This year's GW will include two remote work days in the middle of the week, but I don't have any particular travel plans 😅I'll be able to take it easy 🤗. Now, it's Saturday, the first day of GW! I must drink some Ibaraki sake once in a while 🍶. So, it's been 3 months since Urasato, and here's a bottle I bought because I was kind of curious about Nobby! This is the first time I'm drinking Watanobune. ‼️ I'll make love to you Quietly open the bottle... the aroma is fruity: ☺️ It's very easy to drink, fresh and fruity, sweet but with depth 😚. It is very easy to drink, fresh & fruity but with a deep taste 😚 🤔This is very good as a food sake 😋Ibaraki also has some good sake 😄. By the way, it happened on Friday evening when I was excited about GW🤗 starting tomorrow... Suddenly, due to some mistake, my approval authority disappeared from the company's system 😨 and if I don't do something about it, my work for the end of the month will be delayed😱. And the problem was handled by the overseas Indian 🇮🇳 team, and I ended up calling them until after 8am and managed to get my authorization back. 😮‍💨 I hope nothing is wrong with my remote work during GW 😥I'm a little worried, so I'm going to have a drink to calm down first 😆.

This week, I took Monday and Tuesday as rest days 😪 and welcomed Wednesday! It was raining☔ and the temperature was dropping🥶, so we had nabe for dinner for the first time in a while🍲. So we couldn't help but drink 😄. So, Nobby went on an expedition to Ohwada Sake Shop in Tochigi City in search of a dry sake and chose this one🤗Hatsuka Hato 🤗‼️ It's up there in Sake no.11 in Hiroshima Prefecture, but I've never seen this label 🤔I checked online and it's not even on the Enoki Sake Brewery's product list😳 Apparently it's an original brand. I don't know. I'll make love to you I'll take a sip and it's delicious 😋I had a preconceived notion that it was going to have a strong alu feeling, but it has a gentle mouthfeel that gradually spreads to a sour taste that finishes off ☺️ and there's a hint of sweetness in the aftertaste 😚. This is a bottle that is perfect for nabe (hot pot), and you can enjoy it slowly without getting tired of drinking it, but if you drink it with Otani on YouTube as a snack, it will be gone soon😅. As it says on the label, it was a "relaxing and comforting sake" ☺️ Nobby did it: ‼️ I'm not sure if this is a good idea or not, but I'm sure it's a good idea.

This is a bottle that caught my attention when I was looking at the fridge at Ueoka Sake Shop in Sano, where I went back for a certain sake. ‼️ When I paid the bill, the shopkeeper asked me, "This is the last bottle of Fukuda, made last June, is it OK?" The shopkeeper confirmed it to me. I thought for a moment 🤔 it was about a year ago, but then he said 'Yes! It's the last Fukuda's 🥹I'll take it with all my heart!' So I brought him along. When I told Nobby that I hadn't had a sparkling drink in a while 😋, he said, "I know 😙I was thinking the same thing. It's better to drink early, right? So we continued after finishing the rest of the Nishibori and Daishinshu on Sunday when Nobby and I met again 😁. The bottle opened easily and we toasted in a Riedel glass for the first time in a long time 🥂 Ahhh, the nostalgic grapefruit-like aroma 😌. The first sip is sweet and fresh 😙It's slightly carbonated and refreshing 😙It's almost like Mida's foul sake ☺️ and I finished it quickly and easily 😋. The rest of the bottle was killed by Mr. Fukuda after drinking Nishibori => Oshinshu! I drank a little too much Sunday night 😅I started drinking early so I went to bed early and watched MLB game from early Monday morning🏟️ Otani's new Japanese record HR⚾ made me feel refreshed and ready for work😄.

At the end of January, I had a bottle of Daishinshu dry sake 😋 and I thought it was fruity and refreshing and I could drink it as much as I wanted 🤗. After that, I've had a variety of dry wines and I think I've built up my basic strength 😆This time I'm going to try a super dry one👍. I thought it might be a little too big 🤔 after having half of Nishibori's rich sweet flavor 😅😅 but that's Daishinshu's trustworthy and proven track record! I'll make love to you I'll make love to you! This is a fresh bottle with a subtle apple flavor, a good aroma, and a strong umami, and just like the dry one we had in January, it's delicious enough to drink as much as you want. I really like this kind of fruity and refreshing dry wine 🥹. I drank it all up in one gulp 😚 and when I had a few centimeters left, my rationale kicked in and I put the lid back on, but I drank a little too much that day 😓. We've been able to enjoy both sweet and spicy drinks recently 😄I think I'll try Kangiku, which I've been avoiding because of its sweetness.... And on Sunday when we met again, we opened the rest of Nishibori and killed the rest of Oshinshu in a blink of an eye 😋... but it's Sunday, so be careful not to drink too much... but we don't want to drink like this 😅. So we searched the fridge for the last bottle!

