At the request of my wife who came to help us move, we went to Yasukuni Shrine to see the cherry blossoms.
After that we moved to Iidabashi.
We had lunch outside and enjoyed the cherry blossoms 🌸🌸.
After that, we went to Akabane, a sacred place for drinkers at my request.
I chose Maruken Suisan from among many lunchtime drinking spots.
It's been a long time since I've been here!
After Corona Banzai🙌!
First, we started with some oden and a sip of Maru CUP!
I can smell and taste the sweetness that comes from the arosoe, but it goes perfectly with the oden here 👌
I was about to go on drinking it, but I held it back for about half a minute...
Then, pay 50 yen at the counter to have the oden soup stock added.
You can't start without the famous "dashiwari" here: ❗️
The maru cups that become one with the oden broth are now a work of art, a perfect fusion that is impossible to separate👍.
I haven't had chikuwa-fu in a while, but I can't get enough of its unique net-like texture!
I must go back 😤!

Last Sunday was probably the best time to see the cherry blossoms in Tokyo in full bloom.

Here's another one that came up after sorting through the images.
I thought it would be better to share it with you all in terms of content, so I'm posting it now💦.
It's been about 4 years ago.
It was taken at Maruken Suisan, a sacred place in Akabane, Tokyo, where I enjoyed a cup of Marushin Masamune sake with fish paste as a side dish.
A small sip at first.
Eventually, when the remaining amount reached the line engraved on the bottle, we ordered the famous "Dashiwari" ❗️
Pour some oden dashi into the cup and add it to your order 😁.
The soup matches the oden broth and it's really tasty!
On the way back to Haneda Airport, I was looking for souvenirs when I came across a four-pack of Koyama Shuzo's Junmai Daiginjo "Gin no Mai" ❗️
There was only one bottle left, so I bought it without hesitation: ✌️
However
I thought I had kept it carefully in a cool dark place...
When I opened the bottle about a year later, I was surprised to find that it had deteriorated... 😢.
I was really disappointed💦.
Thanks to this, I now understand the importance of temperature control 😅.
