Hakusetsu kurabiraki 2️⃣ As expected of a brewery with hundreds of years of history 🤣. We had 5 different kinds of sake to compare in the paid tasting, but the one that surprised me was the dark yellow sake in the middle of the 5 kinds😇. It was made by recreating a recipe from the Edo Genroku period 😀. The sake was just as impressive as its color, with a robust sweet flavor reminiscent of super-ripe old sake and a dark aroma reminiscent of nuts 😇. I decided to take home the nigori sake, which is limited to the brewery 😀. Yesterday, too, we always choose nigori sake as a souvenir to take home 🤣.

Sake Brewery Tour on Foot 20 Today is the 20th brewery that we have started this project. Today is the brewery opening of Konishi Sake Brewery in Itami 😀 I had wanted to visit this brewery since bouken told me about it before. I had wanted to visit this brewery since bouken told me about it before, so I was really looking forward to it 😇. I looked on the map and saw that it was a little more than 10 km walk from my house... I thought I could walk there, so I left at 7am and arrived at 9:30am, passing through the tunnel under the runway of Osaka Airport on the way 😀. I walked as fast as I could, but by the time I got there, there was already a long line of people 🤣. The earliest people were in line before 8:00 😅. Unfortunately, we didn't get a commemorative square, but we did get some sake 😀. Sake freshly opened from the barrel has a sweet aroma of wood and a refreshing taste 😇. We were poured quite a lot of sake and drank it up in no time at all 😀.

Sake Brewery Tour on Foot Today I participated in a sake brewery tour organized by Kintetsu Corporation 😀. I participated in a 10 km walking event from Kintetsu Nara Saidaiji station, past the Heijo Palace ruins, from Daianji temple to Nara Toyosawa Sake Brewery. 🚶‍♀️ Toyosawa-san, which brews a sake called Toyoshuku, is also located in Fushimi, Kyoto 😀 I visited Toyosawa-san in Kyoto before. When I visited Toyosawa in Kyoto before, the store owner told me that Toyosawa originally had breweries in Fushimi, Nada, Nara, and Sennan, Osaka, but they became independent and now only Fushimi and Nara are left 😀. Our reward for walking 10 kilometers was a forced tasting of 5 different types of sake, including a brewery exclusive sake. We were allowed to have as many refills as we wanted, so we compared them and I and Orin both thought the second best was this new sake, Arabashiri Shiboritate 😀 It tasted fruity and vibrant. It has a fruity and vibrant taste, and it's so easy to drink that it's dangerous to drink too much 🤣. The sake that both Orin and I recommended the most was Nigori (nigori) 🤣. I know you might say that even after all the Nigorinpic, it was still nigori ❓, but I really liked the taste of nigori, so I made sure to take this one home 😇.

If you think about it, I've only had 2 bottles of clear sake at home since the beginning of the year, Shinshu Kamerei and Hanamamu 🤣. I had no time to drink clear sake because of the Nigorinpik 😅. Moreover, I'm a poor person and I don't dare to drink hard-to-find sake, so the stock in my sake cellar is very unbalanced😅. I'm perfectly fine with nigori sake still being in the cellar for my tastes, but I'd like to suspend the nigorinpic for a while and continue with the clear sake to balance the sake cellar😇. First, we opened the bottle from Izumi, which had been stored in the cellar for almost a year 😇. Pouring it into the glass, it has a beautiful yellow-green color 😀. The taste is heavy and solid in the mouth, but it is not too strong and spreads beautifully 😇. I can only say that the taste of Imi is just as good as it should be 😇 I'm going to stop drinking Nigorinpik for a while and try Sumisake 😇.

Winter Nigorinpic 35 We suspended Nigorinpic for a while, but we would like to resume it with this UA snow dharma from the snow dharma drinking contest 5️⃣😇 Of the three Senkori Snow Dharma brothers, this one was the most rambunctious 🤣. I kept all 3 brothers in the same condition but only this one started auto-stirring as soon as I opened the bottle and I couldn't take a picture of the supernatant 😅. The taste direction is as expected of the three brothers. I was able to taste the most fizziness, carbonation, acidity, and spiciness from this UA Snow Dharma 😇. They are all different and all delicious, but the one I liked the most was 🐍 and the next was UA⛄️😇. Kaorin says her favorite is UA⛄️ and the next is Mr. 🐍 😀

