I got this on a trip to Fukui. As I was swinging on the local train, Echizen Railway, I suddenly came to a station where a large number of people were getting on and off. What's going on? I wondered what was going on, but it seemed to be the nearest station to the Yoshida Sake Brewery. It must be very popular. The combination of Fukui's specialty "heshiko" and sake was a no-brainer! I was completely hooked!
It was about 1,200 yen for a four-pack at a nearby Kakuyasu.
As soon as the bottle was opened, it had a gorgeous apple aroma.
And the mouthfeel is light and mellow.
It is right in the middle of my taste.
There was also a higher grade junmai ginjo, so next time I will try that one. ‼️
Trip to Fukui 🚅.
It would be helpful to have a drink comparison...
Just 2 weeks old sake...
All I can say is that it was all delicious,
I don't remember.......
The aroma is fruity and gentle.
The freshness of the bubbles is accompanied by a sourness and umami that gradually flows into the palate, and finishes with a light bitterness.
The taste is refreshing without any peculiarities, and goes well with meals.
The manager left this one for me too.
I checked at Sake-no-Wa and found that I had had it here once two years ago!
I've had Hakuryu at Fukurokuju and other Torin no Ie.
It's more spread out in the mouth than I thought it would be!
Delicious 🤤.
Ramen for the end, we'll have a few more drinks after this and then head home.
And dessert is included.
