Shorakuji Bodai Hashiroshi Sake Festival 2️⃣ Next, we were served a set of sake made at this place, which each brewery brought back and brewed with their own flavor 😀. From the driest one, Kikuji, to the sweetest one, Takacho, each brewery has its own unique flavor. I felt that Kikuji was a delicious sake, whereas last year I only felt that it was spicy 🤣. But I still bought Takacho as I thought it was the best 😀.

Shoreki-ji Bodai-Hashimoto Sake Festival 1️⃣ Today we participated in a festival where 7 breweries in Nara gathered at Shoreki-ji Temple, which is said to be the birthplace of sake in Japan, to make Bodhi Hashiro sake 😀. Following last year's event, it is a 6 km one-way hike up the mountain from the JR Obioki station at the foot of the temple 😀. Last year, I participated in the festival without knowing anything about it, and I was served this Bodai Sen, a sake brewed by restoring the old sake, and I think I have grown a little in the past year because I could understand the sake that I only felt the sourness of lactic acid bacteria 😇. However, at this price, I could barely taste one glass of sake because I didn't dare to buy it 🤣.

New Year Shinshu Tsurukame drinking combination😇 Yesterday was Gokotsuru's Junmai, so today I decided on Junmai 🐢 😀. It's been a while, or actually the first clear sake of the year since we were currently in Nigorinpik 😇. First of all, I adopted Kaorin's opinion and warmed it up to lukewarm 😇. It's still dry, but the fruity part of the flavor is more pronounced and I could feel the depth of the flavor more 😀. The 🐢san...of course it's delicious, but since I've only been drinking 🐢san hi-ire recently, I could feel more fruity and fresh sharpness 😇. I knew it would be delicious on draft🙆

Winter Nigorinpic 17 As in New Year's Day, today I would like to start drinking together with my favorite Tsurukame from Nagano, Shinshu 😇. The Tsuru is Mikotsuru's dry junmai ogara-mi and the Kame will be the first clear sake of the year 🐢. Today we opened a bottle of Gokotsuru's dry junmai orikagara, which has a strong spiciness as it claims to be dry 😅. Especially the top clear sake served at room temperature has a very strong taste 😅. This is a very hard taste for Kaorin 🤣. Kaorin was given the cooled version and the tightly mixed version, she made a face when she put it in her mouth, but the fruity finish at the end was nicely gone and she was satisfied with the taste 😇. It's such a robust taste, even for those who don't like dry wine. I'm impressed with Miko's ability to convince even those who don't like dry wine 😇.

Winter Nigorinpic 16 I was reading the posts of many people on Sake-no-wa and many of them said that sake with a hole in the bottle tastes better if you open the bottle as soon as possible. Kangiku's nigorigo is another delicious sake that I want to drink every year😇.

Winter Nigorinpic 15 I had made a full-fledged nigori until yesterday, but I would like to leave Senkou's Yukidharma behind and go for a slightly lighter nigori type 😀. I'm going to open a bottle of Garakudai's Yukishita-san, known as Masayo-san in the sake world 😀. I know that Maru-san's tastes are similar to ours, so I know it's delicious from the beginning 😇 Yes, it's delicious😇 Compared to yesterday's nigori, I felt more fruitiness as it was less cloudy 😀. I think I can taste the difference in taste more with the light nigori 😇

Happy New Year, Yasube-san 🎍. Masayo-san's Yukishita is a real treat, isn't it? As Kotaro-san mentioned, there are different labels for the same production year. Mine was a different label. Why? I don't know 🧐.

Winter Nigorinpic 14 Yesterday, we had our first Hirotogawa nigori sake, so today we will compare them with Hanazumi sake which was recommended by Manachie😇! As you can see in the picture, we had Ona-san, Jikin-san, Hirotogawa-san, and Hanaizumi Nigori Sake 😇! This was the most fun drinking comparison 😀. Each sake had a slightly different nuance, but each had a fruity sweetness that was not clingy, so it was really hard to choose one over the other 😇. I haven't had Sengoku's Yukidharma yet this season, but I would definitely rank Yukidharma, Ona, Hanaizumi, Jikin, and Hirotogawa as the top five nigorizake in my opinion 😀. From tomorrow, I'd like to take a break from nigori sake and move on to light nigori 😀. I'm going to take a break from Sentori Yuki Dharma and do the Dharma comparison again 🤣.

