This is a junmai ginjo-shu from Shikara. It has a fruity aroma more subtle than that of junmai sake, and the taste is mellow and refreshing on the palate with the delicious flavor of rice.

This was my first encounter with Hakuryu's [Shikara]...so I bought two bottles, a Junmai-shu and a Junmai-Ginjo-shu.
We started with the junmai sake 🤗.
After a slight bitterness and sourness in the mouth, a sharp, slightly dry taste and the umami of rice spread out.

I bought this sake on a trip to Fukui to visit the Hakuryu brewery. It has a pear-like fruity aroma, but it is refreshing and delicious.
The sake we were allowed to drink during the tour was also delicious, and the location of the brewery was a very pleasant place surrounded by nature.
Great tasting on the terrace!

It is a simple sake that is light, mild and easy to drink, but you will never get tired of drinking it. 🙆♂️
It went well with the shime saba (mackerel) that I served with the entrée.

It's fun to drink at someone's house because it's different from the drinks I usually encounter! ☺︎
The spiciness comes when you drink it, but it has a clean aftertaste. I got the impression that it was easy to pair with meals.
I drank another different sake, so I'll post it next!
