Today's second category is Gobashi Tratan from Yamaguchi Prefecture. Junmai sake brewed with Yamada Nishiki from Tratan village, clean, dry, crisp, and light. We had Tokyo Bay swordfish with seared sashimi and cold salmon chazuke to finish 😋 #Yaohiro #Yaohiro Tsujido #Tsujido #Fujisawa
Cool, young banana and peachy aroma with a touch of flamboyance.
Watery and light sweetness from the entrance, then spreading flavor and alcohol.
Then, it comes to a sharp end.
I had an easy-drinking ordinary sake made from out-of-spec Yamada-Nishiki! It's a very easy-drinking sake 🍶.
The "five" series is a limited distribution product that is only available at a few stores nationwide.
A new standard product of the "five" series, Red, is now available.
This time, it has a dry finish with a sake degree of +12. This is the first time in Gobashi's history that this level of dryness has been achieved.
The label looks like a "Z" in Roman characters, but it is a corruption of the Chinese character "Go".
Comment from the brewer
I heard that sake and red wine go together.
This sake is so dry that I want to put a "super" on it. Anyway, it is characterized by its refreshing and crisp taste.
Well, finally, to the June issue.
I was so excited to see Mizuchi from RIDE, and as I liked RIDE a lot, I was eager to try it and compared the drinks👍.
Blue 🩵.
This is more sweet and sour than sweet, and quite light! It's a great cure for the days I'm tired of fighting the humidity. Juice that is gone in an instant ❣️ so delicious 😋.
Yellow 💛
This one is more sweet and sour than sour, with a bitter citrus taste! It sinks into your sweaty body. Certified heat-addictive alcohol ❣️ so delicious 😋.
Husband preferred the blue 🩵 and I preferred the yellow 💛😊.
Anyway, we drank them both up, so it was a rainy season moment in our house, even with low alcohol 😅.
Hey Wakata!
Nice drink comparison... I think I prefer the yellow 💛 too 😙! It's a low alcohol, but since it's 2 bottles
So the math says 12 + 8 = 20 degrees 😆.
Good evening, Jay & Nobby 😃Hmmm, I'm officially certified as having the same tastes as you, Jay & Nobby 👍.
There's no doubt it's yellow 😆 If you calculate that you drank up 20 degrees, it's no wonder you're so tongue-tied, this math is going to help ✨.
I like vanilla whiskey too, so I bought the label 😌.
The aroma isn't very fancy, just a little bit of a cloying sweetness.
The mouthfeel is sweet on the tip of the tongue, but in the middle of the tongue, it is quite sweet. The quality of the sake is also thick and viscous, specializing in big sweetness in mellow.
The finish is slightly bitter, so I think they are dissolving the rice quite a bit. The sake level is not only -10, but probably -40.
I got the impression that the flavor was unsettled on the first day. I think it will become more balanced over the days.
It has a full-bodied taste with a firm texture. This is a sake that would go well with Japanese grilled dishes and grilled fish. I got the impression that men would like it. I bought a bottle of Yamaguchi's famous sake as a gift for my father on Father's Day and drank it for myself.
This was the first time in my life that I drank Yamahai.
Perhaps because I drank it after reading the explanation of Yamahai, it seemed more pure than other sake.
It is light and refreshing.
This is an experimental sake produced by Gobashi only during this season.
It is a blend of two types of sake stored in oak barrels, and has a fairly high acidity level.
It also has a barrel aroma, or rather, an aged smell, which I don't really like.
This sake is brewed with Isehikari, an auspicious-looking rice that was born in the Kanda of the Ise Shrine.
It is fruity with a clean aftertaste. The aroma is elegant, unctuous, and easy to drink. It was delicious, with a strong umami of rice.
Rice: Rice (Yamaguchi Prefecture), Rice Koji (Yamaguchi Prefecture)
Isehikari 75%, Yamadanishiki 25
Rice polishing ratio: 70
Alcohol content: 15%.
