We stopped by Sakeiki Daigo on our one-day trip to Kanazawa on June 19, 2011 and drank a lot more than just "Iraka".
After "Iraka", I ordered this second sake, which was just about to be released 🍶.
Nabeshima Summer Moon Ginjo
The aroma is like a soft apple with honey, the mouthfeel is slightly gassy, the sweetness is clean but still tasty, and the finish is refreshing and sweet, like a spud.
This is one of my favorites.
I was so happy to be able to drink this following the "Blossoms Moon" we had in the spring ✨.

After ordering "Jyushidai", "Kahayo" and premium sake, I found "sake with a reason" and "brand unknown" on the sake list, so I ordered them.
Yamahai Akirika.
A slightly heavy aroma like Yamahai, a clean flavor, a soft and refreshing aroma and a refreshing sharpness like Yamahai.
It would go well with fish from Kanazawa 😋.
We also had soba noodles to finish 🥰.

We stopped by Oyabu for lunch during our one-day drinking trip to Kanazawa on June 19, 2011.
I ordered "Jyushiyo" for my first drink, and this is what I chose for my second drink!
Hana-yoso Junmai Ginjo Unfiltered Nama-shu.
Sweet aroma like a tropical fruit, sweet umami like a fresh pineapple, and a slightly bitter taste on the nose with a sweet aftertaste.
We ordered the head of the oyakodon, which Oyabu recommends as much as the soba noodles!
The savory flavor of the brand-name chicken roasted over charcoal matches the salty taste of the Warishita (soy sauce), and the rice goes down a treat when ordered in a bowl.
Recently, they are planning to open a restaurant specializing in oyakodon (chicken and egg bowl). ✨️
I was surprised by the sudden tsunami warning last morning, but relieved that there was no major damage to Japan.
I am keenly aware of the importance of daily disaster prevention awareness 😓.
Now, I'm in the spirit of drinking when I can, so let's have a drink 🍶.
Kitaan Okuni Midsummer Midwinter Sake - Snow Storage Junmai Ginjo Unfiltered Nama Sake
Get it as an option in the July Shinshu Secret Sake Hanpukai (✨️). This one is completely new to me 💡.
This is a challenging bottle of freshly pressed, unfiltered, unpasteurized sake made in the winter and bottled and stored in the snow!
[Even in the heyday of "light and dry" sake, if you continue to make "mellow sweet" sake, someone will take a shine to it.
I can feel the confidence of the brewery that if they continue to make this sake, someone will be attracted to it, and that person will continue to buy "Kitaan Okuni".

The aroma of rice is slightly banana-like, the mouthfeel is mellow with a gentle umami and banana-like richness, and then it finishes with a pleasantly long aftertaste and a sour bitterness.
[Mokkiri.]
The rice aroma is reminiscent of bananas, and the mouthfeel is soft with a strong acidity that finishes with a gentle aftertaste and a sweet and sour taste that lingers on the palate.
The sweetness and umami are in contrast to the "Ding" opened the other day, but there are similarities in the clean taste 🤔.
Both served with local seafood [Seared Spanish Mackerel] and [Sashimi of Black Sea Bream] 😋.
For the fourth one, I went to Yamaoka for the limited-time-only Burnt Soy Sauce Ramen (🍜).
However, I wasn't into it as much as I thought I would be, so I went back later for the "Special Miso Ramen" to cleanse my palate 🥰.

Ding Junmai Ginjo Natsusei Oorigarami
First time drinking at home
I finally discovered it in June at Shusenan Mizukami in Kanazawa (✴️).
It's been over a year since I gave up buying it on my trip to Shinshu last year.
[Glass.]
The aroma of sweet rice, similar to that of ramune, the taste is refreshingly sweet and umami, as if you can feel a cool breeze blowing across your mouth, and then it finishes with a refreshingly sweet aftertaste and a bitter taste at the back of the throat.
[Mokkiri.]
The aroma of rice is refreshing and sweet, similar to that of ramune, and the mouthfeel is clean and refreshing, with a full-bodied sweet umami flavor, followed by the same refreshing finish and a refreshing aftertaste.
The refreshing sweetness is perfect for this season, and can be drunk at night after sweating it out during the day, or while BBQing in the afternoon.
The entrée is the customary [yakitori from Yuben Akiyoshi].
The fourth one is a slightly full moon from the new moon that I found when I was looking at the evening view on July 28th.
This one makes me want to drink "Koei Kiku" 🤣.

Oosawawa Shinshu Secret Sake Hanpukai 2025
The Furuya Brewery, which brews the "Wawa Wawa" that Jay & Nobby and others were drinking before, suffered a fire at the end of last year that destroyed the brewery and their home.
First of all, we would like to extend our deepest sympathies 🛐.
The sake rice that survived the fire was used by the Osawa Brewery, which brews "Meikyojosui" in the same area, and the result is this "Osawa Wawa"!

The wrapping of the sake is made of "Habutae" (a traditional Japanese wrapping cloth) with Fukui Castle, which is associated with Lord Shungetake, painted on the wrapping.
