And last but not least, Niigata, a rice-producing region... 😆 First time to drink this brand! The name "Yobitomo" is also a good name to call friends 🤗. This sake also has a good overall balance and a taste like a deeper version of Mimuro Sugi, which is also on my favorite list. I realized later that this sake is made by Asahi Shuzo, the same company that makes Kubota. ★★★★

Let's go to Fukushima next time 😀. Tobiroki ❕🥰, a typical sake from Fukushima, a rice-producing region. It's a special junmai sake just like the first one. I've had a different sake from Tobiroki before, but it's just so well-balanced 🤩. It is a very tasty sake with depth of flavor, not too sweet or acidic, but not too sweet or too acidic, but not too sweet or too acidic, but not too acidic or too acidic. It is a very tasty sake with depth of flavor 😋. I can see why it's so popular no matter how many times I drink it. ★★★★★

My wife and I are in a traveling mood 🤭 for a drink outside since we don't plan to go anywhere for GW. First up was a dry Mie Mimuro Sugi. It is a great food sake that goes well with food because of the carefully brewed rice flavor and the crisp dryness with a hint of sourness. ★★★★

I went back to my previous post and read that I didn't like it because it was too sweet 🙄 I opened the bottle without much expectation 😬. I opened the bottle without much expectation 😬. I dare to drink it cold with the intention of pressing down the sweetness 🤭. The first sip is surprisingly good ❕ 😀 The sweetness is subdued because it's chilled. After the second sip, the sweetness still prevails and it's not my favorite 😓. Maybe it's better to drink it by itself rather than as a food wine. I did finish the four-pack, though 🤣. I'm not sure if I like it or not.

I have been fishing for a long time. One tenya for sea bream, but I only caught 9 snapper. 😭⤵⤵. But when I processed them, I found that they had a firm fatty flesh, and I might have been glad that the result was better than sea bream at this time of the year 🤗. I'm not a sore loser by any means 🤣. I had sashimi, hot-broiled pine bark sashimi, and grilled sea bream 🤓. The sashimi has a sticky fat taste, the yuzumo matsubikazukuri is nice and refreshing, and the shioyaki is so full of flavor that it soaks up the fat and is fluffy and delicious 😋. To go with this dish was Kariho no Haru kawasemi light nigori (light nigori). As you can see from the slightly elegant sweet aroma, it is a spring sake with a gentle sweetness and a fresh taste with a clean aftertaste that goes well with sashimi. I drank it last year, but all of Kariho's kawasemi series are delicious 🤩. ★★★★★

Good evening, Mr. Kuri the woodsman! It's great to have a drink with fish you caught yourself. ⤴️ I haven't had Kariho yet, but it's a quintessential Akita sake and looks perfect with sashimi 🤤. I'd like to try the Kingfisher series if I come across it 😋.

I bought some sake ❕🥰 when I went to Niigata for skiing ⛷️ and let it sit in the fridge. Careful opening the bottle 🤭 as it is an active nigori sake. Great lees and active shuwagashi ❕. The lees like doburoku and the carbonation-like gassiness make me expect this to be delicious 🙄. Cheers! It's not so much sweet as it is full of rice flavor, and it's a Calpis soda for adults ❕😀 😀. The astringency of the lees and the active bubbles give it a nice sharpness while holding down the sweetness. Not dry like a food sake, but a delicious sake that you can keep drinking on its own 😋🤓. ★★★★☆

I was rifling through the fridge looking for something to drink to get ready for work tomorrow, when I found a delicious sake that I got the other day and decided to have it with sashimi 😀 I like Koikawa and have had a lot of them, but this was my first time drinking this brand 🔰. I like Koikawa and have had a lot of it, but this is the first time I've had this brand 🔰. Pouring it into the glass with great anticipation, the sweet aroma spreads! On the palate, it's a dry sake with an elegant La France-like sweetness mixed with a dry white wine-like astringency ❕🥰. This can be drunk with a variety of dishes, not just sashimi. Well balanced and delicious❕😋😋. Although it is dry, I am sure that even those who like sweet and juicy sake will think it is delicious 🤗. ★★★★★