Winter Nigorinpic 34 Snowball drinking comparison paused 🤣 Yesterday, I got a little early...very early Valentine's Day chocolate from Kaorin: ❤️ It was a nigori junmai daiginjo raw chocolate🍫 from Kaygetsu because they are currently holding the Nigorinpic. I bought this sake on my way home from work, thinking it was the only sake to go with it 😀. Unfortunately, they were just sold out of the four-pack, but they had some small ones left 🤣. As expected from Kaygetsu, this sake is from Kochi, and I found it to have an overwhelmingly strong flavor among the sake selections for the Nigorinpik that I'm currently working on🤣. Maybe not the best taste for our family 🤣. It had a completely different nuance from the CEL24 we drank before 😅. However, when paired with chocolate, the flavors collaborated well and it was delicious 😇. It's interesting that the impression of sake can be so different when paired with chocolate than when drunk alone 😀.

Winter Nigorinpic 33 Snow Dharma Drinking Comparison 4️⃣ The second bottle of Sentori Snow Dharma is this UA Snake🐍 😀. It will be the first zodiac sake of the year 😀. The amount of ori was the highest for the regular Snow Dharma and the lowest for this UA Snake, but it was more fiercely carbonated than yesterday's Snow Dharma, and as soon as we opened the bottle, it started to auto-stir and we couldn't get any supernatant 😀. The taste is a bit lighter and fruitier than the Snow Dharma, but the acidity and spiciness from the carbonation mixes nicely and is delicious 🐍❤️ Taste-wise, Kaolin and I both preferred the UA Snake from here 🐍.

Winter Nigorinpic 32 Snow Dharma Drinking Comparison 3️⃣ This is just my own idea, but I chose the Five Greatest Nigori Sake based on the nigori sakes I drank during last year's Nigorinpic and this year's event 😀. For me, the five greatest nigori are Jikin, Hirotogawa, Ona, Hanazumi and... and this Snow Dharma 🤣. The other 4 bottles I drank this season confirmed the deliciousness of the other 4 bottles, but I finally got to my first Yukidharma this season 😀. I heard that Sentori changed their production this year, so I was really looking forward to it, but it is as delicious as ever 😇. Thanks to the fact that it was well chilled, it didn't blow out and I was able to get the supernatant without any problems 😀. The supernatant and nigori that had been brought to room temperature and the nigori that had been chilled 😀 Each has different nuances. Each one has its own nuances, but they were all delicious 🤣. However, the chilled one was the most tasty as it gave the most nuance of the active nigori with a sense of effervescence 😇.

Compared to yesterday's new sake Kouyuki Junmai Ginjo, which had a beautiful taste even among nigori, this one has a nice, bubbly taste with a firm rice flavor 😀. I have been planning to hold a Snow Dharma Festival since the day I saw the snow falling for the first time, but finally today I am going to hold a Snow Dharma Drinking Contest😇. This year's Snow Dharma drinking comparison will be a simple 5 bottle event with 2 types of Izumihashi and 3 types of Sengoku Snow Dharma 😀 😀 The first one is a new sake, Izumihashi. We will start with Izumihashi's newest sake, Shiboritate Powder Snow Nigori Sake. It's a stable taste 😇. Winter Nigorinpik 29 This is the first challenge nigori sake brewed by Matsuyama Shuzo since its revival in 2023 in Fushimi, Kyoto. I actually had a chance to talk to the head brewer of this brewery, who moved from a major brewery to Matsuyama Shuzo last summer at an event in Namba for the revival of the brewery, and I have been paying attention to it since then. The fruity sweetness and deliciousness filled my mouth in a natural way with no clinginess at all 😇. Delicious 😀 It was a really nice Kyoto nigori sake brewed with Kyoto celebratory rice and a yeast called Kyoto no Koto 😇. And the label was very impressive, beautifully depicting a ten stone boat floating on the moat of Fushimi in the snow 😀.

