Spring Nigorinpic 73 Today we will have a Junmai Daiginjyo Nama Ooragarami from Yamawasei to compare with yesterday's Hakurakusei Ooragarami😇. As you know, Yamawaboshi is brewed jointly by Yamawa and Hakurakusei in Miyagi Prefecture, and this year, the brewery is responsible for the brewing of the Hakurakusei's Shinzawa Brewery 😀. The special feature is that the hi-ire is a clear sake and the nama is ogorami 🤣. Of course, being a nigori maniac, I chose the raw ogara-mi 😀. The aroma and taste are similar to Hakurakusei's, but the taste of Yamawasei's is clearer😇. I can also feel the tingling and fizzy sensation on my tongue that I didn't feel so much with Hakurakusei 😀. I prefer the taste of Yamawasei, but Kaorin prefers Hakurakusei's taste 😇.

Spring Nigorinpik 72 We have Hakurakusei Ooragarami and Yamawasei Usu Nigoromi at home, so we will try to compare them😇. This year, the brewer responsible for Yamawaboshi is Shinzawa Brewery, which brews Hakurakusei, so I thought it would be fun to compare the two 😀. Today, we started with the Hakurakusei Ooragarami 😀. Hakurakusei is a brewery that claims to be the ultimate food sake 😇. It has the delicious taste of rice, but is very crisp and refreshing 😇. I am looking forward to compare it with the Junmai Daiginjo Nama Nigori from Yamawasei that I am going to drink tomorrow 🤣.

Spring Nigorinpik 71 I've been wanting to drink a strong schwashy sake for a while now, but I haven't been able to find one, so I opened a bottle of this one for sure 😇 It's a two hare, but one hare 🐇 is a gorilla 🦍🤣. And he even has a big bomb💣 so there is no doubt about it😇 I took the bottle out of the freezing cellar and opened and closed it repeatedly for about 5 minutes without it blowing out 🤣. Of course, during the process of opening the bottle, it started stirring automatically on its own, so my expectations are high 😇. Today I poured it into a sparkling glass, but even so, the fruity aroma is rising with fine bubbles😇. This is it, this is it... a strong fizzy sensation that I haven't encountered in a while 😀. The taste is fruity, but the acidity from the carbonation keeps it nicely tight and I really like it 😇. I was interested in this last year but had to give up due to a refrigerator problem, but I'm glad I was able to buy it this year😇.

Spring Nigorinpik 70 I chose this sake because I wanted to drink a sparkling nigori to have a light, sharp, and carbonated feeling😇. I opened a bottle of Nozomu's Splash because it sounded like a splash, but unfortunately I didn't feel that sparkling 🤣. I prepared a splash of nigori for revenge, but after reading everyone's post, I decided to open a bottle of this active nigori Nozomu before opening a bottle of nigori splash because I didn't feel the sparkling sensation as much as I did with the nigori 🤣. It was a delicious sake with a nice tongue feel and a sense of frothiness, but unfortunately I didn't feel the same sense of frothiness as the active one🤣. I had high expectations for this sake because of the perforated cap, but... it is a delicious sake if you don't want a strong schwash feeling, but I was a little disappointed 🤣. I was a little disappointed 🤣 I agreed with myself that the concept of Nozomu was probably not intended to have a great sizzling sensation 😇.

Today, Kaorin and I went to Lalaport near Suita Expo Park to see the Conan movie 😀. It was the first time for me to see Conan in 4DX, and I was so excited to see Conan in 4DX even in the anime 😀. With that excitement, we had a little late lunch at the Expo Park 😀. Today's sake is also from Nagano Prefecture, where Conan is set, and is a light nigori sake. I visited the brewer, Kutsumigake Shuzo, during my recent trip to Ueda, Nagano, but they only sell Fukumugari brand sake, so I bought this sake at Miyajima Sake Shop in Ueda. In case you are wondering, we will be receiving 3 bottles each of Nagano sake from Miyajima Sake Shop for the next 8 months starting in April, so the ratio of Nagano sake is going to increase even more 🤣. Spring Nigorinpik 69 Yesterday's Honkin-san was quite fruity, but today's Mutou-san was even fruity 😀. But the sharpness of the acidity was so beautiful that we could enjoy it without being picky at all 😇. Nagano sake and Nagano sake rice are both high quality and delicious 😇

Spring Nigorinpic 68 The light nigorigo sake we drank today from Honkin-san was also a delicious sake😇. From the moment the bottle is opened, a beautiful and gorgeous aroma is rising 😇. As usual, I mixed it with the supernatant at room temperature and left the mixture chilled 🤣. I felt there was not much difference between the two 😀. The taste and aroma were not so different no matter what way I drank it 😇.

