I happened to get a bottle of Kawanakajima Genmai Daiginjyo Aromatic Sake, so I opened the bottle.
Kawanakajima Genmai is always good enough for Junmai Ginjo, but apparently the brewer visited the liquor store the day after Craft Sake Week in May and was able to get a rare bottle in stock!
It is named "Aroma Sake", and in addition to the beautiful sweetness and flavor of Kawanakajima Genmai's rice, it has a lingering aftertaste and a rich, deep flavor after swallowing, which makes it a very satisfying sake!
Rice polishing ratio: 35% (Yamadanishiki)
Alcohol content: 15%.
Mitsui no Kotobuki's summer sake. The aroma is much lighter. The attack comes in with an apple aroma flavor, but the drinkability is the same as that of Mitsui Kotobuki's summer sake. The sweetness and acidity are quite restrained, and the taste is completely different from Sengoku's Kabutomushi, which is also a summer sake but with less sweetness. It is also delicious. And if I had to choose a favorite, I would say I like Semi.
Sentori beetle. Fresh aroma of lemon or lime. Oh, it's so sour! The mention of "lemon squash for adults" is quite accurate. But...personally, I think it could be a little more sake-like. It feels like drinking wine.
I've been drinking out a lot lately, so I haven't been able to drink at home.
It's been 6 months since I bought it and this is my first snoclet.
I was a little nervous when I removed the outer stopper😅.
The first aroma is a hint of koji and acidity.
When you put it in your mouth, you feel a slight carbonation.
It has a slight bitterness, refreshing acidity and sweetness.
It is refreshing and you can gobble it up.
It was delicious ⛄🍶.
Igarashi's Honjozo sake. It has a clear and refreshing rice aroma mixed with a slightly sweet flavor. I imagined the taste would be refreshing and crisp, but was a bit surprised to find it sweet and sour with a good umami flavor. Even so, the refreshingness that is typical of honjozo can be felt in the aftertaste. It is a good and reasonably priced sake. If it were easier to obtain, I would be very grateful for it as an everyday sake...
S.tokyo by Matsumidori, with a refreshing aroma of muscat and lychee. It has a fruity, understated sweetness and acidity, with a rather strong astringency that makes it a light sake perfect for early summer.
I've always wanted to try Igarashi. Finally I was able to buy it. Aroma of sweet rice. Oh, wow! Sweetness, sourness, fizziness, and a clean finish. It's labeled "very dry," but the juicy sweet and sourness stands out, so maybe "super clear" is more appropriate than the impression of "very dry. I am glad I bought it even though it is only one bottle.
Comparison of high-cost sake
The second bottle is Hirotogawa's Special Junmai
This sake is also available for about 1,500 yen, and its taste is a rich sweetness that you can enjoy!
Rice polishing ratio: 55
Alcohol content: 15%.
Tenmei's warehouse cherry blossoms. It smells slightly like cherry blossoms... or is that an illusion? The flavor is rich and the sweetness is moderate. It is not the image of gorgeous cherry blossoms in full bloom, but a cup that gives the impression of strength to endure the winter, waiting for the time when they are in full bloom.
