Typhoon No. 10 is hitting the archipelago, please be careful in the places where it is raining now and in the places where it will be raining in the future 🌀 Due to this typhoon, my work schedule for this week is quite flexible💦. I will be in Osaka on the 28th to support a local curry event at the Hanshin Umeda main store, and I will also be in Osaka on the 28th to support a local restaurant, Spice Territory Masuka? I had originally planned to go to Osaka on the 28th to support a local curry event at the Hanshin Umeda main store and to go to the Sake Festival at the Osaka Takashimaya Department Store, but I had to give that up due to sudden work commitments 😵. I finally got over the mountain of work in August, so I opened this one to say goodnight 🍶. Honkin Junmai After the Rain and the Sky I got this bottle on a recent trip to Shinshu ✨We had different sake cups again to compare! [Gugumeimi!] The aroma of rice with a hint of sourness, mild sweetness and umami, and a clean, crisp finish with a citrusy sweet aftertaste. [Mokkiri] Aroma of plump and sweet rice, a refreshing sweetness and umami, and a clean and crisp finish, which also leaves a citrusy sweet aftertaste, but even fresher than the gugumi-nomi. We tried it with sashimi of sea bream and grilled beef on a ceramic plate, and also with meat seasoned simply with salt, as it was said to be intoxicating. This refreshing sweetness and sharpness are characteristic of this wine, and it is versatile enough to go with meat as well as fish! May the typhoon pass and bring you a refreshing azure sky!

P.S. The fourth one is [spista ritemasca?] s curry 🍛! I've been supporting them since they were renting a store 😁. If you are in the area and interested, please stop by Hanshin Umeda Flagship Store until today (August 29th) and try their curry 🙇.

The 20th was a full moon night in August ✨ at 🌕️, [StarGen Moon]. Well, it's been a while since I've had a relaxing [moon-viewing sake], so here's what I'll be opening this time 🍶. Gassan Mizuki Junmai Daiginjo. This time, I'm going to compare the two sakes [Tsuki no Oubai] and [Natsu no Sake], or rather, make them look more gorgeous ✨. [Tsuki no Daibai] Aroma of mellow melon-like rice, full-bodied mouthfeel, then melon-like sweetness like the aroma, and a deep and long aftertaste. [Summer Sake] The finish is similar to that of Tsuki no Oubai, but the firm umami after the drink is more pronounced. Either way, the sweet umami and pleasant fruity aftertaste is irresistibly delicious 😋. The entrée was an assortment of sashimi that we bought at a fish shop. The night breeze has gradually become cooler as I look out the window at the moon, and I can now hear the faint sounds of autumn insects. The season is changing, even though I feel the heat every day 🌊🍁. I felt a little sign of autumn [tonight, moon-viewing sake]🌕️🍶✨. By the way, I also got a perfect [moon sake] the other day in Shinshu, so I will open it from now on☺.

BBQ at my parents' house, quickly emptied a small amount of low-alcohol "Akanesasu" and went on to the next drink 🍶. We had bought 14 bottles of sake (one of them was "Akanesasu") on our trip to Shinshu, which was 10 bottles more than we had planned, so we decided to drink the sake we had in stock and opened this one ✨. Abe Junmai Nama Sake. The aroma of tranquil and plump rice flavor, the slight carbonation you feel on the tip of your tongue, the shift to a sizzling umami and sweetness, the sharp finish, and the deep lingering aftertaste that makes you feel a little bit sad. The luxury of drinking nama-zake outside, with a slightly cooler night breeze and the faint chirping of crickets, is an extremely pleasant and intoxicating experience. Even my father, who said it was a bit sweet, seemed to like it as he drank it with ease. The kids made s'mores with marshmallows on skewers and enjoyed the BBQ to the fullest! My dad used to prepare the BBQ by himself, but since his back surgery, he's been doing it on his own. I think it's proof that he's still in good health that he doesn't give up the fire 🤔. By the way, the brands I bought on my trip to Shinshu are Shinshu Kamerei Honkin Kuromatsu Senjo Shinanotsuru Yamazan Akanezasu Secret I will be reviewing them along with the stock originally left in the cellar ✨.

On the last day of the Bon vacation, I decided to invite my siblings and their families to have a BBQ at my parents' house 😁. We started preparing around 4pm, just in time for my nieces and nephews to finish their sports class 🍴. It was breezy in the evening, but it was still hot, so we started to pour beer from the preparation stage and then followed the example of Mr. Noodle Sake King and went for the sake at the BBQ 🍶. Akanesasu Sparkling Dry This is a sake I got on a recent trip to Shinshu, and I paired it with this one as a starter ✨. The restaurant said it was quite dry, so I thought it would go well with BBQ, so I chose it! The aroma of rice like pear or melon, the mouthfeel is slightly sweet and soft with a dry sharpness of umami and acidity, and the lingering aroma of green apples, which is typical of Shinshu sake, lingers afterwards! Ahhh, it's delicious! This one was purchased at the Ootsuki Sake Shop in Matsumoto City 😊. It was the only "Akanesasu" I found among the liquor stores I stopped by during my trip, so I wanted to try other brands too 🤣. By the way, the other liquor stores we stopped by during our trip were Matsumoto City Nakashimaya Sake Shop Nakajima Sake Shop Ootsuki Sake Shop Ueda City Sake Eiya Jizakeya Miyajima The above plus the Okazaki Sake Brewery

