九州生まれの山口育ちで、昔から焼酎ばかり飲んでいました。 就職してからは、関西在住です。 60歳を過ぎてから急に身体作りに目覚めてしばらく禁酒していましたが、2022年のベストボディ日本大会で大会を卒業してお酒解禁 そこから最初に飲んだ日本酒にハマり、現在は焼酎も卒業してしまいました。 最近では日本酒専用の冷蔵庫を購入して、常に10本以上の好きな日本酒をストックしています。 日本酒初心者です。

Birthday week is coming to a close 😀. Today we opened a bottle of Shinmasa as yesterday, but since yesterday was Cosmos, we opened a bottle of Tenkaeru today 😀 Kaorin loves nigori and sparkling sake. Kaorin loves nigori and sparkling sake, so she is overjoyed to hear that we are opening a bottle of Amanagashi 😇. And every time she says this is not sake 😅. This is sake 🤣. But it's definitely delicious😇 What surprised me more than that was Kinjaku-san on the 3rd day of opening 🙆. Even though it's the 3rd day, the firm fruitiness is no less than Shinmasa's 😀. No, no, they are all delicious and gorgeous 😇

Thanks for all the congratulatory comments yesterday 🙏. Today is the night after my birthday 🤣. From the night before to yesterday I was deciding what to drink, but from today I'm going to open the bottle with a bang 😀. I'll start with Niimasa 😀. We couldn't get No.6, but we went for Niimasa, so there were quite a lot of them 😀. Among them, we opened a bottle of Cosmos for the autumn season 😇. The comparison with Golden Chun Chun and 65/13 on the second day of the opening was gorgeous 😀. However, I still think Golden Chun Chun is better than Cosmos for its overwhelming presence in the mouth and the flavor that spreads in the mouth and remains for a long time 😅. However, all the sakes we had today were outstandingly delicious 😇

Today is my 66th birthday 😀. When I drank Tanaka Rokugo for my birthday last year, JN advised me to have two bottles of No.6 next year, so I did everything I could, but I could not welcome it into my home 🤣. So while I was thinking about what to drink for my birthday celebration, Kaorin gave me a parcel that arrived a little early in October as a birthday present, and out came this Golden Chun Chun🥇🦆(I meant it as a sparrow🤣) Golden Sparrow Flying 😀 . It's a sake from my hometown in Yamaguchi prefecture and I've had it outside a few times, but I've never seen it in a store 😅. I couldn't find it when I went back to my hometown the other day, so I went to an izakaya in Shimonoseki and I told Kaori-nan that I wanted to drink it at home someday 😇. I looked in various stores but couldn't find it, so I contacted the brewery and they sent it to me via a distributor 😀. Good job, 🙆Kaorin! Thank you, Kaorin💕. By the way, I opened a bottle of 🥇🐢 on Kaorin's birthday this year, so we are connected 🥇🦆 and 🥇😇. The aroma starts with the most elegant and beautiful ginjo aroma ever 😀. The first sip was a big hit and the taste of white peaches was long and elegant 😇.

Birthday eve😇 Today we opened a bottle of 65/13 by Tanaka Rokugo 😀. Actually, this sake is the one I was allowed to drink on my birthday last year😇 Starting with last year's birthday and ending with the day before this year's birthday 😀. I've had a lot of Tanaka Rokuugo over the past year at home and out for drinks, and this 65/13 is my favorite of all the Tanaka Rokuugo sakes 😇. Of course, it could be said that memories are part of the taste 🙆🙆 I'm glad that sake is gradually becoming part of my memories 😇. By the way, there is a brewery, Shiraito Shuzo, in Itoshima City, Fukuoka Prefecture, where the current morning drama is set, and they brew this sake using Yamadanishiki produced in Itoshima 😀. Whenever I watch the morning drama and see Yui riding her bicycle through the rice paddies, I am always impressed by the fact that the sake was brewed in such a beautiful place with Yamada Nishiki grown in such a beautiful place😇.

