as well. I wish you a happy sake life next year 🙏. I wish you all a very drunken New Year! I look forward to working with you next year 🍶.

I wondered until the last minute whether I should bring it to the off-line meeting. The bottle was opened at the end of the year! The sweetness slowly sinks into your tired body. It's so good! Ginga-ga-ga-ga-ga-ga? This is my first time 🥰 to try the NEW BORN of Sasuza Akabu. It has a great balance of sweetness, acidity, and bitterness, and the freshness that is typical of nama-shu is also well apparent. It is a definite taste. White sake (4) This is the first time for Masayo a.k.a. Gagakuyo. I will start with white sake without drinking the standard. I like white sake. As the store owner said, it is not that vigorous, so opening the bottle was smooth. It has a melon aroma and a light sweetness. Sourness, little bitterness. When mixed with lees, the acidity increases and the bitterness retracts. There is a slight shuffle. Oh, man, it's so good! I heard that Tenryohaii Sake Brewery was started by a young master brewer named Kato-san, who bought the brewery and started the business. And Kato-san's notebook is easy to read and very interesting. What a genius! That's my impression. Sake brewed by a challenging and hardworking genius. I like sake more and more.

This year it's this blue bottle, Houou Mita: 🐦‍🔥 When you drink the second fermentation of sake in the bottle, it's already champagne... I can't go back to drinking such eh or sparkling wine! I can't go back to sparkling wine! It has fine bubbles and a prodigal sweetness, yet it ends up dry and tight 🫧. Goes well with western food. The flashy bottle and the price that makes the average person cry, it's not a joke. Yum 😋. Tochigi love on a holy night 🥰. I told the kids that since dad is friends with Santa, we'd get a special early visit from Santa 🧑‍🎄 on Saturday night. The younger ones were overjoyed while the older ones scowled at the older ones who knew the truth! Thanks to him, the kids had a full Sunday to play with their toys 🙌. And by the way, a father's dignity somewhat 🆙. It's hard to get them off to school on weekday mornings 😓.
