We managed to reach the 400th milestone without a hitch 😀. Of course, our number one is Kaorin's favorite, Mr. Hanamup 😀! Out of the 400, Kido-san had the most bottles (20) and Hanamup-san had the second most bottles (12) 🤣. But due to some adult reasons, Hanamaru-san is only bottled in 1 sho (1.5 liter) bottles, and the rest are mostly 4-gou bottles, so in terms of the amount we drink, Hanamaru-san is number 1 in our house 😀. This is the only Hanamup that we currently have in stock, so we decided to open today's bottle with this Hanamup's Omachi 😇. Hanamaru-san's sake has a beautiful and delicious sharpness with any rice, but I still prefer the nama-shu with any rice. From now on, I can only get fire-brewed sake for a while 🤣.

Actually, Maru-san, who is a good friend of mine at Sake-no-wa, and I participate in the hanpukai at the same liquor store 😀. Maru-san drank this Mimuro Sugi the other day and gave it a high rating, so we opened the bottle with high expectations 😇 Well... it's delicious 😀. Maru-san and I have similar taste preferences, so I was full of anticipation, but the sake was even better than I had imagined 😀. The sake that was brought to room temperature for tasting practice and the sake that was chilled were both delicious, though in different directions 😀. The one at room temperature had a powerful fruit flavor with a gorgeous Jun Dai aroma 😀. And the chilled one, after entering the mouth, the taste of quality fruit that is not too strong runs around the entrance of the throat in a circular motion and then it finishes 😀. It is labeled as a wooden vat, but I could hardly feel the wooden vat 😀.

This is a sake I bought the other day at Yamamoto Honke in Fushimi, Kyoto, where I visited the brewery on foot 😀. Junmai Daiginjo, a limited edition sake brewery. For some reason, when I visit a brewery, I'm always attracted to the words "limited edition" 🤣. Since I was there, I decided to compare the sake at room temperature and chilled for the tasting 😇 The tasting sake at room temperature has a very fine ginjo aroma 😀. The aroma of the rice was very strong 😇. The crisp and fruity mouthfeel of the chilled sake is good, but the rounded mouthfeel of the tasting sake that was brought to room temperature is also good 😀. It is rare to find a sake that tastes so good both chilled and at room temperature, but I really enjoyed it 😇
Japanese>English
ジェイ&ノビィ
Hi Yasbay 😃 If you go to the brewery, you can't help but buy the "brewer's limited edition" 😅I'd put it back to room temperature before drinking and compare the different temperatures! Sounds interesting 🤔I'll try to copy it next time🤗.
Japanese>English
ヤスベェ
Hi Jay & Nobby 😀 Maybe the main purpose of going to the brewery is to buy the limited edition sake 🤣. This way of drinking is actually a preparation for the sake tasting exam for the sake diploma 😅. The sake for the exam comes out at room temperature, so it's a countermeasure for that 😅.

Kaorin bought this sake as a souvenir when she went to Okayama on a business trip. It is brewed with specially cultivated rice in Okayama, Omachi, in a collaboration between agriculture, commerce, and industry and a university 😀. It has an alcohol content of 17 degrees, but you don't feel that much alcohol and it's a little dangerous to drink 😅. It's a bright, beautiful and delicious sake, typical of Okayama, the land of sunshine 😀.

This sake is from last year's brewing year, which I purchased when I visited Heiwa Sake Brewery, which brews Kido-san in early summer of this year 😀. In fact, I was able to participate in the planting of this year's Agara sake rice at Heiwa Shuzo on that day 😀. The taste was a bit different from the gorgeous and fruity Kido that I usually drink, it was more like a thicker taste with the power of the earth 😀. But it's Kido, and within that strength, there is a hint of the Kido glamour that I always feel 😀 Delicious! Delicious😇 In October, we will participate in harvesting the rice we planted ourselves 😀. I would be more than happy if the photos of rice planting and harvesting would be on the label of this brewing year's Agara, with me and Orin in the picture 🤣.