[The third drink at Donchaya (Sake Brewery). I was curious about the "Manager's Recommendation" on the sake menu, and when I ordered it, the manager pondered for a while. He asked me, "How about Mai-bijin? I asked him if he would like to order Mai-bijin. Mai-bijin Junmai Ginjo-shu. The aroma of rice with a hint of sourness, the sour aroma of the mouth, the mild umami and richness, the acidity in the back, and the lingering sourness that lingers in the throat and through the nose. The best dish is fried horse mackerel with the flavor of horse mackerel and Mai-bijin's flavor and acidity. Once again, Sake Brewery Donchaya was delicious! We left the restaurant very satisfied, and since we were downtown, we went to a bar that had recently celebrated its anniversary, and went home that day. 🏠️

I went under the curtain hoping to find a seat at the restaurant I was looking for, while feeling the change of stores in the downtown area after a long time, wondering where I should go for dinner. [Sake Brewery Donchaya!] The counter was empty, so we easily entered the restaurant. After checking the menu, we started with this Katsushikoma Junmai Sake. Aroma of rich rice, fruity sweetness with a clean flavor, and a pleasant lingering aftertaste with a unique tangy aroma. The flavor increases as the temperature rises 😁. [The last item I had at SHIMA & COFFEE & SAKE was this one, which had a unique label design that attracted my interest. Kitanishi Sake Brewery Prototype It has a sour grape-like aroma, a sweet aroma similar to the juicy "Sairai" with a hint of white grape sweetness and banana flavor behind the sweetness, and a firm sweetness with a slightly bitter finish. The characteristic aroma of sweetness and umami mixed together and the juicy sweetness that comes afterwards, I think it is better suited for after dinner than during the meal 🤔. This is a private brand from Kitanishi Shuzo, the brewer of Sairai, in collaboration with Isego Honten, with the concept of "a new sake that Kitanishi has never had before. Hirotogawa Special Junmai. Fruity yet milky rice aroma, very refreshing and sweet, contrary to the aroma, with a clean and pleasant aftertaste. The impact of the aroma and the gap between the clean taste and the deep aftertaste makes this a bottle that you can drink forever without getting tired of it. This is a very tasty wine. Traveling in Shinshu (4) After dinner at the inn, we went to an izakaya (Japanese style pub) in the hot spring resort area. But here's an emergency: one of the two izakayas is closed 😲 and the other one has so many customers that you can't get in without a reservation💦. We thought we would go back to our room to drink, but we found another izakaya 💡. The owner of this izakaya, who loves the Giants, was cheering for the Hanshin-Giants on the TV in the restaurant 😁. Unfortunately, just as we were watching the game, the Hanshin team exploded with a timely hit that scored 3 runs 💦. Here's the sake we had at the restaurant! Shichisyo", grade unknown. I asked for it to be warmed up, but it was served hot. The aroma of rice rising softly with plump flavor and sweet aftertaste. Sake and 4 or 5 dishes were served on your order. 3,000 yen for 2 people is not cheap, is it? The next day was also full of hot spring baths, and all five baths at the inn were complete ✨.

Hi Jive 🐦. Your Shinshu sake trip is going great 😆 I'm glad you were able to drink at a nice restaurant, albeit out of the blue! After all, it's cheap 🤣👍 The inn with 5 different baths is awesome too 😳✨I'm sure it will blow away your normal tiredness 😊.

Traveling in Shinshu ③. A glass of sake ordered with "Taisetsukei" at today's inn [Kashiwaya Honten] 🍶. Kuroyo Special Junmai The aroma of rice is calm and quiet, the mouthfeel is smooth with a hint of sweetness, and it finishes with a pleasant lingering aftertaste and the sweetness of the sake's alcohol. The Shinshu Wagyu full course includes "Hoba Miso" and "Ishiyaki", followed by the highlight, "Sukiyaki". While following the flavor of the meat, the fat is kept clean and the exquisite salty taste is intoxicating. It was a day to enjoy an extraordinary experience at an inn overflowing with hospitality 😁. After this, we will explore the izakaya (Japanese style pubs) in the hot spring resort area 🤣.