I was really curious about this one that some people mentioned in the March Kansai Off-line Meeting report (‼️). I was looking for a liquor store that sold this sake, and I found one in the city of Utsunomiya 👍Kotori-San happened to stop by that liquor store on the Tochigi Citizen's Line and I asked him about Nishibori, and he said they sell it, so I asked Nobby to rush over to the store 😊. So I asked Nobby to come over 😊. I checked out the sakewa and found out what everyone thought of it 🤔, and they all praised it highly, saying it was "mildly gorgeous and has a nice sweetness😊It left the strongest impression on them😊And everyone was talking about their love for Tochigi🥰, which made me happy again 🥹. I will make love to you with all my heart Yes, it's a good thing I'm not a fan of Tochigi! The sweet aroma heightens my anticipation! I'm so happy to hear that 🜂! This is delicious 😚 This sweetness is not too much and Nobby also enjoyed drinking it! I thought that a glass of this outside would certainly have a strong impact on people in the Kansai region 😊. It's too thick at 17 degrees to drink all at once😅I drank half of it and switched to the next one! I had the rest on Sunday and it was as good as ever👍 I love Tochigi 🥰, nurtured in Kansai.

The last one we got at Isetan in Shinjuku in March ‼️ is our third bottle of Yamori 🤗. When we paid at the cashier, we found a double paper bag with a solid cushioning material and refrigerant! We were both impressed that a department store in the city is so different 🙂. After that, we really wanted to go to Kinshicho for a lunchtime drink, which we had done before 😅but we couldn't go back to my father's place drunk, so we gave up after just Chinese beer 🍺. It's already been a month since then...time really flies 😌. I usually take Monday through Wednesday as my rest days 🥲, but since I had given my liver a good rest before my physical checkup 🤔, I thought I felt like having something to drink 😙 and came home 😙. Then I came home to a table lined with firefly squid and chives soba noodles that Nobby had prepped for me ‼️ I had to come that way 😋! I took a quick photo and let the party begin 🍶. Aladdin and Yasube also drank, so I know it's good 😄. I'll make love to you! I'll make love to you! The sweet aroma, the robust umami volume ☺️, and the sharpness from the bitterness that comes in the second half are well balanced and the cup went on 😋Yamori-Yamashi 🤗. A+Z Arashigiri at the Kenmin Kai! I drank a blend of A+Z Arashigiri and Blame, so the missing middle part was filled this time 😆.

A new brand of sake from Jay's grandfather's hometown of Hirado🥹Fukuda Shuzo's new brand Fukkai ‼️ I knew I had to try this 😤 from the atmosphere of the label and the sake's reputation, so I drove 🚙 to a liquor store in Sano in March to get it👍. However, on Tuesday, three days after I bought it! I was casually looking on SNS and saw the news that Mashidaya had started to carry Fukkai 😳! I was a little disappointed 🤨 after having traveled so far to get it 💦 on the way home, I stopped by Mashidaya ⁉️ The "Heto" that Nobby bought on his Oyama shopping expedition was also sold at a liquor store in Utsunomiya station...you have to do your research when you go on an expedition 😓. So I opened the bottle after a little more than a month's sleep🤗Be careful when you open it, the owner told me! The owner of the store told me to be careful when opening the bottle, but as Maru-san said, it opened without a hitch😅. I'll make love to you! The deliciousness of the rice combined with the elegant acidity creates a beautifully clear taste. ☺️ I love the taste of rice and the elegant acidity combined with the beautifully clear flavor 😋. The three bottles I had on the weekend after my physical exam were all so delicious that I killed them all in an instant‼️ too early and finished them before 7pm 😅 so as a result, I am living a healthy life, going to bed early and getting up early!

When I bought a bottle of Yamori at Isetan Shinjuku, I was looking at the fridge to buy another bottle... 🤗I picked up this one right away and thought, "Here it is ‼️ I wanted to drink this one 🤗! Mamio-san 👋 This four-pack bottle was made in 2024 😄. When I posted a picture of the Yamori and Ippouki I bought when I posted the holy message, a lot of people got hooked on this 😅I was looking forward to it since I already know it's delicious 🥹. I'm going to make love to you! The sweetness and acidity are well balanced with a hint of bitterness that finishes it off nicely 😊. The bitterness is like the bitter taste of wild vegetables that I couldn't eat as a child, but now as an adult I can enjoy them 😊It goes well with my side dish of the day, soaked rape blossoms👍. Ippou is delicious 😚. By the way, the Dodgers game with Yamamoto starting was scheduled for 11 a.m. that day, so I went for my regular one-hour walk before the game 💦and took a shower to cleanse myself before watching the game on TV! Otani hit a HR⚾ and Yamamoto got the right to pitch the game winner, even though he was hit by a pitch! I thought I'd seen a good game, but then, just like that, they caught up to me... and eventually lost in extra innings 😢 My life rhythm is now completely centered around Otani 😆.