Spring Nigorinpik 67 This sake was also purchased at the last brewery we visited on our trip to Ueda Nagano. Actually, at the Winter Nigorinpic, I bought this Orikarami from Yoshinoya who was just in Hanshin Department Store and it was very easy to drink and reasonably priced 😀. I went to the brewery with a similar image, but when I saw the price, I was a little bit disappointed 🤣. I asked the brewer about it and he told me that the sake they sell at the brewery and the sake they bring to events are completely separate 😅. Finally, the one I could afford was this 500ml sake 😀. The taste is like a slurpy, sloppy, dobrok-like saké with a sparkling finish ❓🤣. Usually sparkling sake has fine bubbles, but this one was like a big bubble like in the Bozu Jigoku (hell) of Beppu Onsen (hot spring), which is a new sensation for me 🤣. The taste is very elegant, just like a pure Dai sake 😇. The gap between the appearance and taste of this sake is very interesting.

Today's sake is also purchased from the brewery 😀. As you can see from the picture, it's a very thick and serious sake😇. The brewery didn't have a tasting, so I thought it would be fun to buy it and take it home 😇. It has a strong mouthfeel, sweetness and umami taste, just like the amount of the cage 😀. But no matter how much I'm not a fan of taste, I can't really taste the rice flavor 😅. I looked closely and found that this was an alcohol-sweetened sake 😅. I assumed it was a junmai type nigori with this appearance and the amount of lees 🤣. It was a delicious sake, but not for my family who likes the robust rice flavor of nigori 🤣. I would recommend the fruity taste even if it is cloudy, but for those who want to feel the rice flavor, it might be a little bit different 😀. If you don't have any preconceived notions, it was a delicious sake 😀.

Today is my father's 99th birthday... his white life anniversary 😀 He is now in a nursing home in his hometown Shimonoseki 😅. He can only drink a little alcohol, but he loves to eat, and until the beginning of this year, every month he asked me to bring him some eel stew, but after he caught a cold in spring, he couldn't eat at all even though his fever had gone down 🥲. I was worried about him, so I went to see him, but he was so depressed that I wasn't sure if he even knew I was here🥲. But I am relieved to hear from the home that he started to eat a little more right after I left ὲ. I couldn't make it home for his birthday today, but Kaorin and I are having a toast while thinking of him 🥂. We chose to drink our family's standard celebratory sake...Shinshu Kamerei's 🥈🐢 today😇. Somehow I felt that silver would suit Hakusyu 🤣. The taste... this year's Gin Kame-san was definitely delicious😇.

Winter Nigorinpik 65 I bought this sake when I visited a brewery in Fushimi, Kyoto earlier 😀. I heard that this tank is only available at the brewery, and getting this kind of sake is one of the best parts of brewery tours, isn't it 😀. This is also a Junmai Daiginjo, so you can strongly smell the fruity aroma just by putting your nose close to it 😀. The more surprising thing is that it is a light nigori, so there is a small difference in the cloudiness of the white, but as usual, I brought it back to room temperature and compared it with the supernatant and the mixture, and they are completely different 🤣. The top clear has a strong umami flavor and a good sharpness, but the mixed one has a fruity sweetness that is also very pronounced and finishes off nicely😇. We are nigori fanatics and prefer to mix the two, but if you want a stronger umami taste, the supernatant may be better for you 🤣.

Spring Nigorinpic 64 Yesterday, when I went to the Expo Park, I found an event called Curry EXPO 😇. So today I'm going to the Expo Park to participate in the Curry Expo again 😀. Now, which sake shall I serve with it ❓🤣. I like to pair curry with sparkling sake, but today I happened to see a friend of mine drinking a bottle of sake from Jukinmu, so I brought along a sparkling light nigori made with rice from our own Jukinmu sake rice 😇. It doesn't have much of an aroma, but the unique sparkling bubbles bring together the flavors of the curry deliciously😇. Sake and curry are both delicious😇 There were 30 curry stores, but Kaorin and I each selected 2 stores to compare 4 different sake curries🤣. Each of the four curries tasted different, but Wakanami's Jukinmu Sparkling Nigori complemented all the curries deliciously😇.

