Series of Drinking and Not Checking In
A recommendation from the master of the restaurant I always go to.
I thought Iwate was a classic except for Purple Space and Red Takeshi, but this is another new fiery one 😍.
Fukushima sake and Fukushima snacks today!
I fell in love with Aizumusume on my trip to Fukushima the year before last.
It's rich and juicy with a pear-like texture, and the rice is packed with flavor. Junmai Aizumusume is delicious, but this is even better. I can't stop drinking it.
I was organizing my sake fridge for my next trip. So I decided to have this one today. It is juicy and pithy like muscat or lychee, and then it finishes with acidity and a pleasant bitterness. It is well-balanced and delicious.
It's not a pure sake or junmai, but it's delicious. In fact, it is so mellow even though it is alsobeige. The ginjo aroma comes in smoothly and the sweetness goes out in a gorgeous way, and the aftertaste disappears beautifully. It's a great sake. It's a great sake, and the cost is perfect 👌.
Excellent Hirotogawa-kun
I like the special pure Hirotogawa-kun, but I like the junmai ginjo Hirotogawa-kun even more 😊It has a soft sweetness, a fluffy apple aroma, and a soft yogurt-like acidity at the end.
I can drink Hirotogawa-kun all the time 😋.
The second bottle of the Kyun Pass trip Izakaya Shinkansen is my favorite Mikotsuru.
I have loved this sake since my trip to Matsumoto and Suwa last year. This time it was Miyamanishiki, so it was fresh and juicy, yet it was very smooth and crisp. The hors d'oeuvre set and yaki-sai from Sakiyo-eiken were served as the entrée.
Thanks again, Jay & Nobby. We have a private party in the Sakénawa area. We have stocked up on sake again and will upload it as we go along. ⤴️ We will be in Toyama next!
Start of the KYUNPASS trip
3.5 hours to Shin-Aomori by Shinkansen.
The first bottle of sake is Sou Yuu's raw sake.
Melon-like aroma, soft sweetness, gentle acidity, and a refreshing aftertaste...
It's so well-balanced, isn't it?
My travel companion and I emptied it before we arrived in Sendai from Tokyo: ❗️
I asked for a refreshing drink at the end and got this.
I've never seen ➕28 before... lol.
And the taste...
I didn't find it to be that dry, as is typical of Yamagata sake.
But it's a refreshing grapefruit!
I like it this way, but it could be a little sweeter. lol.
I've never had sake rice jubanmai.
How could such a sake be found here?
The taste is mild. Is it smooth - this is delicious too!
I guess I'll have to become more of a juggernaut (is that a word?) than an omatist. I'll have to become a jugamer (is that a word?) rather than an omatist.
I love Omachi and am somewhat of an omatist, so I had to drink it.
Magma is a good description!
It has a powerful, concentrated, rich flavor and elegant aroma that is typical of Omachi. It is a little sweet, but the acidity finishes it off. Oh, it's delicious!
I had a fancy sake, so I got a slightly more subdued one. I went to the brewery the year before last and drank it, but hasn't it gotten even better?
The aroma of melon is nice, and it finishes with a light acidity...I have to go back to Fukushima again!
The second glass is Saga's Motomine Tsuru.
This one has a fizzy feeling.
The balance of sweetness and this fizzy feeling is nice. The price is reasonable.
This is a cosy sake.
Jay & Nobby, good evening 😆You have a great eye for detail 😍Once you get it, you can't run away from it. Yes, I'm going on a trip to Hirosaki next week. I feel like Toyobai is calling me 😋.
It's been a while since I've been out drinking alone.
I decided to drink something I haven't had in a long time.
I decided to start with this.
I have not had Saitama sake for a long time.
It has a moderate acidity and fruity sweetness.
It is juicy like a peach.
The acidity gives it a nice kick.
Yes, it is delicious.
It is different from Hana-yoso, but I wonder if it is the same as it in the lineage.
I had a lot going on today, so I went out for a drink.
I asked the manager for a recommendation and this came up. Thanks 😭
Not much to say, just delicious 😋.
Today, we have Yamagata sake for the first time in a while.
It is Akamazan, which is the best sake to go with fish. Although it is said to be "Hon-darikuchi," the fact that it still feels deliciously dry is proof of Yamagata sake's deliciousness.
Fresh but rich in flavor, and mellow as only junmai sake can be. It's like a delicious black beef🐃 made even better.
The sake rice is also a blend of Yamadanishiki and Ihyakuman, so I wonder if that makes it thicker.
Souvenir sake from my trip to Akita
Actually, you can drink it at a nearby izakaya for an unbeatable price.
It has a refreshing taste and is a little strong at 17% alcohol by volume, but it has a nice sharpness and does not interfere with the meal. It is best when paired with sashimi.
However, I have never seen it sold at liquor stores in the neighborhood. I heard that some izakaya also order it from Akita. I wonder if there is any place that sells it.
I checked the sake fridge to see what I would like to drink today. My eyes met with this girl, Senkou.
Personally, I like Omachi as a sake rice!
Yes, it has a freshness, but it also has acidity and sweetness running through it. I wonder if I can feel the lychee flavor. It is still delicious.
Good evening, Jay & Nobby.
I haven't had Sentori for a long time, but it is still delicious 😋 I feel happy that there is good sake in the world. I will also enjoy the Ryual Sentori.
