Now for the heated sake!
So the second glass of sake at Miho's Heated Sake is from our first brewery, Maruo Honten's Etsukaijin!
This time it's Akaban Omachi!
Let's start with the aroma!
First, the aroma. It has a nice aroma of rice!
When you put it in your mouth, the aroma of rice is good from the gentle umami flavor.
The lingering bitterness is also nice.
The acidity also makes it an easy to drink, refreshing heated sake.
Since I'm in Kagawa, I'm going to have some local sake.
I made a note in my past memorandum that the sake was pretty good, so I went with this one.
As a result, it was very tasty!
Pink Label
Light and refreshing, more than "kinky".
You may taste more flavor when it is near room temperature.
Akaban Omachi Kumamoto Kumamoto Kugou 60% 15-16
Finish up with a hard-to-drink swallow stone 😚.
First, check the aroma, it's gorgeous, as if concentrated and full of flavor: ✨️
When you drink it, the concentrated flavor of the rice fills your mouth. ‼️
The rice is highly polished to a 35% ratio, yet it has the strength and power of a Kaijin sake.
It is not only light and refreshing, but also has a sharp and firm acidity that tightens the umami, creating a good balance of sweetness, umami, and acidity, all of which can be clearly felt.
I want to drink it slowly during the New Year's holiday!
Etsukaijin Tono Kame-no-o Yamahai Unfiltered Nama
When I poured it into a glass, thinking that it would have a classic heavy-boned and massive taste because it is an old sake, the unique, massive and complex aroma of old sake spread quickly throughout my nose 😳.
The taste is as I imagined it would be, a strong rice flavor...
It has a complex flavor like smoked fish, like natto, but it has a nice sharpness, and once you get used to it, you won't even notice the strong habit... or maybe you won't 🙄 ....
I heard it is recommended to be heated, so I will use Tanukichi to heat it up after a long time ⓿ᴥ⓿.
The aroma changed to a mellow flavor and turned into a sake that makes me want to eat oden😳
The sip of this sake has a tongue-tightening acidity, and the alcohol comes with a kick and a thud, just like a heavy-boned, heavy-duty sake should 😋.
The spiky corners have been removed so that it can be drunk roundly and softly. ☺️
It matched with Oden best 🍢.
Also changed the display in the back 😌.
Hi, Afuio 😃.
As the mornings and evenings get colder, heated sake 🍶 is better 😊Etsukaijin! We only drink outside 🥲 but it would go perfectly with oden🍢: ‼️
Hi Jay & Nobby, ☺️
I'm sure the cold weather makes you long for heated sake 🥰.
I've tried Etsukaijin, which is rarely available, cold and hot, and the hot sake was wonderful 😋.
It was also great with oden.
The event started in the evening and I was getting a little hungry by now 😋.
We decided to drink a glass of Sanju Yumachi from Etsukaijin to go with the soba noodles sold at the kitchen car.
Yumachi suggests strength and mellow flavor. ‼️
As I expected, I was surprised by its overwhelmingly thick flavor 😳.
The rich rice flavor spreads powerfully across the palate and is mellow, yet the finish is crisp and dry 😍.
Well, I can't drink enough of this...
