Keihan Department Store Moriguchi Sake Festival 8 First sake since Takarayama Brewery went bankrupt and was taken over by Takarayama Brewing Company. Autumn Hitsujikka (one fire) I think they call it hiyaoroshi. Gentle sweetness, good at room temperature or lukewarm. Takarajima Koshihikari sake I've had this one in the past. It is sweet but not as sweet as the sake degree, and has a complex flavor with a strong umami taste. Takarayama Shinnosuke Genshu This sake was recommended by Nemuchi. Sweet and delicious, a little messy and complex. Slightly unique flavor. Takarayama Junmai Ginjyo Genshu I was going to finish with only the above three, but I was curious about the sake degree of -21, so I tasted it. I was told that it was very sweet. This one uses Yamadanishiki instead of rice. The rich sweetness is like a dessert wine😋. The staff was also surprised when they tasted it. She looked like a clerk at a department store, not someone from the brewery, but someone who knew a lot about it. I wanted to visit the booth of a hobbyist liquor store owner, but I had other business to attend to 💦.

Keihan Moriguchi Sake Festival (7) Tenryo Sake Cup Booth #2 ●Sae Daiginjo They said it goes well with sushi. I heard that it is served at restaurants in Niigata for 1,000 yen per glass. I thought it was refreshing, light and dry like Niigata. It might be the most Niigata-like sake among the ones we drank this time 🤔. Daiginjo Premium Made with Koshitanrei. Pineapple aroma. Gentle, mild and luxurious taste. They used to use Hiroshima ginjo yeast, but it didn't work well with their yeast, so now they use Niigata yeast. Forgot to take a picture💦. Daiginjo Premium Nama Storage Sake Daiginjo-Premium is aged for 2 years. It still has the same pineapple flavor, but it has a more rounded and rounded taste. When we talked about Ouroboros, I was surprised to hear that the base sake was aged for 10 years. When the sales staff first tasted it, they were surprised at the taste, which was hard to believe that it was a kijoshu! Nemuchi-san bought two kinds of Tenryo Sake, but I decided to stick to one 😅. I think there are a lot of duplicates of what the salesman told me, so I have abbreviated the story, so please see Nemuchi's post for more details 😌. I also bought some Haniu walnuts, a famous confectionery in Fukui, because they are not available in Kansai 😊.

Keihan Department Store Moriguchi Sake Festival (6) Tenryo Sake Cup Booth #1 Niigata Furusato Village had a booth at the Hokuriku-Shinetsu Good Food Festival, which was separate from the Sake Festival, and Tenryohai's sales staff visited the booth! I heard that Tenryo Sake is delicious, so I came here! He seemed to know immediately that I was talking about you 😁. Man Junmai Ginjo Unfiltered It seems to be an unfiltered version of the Niigata Furusato Mura limited edition sake. He said it was a product with the playful spirit of a young brewer. It has a classic taste, but sweet and delicious. Prototype 2025 It seems to be a sake using Sado Kinzan yeast, which has not yet been given an official name. It is sweet and fresh like a Ramune 😋 A little like Gagakuyo? I think they said they only brought 60 bottles, but Nemuchi said 96 bottles, so does that mean only 60 bottles are available in Keihan? Dry sake Honjozo This is also a Furusato-mura limited product. I can suggest it is wrapped in a local newspaper 🤔. It has a strong, gassy taste. Like Nemuchi, I couldn't detect any gas 💦. They used to come to Hankyu and Hanshin for tasting and sales, but it seems the sales staff is too busy to come to Kansai 😥. I'm going to split it up since it doesn't seem to fit in 500 words😅

The owner said, "We have some Shinsei! Then we will drink it, right? So the third drink of the Sake Festival was Shinmasa by Shinmasa Shuzo! This time it was Sansho 2024! Let's have it right away! First, the aroma. Not much of an aroma. It is gorgeous on the palate. The refreshing acidity and sweetness that is not too sweet give it a unique feeling. Both acidity and sweetness are mild, giving the impression of good balance. It is a delicious sake that stimulates various senses and is beautiful and yet very drinkable, making you glad you drank it!