Last night I got home late so Kaorin's birthday was just a toast at Kinkame, so today we went for a sake lunch 😀. The second floor of a store called Sake Kouzou in Osaka city is the store's own Japanese pizza and koji restaurant 😀. It's a very good restaurant, but you can also buy sake from the store on the first floor and have it served to you 😀. This is the store I use to buy Nabeshima, but today I decided to try the bubbly sake 😀. They had sparkling sake from Kido and Otters, but Kaorin chose Kido's sparkling sake😇. We had a fermented sake snack set and a miso-based Japanese pizza, which went well with the sparkling sake 😀. Today is Kaorin's?7th birthday😇. Thank you all for imagining today's sake when I reported yesterday that we opened a bottle of Jikin no Omachi Hi-ire at the eve of the festival 🙇. This year is an Olympic year, and since it is right between the Olympics and Paralympics, I had decided on this one 🥇🐢😇. Just being alive and well is a gold medal 😇. My first Shinshu Kamerei Kinkame had a deep and clear aroma and a very deep taste to match😇. Compared to this sake, Jikin is even more impressive with its gorgeousness only emphasized in reverse 😇. Tomorrow is Kaorin's 5th birthday 😀. We have already decided what we are going to drink tomorrow, so we opened a bottle of Jikin today as an eve celebration 😀. I have been going to Sake no Yamamoto since last year and they often have a lottery for Jikin 😇. I enter the lottery when I go there, and I have a very high chance of winning 😀 Thanks to them, I never run out of Jikin. Thanks to that, Jikin is always sitting in my fridge, but this Omachi is my first time drinking it 😀. First of all, as soon as I opened the bottle, I was overwhelmed by its aroma 😇. The aroma is wonderful, not inferior to that of Daiginjo 😀 The taste is well-balanced as you would expect. The taste is really delicious, as you would expect from a well-balanced sake like Jikin 😀. Now I'm looking forward to seeing how it will compare with the sake that is scheduled to be opened tomorrow for the celebration 😀.

I contact them every night with a 6-bottle sake tasting set, and this Otter is the only one that I can taste properly every time 🤣. Maybe I can easily identify the Otter because I've had it a few times, but the other sakes are too difficult to blind taste because it's my first time 😅. I might be able to tell which sake it is if I drink the bottle until it's empty, but if it's my first taste of a completely different sake in a test, I'm confident I won't be able to tell 🤣.

At Matsui Sake Brewery, which we visited yesterday, the brewer highly recommended this sake 😀. Actually, this sake for purchase was bottled just 2 days ago and the brewer told us to open the bottle as soon as possible because it is in great condition and definitely tastes better than the same sake that is currently being tasted at the brewery for a fee 😀. First of all, the aroma is not so much junmai as junmai daiginjo... it could be called junmai daiginjo😇. Just one sip and you can taste the beautiful flavor 😀. The elegant sweetness and umami that is not cloying spread on the palate, and the sake was so delicious that it is proud to be called "quintessential sake.

Kaorin has been on summer vacation for more than a week, but I've been working as per the calendar 😅. So today is the last day of our summer vacation, and the fifth and final leg of our usual walking tour of temples, shrines, and sake breweries 😇. We took the Hankyu and Keihan trains to Demachiyanagi in Kyoto 😀. After visiting a few temples and shrines in the northeastern part of Kyoto, we went to Matsui Sake Brewery located between Sanjo and Demachiyanagi 😀. This was a very nice store with a relaxed atmosphere where you can do paid tastings and merchandising if you have a reservation 😇. We bought a prepaid card for 3000 yen for two people and had our favorite sake at a table 😇. Kamizo's main sake seems to be a celebration of Kyoto sake rice, but my favorite sake we had today was a summer-only jun-dai made with omachi 😀. It had a summery acidity and sweetness...I could taste muscat and figs, but it was not clingy and it finished nicely😇. It was a bit expensive to buy for home, so I got two bottles of junmai and nigori sake recommended by the brewery 😇.

I think I probably bought it at some store where it was recommended to me, but I don't know where... I'm sure bouken-san would know where he bought it from or even the store 😀. It said be careful when opening the bottle. I opened the bottle carefully, but it still blew out a little and the contents were automatically stirred 🤣. The aroma and taste are both moderately fruity and slightly pungent with a nice accent 😀. The alcohol content is 13%, but it was a solid and tasty sake that didn't feel low-alcohol at all 😀.
