At an izakaya in Kyoto.
It is indeed slightly cloudy. Perhaps it was because it was served in a silver cup, but it was beautiful with sparkling particles of nigori.
The sake is clear and easy to drink, but has a rich and thick taste. Delicious!
This is a new sake from Eiheiji Hakuryu, a first-time brand. To be honest, I had been avoiding Hakuryu because I felt its dragon picture was too much of a target, but I couldn't resist the label.
The aroma is subdued, but the sweetness of the rice can be felt. There is a bit of a tangy sweetness, like banana or tropical fruits. I would have preferred a little more acidity.
★★★
The aroma is there, and it's sweet.
I thought it was sweet,
I thought it was sweet...but the label said...slightly dry!
I'm not sure about the concept of dry and my palate lol
Whatever the case may be,
The price was reasonable and it was delicious 🍶.
The second drink was from KEG DRAFT and was from the Yoshida Sake Brewery in Fukui, which I had given up visiting on my trip to Fukui due to time constraints 😁.
On the way to the brewery, I found a store that had Tsuneyama dry sake, but it was open at night, so I had to take my revenge and try the Fukui sake.
It was described as slightly dry, not light, but a delicious sake 😘.
The third one is the start sake at Tenma 😁.
