I spent a relaxing day at home today. Yesterday we drank outside, so today is the continuation of Sakusama's drinking contest! So, today we were drinking SAKUSAI by Shimizu Seizaburo Shoten! This time it was Kami no Ho! I had been looking forward to this comparison since the last time I drank Kami no Ho before I started my own sake brewery! So without further ado, let's enjoy the sake! The first day First, the aroma. It has a refreshing citrus aroma. In the mouth, you can taste sweetness, but also a low-irritant soft bitterness and a complex flavor like richness. Compared to Aizan, it gives a refreshing impression. The lingering bitterness is short and not too strong. It is a well-balanced sake with a modest flamboyance. The second day The refreshing fruity sweetness is quickly followed by a spiciness that spreads to the back of the throat. The lingering aftertaste is not too strong and bitter, with a hint of sweetness behind the bitterness. Fourth day The sweetness seems to have increased. The complex taste like a full-bodied taste comes along with it, so it is not too sweet, and a little bit salty. The lingering bitterness finishes off the taste, and today's wine is also well rounded. The difference in the rice used to make the sake was so great, but both were so delicious that I really felt that the sake brewers are amazing!

My wife and I went to the movies today. Before the movie, I went to Morinomiya to pick up the sake I ordered online. Since we were there, I looked at the sake lineup and saw that it was Tasake! I can buy it without the bundle! So I got the sake I wasn't planning on! After that, we moved to Osaka and had lunch at our favorite soba restaurant, Hyotei! After lunch, we had to go to the movies, so we were a bit worried, but decided to have just one glass of sake! So I had my first sake with my soba lunch, Tsukasa Botan from Tsukasa Botan Sake Brewery. This time, it was a sake under zero! Let's start with the sake! First of all, the aroma. It has a traditional sake aroma. The graininess is clear, with a hint of sweetness and bitterness. I also feel a little bit of the old-fashioned sake flavor. In the second half, you can feel the bitterness and sourness, and the refreshing sensation at the back of the throat. The sweetness and spiciness are both exquisite and refreshing. It goes perfectly with Tempura and Soba and is very delicious! After lunch, we went shopping and watched a movie! After the movie, my wife wanted to have pizza dinner! It was our first time to eat at this restaurant, but we enjoyed it very much and had a fulfilling day!

Thanks again for all your hard work this week. I have finished my mid-week medical checkup. We have finished our mid-week checkups, and this week we are having our favorite Saku-sama drinking contest! So, the first bottle for the sake comparison is from Shimizu Seizaburo Shoten's SAKUSAI! This time it is Aizan! I have not had this since before I started working at Sake no Wa, so I am looking forward to it! Let's have it right away! The first day First, the aroma. It has a sweet and fruity aroma. When you put it in your mouth, it is fresh, juicy, and sweet. It is rich and thick. The bitterness is also quite strong. The gradation of sweetness, saltiness, umami and bitterness is great until the aftertaste! I felt it was a gorgeous sake! The second day The sweetness is strong and the aroma is gorgeous. Tonight, too, it is juicy sweet and delicious! The lingering bitterness is also mild today, giving the impression of a clean break. Day 3 The gentle sweetness gives way to a full-bodied flavor that goes down smoothly. The lingering taste is slightly complex and bitter. The balance remains the same, but the overall impression has become milder. The taste is really different depending on the sake rice, and it was a very enjoyable comparison! It was a blissful time of drinking sake, and I thought Sakusama was really delicious!

The fifth and last drink at my favorite Yakitori restaurant was Drunken Whale by Drunken Whale Shuzo! This time it was summer junmai. The last time I had a drink at Drunken Whale, it was delicious, so I have high expectations for this one! So let's have it right away. First, the aroma. I don't feel much aroma. Well, I'm so drunk that I don't know what to think anymore. In the mouth, it is refreshing with a hint of umami. The lingering aftertaste is bitter and pungent, making it an excellent sake to pair with a meal. It's been a while since I've been to my favorite yakitori restaurant! Above all, the service and the conversation even though it was busy, made for a very comfortable drinking time! I think I will be able to get through the next few days of sobriety now 🤣.

The fourth drink at my favorite Yakitori restaurant was Kankoume by Kankoume Shuzo! NATSU SAKE this time I was lucky because I had seen this sake at Sake-no-wa and wanted to try it! The sweetness comes in the aftertaste. It has a spicy and fruity taste, and this Kankoume is a very delicious sake!

The third drink at my favorite yakitori restaurant was Hanamemi by Ota Shuzo This time WHITE ASPIRATION Speaking of Ota Sake Brewery, I love their Hanzo, but this time I had the impression that it had been quite a while since I had tasted Hanamegumi! Let's have it right away! First, the aroma. The aroma is not so strong. When you put it in your mouth, it has a gentle sweetness and a fruity flavor, with a nice umami. It has a beautiful mouthfeel, and even though it is a special junmai, there is not much of a tangy taste. It is easy to drink and quite delicious! My wife also said it was delicious!

The second drink at my favorite yakitori restaurant was my first brewery, Amabuki by Amabuki Shuzo! This time, I'm in love with summer. Sake for the first time is exciting! So let's have it right away. First, the aroma. It's hard to describe, but it has a nice aroma. When you put it in your mouth, there is a good balance of slightly sweet and bitter taste. There is also a bit of fruity flavor, which is refreshing. The lingering aftertaste is a bitterness. There is a little bit of alcohol, but the umami is very good and it is a delicious sake!

This time, it was a beach in early summer! This is the first time I've had this label! Sakata in Yamagata Prefecture is a memorable place where we stopped by on our honeymoon. So let's have it right away. First, the aroma. It has a refreshing aroma. When you put it in your mouth, it has a mild taste. The refreshing, umami-first, gentle spiciness and bitterness further impresses with its freshness. It is a very beautiful sake and delicious!

After Mansaku-no-Hana, we opened a bottle of this week's "Mansaku-no-Hana", which we got at KITTE Osaka the other day! This is my first time to drink Hakuryu from Yoshida Shuzo! This time it was Yoshimine! Let's have it right away! The first day First, the aroma. It has a refreshing aroma. When you put it in your mouth, you will feel the fruity, gentle sweetness and full-bodied flavor. I couldn't help but say, "Yummmm! The lingering aftertaste is a gentle spiciness that spreads in the mouth. The feeling that the taste is carried by the mild taste is unforgettable~! I was a little surprised at the sweet and fruity taste, which is my favorite, because I had an image of a dry wine. Day 3 Today, too, the sweet and fruity flavor permeates the taste buds. I can feel more sweetness and umami. There is a slight complexity in the middle part of the bottle, but it remains beautiful and delicious until the second half. The aftertaste is refreshing and lingers in the back of the throat. First time for me to drink Hakuryu! I am very thankful to have met Shiraryu-san and Sake-no-Wa if I hadn't started the restaurant. Of course, I was pulled by the super limited edition and got it. I'll have some right away! The first day First, the aroma. It smells fresh and fruity. I wonder if it is apple. When you put it in your mouth, the fruity sweetness comes on top of the fresh flavor. I couldn't help but squeal! The pungent spiciness that lingers in the back of the throat is refreshing. There is also a slight bitterness, and the balance is good! Fourth day. Today, I compared it with Hakuryu which I got the other day. After drinking Hakuryu, the overall impression is a little mild. Still, it has sweetness and umami. The gradation of bitterness and slight spiciness towards the latter half is nice! It has been a long time since I drank Mansaku, but it is a really delicious sake!