The second drink at the Keihan Department Store Moriguchi Sake Festival was Katsuma by Seito Shuzo Brewery. This time it was a Daiginjo. This is my first time to try Katsucoma's Daiginjo, so I am looking forward to it! Let's start with the first sip! First, the aroma. The aroma is not so strong. When you put it in your mouth, you will be impressed by the sweetness and bitterness and the beautiful mouthfeel. It is well-balanced with a touch of spiciness. It also has a delicious flavor that goes well with meals.

Today, I went to the sake festival held at Keihan Department Store Moriguchi first thing in the morning on information from Mr. Sakewa! I was drinking for about 2 hours while listening to the information from the shop staff. I was drinking for about 2 hours while listening to the information from the waitresses! So the first drink of the Sake Festival was Nishida Sake Brewery's Tasake! This time it was PREMIUM Akita Sake Komachi Junmai Ginjyo Yamahai Brewing! It was half price from the day the bottle was opened, and reasonably priced! Let's have it right away! First, the aroma. It has a fresh and fruity aroma. Sweetness in the mouth. It also has a full-bodied flavor. Compared to the special junmai from the other day, this sake has a very clean mouthfeel and is easy to drink.

Keihan Department Store Moriguchi Sake Festival (5) The main attraction of the event was that they had a little bit of pre-sake, so they had Katsuma and Shinmasa. Among them, there was a sake I've been curious about, so I ordered it! The price was announced as 1,100 yen for 50ml, but they said it would be 800 yen. They let me drink the sake I didn't order, and other customers got the set price for the sake they didn't order. I like their flexibility. 👍️ The taste is sweet and refreshing, but also very drinkable, probably because it is Yamahai. I think it is one of the sweetest Tasake. I don't know because I haven't had any recently. I wonder if the fact that it's Yamahai is also to my liking now 🤔. I know it sounds like I'm a meek person, but this was my favorite sake I had here!

Keihan Department Store Moriguchi Sake Festival ④ I didn't ask for it, but the booth staff kindly allowed me to taste it 🙏. I was surprised to hear a champagne-like sound when I started drinking the set and saw that this sake was open 😳 I didn't know it had such a strong gas! I think I drank it 6-7 years ago, but I don't remember the taste. It has a strong gassy taste. It's also very complex and sweet. They said the taste and gassiness changes every year 🙄. It's #6 yeast and it tastes bland, like new●.

Keihan Department Store Moriguchi Sake Festival (2) Sake only available at Tohoku Wakuwaku Marche. Sake from the Yamatogawa Sake Brewery in Fukushima. I almost mistook it for Iwate's Drunken Emon. I mean, I thought it was Drunkenemon until I saw the name of the brewery😅. Here is not "Yaemon" but "Yaumon". I thought it was "Yaumon" until I saw the name of the brewery 😅. I heard it's called "Yauemon". I have bought sake here before at Yamaya. It's a clear and sweet sake. It's less fresh than the Yaemon I drank before, but sweeter? I think it was the sweetest out of the 3 types I drank 🤔.

Keihan Department Store Moriguchi Sake Festival ①. I went to this event, which was held at the same time as the Hokuriku-Shinetsu Good Food Festival, after hearing a lot of information from Nemuchi, who participated on Thursday, the first day of the event 😁. Tohoku Wakuwaku Marche booth I visited there first because there was a sake I was interested in. There was no sake tasting, only sales, but I was told that I could drink sake sold at the adjacent sake bar corner, so I ordered a set of sake to compare. The first one was Kikumori, which I don't usually drink. It is unfiltered and unpasteurized, and the rice is Yunokou. Complex and caramel-like sweetness. I thought it would be more difficult to drink, but it was delicious 😋.

Hiro-san, when I saw Nemuchi-san saying nice Masamune, I wanted to say it too, and when I looked in the fridge, I noticed that there is Yamasan Masamune😍. I bought it when I went to Keihan Department Store with Nemuchi after the tasting! It's sweet but has a heavy mouthfeel. Maybe it's because it's blamed? The taste is a little complex. A little bit of a kick at the end. Even though it is sweet, you can feel the Sanin Sake character. Like the previous Yamasan Masamune, the sweetness is not heavy and reserved, even if the sake level is -1. My first nice Masamune👍.