Traveling in Shinshu on Day 2 Entering the inn in time for the fastest check-in time, we first enjoy the onsen (hot springs) ♨️ Then, we went to the dinner we were looking forward to 🍴. This time, we ordered a full course of Shinshu Wagyu Beef and enjoyed the delicious meat 😋. I thought it would be impolite to Shinshu if I didn't order some sake to go with such delicious food, so I ordered some locally brewed sake 🍶. Taisetsukei Alps Ginjo. A cool, sweet rice aroma, juicy sweetness on the palate with a slight bitterness that lingers and finishes with a gorgeous fruity sweet aftertaste and a hint of apple flavor that is typical of Shinshu sake. This is delicious 😁. To be paired with Shinshu wagyu beef, I would pair it with fish from the sea and the mountains, Shinshu salmon, sweetfish, and striped horse mackerel sashimi 💖. Shinshu is the place to get drunk ✨.

Traveling in Shinshu (1) A trip to Bessho Onsen, Ueda City, Shinshu, to get away from the usual hustle and bustle. The members of the group, all of whom have known each other since elementary school, are going on their first trip to a hot spring in 10 years 🧳. First, we stopped for lunch in Matsumoto City 🚙. The soba restaurant we planned to go to was full of people on the waiting list, so we went to Kura no Mukou, a restaurant we had researched beforehand as a backup restaurant. We paired the Shinshu soba with a bottle of Matsumoto's local sake. Zenzai Onna-Toba-no-Izumi, grade Junmai-Ginjo, I guess! The aroma of plump rice, clean flavor, mild sweetness, and a gentle aftertaste. When paired with soba (buckwheat noodles), the umami and lingering aftertaste that rises up as if accompanying the fragrant soba noodles are pleasant. A good start to a happy drunkenness 😁. And I already bought 4 bottles of Yongou at the Matsumoto City stage💦. I wonder if I can fit in 10 bottles 🤣.

This week is the long-awaited trip to Shinshu 🧳. I drank all the "Abe THE ARANAMI" left in the cellar to make room, but I was short of my usual little drink, so let's open one cup and have another one 🍶. Kozutsuru RICH Yamahai. I looked it up again and realized that it was even called RICH 😁. The aroma of clear rice, the mild richness and slight sweetness that is typical of Yamahai, and the firm umami, then the aromatic caramel aroma that escapes from the nose, and the aroma of malted rice that is like caramel. The aroma of malted rice like caramel that leaves the nose. Oh, the punchy yet mellow taste with a clean aftertaste is quite addictive 😋. The entrée is [salmon and yellowtail offcuts], perfect with fatty sashimi. ✨️ August 11 is the day of the famous Mikuni Fireworks Festival, and since it is difficult to go to the venue, we watched the fireworks on cable TV 🎆. By the way, this is a gift from Mr. Umaumai, who I had the pleasure of meeting in Osaka on a business trip in July 🎁. [Thank you very much, Mr. Umaimai 🙇.

The 8 "Abe" bottles that at one point filled the cellar have 3 bottles left 😁 leaving 2 standard bottles to be opened tonight 🍶. Abe THE ARANAMI It is sold in early spring, and the brewery's idea is to let people taste the state of the rice of the year, so the year the rice melts is "SAZANAMI", while the year it does not melt well is "ARANAMI". The moment I opened the package and removed the outer packaging, I was surprised to see a powerful "pop! The lid shot out with great force! I thought "Oh no!" but it didn't blow out and I was relieved💦. [Gulping down the sake] The aroma of rice is full and lactic acidic, the mouthfeel is slightly sweet, and the acidity is very sharp, and after it finishes, there is a sweet rice aroma and a deep aftertaste on the nose. Trip time: 11 seconds [Glass] A clean rice aroma, a slight carbonation felt on the tip of the tongue, a clean sweet umami, a sharp acidity, and a lingering sweet citrus-like aroma after it finishes. This is also an 11-second trip time! Double tataki of Spanish mackerel and bonito for the entrée, and add garlic chips for a punchy flavor with the sweet and savory taste that is typical of "Abe". Finally watched [Yonjohan Taiman Machine Blues], which I wanted to watch while drinking, and the key to the story [Gozan no Okuribi] is already next week ✨.

With the new moon on August 4, let's open a small bottle of star sake for star gazing and also to organize the cellar for our trip to Shinshu next week 🍶🌟. Abe Star Series FOMALHAUT Imperial Sake UNITED ARROWS I found out after I bought it that there are 3 versions: Nama-shu, Nama-kumi, and Hi-ire ✨. [This is the hi-ire version.] The aroma of rice and banana with a hint of sweetness, the rich sweetness of the mouthfeel, the sweet aftertaste through the nose, and the slight bitterness at the end. [Mokkiri] Aroma of ripe banana, rich and juicy sweetness on the palate, and a sweet aftertaste on the nose. It is said that the base "FOMALHAUT", which is made by using kijo sake instead of brewing water, has been aged for a longer period of time, As the label on the back says, the overwhelming sweetness comes to the forefront, and it has a characteristic sweet aftertaste that almost makes you feel as if you are going to be consumed. Compared to the base, the sharp acidity is gone, and the sweet flavor is enhanced. I paired it with a meal, but as the label on the back says, it would be great with a savory cheese after a meal 🤔.
