The bitterness comes at first, then the sweetness comes later.
It goes well with blue cheese.
My husband loved this sake 😊.

Here's a short break from Nagano travel stories 🎌.
This is a bottle of Kawaguchi Natto that I had wanted to try before my Nagano trip. ‼️ I knew it was sold at the Megada Sake Shop, but I finally got to see the actual bottle 🤗.
I've been wanting to make love to you for a while now, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to do so 😅.

The aroma doesn't smell like natto 😊.
I'm not sure if it will pull strings 😆 I'll try it afterwards.
It didn't pull the strings 😆 but the lingering deliciousness made it easy to drink even at 17 degrees 😇
Now back to ⌛️ the week after the Nagano expedition!
The weekend before last, the weather was nice so we went for a 7km walk 💦 to Utsunomiya station instead of the usual forest 🌳 on ☀️ Saturday afternoon.
We enjoyed a quick gyoza🥟 & beer🍺 at our favorite restaurant, Karan, followed by a rare sweet🧁 & coffee☕ and a healthy bus🚌 ride home😌.
And just when I was about to finish...
I was about to finish with 🤔I think it's about time❓Yes! I realized that J&N has entered its 5th year after 4 full years 🤗.
It's not Tochigi sake, which is unusual for an anniversary celebration 😅I will continue to try to be as persistent as natto and as helpful to everyone as natto bacteria 😅🙇🏻🙇🏻♀️

A lot has happened since we had the Yamasan Spark on 10/1 😅I took two whole weeks off from sake 🍶 😑.
One of the reasons is that my daughter and Nobby had a weekend date!
Jay, on the other hand, dropped Nobby off at Utsunomiya station and decided to hit the liquor stores near the station 🚙.
We went to two liquor stores that seemed to sell "Kawaguchi Natto" and Ohna-san's "Sharakuchi Gokonna" ‼️ right after they opened and got them safely 👍A few other bottles as well! The third picture is the result of this day🤗.
After that, we both got sick 😓and although I still haven't recovered completely 🥲, I'm feeling much better now, so we decided to disinfect with alcohol after a long time 😇.
Then we chose "Akatombo" by Senkou from Tochigi sake ‼️ and it was the first time we drank at home in about 3 years😅.

The aroma smells like alcohol, probably because it's been a long time since I've had it.
I take a sip and ahhh, it's been a while since I've had this taste 🥹 but I kind of feel the bitterness in the second half... J&N🫥 that I feel the exact same bitter taste from the alu smell
In fact, when we drank beer 🍺 at rehearsal the day before, we both felt it was more bitter than usual 🤔If I can't drink like this 😱.
But don't worry 😌we got back on track after the second glass 😊and were able to get back on track in an instant 😙.

I got it when I saw Tsubu-chan advocate "6/9 is Okuroku's day ‼️" 🤗.
But we couldn't open the bottle on Monday after drinking too much on the weekend 😓😢we opened it late when we got settled 🤗.
The rice used for this sake is "Ginga" from Iwate Prefecture, which is new to me, but it reminded me of "Gingaman" which my parents used to watch on TV when my daughter was little because it was a Sentai Hero movie 😁.
The actor who played Blue was Teruhide 😌 anyone know him?

I'm going to take a sip...it's THE refreshing taste, and just like the aroma, the alcohol feeling comes first! My first impression is that it is quite dry 😗.
But when I paired it with a meal, the sharp acidity of the sake and the umami of the rice came together in a nice salty way 😙 and when I realized it, it was gone 😋.
O'clock, you're good! ‼️The quality of the sake was quite different from the first bottle of Lotus, but this crescent was reasonably priced and just the right amount of dryness 🤗.
Speaking of o'clock 🧐 "o'clock" is an abbreviation of "of the clock" and is used to refer to exactly the right time ☝️
So it's just the right amount of dry 😇

The one that was chosen out of the three was not (5) or (7), but (6), which I have been wanting to drink for a long time 🤗.
At the cashier, the shopkeeper told us to drink it slowly because it was a bit hard, and we looked like we knew what we were talking about 😊... but we were drinking with sensitivity and had no knowledge of alcohol 😅 here's the conversation we had after we got home
Nobby: "What do you mean by hard?"
Jay: "It means it's not open."
Nobby: "What's not open?"
Jay: "You know, that thing! It's hard."

After dropping my son off at the station, I dropped by a liquor store and brought back this bottle! It's Miyamanishiki Chuai 🤗.

Not much of an aroma, I guess.
When I took a sip, Nobby felt the sweetness and Jay felt the bitterness 😗 but it felt kind of heavy🤔 so I drank only half and switched to the next bottle to change the taste ❗️
The next day we drank it in a pot and it had a deeper flavor 😊I know exactly what Maru meant when she drank it and said "I wish I could be someone like Chuai"!
By the way, the story of the second day in Nikko Kirifuri😊We saw the sun 🌅 at sunrise, refreshed ourselves in the morning bath, and went to the breakfast buffet! I had seafood bowl, mini ramen, curry, and ochazuke to top it all off, and ate so much I felt sick 🤭.
After that, we decided to go somewhere else! After that, we went to see the nearby Kirifuri Falls, and then drove 20 minutes to Osasa Ranch.
Those of you who live in the city will probably say, "Wow, this view is amazing!
We were so excited to see a pony 🫏 lying on its side and not moving that the tourists were saying, "Isn't it dead?

On this day, after lunch, we were basking in the afterglow of Yamamoto's great pitch and Erdman's HR⚾️ 😌 We had to walk, too! We walked 💦 and then went to the liquor store to restock our lonely fridge🚙.
While browsing the fridge, a bottle with an atmospheric appearance that made us think 🧐 that it might be a gem 🧐 caught our eye 😳 It was one we hadn't seen or heard of at all 😅 but we didn't hesitate to get it 👍.
But cooking dinner is also a hassle 😩, so I went to Asanoya for such a time! As long as I have that delicious sashimi, I don't need anything else 😌.
When I entered the store, they didn't have any 🥲 but they had some delicious looking bonito and squid😍 It was a bit expensive 😅 but I figured if it was for dinner, I'd buy two! I bought two...
We went home and started the party 🥳.
We're going to have a dinner at Yobitomo with a great atmosphere 🤗.
It's a limited edition sake from the Kubota brewery, until now only Junmai Daiginjo has been available, but this year Junmai Ginjo is now available year-round at a reasonable price 🧐.