October 23rd will be my 66th birthday😇. So for a week from today, I will be unleashing my sake collection that I have accumulated over the past year😇. First of all, the night before my birthday, we will be having our family's standard toast sake, Sansho-san 😀. Today's Sake is Yamadanishiki Rokunosozo, which I had carefully stored in the sake cellar for this day 😀. This time we also compared this sake with one that had been brought to room temperature 😀. The basic taste was almost the same at room temperature and chilled, but it tastes better chilled because you can't taste the fizzy chirichiri-ness that is unique to Sansho 😇. I'm going to be opening a lot of stupid sake for a while, so please bear with me 🙇.

Walking around the brewery on foot (1)-2 This is our second visit to Heiwa Shuzo, Kido's brewery in Kainan City, Wakayama Prefecture, where we visited in June this year for rice planting 😀. Today is the harvesting of the rice seedlings planted in June. I'm looking forward to drinking the Agara junmai sake made from the Yamadanishiki harvested this time, which will be released next spring after the rice has been harvested from the rice plantings 😀. By the way, today's toast was a freshly made junmai ginjo shiboritate 😀. The fresh taste of the freshly made sake was brilliant 😀. After the rice harvesting in the morning, we enjoyed a curry lunch, followed by a tour of the brewery, rice mill, and yuzu orchard for yuzu sake in the afternoon, which was different from the rice planting tour. During the brewery tour, we were allowed to drink even the unrefined sake, and the brewer told us to compare the first pressing of this year's junmai ginjo shiboritate, which comes out in October, and the second pressing, which comes out in November. I got the first pressing today, so I'll have to drink it again in November😇. I also enjoyed the change in taste when I squeezed the yuzu from the Yuzu Garden myself and drank it with the syrup 😀. Yuzu liqueur will be fun to drink from now on😇

Following yesterday's Yamae-Nishiki, today we had Hitogokochi from Miko-chan 😀 Hitogokochi is also very delicious 😀. Hitogokochi is also a very delicious sake 😀. The liquor store I always go to in Nagano Prefecture has decided to carry Mikotsuru from October 😀 I had been buying Miko-chan from another store, but since this is the first time Miko-chan is being handled by the store I always go to, I decided to buy it here 😀. I used to buy Miko-chan from another store, but now that the store I've always been a customer of is handling Miko-chan for the first time, I'm going to buy it for the first time 😀. So we're going to do a sake rice comparison of different Miko-chan sake rice 😇. First, I opened a bottle of Yamae Nishiki 😀. It goes down smoothly when you drink it, but then it finishes with a beautiful fruitiness 😀. I knew it! Miko-chan is delicious 😀. But what surprised me even more than that was the Amezure, which was opened earlier 😀. When I compared it with Miko's, even I could tell that the grapefruit was delicious 😀. I'm back to sake activities with Kaorin now that the ❓sake test is safely over 😀. Walking Tour of Temples, Shrines and Sake Breweries 9 Today, we took the Hankyu, Kobe Electric Railway, and then the Hojo Railway to the mountains of Hyogo Prefecture 😀. Hojo Railway is a lovely train with one car running on a single track through mountains and rice paddies😇. We got off at Hokkeguchi and walked about 5 km one way to reach Hokkezan Ichijoji Temple 😀. After paying a proper visit, we started our way back 😇. Just on the way back to Hokkeguchi station from the temple, there is a sake brewery called FUKU-NISHIKI. We had lunch at Fukukura, which is attached to the sake brewery 😀. Of course, we had the Junmai, Junmai Ginjo Autumn Sake, Junmai Daiginjo, and Sparkling Sake, and Kaorin who drank the sparkling sake was happy again, saying it was not the usual sake 😇. I liked the Junmai Ginjo Autumn Sake so much that I carried those two bottles and a few more on my way home 😀.

