Abukuma Honjozo
15% koji 65% kake 70% 1.8 liters 1980 yen
I bought a bottle when I went to Fukushima.
It is very sweet. It is sticky and clings to the tongue unpleasantly. It has a strong alteness. I'd rather drink it hot than lukewarm.
Abukuma has a good image, but I would have had a better impression of this brewery if the honjozo was good. I searched for it and found it at a reasonable price of 1980 yen for a bottle! The sake degree is plus 1, so the taste is quite sweet, but if I had taken the price into account, I might have given it a higher rating.

I personally like "Abukuma" no matter what I drink, and this one was no exception.
It has the gorgeous and fruity flavor that is typical of Abukuma, but it is not too harsh and goes down smoothly.
I paired it with white wine stewed chicken thighs, and it was perfect!
Junmai Ginjo from Abukuma.
It was dry and crisp with good flavor and texture. It tasted different from what I imagined. Whew😅