Winter Nigorinpik 13 Today we open a bottle of Hirotogawa's nigori. I was not able to get this sake last year because the release date of Hirotogawa Nigori-ne near my office did not coincide with the day I went to the store, so I never went to the store on the few times it was in stock 🤣. I knew it was good from your posts but I had my fingers in my mouth for a year 😅. I finally got it for the first time this year and drank it for the first time😇 It tasted similar to Jikin Nigori. It tasted similar to Jikin Nigori but with more delicious fruitiness 🤣. Of course, the fact that it was opened later than the Jikin may have made it taste more fruity, but it was just as delicious as rumored 😇

Today I went to Umemiya-taisha Shrine and Matsuo-taisha Shrine in Kyoto, two of the three major sake shrines in Kyoto for Hatsumode (New Year's visit) 😀. First, Umemiya-taisha shrine: ⛩️ The sake served here was by Gekkeikan 😀. The sake we bought was from Sasaki Sake Brewery, which has re-labeled the label of their Jyugakudai sake exclusively for the shrine 😀. I was thrilled because I had just recently had a Shuwakimaseri featuring the main deity of the shrine, Shuwakimaseri 😇. Next, Matsuo-taisha shrine: ⛩️ It was bigger and had more worshippers than Umemiya-taisha, but still less crowded than other shrines in Kyoto 😇🙏. The sake is poured from a barrel for 200 yen when you buy a 1,000-yen barrel, and the barrels were owned by Kizakura and Kozutsumi 😇. The barrels were from Kizakura and Kozutsumi. We purchased two masu to commemorate the occasion and had both of them poured. The aroma of the wood was very fresh and the taste of the sake was more delicious than the sake we usually drink 😀. We experienced the New Year with sake: ㊗️

Winter Nigorinpic 12 I was wondering what to choose for the white representative against the red Chibijin 🤣. Since we are in the middle of Nigorinpic, of course I wanted to choose a nigori type for both red and white, but somehow I thought a white nigori would have a very different taste from beer 😅. I wanted a cloudy, low-alcoholic, refreshing sake that would also be suitable for beer lovers... 😅. So I chose this Masumi Sparkling Sake Orikarami. The ori is just a little bit of ori, so it looked slightly whitish 😀. The taste was just as refreshing as I imagined it would be, and even my dad, who is not used to sake, said it was delicious, so I'm glad he enjoyed it 😀.

Winter Nigorinpic 11 Annual tradition😇 On New Year's Day, we bring red and white sake to Kaorin's parents' house...although it is on the upper floor of the same apartment building😇 Kaorin's father usually only drinks beer, so we tried to choose a low-alcohol type sake that would be easy to drink😇. First of all, the red sake is LOVE PINK from Taiebijin, which was easy to drink and tasty last year😇. But ❓😅😅 It looks totally different from last year 🤣. Last year it was nigori sake and when mixed it was a beautiful cloudy pink, but this year it was an ogara-mi type and it was a clear pink 😀. The appearance was quite different but the taste was delicious 😇 I'm glad my dad was happy to drink it too😇.

Winter Nigorinpic 🔟. Yesterday Ona wrote 8️⃣, but actually I miscounted and it was 9️⃣, so today is the 🔟th sake selection in the Nigorinpik 😀. In celebration of the double-digit number and New Year's Eve, I'll be drinking Jikin's nigori today😇. I was at work until just a few minutes ago, so it doesn't really feel like New Year's Eve 🤣. The top clear liquid is... the taste of Jikin's usual sake😇. But it tastes even better when mixed 😀. Today's dinner was a kimchi nabe followed by New Year's Eve soba noodles, but today's lineup of Yukigumo, Ona Nigori, and Jikin Nigori were all delicious sake, so they didn't lose out to the kimchi nabe at all 😀. The one I liked the most was Jigokin, but I think that's just a matter of taste and it depends on each person😇. I'm writing this in the queue for Hatsumode, and the day has changed 😅. This sake is the type that is served directly from the brewery in a special pot😇. It's a real "nao kumi" sake 😀. The pot was previously purchased at the brewery and has Fukuju's mark on it, so the next time you buy it, you only have to pay for the sake that is in it 😇. I always visit the brewery with the pot because I can enjoy the freshly made nigorizake 😀. It is a very tasty nigori sake, so if you have a chance, please visit the brewery 😇.