Spring Nigorinpic 63 Expo is being held in Osaka, but the free passport for the duration of the Expo is 30,000 or so...I can't afford it 🤣. So I bought an annual pass for the previous Expo site in Suita🤣. The admission fee is 260 yen per visit and the annual pass is 3.600 yen, so if I go once a month, it will pay for itself 🤣. From now on, I plan to go to the Expo site in Suita whenever I have something to do, so I'll be going here more often 😀. Today's accompaniment for walking at the Expo was a bottle of Itami Morohaku Light Nigori that I bought at Hakusetsu-san, which I visited during the brewery's opening ceremony 😀 This sake is also sold at the brewery's limited sales. This sake is also a limited edition sake from the brewery and can only be drunk here 🤣. The most fun part of visiting breweries is that you can drink special sakes that you can't drink anywhere else😇. I don't think you can find this delicious mixture of freshness and beautiful sweetness anywhere else😇. Anyway, it was a delicious, fruity and wonderful sake😇.

Spring Nigorinpik 62 Today we will open another bottle of sake we got at the brewery 😀. Kaorin said we're having yakiniku today, so I chose a very dry sake 🤣. But I was prepared for it to be dry before I even opened the bottle 😅. I visited Ogawa Honke on my trip to Mie 😀. I was impressed by the integrity of the brewer who said he only makes dry sakes because I like dry sakes 😀. He is a local brewer who distributes locally, but when he made this winter white, his old local customers told him what a spicy nigori sake he was making 🤣. I was prepared from the beginning and took a sip 😇. It's sweet...hmmm❓...or spicy 🤣. It's amazing 🤣. But when I paired it with yakiniku (grilled meat), it drained off the fat from the meat nicely and was delicious 😇. I couldn't drink it by itself, but if you don't like nigori sake because it's too sweet, I highly recommend you to try this sake😇.

Spring Nigorinpic 61 I bought this sake at the brewery when I participated in a Kintetsu Train walking project earlier this year and walked from Saidaiji Temple in Nara to Nara Toyosawa Sake Brewery near Obikaiji Temple via the Heijo Palace ruins 😀. It's a ginjo-shu, so even the nigori has a pretty gorgeous aroma 😀. As you can see, the nigori is quite robust, so it has a sweet sake-like feel on the palate, but you can still taste the robust rice flavor 😀. We compared it with Senzuke's light nigori, but the taste and atmosphere were completely different, and it was a good comparison that made us realize that there is a wide range of nigori sake.

Japanese Sake Fest Osaka Spring 5️⃣ We met a lot of first time breweries at this year's Japanese Sake Fest😇. What surprised me was that even Naohiko Noguchi Institute was participating 🤣. There was a long line of people waiting for this booth as soon as the doors opened 😅. I was allowed to have one drink to commemorate the event, but I didn't really taste it because it was too much of a hassle to wait in line so many times 😅. I was able to compare the sake from the other booths easily, so I preferred to take my time and enjoy the other breweries rather than just waiting in line for the sake from Mr. Noriguchi 😇. There were many other sake breweries that I tasted for the first time, like Kiso Sansen, but my favorite sake of the festival was this one...Hanayuki Ageha Sparkling by Kawazu Shuzo in Kumamoto 😇. The bottle was eye-catching with a beautiful print of a swallowtail butterfly, but the taste was just delicious and one of the most refreshing and delicious sake sparklings I have ever had 😇. I had a great time at the sake festival this time and had a lot of fun meeting people and experiencing new things 😇. The next Japanese Sake Fest Osaka Summer will be held again on July 12.13 at the same Osaka Bay Tower 😀. I hope to participate again as a volunteer 😇

Japanese Sake Fest Osaka Spring 4️⃣ This is another sake that we brought back from Taido, the brewery we helped at the Japanese Sake Festival😇. This limited edition sake was empty with 10 minutes left until the last minute 😅. When I asked the brewer what to do, he said to open the bottle because some customers still wanted to drink it, so I did. The moment I put it in my mouth, I felt it was very sweet and fruity, but at the end, a beautiful spiciness followed and it was a very easy-to-drink sake. The sake from this brewery has a sake level of around 0, and I was a little worried about the sweetness when I was allowed to drink it on site, but I was told by the brewer that this was the dry type of sake, so I recommended it to customers who prefer dry sake when explaining the sake, and I felt I was right 😇.

