I've been into special junmai sake lately, and this Tasake was the one that got me into it 😇. It was a delicious sake with a strong rice flavor, but not too heavy and easy to drink 😀. I used to not like Tasake that much, but recently my image of it has changed quite a bit, maybe because my tastes have changed a little ❓🤣.

Continuing on from the Nakagawa family's Tamako-san from earlier, we had another autumn sake today 😀. Today's sake is from Jyuseki in Fushimi, Kyoto 😇. I've had Jyuseki-san every season since winter, and while the autumn sake has a strong umami flavor, it has a rounded taste and is truly a delicious autumn sake 😀.

I went to my favorite liquor store because I got a call that they started handling a new product 😀. It was my first time to drink Imanishiki😇 The first one in stock was this hiyaoroshi 😀. My first fall sake of the season, Tamako from Nakagawa Village 🤣. It's probably a very sour sake, but the acidity seems to have rounded out over the summer, making it a very well-balanced sake 😀. It was a sake from Nagano that I would like to try again 😀.

Memories of tomo's welcome party😇 It was the first time for me to meet tomo-san, but I had a great time with my usual Kansai members 😀. This izakaya served 100cc bottles of sake with a card-type description 😇. I'm not a big fan of this style of tasting... I'm practicing blind tasting at home with a few random bottles of sake that I keep in small bottles for sake tasting practice, so I feel like I'm taking a sake tasting test and I don't feel comfortable 🤣. However, it has been a while since I had Kaze no Mori and it was delicious😇 I remember fondly that 2 years ago, we compared 5 bottles of Kaze no Mori's 807 with different sake rice 😀. At the time, I had just started drinking sake and couldn't express myself well... I still have the same stupid tongue, so it seems impossible, but I'd like to try it again soon 🤣.

I've been drinking only Yamaguchi sake at home and at events recently, so today I'm going to Nagano sake for the first time in a long time😇. I visited the Wadaryu brewery in spring, but to my surprise, they were sold out of all the draft sake including Tomisui... The president was sorry that I came all the way from Osaka and introduced me to a soba restaurant where we can drink Wadaryu with delicious soba noodles 😀. This time, I checked Wadaryu's website and it looks like they have all Noborizui-san, but they don't sell it online😅. I emailed the president of Wada Ryu and he seemed to remember the unfortunate Osaka customer and specially sent it to me directly from the brewery😇. It's Junmai, so the aroma is mild, but the taste is gorgeous and you would never guess it's Junmai 😀. Another one of my favorite sakes from Nagano Prefecture 🤣.

Yamaguchi Jishu Ishin 4️⃣ Here's another sake from Hagi City that I had my first taste of, Treasure Ship 😀. The name and label gave me a classical image, but it was actually quite easy to drink and delicious 😇. The Yamaguchi sake event this time seemed to be all about drinking, with each sake brewer pouring their sake and no dispensers, as well as all-you-can-eat buffet meals.

Yamaguchi Sake Restoration 3️⃣ In Yamaguchi prefecture, there are many sake breweries in Iwakuni and Hagi, but I often drink sake from Iwakuni, and only Toyo Bijin from Hagi, but I haven't tasted others🤣. This time, I went to Choyo Fukumusume's booth to try to get some of their sake that I hadn't tasted yet 😀. Here we were served a Daiginjo and a limited edition Nama Nigori Junmai 😀. It was a dry nigori, but just like Amami's dry ten, it was a very delicious sake with an elegant and umami taste, but with a robust flavor😇. The sake shop I often go to in Ibaraki has a small amount of Choyo Fukumusume, but I have never seen this nigori at all, so I asked the owner of the store today and he told me that the limited edition is not available 😅. It's a dry nigori that I would love to drink at home, so it's a shame that it's not available 🤣.

Yamaguchi Jishu Restoration 2️⃣ We started off with the brewery Amami in my hometown of Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi Prefecture😇. Since we were there, I decided to have a Junmai Daiginjo Akaban Oumachi and a Hariten, both of which I haven't tasted yet at Amami 😇. The Junmai Daiginjo Akaban Omachi was as good as expected to some extent, but what surprised me was the Karaten 🤣. I had never had a dry sake from Amami, which is known for its sweetness and umami, but in a good way, it was a delicious sake that greatly betrayed my expectations 😇. It has a core of sharpness in its umami flavor and is not at all cloying 😀. I would like to drink it slowly at home this time 😇

Yamaguchi Jishu Restoration 1️⃣ Today I went to the Yamaguchi Jishu event that was in Nakanoshima, Osaka 😀. I was looking forward to this event with 18 breweries from my home prefecture of Yamaguchi participating 😀. The first Autumn Sake of the season was Hatsumomiji's Aki 😇. This brewery names their sake for each of the four seasons, but this was the first time I had the autumn sake Aki😇. It was a mellow and very tasty sake 😀. And to our surprise, there was a raffle during the event where 250 people won a bottle of sake provided by each brewery, and Kaorin won a bottle of Junmai Daiginjo😇! Kaorin won a bottle of Junmai Daiginjo 😇. Well done, Kaorin 😇

Today's sake was Kinkan Kuromatsu from the hometown tax return gift from Iwakuni, which we received yesterday 😀 It is a junmai sake, so it didn't have much aroma, but the taste of the rice was very good. It is a junmai sake, which means that the aroma is not too strong and the taste of the rice can be felt well 😀. It was an easy sake to pair with a meal without feeling too much alcohol 😀. Tomorrow, Kaorin and I are going to a Yamaguchi sake event in Kitahama, Osaka 😇. There are many Yamaguchi sake that I like, so I'm looking forward to it 😇.