Purchased at an event at Keihan Department Store. Koge2 had been drinking it before, and Nemuchi was very excited when she found it at the event. Junmai Daiginjyo single-stage brewing, which sounds like a weird specs 😁. Low alcohol 9% alcohol. Sweet and sour, fresh and rich. Tastes like eating a Ramune flavored popsicle or candy. I love this sweetness. If I drink other liquors after this one, everything feels thinner... It's a Tottori sake, but it's gut sweet!

Purchased after tasting it at an event at Keihan Department Store. Slightly refreshing with a mild ginjo aroma. Good sharpness in the aftertaste. The second half is quite pungent. And..., what I mentioned in my last post when I tasted it. After buying this sake, I was searching for sake-no-wa and noticed that it used to be labeled with the manufacturer, but now it is labeled with the seller and the unique symbol for the place of manufacture. There are multiple alphabets for the manufacturing site specific symbol, and a search of the Consumer Affairs Agency's database of manufacturing site specific symbols reveals the following K Fushimi no Tomiyo (Kyoto) C Naru-no-Sake (Nara) H Sake is Kuromatsu XX (Hyogo) T. A certain brewery in Gifu (where the toji from the southern part of Japan transferred to) It turns out that the sake is produced in at least four places in Japan. In short, it seems that they do not brew their own sake. By the way, the one we drank this time was C. According to some sources, the brewery was damaged by a typhoon a few years ago and they can no longer brew. In fact, when I checked the street view, I found that a part of the warehouse site was sold and an apartment building was built... I just learned a sad fact 😢. I thought it was weird because I haven't seen it lately. It's sad because I used to enjoy drinking Shiboritate and Jundai's fragrant sweet sake...

Good morning. I used to drink a small bottle of this brewery's honjozo when I went to Wakayama, but the year before last, when I bought a 4-goupe bottle at Hankyu, it was a little different. I don't know if the contents are different depending on the size, or if it has changed since it was consigned...

Keihan Department Store Sake Festival Last but not least, Kita-ya! This was the only place where no one from the brewery was present, so it was handled by a mannequin! I wonder if the brewer couldn't make it because he said he was called suddenly. The mannequin was so pushy that I almost don't remember the contents of the drinks 🤣. What we drank was Junmai Daiginjo I knew this was good because I've had it outside in the past. This time, too, it was consistently delicious! Junmai Ginjo Gin no Sato Fruity and good value for money! Special Junmai 60% Yume Issen I think it was delicious. Junmai sake I don't know. Leave as if you were running away💨 We were told by a liquor store in Korien that the brewer of skunk cabbage is here, do you want to go? but it's raining and we don't have an umbrella, and it's too far to go home if we drink any more, so we call it a night 🙄.

Keihan Department Store Japanese Sake Festival (15) I have an image of Sekaiichi-Tsumari as a major brewery in Wakayama, but I guess they are not as well known in the south as Kido and Kurogyu... I have not seen them at liquor stores recently, and there were many points of concern, such as the lonely lineup of only three kinds of sake this time. I drank Super-harsh Junmai Sake It is indeed super-harsh at +15, but there is a hint of sweetness, so it's not really very spicy. Junmai Ginjo A little refreshing, but with a hint of sweetness and gorgeousness. It was quite good. Kishu Gojumangoku Honjozo Dry Quite classic, but gentler than super-spicy. I bought a Junmai Ginjo that was nice. I noticed something the other day when I was looking at a post from Minamikata at Sake-no-wa. I'll get to that later...