I always leave it in the room for a while to let the supernatant and the mixture come to room temperature before drinking, but the room is filled with the fruity aroma😇. When I put it in my mouth, melon came first, followed by bitter and pungent taste 😀. As expected of Hououmida, the balance is very good 😀. Winter Nigorinpic 26 Sake Walking 🚶‍♀️ Yesterday I drank a lot of sake on the Osaka Monorail, so today I decided to get some good exercise, so today I walked from my house to Otaki Waterfall in Minoh😇. Today's accompanying sake is a locally distributed nigori sake that I purchased at the brewery last year when I visited the Sanyo Haii Sake Brewery 😀. I brought it again this time in a sake pot 😀. The last time I brought it to Hanayuup, I injected it with carbonation, but the amount of carbonation was not enough and I did not see much effect, so I was looking forward to the result this time, but it was effective enough to bring it outside 😇. The moment you put this drink in your mouth, the fruitiness spreads, but then the spiciness and bitterness immediately follows 😀. It mixes well and disappears quickly 😀. It is a delicious sake that should be distributed not only locally but also nationally 🤣. On the way, we bought the famous Minoh Waterfall's maple tempura and tendon bento, which washed our mouths clean 😇. Less than 20 km round trip today... I walked a lot today too 😀.

Izakaya Monorail Tottori Sake 4️⃣ This sake was also quite maniacal 😀. The sake is usually strained through a bag, but this sake was strained through a colander 🤣. The alcohol content was high at 20 degrees Celsius and there was also a very deep pool of ori (ori) 😀. The label on the back of the bottle says that the recommended way to drink it is to add water and then warm it up or mix it with soda water, but since we were on the monorail, we couldn't do anything with it, so we just drank it as it was and it was a very unique sake in many ways 🤣.

Izakaya Monorail Tottori Sake 3️⃣ This one was the most unique sake in our drinking comparison, here is Hioki Sakura 😀. The appearance is clearly recognizable gold yellow 🤣. The aroma is also unique, nuance of old sake 😀. According to the explanation of the brewer, this sake is made with lactic acid bacteria and yeast from the brewery and matured for a long period of time 😀. It was a little bit too much for me as a child, but it was an interesting sake 😀.

Hi Yasubeyesan 🌞. San-in region's heated sake has a bit peculiar aroma, doesn't it? I don't like it either😅. By the way, it's interesting that Osaka has events where you can drink sake on the tram or monorail 😊.

Good evening, Matsuchiyo-san 😀 This time I drank everything cold, so I didn't feel it that much, but it seems like there are a lot of very peculiar drinks 🤣. You can charter a tramcar and have a drinking party 😀. The heated sake train in Shiga looks interesting too😇.

Izakaya Monorail Tottori Sake 2️⃣ Today we were paired with Tottori Ate bento including Oyama Chicken, but the best Ate was Rakkyo from Tottori Sand Dunes😇! This was paired with this one 😀. There was nothing on the bottle, but it was my favorite nigori sake 😇. It was a delicious nigori with the flavor of rice spreading on the palate 😀. I hope this sake will be part of the winter nigorinpic sake selection 😀. Of course this was my first time drinking it too 🤣.

Good morning, Pon-chan 😀 The good thing about this Izakaya Monorail is that they have a pretty good selection of sake that is not available in many other prefectures, and they pair it with a bento or snack set using local ingredients😇.

Izakaya Monorail Tottori Sake 1️⃣ Today I went to Osaka Monorail's, sake event 😀. I enjoyed the Kochi Yosakoi-go last time and now I will have Tottori Sake on the Tottori Kanibar-go 😀. First of all, the sake that was served as a toast was this Zuisen 😀. The host explained that this sake is not available outside of the prefecture, so it would be a first drink for people in Osaka😇. Of course, it was my first time to drink it, but it was my favorite of the 8 sakes we had today, with the right mix of sweetness, sourness and spiciness 😀.

Winter Nigorinpic 25 For this Nigorinpik, I really wanted to add this sake to the selection. Of course, I had never tried this ogara-mi sake before, but I really wanted to try it 😇. The only Sairai distributor I know in Kansai is a little far away, but I went to buy it 🤣. I compared the top clear sake, the mixture at room temperature, and the chilled mixture, and found the sweetest flavor was the mixture at room temperature😇. However, my favorite was the chilled mixture 🤣. When you put it in your mouth, it goes into your mouth smoothly and cleanly, and when the temperature rises in your mouth, the sweet and tasty taste spreads quickly and lasts for quite a long time without being persistent 😀. I don't think there are many sakes that have such a long lasting sweet and tasty taste but not at all clingy 😇. It was a delicious sake that I really liked 😇