Today, Kaorin and I went to a martial arts exo-size and worked up a good sweat, so we wanted to drink a shuwa-shuwa sake, so we opened a bottle of the active nigori sake Kamizo, which was strongly recommended by the Matsui Sake Brewery in Kyoto, which we visited the other day 😀. I opened a bottle of Nagayama Shuzo's Yamazaru Aizanazaru, which I purchased after visiting the brewery when I was back home in Shimonoseki in September 😀. It is brewed with Aizan and is called "Ai Yamazaru" 🤣. It tastes refreshing on the palate. It tastes refreshing in the mouth, but the fruitiness comes through at the end, which is the opposite of the usual pattern, but it's a delicious sake 😀. At the brewery, I was able to pour as much as I wanted and taste it, but I was able to experience the taste more by drinking it at home slowly 😀. I hope you will have a chance to try this sake.

Today is the second bottle of Autumn Sake to be opened 😀. As JN said, I have the impression that most of the labels of Autumn Sake are team orange and orange, but for some reason we don't have a single orange Autumn Sake in our house 🤣. But, that aside, today's lunch is Kaygetsu-san 😀. I was under the impression that Kaygetsu was very dry, so I didn't try it, but I thought it would be a good challenge if it was CEL24 junodai and also an autumn sake 😀 It was delicious! Kaorin also compared and preferred this just-opened sake to the 3-day-old Jigin. For me, the Jikin was more... But it was definitely my favorite sake🎊.

Finally finished the second sake tasting test for the sake diploma today 😀. The result was... no 🤣. So today we opened a bottle of Jikin at the disappointment party😇. After all, the balance of Jikin is delicious 😀. I really wanted to express my impressions of the taste with fruit, flowers and cheese like everyone else at Sake-no-Wa, so I took the sake diploma test, but to be honest, it was a pain to practice sake tasting for the past few months 😅. I've been practicing sake tasting for a while now and haven't had time to enjoy sake, so today Kaorin and I went walking in the Expo Park with sake. The sake we brought was Omine-san's cup of hanadbi sake. I saw Pon-chan drinking this sake before and wanted to try it, so I went looking for it. It was a sake with a sweetness that was easy to drink and could be enjoyed even under a fine autumn sky 😀. Finally, tomorrow is the sake tasting test for the second round of the sake diploma 😀. Regardless of the result, I'm happy because once tomorrow is over, I'll be able to enjoy sake again purely and without hesitation 😇.

Finally, my work streak is over and I opened a bottle of Viridian yesterday, but today I opened a bottle of Tazake to get me going for the next week 😀. As I thought, this sake is also delicious without any comment 😀. On the table, we have Nabe-sama, Viridian and Tasake... quite a gorgeous lineup 😀. Even though they went in different directions, each sake was delicious in its own way😇. Tomorrow we will take a week off from Sake-no-wa as we empty the sake and shochu opened for sake tasting practice in the fridge, so please come back next week 🙇.

Finally, the 12 straight shifts of the devil's workday is over 🤣. I knew it was pretty tough for a 66 year old man😅! As a reward to myself for surviving the consecutive workdays, I'm opening a bottle of Niimasa today😇! I chose Viridian from Niimasa's Colors 😇. This sake doesn't need any comment at all 😅. Of course it's delicious 😀. It was a delicious sake with a good balance of sweetness and umami, and even a sense of clarity throughout😇. Tomorrow I finally have a day off, but the day after tomorrow I have to work hard again😅.

We opened a bottle of sake that we purchased at a sake and Japanese pizza coop on the ground floor that we visited for Kaorin's birthday celebration 😀. This store always has several Nabeshima sake on tap with no sales limit, so it's easy to plan a Nabeshima sake drinking comparison😇. Earlier this year we did a 6 bottle Nabeshima drinking comparison and at that time we chose the Kishisuku Jun Dai, but this time we chose the Junmai Ginjo 😇. The jun-dai had a very strong ginjo flavor, but the junmai ginjo had a moderate ginjo flavor, and for me, the balance between the ginjo aroma and the feeling of drinking it was very good and delicious 😀. I enjoyed my first Kitashizuku Junmai Ginjo 😇