Yay! The long night is finally over 🌃☀️ J&N physicals finished on Thursday and Friday respectively 😮‍💨 I don't know the final results 😅 but at least they both had good liver function 🥹. This result verified that whether we abstain from alcohol for a whole month like last year or for 13 days like this time, the result of the diagnosis will not change 😅I will report it at the next Sake no Wa conference😁. So the first bottle to drink after about two weeks of sobriety, as you can all guess 😄from Tochishu👍. Back to basics, my favorite modern omachi raw from Senkyu: ‼️ This raw seal is important 🤗. Actually, I went to a few liquor stores where I could easily find it, but they were sold out and didn't have it 😨. No way! I went into a liquor store and got the last bottle! I'll make love to you! I'll make love to you! The aroma is so good that you can't wait to taste it! Last weekend, Nobby went to my son's apartment to clean his room 🧹, and then he and my son went to see the flowers 🌸 or rather the branches since they are not in bloom yet? It was a bit like that😅. We also enjoyed walking around Kawagoe 🤗. We met again today, but 4/1 is Jay's birthday 🎂 he may be one year older, but he's still an Arakan 😆. And a surprise fact discovered at the Tochigi Pref. meeting the other day 😳Snow Moon Flower Star has the same birthday as us ‼️ Happy Birthday to 👋Snow Moon 👋Happy Birthday 🎉! I haven't had a drink today due to various reasons 😅I had a drink before my anniversary 🌸 from Tochigi Sake 🤗. I was worried it might be too sweet. I was worried that it might be too sweet, but it is true that the sweetness comes at first on the palate, but the nice acidity and the bitterness that follows it make it a refreshing drink 😚. I knew it would be good 🥹! The reason for all this is my physical exam 😓Jay is scheduled for 4/11 and Nobby for 4/12 😥I've had to go through a one month sober training before the exam for the past two years 😮‍💨 but since I've recently been taking a day off drinking in the first half of the week, I think I'll be fine! I've decided to scale back my sobriety to about 10 days this time 😤. So I will take a break from posting for a while 😊I will try to comment, thank you! I'll take a little break now.

After the first prefectural meeting in a long time, we spent four days from Sunday to Wednesday basking in the afterglow 🥹. On Thursday, two of Nobby's friends from high school were coming to Utsunomiya for a day trip...or rather, to eat gyoza (Chinese dumplings), and Nobby was there to guide them 🤗. Even though it was a weekday, Gyoza Road (🥟) was crowded with people 😳 We got in line, went to 3 restaurants (Minmin => Goku => Pork Kikki), then went to Joshi Park🌸 to LRT🚉 and guided sightseeing 💁‍♀️ I was thinking of taking a break and having something sweet to eat. I think I like Koran the best" said Nobby, and my friend reacted with a jerk 🤨‼️ and said she had to go there, so she went to 4 restaurants 🥟 as a result 😆. Nobby, who ate quite a lot of gyoza (dumplings), said he couldn't drink a bottle at night, but he wanted to have a light drink! I made love to him and he said "I'm going to make love to you! I made love to him and when I took a sip of it, he said, "Wow, this is really good! I can tell right away that it's delicious 😊😍 It's dry but has a great spread of umami, but then you realize it's going to go away quickly and easily 😊 so you can't stop yourself from having another one 😋. It's like Sanzenmori's fresh dry sake with a touch of umami 😚 This is a dry sake that I recommend to everyone 🤗. I couldn't drink a whole bottle 😑 but I found myself emptying it 😆.

Tochigi Kenmin Kai 2024 Spring ⑥ After leaving 🤤Kurata-san's sanctuary after a fun-filled night of drinking and eating, we wandered around in search of an after-party venue and found a sign that said "open until 7am"😙When we wandered around, we found a restaurant called "Wonder Land Issen of Gastronomy" ‼️🤗. We were 7 people in total, including Tsubu-chan, Beta Alanin, Higu & Nanoha from the overnight group 🏨, and Ars & J&N from the Utsunomiya group 😆. We had the following 4 bottles here - Tanaka Rokugo Nama: Long time no see, Mr. Tanaka! - Asahi Ei Junmai Ginjo: This was the first time for Nobby to drink this! It's a very sharp and clear sake! - Ura-Gasanryu Koka: It was easy to drink and refreshing! - Sawahime Junmai Ginjo: The last sake of the day was Tochigi sake! Dry sake for a meal, I think it was a good choice 😊. I don't remember the details of the taste or what we talked about 😅 but looking at the pictures we took before we all broke up, there is no doubt that we had a great time 😊. This is the end of the J&N's Tochigi citizens meeting report 😌As everyone who attended said, it just ended and we're already looking forward to the next one 🥹. We all love Tochigi together 🥰.