We've been waiting ❕😀 😀 The annual ISARIBI Nama Sake is now on tap 😍. Today I went all the way to Kakugami fresh fish market to buy delicious sashimi for drinking ISARIBI, and bought some spring-like seared Spanish mackerel and fresh fatty horse mackerel. I had actually been saving the fish I caught with the intention of drinking it, but I haven't had a chance to go fishing 😱... Now, open the bottle with a little pshhhhhh sound! The elegant sweetness and tartness like an apple full of honey spreads all over the mouth 😋. The tangy taste of the sake goes perfectly with sashimi 😃✌. Named after the fishing fire of the squid fishery, it is the perfect sake to accompany fish dishes 🤭🤭. ★★★★★

This one is highly appreciated by women 🤩. It has a fruity aroma that reminds me of spring, and the mouthfeel is light and sweet with a sweet flavor, but as expected of Hachisen, it has a crisp and sharp taste 😀. After this, we drank a lot of sake, including a special junmai sake from Tasake and a heated sake from Hitakami, so I forgot to record it! I forgot to record the amount of sake we drank afterwards 🤣. I think the 6 of us must have finished about 2 bottles of sake! Well, they drink a lot! Including me 🤭. ★★★★☆

I saw this sake for the first time at a sake lovers' gathering. It's from Hinomaru Brewing, the same company that brewed Mansaku no Hana, and it's a super dry sake. The aroma is super dry, but the flavor is still present, and the crispness and depth of flavor were very well received. ★★★★

Found Kubota at a liquor store 🙄. I have been wanting to try it for a while and bought some ❕😀. As soon as I opened the bottle, the sweet aroma spread. It's not fruity but sweetness of rice, just like I imagined Niigata sake 😋. The sweetness spreads in the mouth at first, but it goes in smoothly and easily. It was perfect with the sashimi and sushi we bought, and is a well-balanced sake that is better as a mealtime sake than as a stand-alone sake 🤩. ★★★★☆

I took it out of the back of the fridge and opened it on ☃️, probably the last day of the year. The sake rice is my favorite Yamada-Nishiki! The balance between the tangy mouthfeel and sweetness of the raw sake is perfect. 🤩 It was gone in no time. ★★★★★

I'm going to open a bottle of Tsururei that I bought remembering the time of ⛷️ in Niigata. We went one day skiing ⛷️ in the middle of the week too, so it's a good night's sleep party. 😉 ... Niigata's sake is always good 😋. I guess good sake is always good! So let's tear open the special newspaper and open the bottle 🤩! It is a clean, refreshing sake with little aroma or sweetness, probably because it is junmai (pure rice). It is well-balanced, has no corners, and comes in easily. It is a perfect image of Niigata's sake. ★★★★

The last of the Koigawa drinking comparison is Dewanosato🤩, which is a beautiful bottle of sake. It has a clear impression different from the first light nigori 😀. I thought it would expand if I drank it warmed, but I couldn't wait and drank it cold 🤣. I think it has a little less depth than the other two bottles. The concept of Koikawa is basically junmai heated sake, so next time I'll wait and drink it heated properly. I guess it's the nature of drinkers that they can't wait even a short time in front of a bottle of sake 🤭. In no time at all, the five of us finished three bottles of sake in about two hours😅. ★★★☆☆☆☆

Now, the next one is the real life Nakadori Namaishuju 😬 in the preliminary forecast. Delicious 😋! It has a deep rice flavor and sharpness, but is completely smooth and mild without any harshness at all 😀. This is the ultimate food sake. It goes well with light sashimi and fugu nabe (blowfish stew) without getting in the way! ★★★★☆

This time we had a Koikawa drinking contest at a family gathering for fugu (blowfish) 🍶. What a luxurious lineup 🤩! We started with a light nigori sake from a pretty girl 😀. At first I thought it was a little sweet, but the lees gives it a nice bitter taste that I never get tired of drinking! It goes well with light fugu sashimi 😋. Now let's see which sake is next 🤭. ★★★★☆

Well I found a great place to eat 😉. The yakitori is delicious and they have a good selection of sake to go with it 😀. Maybe my first sake from Tottori 🔰. As the name suggests, it's super dry, but you can taste the umami and sweetness of the rice. After that, you get a dry punch 👊 that makes you think this is sake ❕ 🥰. I like the taste. ★★★★☆

My first sake 🔰. Nigori sake from that Kikusui Shuzo It has a strong flavor and richness, but you will never get tired of drinking it. I found a great yakitori restaurant near my house... The sake and the yakitori are so good that I keep coming back! ★★★★☆

A gift from a friend🥰. I thought it would be sweet on the palate since it is a junmai daiginjo, but I liked the sake, which has the sweetness of rice but a clean and crisp aftertaste.