The first of this year's hometown tax returns... this time it's a set of Iwakuni Gozo sake and Iwakuni specialty snacks from Iwakuni City 😀. First of all, we started with Otters, which we haven't had in a while 😀. I haven't had Ottersai 45 in a year 😀. Actually, a year ago, in order to get certified as a sake taster, I practiced blind tasting by randomly selecting 4 bottles of sake each day in small batches of more than 10 bottles 🤣. I have a stupid tongue, so my answers were always different and absurd, but the only one I could figure out the brand each time was this Ottersai Jun Dai 45 😀. Of course it was delicious, but for me it was the only sake with a unique aroma and flavor profile that I could recognize immediately 😇. I haven't had this sake in a year, but I still have the exact same impression of this sake as I did a year ago😇.

Before we started the comparison, we expected that the back side of the bottle would probably be more highly rated in our family of nigori enthusiasts, but we were surprised when we tried it🤣. There are differences in the nuances of taste, but they are both so delicious that it is hard to say which is better 😇. So this match is a draw at a high level🤣.

I became a Junsei supporter when I visited Tomihisaiki last year and received 6 bottles of Junsei throughout the year, but this is the last one 😀. Compared to the Jun-Dai and Jun-Gin Junsei I've had, this sake was more flamboyant, but the high quality rice was directly conveyed 😀. Moreover, the woody flavor derived from the wooden vat is unbelievable 😇. It was quite different from the Junsei we have had in the past and a little dry for our family, but it was still delicious😇. I hope to be a Junqing supporter again next year 😀.

Yesterday, I went to the Sake Festival at Osaka Takashimaya 😀. At the booth of Dewazakura Sake Brewery, I had this liqueur called "Dodana-dasu" along with other Japanese sake 😀. Dodana dasu" is a Kansai dialect word for "tsukkomi", which is similar to the Kansai dialect word "donna yanen" 🤣. It is made from puree and juice of pears, peaches, grapes, apples and cherries from Yamanashi 😀. The texture was very smooth and the fruit was very complex and aromatic 😇. I heard from the brewer that it tastes great not only with soda, but also over shaved ice or ice cream 😇. Today I walked to the Expo Koue in the morning and worked up a sweat, so after taking a bath at home, I had some over ice cream and some with soda, and it was just as delicious as the original sake 😀.

We opened a bottle of sake that was prepared for the recent brewery opening at our house, but was not opened until a week later 😀. It's a low-alcohol summer sake with a cute print label by Masayo Garakudai, who is well-known at Sake no Wa. I was sure someone would choose it 🤣. It was a very nice sake with a presence that didn't make you feel low alcohol, but flowed beautifully through the bottle😇. I'm a little disappointed that I didn't get to drink it with you all 🤣.

On this day, we also received pineapple and pear from Nozomu-san's whimsical recipe, which is overflowing with Tochigi love ❤️. 😀 We also received Nozomu-san's whimsical recipe last year. Last year we also had Nozomu-san's whimsical recipe, but last year it was bananas and American cherries, wasn't it? Last year, I could feel the fruitiness of the sake, but this year... it's still delicious 😀. The fruity sweetness was balanced by a firm acidity, and while I didn't get that much pear, I did get a good amount of pineapple 😇. I can't wait to see what kind of whimsy Mr. Toji Ono of Nozomu will do next year 😇.

The next day passed in a daze after a big feast of fun 🤣. So, in an attempt to get back to a more relaxed mood, we chose a sake called Haguro 7 from the Jo series by Aizumusume 😀 . The previous sake we had from the Jo series was a bit dry for our family, but the one we had this day was more umami-guchi with a bit of fruitiness 😀. I heard that each sake in the Jo series is made with rice from a single rice field, but I don't know if the difference in taste is due to the difference in rice fields or because we are getting used to dry sake a little bit more 😅.

Thank you for participating in the brewery opening 🙏2️⃣ 1️⃣ This is the last sake for this event, Jikin's Kimoto Akaban Omachi😇. In the 12 bottles I chose this time, I had one bottle each of Jikin-san, Shinshu Kamerei-san and Shinmasa-san 😀. However, I had prepared 5 more bottles each for Mr. 🐢 and Mr. Shinmasa in the additional order, but I didn't hear from them at all 🤣. I guess everyone is in favor of Jikin-san ❓😅😅. Anyway, the brewery party ended without any problems. Thanks to the organizer, Umaisan, and everyone who attended, we were able to have a fun day 😇 There were a lot of things we didn't do well, but please don't let this stop you from coming back for the second Yasubee Kurabiraki 🙏 🙇‍♀️🙏

Thank you for joining us at the brewery opening 🙏2️⃣ 0️⃣ The time for the sake party went by quickly and it was time to call it a night😇. We were all asked what we would like to have as our closing sake and everyone was in favor of Jikin😇. I thought Hakutsuru-Nishiki would be good for Jikin, but Mr. Bouken suggested that Akaban-Yumachi was also good, so we decided to open a bottle of both 😇. Well, Jikin is definitely a delicious sake no matter which one you drink😇.
