［Returning to the "Home of the Heart" (2)
After leaving Fukuyama City, I headed to the neighboring city of Onomichi (🚃).
When I arrived at Onomichi Station and saw the Onomichi Waterway lined with shipbuilding docks and a ferry running to Mukojima, I knew I had returned home.
First, I checked into my regular inn and strolled around the city as usual, checking out what has changed and what has not, before heading to one of my destinations this time, Yoshigen Sake Brewery and Sake-no-Takashashi.
［Kigen Sake Brewery used to brew Onomichi's local sake "Onomichi", but they have stopped brewing it and "Senpuku" is now made by "Miyake Honten" instead.
We then went to Sake no Takahashi, right next to Kichigen Sake Brewery, where we were able to sample some of their brands for a fee.
Tenju Dry Junmai SHI.CHI.SEI
Aroma of shallow maturity, a firm umami and bitter sharpness, and a clean aftertaste!
Sake +15, this is a junmai sake that is designed to be drunk while gazing at the stars, and would go great with salty, spicy food ✨.
I've been drinking only Kozaemon Hiyoroshi, and it's been a long time since I've posted!
Well, what shall we start with today? I told him that Kozaemon hiyaoroshi was right in the middle of my taste.

The harmony of gorgeous aroma, light acidity and matured flavor is favorable. It has a good mouthfeel and goes with rather everything.

It's a boxed, high-end looking drink 🍶✨.
When you open the bottle, it smells sweet ☺️
The mouthfeel is refreshing, like water💧 slipping in.
I expected sweetness from the smell but contrary to what I expected, there is almost no sweetness 🤔.
I felt a subtle rice flavor 🌾, and when I thought it was becoming more pronounced, it brought a bitter taste to the finish, adding complexity to the flavor.
It was a pure rice daiginjo-style sake 🤗.
I'm going to say "sake lover" 😁.