Tochigi Prefectural Association 2024 Spring 5 A bottle brought out by a teacher from the holy place Kurata 😊We were delighted! It was a re-finished kijo-zake made with more kijo-zake 🥹It was like a secret sake! I had a little bit of it and it was delicious with a hidden acidity in the rich sweetness 😋Tabun And as I'm sure many of you have already seen, Tsubu-chan has already uploaded a picture of Nanoha's handmade happi coat ‼️ which we named "Nanoha's happi" 😆 Isn't it amazing 😳? She showed us her handwriting skills when she participated in the first Kenmin-kai, but this was handwritten, too amazing 🥹. The names of Tochigi Prefecture's famous sake are written in one stroke without any drafts, and the snowman is also written in a cute way 🤗. I'm planning to sell this with J&N trainers as a bundle 💸. We also had a variety of other drinks, but I can't write them all down, so here's a summary of my impressions! Everything was delicious 😚. At this point, we parted ways with Mr. Posuke, Mr. Yukigetsu Hana Hoshi, Mr. Piro, and Mr. Kotori, and the rest of the members headed to the after-party 😄.

Tochigi Prefectural Association 2024 Spring 4 This day's special ‼️ The power of all of you overflowing with Tochigi love🥰 gets stronger with each successive Prefectural Meeting, and the accumulated love ❤️ brought about one🥹. Yes, it's "brew" 🤗. This one must be divided equally among the 11 of us, no matter what the size! The teacher even went to the trouble of bringing a scale 😆. Nobby, who was assigned to pour the sake into the cups with trembling hands 😊Then, when it came to me, I had to resist the temptation to accidentally slip and pour more into my own cup 🙄 I had to be careful as I passed the sake around 😐. After the nervous spinning was finished, we all enjoyed it together 🥂. Yes, this is ‼️ delicate and rich, yet complex and simple😊. I'm afraid I'm the only one to describe it 😅[Yamadanishiki], [Kamenoo] and [Omachi] are all mixed together to create a wonderful taste like a fusion of Kenmin-kai 🥹. Can you feel it...in short...it's really good 😋! It was a memorable drink 😌. Extra As I mentioned before, below right is the list of recommendations after the post of the Kenmin-kai! I guess my love for Tochigi got the better of me 😳 Kashiwamori and Juichi-Masamune are the only ones I haven't tried yet 😆. Great job Tochigi love 🥰!

Tochigi Kenmin-kai 2024 Spring 3) Kotori-san brought this bottle after seeing the sake history of Tochigi Kenmin-kai members and knowing that Tokushima Prefecture was not yet filled by any member 🤗. When he brought it in, he was worried about whether it would be okay because it was high in alcohol content and dry, but his fears were unfounded and it was a big hit with everyone 😚. It has a full-bodied flavor and a hint of sweetness that makes it hard to believe it's dry, yet it's very easy to drink 🤤It's a dangerous sake if you don't know it's 18 degrees ⚠️ I'm not sure if it's a good idea to have a drink that's not too dry, but it's a good idea to have a drink that's not too dry! I was excited for a moment that Tokyo and Tokushima were filled at once, but then I looked closer and saw that Miyazaki was still there 😅Good luck with one more 👋 We were also happy to get the second round of Tokushima sake, which wasn't filled 👍. Tochigi Kenmin-kai 2024 Spring 2 Nobby, a spy of Sake-no-wa 🕵️, sniffed out that only Piro-san was drinking among the Tochigi Kenmin-kai members 😎 so he got it at Isetan Shinjuku and brought it here for everyone to drink 🤗. We were attracted by the word "limited edition" 😅I picked it up right away because it was the only one we could find 😊. As we were looking at the other sakes in front of the fridge while holding it, the clerk kindly put it in our shopping cart and said, "I'll bring it here for you." ☺️ is ⁉️ how they put it on the side 😳I can't imagine this happening in a liquor store 😰. I'm going to love this one! This one is a blend of "Arashibari" and "Yomei" parts...something we did the other day 🤔. The sweetness and flavor spread in your mouth, and then it quickly faded away 😊It was a delicious bottle that was easy to drink with a sharp taste. It was well received by everyone on the day and I was happy to be able to contribute to filling up the map 😊but I think I was the first to say "This is delicious! I think I might have said it the most😅. I have another bottle of Yamoru waiting in the fridge, so I'm looking forward to that one too 😚. More to come on the Kenmin-kai report 👋