Hi Yasbay 😃. With the special bottle, it's intoxicating to carry sake that has a gassy feel: ☺️ I also use a growler to carry craft beer! I guess I could even do a picnic with chilled sansu in it 🧺.

Hi Aladdin 😀 I always only used it when I went to buy sake, but it's convenient to use it that way too 😀. Fukuju also pumps non-fizzy sake directly into bottles, but only fizzy sake is sold in special bottles 😀.

Sake brewery tour trip on foot 16 Our final destination today is a sake restaurant called Sakabayashi at Kobe Shushinkan in Fukuju😇. I love to have sake soba while having a set of two different sake tasting sets here 😀. The sake soba is served with sake poured over the top of the zaru soba, and it is delicious 😀. Total distance traveled today was about 15 km 🤣. It was a fun walk with a variety of sake 😇

Hi Pon, good evening here too 😀. I've been to Fukuju many times already and enjoy it every time 😇. They are open for lunch, but from 2:30pm they have a drinking session, which I recommend because it's reasonably priced 😀.

Good evening, Matsuchiyo! There is a saucer under the colander, so you can drink it as it is, or you can mix it with soba-yu (buckwheat paste) as they bring it to you 😇. You can enjoy it in various ways until the end 😀.

Walking Brewery Tour Trip 15 Today's main destination is Izumi Sake Brewery. I always pass by the brewery when I visit Kobe Shu-shin-kan in Fukuju, but I have never been able to visit because the brewery is closed on Saturdays and Sundays 🤣. I was able to visit for the first time because they are open on Saturdays only during the winter season 😇. We tasted Senzuke and Amber Izumi and compared them, but it was Amber Izumi that was more fruity 😀. I had decided to buy only one bottle for my refrigerator, so I had a hard time deciding between Senzuke and Amber Izumi's light nigori... 🤣

Sake brewery tour on foot 14 After leaving Imazu in Nishinomiya, I walked through Ashiya and on to Kobe 😀 There were several large breweries along the way. There were several large breweries on the way, but they were full of foreign groups, so we passed them and came to Hamafukutsuru's Ginjo Workshop 😀. Here, we had a comparison of Kukura's Junmai Daiginjo Yamadanishiki, Omachi and Aizan 😇. The color, aroma, and even the taste of the different rice varieties were very different 🤣! By the way, I and Orin liked Aizan the best💕.

Walking Sake Brewery Tour Trip 13 For our second visit today, we moved to Imazu no Hama and went to Tokuwaka 😀. It is a very small sake brewery, but one of my favorite breweries because they have always been polite and kind to me on the few occasions I have been there. Today we had the chance to compare a freshly made nigori sake and a nigori sake that was made last year and left for a year 😀. We had a comparison of the freshly made nigori sake and the nigori sake that was made last year and left for a year 😀. After a year, the taste and color had changed beautifully 😀. And here we also got the light nigori that was just made yesterday😇 They say I am the first purchaser😇. This sake is a rush entry to Nigorinpik 🤣.

Sake Brewery Walking Tour 12 Today, Kaorin and I started our last sake brewery walking tour of the year in the nearby Nada Gogo area in the morning. After taking the Hankyu and Hanshin trains, our first stop was the Ozeki Sake Brewery in Imazu 😀. We were served a limited edition of Shiboritate Daiginjo-nama-genshu and Junmai-nama-genshu from Sekijuan 😇. The 19° Nama-Nama sake was a big hit in the morning 🤣.
