Last year, when the brewer came to Takashimaya for a tasting and sale, I drove an hour and a half all the way by bicycle to buy a bottle. I haven't ridden a bicycle to Namba since I was in junior high school. It was relatively warm that day and easy to move around, but it also made me realize that even at my age, I can do it if I try.

It is indeed slightly cloudy. Perhaps it was because it was served in a silver cup, but it was beautiful with sparkling particles of nigori.
The sake is clear and easy to drink, but has a rich and thick taste. Delicious!

This is a new sake from Eiheiji Hakuryu, a first-time brand. To be honest, I had been avoiding Hakuryu because I felt its dragon picture was too much of a target, but I couldn't resist the label.
The aroma is subdued, but the sweetness of the rice can be felt. There is a bit of a tangy sweetness, like banana or tropical fruits. I would have preferred a little more acidity.
