Let's start with the standing aroma. Cemedine? No, maybe banana 🤔It also has a sweet aroma.
When you put it in your mouth, it has a slight sweetness, and the acidity is stronger than expected, giving it a tangy texture. At the end, you can feel a good spiciness along with a pleasant umami.
With gingerbread. The sweetness of the pork and the ginger give this sake a sweet and umami taste that makes it smoother on the palate. A good match 👍.

I probably drank it all in one night because I was playing mahjong. I'm not sure if it was a good idea or not 😱.
I remember that it didn't have much peachiness like Yumachi, but I am sure it was delicious!

Local label for Hirotogawa. First time I saw it! They have a special junmai or higher spec out of the prefecture, and this one is junmai, so they separate the labels. And this label was used as the main label a long time ago.
I had it at room temperature, and it was the usual Hirotogawa that would go well with food, and I thought I would buy this one if it were available.
This is a bottle of nigori from Hirotogawa, released in 2024.12. To be honest, it was quite difficult to obtain this season. To be honest, it was quite difficult to get it this season. It sold out in no time... I went there first thing in the morning on the second arrival and was finally able to buy it!
I opened the bottle six months later in June, so I was pretty naive about the fizz, but right after I opened the bottle, it started to slowly bubble up and finally blew up! I was reminded once again of the strength of the bubbles.
Although it is a December saké, it is not a bad saké no matter what time of year you drink it! It is very tasty and goes well with strong flavored meals in winter, and in summer you can feel its freshness!
It has an excellent sense of balance between sweetness, flavor, and acidity. It's a great example of what I'm talking about. I can't write much about it because I drank it so fast, but I hope you will forgive me if I say that this is the maximum praise I can pay to a delicious sake, as always.

Today is Tanabata, and we are celebrating with a total of 100 bottles of nigori sake this season at our house 🎉!
This is the second appearance of Hirotogawa nigori sake this season.
Last season we wanted to drink Hirotogawa Nigori but finally couldn't get it...so this season we got two bottles each of Jigokawa Nigori and Hirotogawa Nigori as soon as the season started😇.
I was prepared that I would not be impressed when I first drank them since they had been stored for more than half a year, but that was not the case at all. Even though it is not called "active nigori", the bottle was opened slowly, but even with automatic stirring, a nice aroma spread at once and the tongue was well-stimulated😇.
I knew a nice nigori would remain fresh and tasty even after a little bit of storage 🙆🙆.
The 100th bottle was also nice 😇
