This week we decided on a sake that can also be enjoyed warmed. This is Kaze no Mori ALPHA 5 by Aburacho Shuzo. This was my first Kaze no Mori, and at the time I was unaware that it was a sake that could be enjoyed heated, but I enjoyed it cold and was impressed by its deliciousness. I was very impressed with the taste 💧 I will try ALPHA5 soon. The first day. First, the aroma. It has a strong but refreshing sake aroma. Slightly effervescent when poured into a glass. Cold sake The taste is slightly stimulating, but not too much. In the mouth, you can taste sweetness and bitterness with a hint of citrus freshness. The lingering aftertaste is a refreshing spiciness that spreads to the back of the throat, giving it a good balance. Warmed to lukewarm. The bitterness is more pronounced than when served cold. The sweetness is well balanced even when lukewarm. Day 2 The chili sensation has subsided a bit and the mouthfeel is smooth. The balance of sweetness, bitterness, and sourness is still the same, and the complexity is still good. Day 3 The chili flavor is gone, but it is still very fruity. After leaving Yamanaka Sake Shop, we went to Grand Front Osaka to shop for various things and my wife gave me many gifts. I can't thank you enough, it was really a very enjoyable time. After shopping, we went to dinner. At my request! We went to our usual favorite Yakitori restaurant (lol). I made a reservation when I went last week. I looked at the sake menu board to see what I should have for my first drink at my favorite yakitori restaurant, and saw a mysterious sake with only a price. I ignored it for the time being (since I had to go in earlier than my reservation) and went with this sake. It was a Hanzo special junmai sake from Ota Shuzo. Let's have it right away. First, the aroma. The aroma is not so strong. The mouthfeel is firm, as only a special junmai sake can be. It has a very clean mouthfeel with a traditional sake feel. The bitterness is small and there is a hint of sweetness, making it a very easy to drink sake. The third one is the hot pot, which the proprietor presented to us at the same time as our reservation ✨. Not only was it delicious, but this sentiment from the proprietor made me feel very sinking and blissful ✨.

When I first started liking sake, most of the sake rice I found tasty was Omachi, so I basically prefer Omachi as my sake rice. So, without further ado, let's enjoy the sake. The first day First, the aroma. The aroma is not so strong. But when you put it in your mouth, you can taste the sweetness and umami. It is already great. Only at the end of the aftertaste, you can feel a fresh, slightly pungent taste. There is no cloying taste. It is beautiful and sweet, but not too sweet, making it a truly delicious sake that you can't stop drinking. However, when paired with a meal, the sweetness becomes a little subdued, and the bitterness shows up and does not interfere with the meal, which is also great. My wife was also impressed with the taste. The second day The beautiful sweetness filled my mouth. As I chewed on the happiness, the taste was gradually tightened with a not-too-hard bitterness and a hint of spiciness. The impression is not so different from the first day. This week, I decided to go with a sake from Hokkaido, a region I rarely have a chance to drink, which I took to a liquor store I visited the other day after much agonizing. So, we will open a bottle of Chitose Tsuru by Nippon Seizake. This time we will open a bottle of Fuyu-Higuma. This is the first time I have tasted this brewery since last year's Summer Higuma. Let's enjoy it right away. The first day The top clear liquid. First, the aroma. It has a refreshing aroma. When you put it in your mouth, you will taste a refreshing sweetness, followed by a pungent spiciness and bitterness. The lingering aftertaste is sharp with a firm bitterness. It is a refreshing sake with a smooth taste that can be enjoyed from start to finish, and goes well with a meal. Nigori (nigori) The mouthfeel is firm with just a hint of sweetness. The middle to the latter half of the bottle has a bitterness. It is very tasty with an increased drinking experience. The sweetness and umami in the bitterness is nice as you continue drinking. The second day The top clear layer. When you take a sip, you will feel sourness, bitterness, and a hint of sweetness. The bitterness lingers in the aftertaste. Nigori (nigori) The sweetness and umami also increase and it is delicious. The second half is nicely balanced with lingering bitterness and spiciness. A good sake really makes you feel blissful.

The accompaniment for such a continuous lunchtime drinking immorality is Denshogiku from Kangiku Meikozo. I had been looking forward to drinking this sake since I learned about it from Sakegawa. So, let's have it right away. The first day The first day was Friday with my wife. First, the aroma. It has a refreshing aroma. When you put it in your mouth, the sweet and bitter taste hits you. It is already delicious at first impression. After that, only the bitterness remains, and you feel a lingering, wriggly taste and a chili chili stimulation on your tongue. It has not only sweetness but also bitterness, and it finishes cleanly, giving the impression that it is a very delicious sake that can be easily matched with food. My wife was also pleased with the taste. The third day The sweetness has increased and it is very fruity, juicy and delicious on the third day. The third drink at my favorite yakitori restaurant was Nabeshima Harvest Moon, which I had previously enjoyed. The owner asked us if we would like to drink it. The owner asked me if I would like to drink it, so I gladly accepted. It was a delicious Nabeshima after all. The last one was SAKUGENOCHI from Shimizu Seizaburo Shoten. This is my favorite sake that makes me think what a delicious junmai sake it is. I will have it immediately. First, the aroma. It has a sweet and gorgeous aroma. When you put it in your mouth, it is as you would expect from Saku-sama. The sweetness and umami from the fresh mouthfeel are irresistible. This sweet and umami taste with a solid drinking experience is truly delicious. Gennochi is always delicious, and you will want to repeat the experience again and again. We spent another blissful day full of sake, from lunchtime drinking to the liquor store to our favorite yakitori restaurant.

The last sake at Unagidani will be the first sake from the brewery. It was Sekiya Brewery's Houraisen no Sora. We chose this sake that we had been curious about since we saw it at Sakegawa. Since I was there, I ordered a Cosmos label from Shinmasa Sake Brewery's COLORS, which I have never had before. So, let's have it right away. First, the aroma. It has a refreshing aroma. In the mouth, citrusy grapefruit-like sweetness and astringency~. It is already too delicious. It was like a quintessential Niimasa. Today my wife and I celebrated the anniversary of my parents' wedding anniversary and longevity celebration! Both of my parents were very touched and we talked a lot about the memories of our trip last month. On such an evening, I recently purchased a sake from Hatsumomiji, which I became interested in after reading a post by Sake-no-Wa. This time it was Harada Gentetsu. This is my first sake from the brewery! Let's have it right away! The first day First, the aroma. It smells sweet. When you put it in your mouth, you will feel a fluffy sweetness, and then, poof, it's gone. You will feel a slight bitterness and a refreshing citrus sweetness. The lingering aftertaste is a slight spiciness in the back of the throat. The mouthfeel is smooth, clean, easy to drink, and delicious! When paired with a meal, the bitterness and spiciness increase, giving it a slightly thicker feel. It was delicious without interfering with the meal. Day 2 The same beautiful mouthfeel as before. I started to feel a stronger bitterness and I think it became easier to match with meals. However, when matched with a meal, it has a different taste with an interesting sweetness. I also felt the firmness of unfiltered unpasteurized sake today. Third day The taste is soft again today. It is delicious with a firm sweetness. The bitter taste and the spiciness in the back of the throat come out when you think it has been reset. The third day was just as delicious as ever!