Japanese Sake Fest Osaka Spring 3️⃣ On Saturday, when I attended as a guest at this year's Japanese Sake Fest, I mainly toured sake that I had yet to try 😀. First of all, I was most interested in Endo Sake Brewery, which is famous for Comet, my favorite sake from Nagano, which I had not had yet😇. I have known the name Comet for a long time and was curious about it, but unfortunately I had never seen it sold yet 🤣. Comet 39MCNAUGHT Junmai Daiginjo It was a very beautiful but gorgeous yet clear and nice sake 😇 Naotora Junmai Ginjo Unfiltered Nama Sake This was the most robust of the Endo Sake Brewery's sake this time, but it had a full flavor. It was a beautifully crisp sake 😀. Endo GOLD Junmai Daiginjo It is slightly low in alcohol at 14%, but it was a beautiful and delicious sake with a fresh aroma and sweetness with a fruity feeling that reminded me of melon😇. Keiryu Sparkling It was a delicious sake that I had a hard time deciding which one I liked best, Endo GOLD or Keiryuu 😇. The taste was very similar and delicious, but I preferred this sake more for the sparkling's schwarziness😇. All of them are delicious sakes with the same presence as my favorite Nagano sake lineage, but with a delicious flavor, fruity taste, and a nice sharpness😇.

Japanese Sake Fest Osaka Spring 2️⃣ Spring Nigorinpic 60 Today, I spent all day at the Japanese Sake Festival venue, pouring sake for visitors at this brewery's booth 😀. The brewery owner was a nice person and recommended that I drink the sake to make sure it tastes good because I'm sure the customers will ask a lot of questions 😇. The sake from this brewery is almost exclusively distributed within the prefecture, so of course it was my first time drinking it, but it was really delicious 😇. The sake I liked the most was the Arabashiri light nigori that I had yesterday, but my second favorite was this Pink Taido 😀 Unfortunately, I have not had the chance to try the light nigori or the pink Taido, so I had to wait until the next day to try them. Unfortunately, all of the light nigori was gone after the tasting and sales, but the sake I liked next was left, so I was able to have it as a thank you for today's visit😇. It was the first time for me to see the customers from the staff's side, and I was happy to see them smile when they drank it and said it was delicious😇.

Japanese Sake Fest Osaka Spring 1️⃣ There are many sake events in Kansai during the year, but the event that our family recommends the most is the Japanese Sake Fest 😀. It's an event where you can get close to the breweries and feel their thoughts directly😇. Last year it was held 3 times during the year, and it looks like it will be held 3 times again this year 😀. The first spring sake event of the year will be held at the Osaka Bay Tower today and tomorrow 😇 This time, I will not only participate as a customer, but also as a volunteer staff 🤣. Yesterday, Friday, I took a half day off from work and participated in the event from setting up the venue 😀. It was just like when I was a student and I had a great time 🙆. On Sunday I will be there as a staff member, but today Kaorin and I went there as customers 😇. First up is Taido from Chiyonen Sake Brewery in Kumamoto 😀. This is my first time drinking here 😀. I mean, Taido is brewed and sold jointly by Chiyozonoen and a local liquor store 😀. I had Daiginjo, Junmai Shiboritate and Usu-Nigori and I really liked the Usu-Nigori the best 😇. I plan to help out at this brewery 🙆 tomorrow.

Spring Nigorinpic 58 On the way back from this year's Shoreki-ji Bodai-Hashiroshi Sake Festival, I walked to the Ogami-jinja Shrine to visit the three sake shrines and stopped by Imanishi Shuzo's Ekimae store in front of the JR station for a little New Year's tasting😇. I was going to leave without buying anything (I already bought a bottle of Takacho's Bodhi Hashiroshi at Shoreki-ji Temple after crying to Kaorin 🤣) because my cellar and fridge were full that day, but this sake was so good that I cried to Kaorin and bought this one too 😅. This sake is really delicious after all🙆⭕️🙆 It has a very nice shwashiness, which is combined with the original sweet and fruity taste, and the moderate acidity gives it a nice clean finish 😇 I was impressed by how they can make such a delicious sake😇. Mimurosugi is also delicious, but I still prefer the local limited-edition Sake 🙆😇.
