This month is my birthday month, so I'm going to have a little extravagant sake! So on Sunday from noon, we had Kudokibe from Kamenoi Shuzo! This time it was Jr. Shizuku! Jr. loves sake, but this is the first time he's had it with alcohol, so he was looking forward to it! Let's start with the sake! First, the aroma. It has a fruity aroma. When you put it in your mouth, the sweetness flows into your mouth with a very gentle taste, and it goes down smoothly. It is beautiful and easy to drink. This time it was an emerald bottle! I was told that Isojiman's Junmai Daiginjo was delicious when I first started working at Sake-no-wa, so I finally decided to try it! Let's have it right away! The first day First, the aroma. It has a fruity aroma. When you put it in your mouth, you will be impressed by its clean and refreshing taste. Not so much sweetness, but gentle bitterness, richness, and complexity. The second half has a slight umami taste. The overall impression is calm and clean. When paired with a meal, the umami is a little stronger, but the bitterness is also strong, making it more of a dry sake. The second day A little more fruity and sweet. The second day, the spiciness, minerality, and full-bodied flavor are well balanced and mixed together. The third and final drink at Maeda-Ya was another first for Seto Shuzo Brewery's Setoichi! This time it was time to go! It's been a while since I've had sake from Kanagawa Prefecture. So without further ado, let's have it! First, the aroma. Not much of an aroma. The first impression on the palate is umami and fruity. The full-bodied, complex flavor, with a hint of sweetness, is balanced wonderfully and delicious! The lingering aftertaste is a slight spiciness and minerality that spreads smoothly down the back of the throat. It was a delicious sake with a beautiful mouthfeel and a smooth taste. It was a very tiring week, but I had a good time with my wife, enjoyed good food and sake, and had a very good sake rush!
