My wife came all the way from Fukuoka to help us move! She even brought two bottles for us to compare. ❗️ We had a lot left in the fridge 💦. We really appreciate it 😊. We immediately compared the new wave of Iwate sake following Akabu! First up is the Army Label! 100% Yamada-Nishiki from Ishikawa Prefecture! Yamada-Nishiki is now a rare and precious sake rice The aroma is not fruity, but rather grain-derived sweetness and acidity Mouthfeel is just as the aroma suggests. The balance of sweetness, umami, and acidity is beautifully matched. The bitterness is not so much, and it goes away without a hitch... Very easy to drink. ❗️ I was too lazy to drink it all in 3 sips👍

Lunchtime drinking in Akabane After quickly leaving Maruken Suisan, we walked a little further and went to "Tachinomizu Ikoi" (Standing Drinking Ikoi) for a drink. Here we enjoyed black hoppy and grilled motsu. We had a quick drink here, too, and then headed back to the restaurant. I took the Saikyo Line back to Toda Park, my hometown! But I still didn't have enough to drink. So we went to Yakitori Hidaka! When I came to Tokyo in February to look for a new place to live, I stayed in front of Oji Station and stopped by this restaurant for dinner! It is a sister restaurant of Chinese restaurant Hidakaya! Cheap and hearty, it is a friend of the common people! I heard that there is also a Toda Koen station, so I had my sights set on going there someday 😁. So I invited my wife to visit ❗️ I had the Dragon Highball🐉, a soda mix of Shaoxing sake, and my wife ordered sake🍶. What came out was Bunraku Honjozo! This is another Saitama sake ❗️ And it's a sister brand of Ayarai's sake! Of course we shared it! It is the complete opposite of Sairai-chan, and has the smell and sweetness that only aluzome can give, but the sweetness has more depth and richness than Marumashimasomune! It goes well with yakitori.

Hidakaya's yakitori stand-up restaurant is good👍. The fried sardines are good, and if you order kashira, it comes with spicy miso, just like in Saitama. Bunraku is the older brother and was originally a brewery with a standard dry sake image.

At the request of my wife who came to help us move, we went to Yasukuni Shrine to see the cherry blossoms. After that we moved to Iidabashi. We had lunch outside and enjoyed the cherry blossoms 🌸🌸. After that, we went to Akabane, a sacred place for drinkers at my request. I chose Maruken Suisan from among many lunchtime drinking spots. It's been a long time since I've been here! After Corona Banzai🙌! First, we started with some oden and a sip of Maru CUP! I can smell and taste the sweetness that comes from the arosoe, but it goes perfectly with the oden here 👌 I was about to go on drinking it, but I held it back for about half a minute... Then, pay 50 yen at the counter to have the oden soup stock added. You can't start without the famous "dashiwari" here: ❗️ The maru cups that become one with the oden broth are now a work of art, a perfect fusion that is impossible to separate👍. I haven't had chikuwa-fu in a while, but I can't get enough of its unique net-like texture! I must go back 😤!

First post after moving I became a resident of Saitama Prefecture this month! I'm looking forward to working with you all in Saitama and the Kanto area! So, I'm going to resume my sake drinking activities starting with Saitama's sake! Teisho Junmai Genmai Sake THE SAITAMA I bought this sake because of the unique label design with Saitama's pose and Saitama's color, red 🟥. I'm going to open the bottle after I make a Saitama pose too. ✌️ The Saitama sake brewed with water and rice from Saitama prefecture. First of all, the aroma gives a deep sweetness derived from grains. On the palate, it is more umami and acidic. And although it is understated, it is accompanied by a rich sweetness like brown sugar! It is quite easy to drink despite its high alcohol content of 18%. Be careful not to drink too much 😅

This is an expired past drink post: ⬇️ I got my luggage out safely and finally tomorrow is the day of departure! I'm going to enjoy my last supper with my wife! I'll finish with a special Kyushu pre-drink: ❗️ The new sake from Kyushu, Kabako! Not "Kyouko" but "Kabashiko"! You can't read it, can you? It is edible rice from Higo province in the Edo period, and there is a legend that when sake was brewed, the aroma wafted to the neighborhood. Let's get started! What is it? I don't know what it smells like 😭 Not citrus, not grape... The product description leaflet says it smells like a plump peach 🍑, but... It's the exact opposite of that, it's a very understated, elegant, ladylike scent. It was defeated by the plum and woody aroma of Shinsei Sakura & Suiboku, which I drank first❓ I drank them in the wrong order ❓ My wife says so, but I think it's because I've drunk so much that my sense of smell is numb😅 Sorry, I should have drunk them first💦. Oh, as for the taste... Sweet and sour with a slight bitterness. It was elegant and nicely balanced. If I am lucky enough to meet it next year, I will drink it alone or by itself and enjoy it with love.

Next, I'm going to have a bottle of Colors' top-shelf sake. I didn't expect to be able to buy it at a liquor store! Today we will open the bottle sparingly: ✌️ The well-known "Characteristics of this lot" says "aroma reminiscent of acacia, vanilla, and watermelon", but is it really...? Well, it does have an acacia or woody aroma! I wonder if this is due to the wooden vat brewing process... It is similar to the special feeling of drinking Masu sake. When you sip it, you can feel the sweetness and acidity that only Shinmasa can offer. It also has a matured feeling like whisky, perhaps due to the wooden barrel brewing process. My wife agrees with me and says it tastes more mature than Cosmos. Delicious ❗️ That's what I'm talking about: ‼️

This is an event train of Kintetsu Railway that goes from Gosho City, where there is a sake brewery, to Kashihara Shrine, which is related to the imperial family, via Uehonmachi, Osaka. Please keep on running this kind of trains! I couldn't make it this year, but next year 😤. But I'm super lucky to be able to get one even in Hakata: ✌️ Let's get started! The aroma is bitter-acid type, grapefruit. The taste is just as I imagined. The taste is similar to Koueikiku's Anastasia Green. It also goes in smoothly 👍

1300 check-in: ‼️ Spoiler alert: the sake to commemorate the number one was chosen from the Drink and Support Hokuriku Sake📣! Nigori (nigori) sake miraculously rescued from a damaged brewery! We will enjoy it with care! The amount of lees is almost three times that of Senkou Dobrok 🫨. We tried to open the bottle with trepidation! Ale ⁉️ The bottle opened so easily that it was almost anticlimactic! However, I was concerned about the air bubbles that were gradually emerging, so I kept an eye on it... It's a surprise... ‼️ I closed the cap in a hurry. I waited for 20 minutes for the lees to settle down.