Keihan Department Store Sake Festival ⑭ I don't mean to be rude, but Kikusui Sake Brewery has only the image of a funaguchi, and the sales staff were wearing aloha shirts with a funaguchi pattern! I thought it was cute, but it seemed to be designed by a famous designer and the price was expensive. I heard it was already sold out😳. We drank Nama-nihon-shu, freshly squeezed from the bottle It looks like this is the one bottled with funaguchi. Kikusui Junmai Daiginjo Kikusui is made from Kikusui sake rice. The father was Omachi, the son was Gohyakumangoku, and the grandson was Koshitanrei. It is said that the rice was not developed by the Kikusui Brewery, as it just happened to have the same name. I wonder if Kikusui is the one who revived it. Aromatic and slightly spicy. Junmai Daiginjo-genshu This class is delicious no matter what you drink. Fruity, like apples. Kuramitsu The rice polishing ratio is 23%. Clean, high-grade water. Mukan no Tei Ginjo Nama-zume Clear and a little floral. This is also often seen. Ryoufu A new product for summer. It uses malic acid yeast, so it's sweet and sour, but a little strong in alcohol. It was a candidate for purchase 🤔. I'm glad I could drink a variety of non-funaguchi ones 😋.

Keihan Department Store Sake Festival ⑬ Shirobotan, a sake with many of my personal favorite flavors. I drank Junmai Daiginjo with Reiwa No.1 yeast As fruity and easy to drink as when we drank it before. Junmai Daiginjo Yusei Calm, fruity and refreshing. The label is of Itsukushima Shrine. Junmai Ginjo Nakakumi As before, gorgeous, clean, and fruity. Hachitan Ginjo Nakakumi It is said to be very dry, but perhaps because it is dry from a sweet brewery, it does not feel that dry and is easy to drink. Hiroshima Hachitan Junmai Daiginjo Genshu Gorgeous, but it's a summer sake, so it's refreshing. Junmai Ginjo Koihana Made with white malted rice. It was sweet and sour and delicious. Junmai Ginjo Slightly sweet, umami-guchi sake. The taste is good for a standard-class sake. Daiginjo Gorgeous and slightly spicy, but not at the +7 sake strength. Junmai Daiginjo Genshu Gorgeous, fruity, and sweet. Of course it's delicious! Yamadanishiki Junmai Sake Forgot to take a picture. I forgot I even drank it 🤣. I keep saying something fruity 🤣. We talked about the movie collaboration sake starring Rina Kawaei and the frozen sake. They told me where to find frozen sake but it was from a completely different brewery😅. You can't find Shirobotan outside of department stores, but there are some liquor stores that can stock it through wholesalers.

Keihan Department Store Japanese Sake Festival ⑫ Tochigi Ai at the Tasting (2) Sawa Hime was personally positioned as the main dish of this event. Mr. Touji was there! We drank Special Junmai Gohyakumangoku Strong umami and a little fruitiness Junmai Ginjo Hitogokochi Refreshing aroma and gentle sweetness. This is the most well-balanced. Junmai Tochigi Sake 14 I have had a draft sake before, and the impression of a strong and sweet sake is almost the same. Yamahai Junmai Hitogokochi It says "wild," but I couldn't really tell. I think it's wilder than nama-hashiwado. Yamahai is juicy and bursting with flavor. Junmai Gold It's sweet but has a strong sense of maturity. It is like Shaoxing sake. It seems to go well with Japanese sweets. It tastes like a typical matured sake, so the level of perversity is probably low. When I told him how hard it was to open the nigori I drank at New Year's, he asked me if I bought it at Ikoma-san. I was asked if I bought it at Ikoma-san. Maybe they don't wholesale to other liquor stores in Kansai? Other liquor stores said they only get orders from time to time. I am looking forward to the new shipment of the Jun, Jungin, and Yamahai versions of Nama-Harakai sake from Icoma.

Keihan Department Store Japanese Sake Festival (11) Kaygetsu, the sake brewer who drank Yamahai at Hanshin. A sales person who is often seen at department stores was there. I drank the following Sake Nature2022 Junmai Daiginjo I always thought it was a black mysterious Kaygetsu. He said it is a sake made from organically fertilized rice. It has a sweet aroma and a sweet taste. It is a deep sake with a three-dimensional taste or depth. Gin-no-mu Junmai Daiginjo 45 Fruity, refreshing and slightly dry. Gin-no-Mu Junmai-Ginjo Summer Nama-Shu It seems sweet, but perhaps because it is a summer sake, it is very refreshing. I think I mentioned the Hanshin Kochi event here.