First Tochigi Residents' Meeting of 2024: ‼️ First of all, we had a small gathering of 11 Tochigi Prefecture residents 🤗. YasuSake was not able to join us this time due to a flu infection right before the meeting 🥲, but Snow Moon and Flower Star joined us 😊Almost all the members living in Tochigi are here! The place was the usual sacred place Kurata-san ❗️, so we toasted with Tochigi sake from Chuai-san 🥳. Sharp, sweet and tasty, perfect for a toast 😋! And this toast! Actually, it was the last one for one of the participants 🤭We're waiting for you to come up 😁. The first Kenmin-kai in about 5 months was a non-stop talk & drink with a seat change in between 😆 Everyone had a smile on their face and it was a relief to be back. ☺️ There were several drinks brought in, special drinks from the restaurant, and even a surprise 😳... It was a fun time 😚 It lasted about 4 hours. We had a great time 😚 We stayed for about 4 hours and the price was a stable 5,000 yen! And then to the second party 🥳! Tochigi Prefecture and Utsunomiya City have been featured on TV a lot lately! We hope to make it more exciting at the Kenmin Kai👍. We were thinking 😓 that it's not good that we haven't had it even though we are locals, but we got a limited edition sake [Junmai Ginjo Ivory Label Honkai Origarami] which is made to order 👍. The snack of the day was the second game of the MLB⚾ season 🤗. We were cheering for Yamamoto, the Dodgers starter 📣 He'll get the game going fast, so we'll drink slowly today to get a perfect start and finish the game! We made a pledge to drink slowly today as soon as the play ball was played. I'm looking forward to the soft and soothing taste of ☺️ like "spring sunshine"! Yeah, eh! This is just right 😍slightly sweet with just the right amount of umami that goes down smoothly 🤗It's like an all-purpose food sake! On the other hand, Yamamoto-kun unexpectedly gave up 5 runs in the first inning 😢...well, he'll have to go back to the US and get back on track 😤. After that, the game got longer due to the slugfest and we also gave up after 5 innings 😅We have a big event coming up this weekend, so we closed the game with a cup of tea 🍵....... Oya Dodgers⚾️ finally the season opener! We also went for a 6km walk in the morning to cheer for the Dodgers 💦. And we're ready to watch the game with Lawson's Pizza 🍕 which was the best pizza on TV for this day and Lawhor which Manachie-san had brought up 🤗. Abe to open it 🩷. Play ball ⚾ is after 7pm, but our abe open is at 6pm😄. Then I'll make love to you Yes, it smells sweet 😌. One bite and it's juicy and sweet tapping into the sweetness! I thought it might be too sweet 😅 then a refreshing sourness comes in, and then a bitter taste to finish it off: ☺️ It might be the sweetest Abbe I've ever had... but it's still delicious 😋. I was watching the pre-game video and wondering if Otani would hit the ball! I was thinking "I'm more worried about Darvish getting hit than whether Otani will get hit! I'm more worried about Darvish getting hit than whether Otani will hit! Oh no! I put the lid on the Abe and chugged down some Sandeshi that my sister gave me to save the alcohol. I've had Kanji no Sei before, but Hizirizm is a bottle I've been wanting to drink for a long time ‼️. I stocked up on it when I went to a liquor store in Sano a while back 🤗. I had stocked up on it during a trip to a liquor store in Sano a while back 🤗! Stylish and cool appearance 🤩. I'll make love to you in a Riedel glass Sweet aroma 😌. The first sip is fruity, with a hint of green apple🍏 feeling, and it goes down smoothly in a gentle sip 😋. But it's not as gassy and sour as I thought it would be, or as the description in the store says 🤔It's sweetness is gradually getting the better of me...but I think it will be just fine with the gratin that was my entrée this evening 😁. I finished it before I knew it, but I felt like I wanted something more impact 🤔. By the way, last weekend, we drove to Ichikawa where Jay father lives for the first time in a while. After that, we headed to Shinjuku Isetan! I got a noobie tip that the liquor store here sells Yamori, so I braved it out 🤗. I found the Yamori I was looking for and got two kinds of Yamori and Ippo-self light nigori 👍Then I enjoyed Chinese food & beer at lunch 😄Beer in the daytime is always good 🥹.
