After leaving Fukuyama City, I headed to the neighboring city of Onomichi (🚃).
When I arrived at Onomichi Station and saw the Onomichi Waterway lined with shipbuilding docks and a ferry running to Mukojima, I knew I had returned home.
First, I checked into my regular inn and strolled around the city as usual, checking out what has changed and what has not, before heading to one of my destinations this time, Yoshigen Sake Brewery and Sake-no-Takashashi.
[Kigen Sake Brewery used to brew Onomichi's local sake "Onomichi", but they have stopped brewing it and "Senpuku" is now made by "Miyake Honten" instead.
We then went to Sake no Takahashi, right next to Kichigen Sake Brewery, where we were able to sample some of their brands for a fee.
