Thank you for participating in the kurabiraki 🙏1️⃣ 2️⃣ The last of the 12 YASUBAE First Choice bottles was this one from Imi Sake. It is said to be hard to find, but you can get one or two bottles a month at a local liquor store 😇. Actually, Pon-chan told me before that she had never had this sake before, so I decided to use it as the last sake for the closing ceremony😇.

Thank you for participating in the brewery opening 🙏 2️⃣ Hanamup is another staple sake in our house 😀. Kaorin once said in front of a store owner at an outing, "I prefer my student's Hanayuup to my teacher's Jyushiyo" 😇. Well, I guess it's a matter of taste 🤣. We are able to have a stable supply of Hanamup thanks to the fact that there is a store near our house that sells it consistently 😇. This is a matter of my preference, but among Hanamaru's many different sake rice varieties, I personally like this one the best 😀. This time I served it second because it was completely my favorite 😀.

Following yesterday's Machida Shuzo Nigori, today we had a Jungin Sumi Sake from the same Machida Shuzo 😇. I wish we could have had the same Miyamanishiki nigori and sumi sake or the same Tokujun nigori and sumi sake for the sake comparison 🤣. I'm quite jealous of my friend Nao888 who compared Miyamanishiki nigori and sumi-shu 😀. That said, the comparison was quite enjoyable as well 😀. As you can imagine, it had a core but also fruity and clear taste 😀. We are nigori enthusiasts who love nigori, and considering the rice flavor and sweetness, we liked the nigori better in our house, although only slightly 😀.

I love nigori, and this fruity Machida Shuzo was quite robust, but I enjoyed it 😀 I love nigori after all 😀. I still love nigori 😀.

We just opened a bottle of our staple sake... Akita Sake Komachi's Nama Sake 😀. Up until now, we've had all of Hanayuup's sake in 1 sho bottle, but this is the first time we're having it in a Yongou bottle 🤣. I read on Sake-no-wa that everyone was happy with Hanamaru's Shogou bottles, so I bought a Shogou bottle to try it out 🤣. However, we love Hanamup-san in our house, and if you have room in your sake cellar, you might be happy with a 1.5 liter bottle 🤣. Hanamamu-san is consistently delicious😇. This weekend, the Osaka Japanese Sake Festival will be held in Bentenmachi, Osaka on Saturday and Sunday, and I will be there as a volunteer staff 😇. I really wanted to be a sake brewery staff member pouring sake for everyone, but I ended up being a guide for both days 🤣. I will be hanging around the venue both days wearing a sake taster T-shirt, so if you come to the venue and see someone wearing a sake taster T-shirt, please say "Yasubeyesan" to him 😇.

I have successfully completed the 100th Nigorinpic 😀. Here's a look at the sake stocker and all that's left is clear sake, so I'm going to give it a while before restarting 😇. Today's sake to be opened is a collaboration between Kabishin-san from Okayama and my neighbor Kinoshita Meishu-shuten 😀. The person in charge from the brewery happened to be at Kinoshita when I visited the store, so I tasted it and then bought it! 😇 This sake, as the name suggests, has muscat in the front 🤣. With an alcohol content of 8 percent, it was an interesting sake with a low alcohol content and a strong image of muscat 😇. I will be opening the clear sakes in my house one after another for a while from now on😇

Summer Nigorinpik 86 Continuing from yesterday, we had summer nigori, Hatada ⭐️ squash against the Ramune label 😀. Actually, this sake is from a brewery we visited last year on a tour organized by Kyukura on the day of the Shiga brewery opening, but we couldn't bring it home due to the limited number of bottles 😀. The sake is made by second fermentation in the bottle from re-fermented mash that is squeezed in a wooden vat🤣. It tasted like... an adult banana squash 😇. Yesterday's Ramune Label was a transparent sake, but this one was a fruity squash with a sweet and sour banana taste... delicious 😇.

Yesterday was a sudden sushinomi with my son, but today the Shinshu sake festival resumes again 😀. Today's sake to be opened is a special junmai sake from Kawanakajima Genmai 😀. This was another delicious sake😇 Yamasan-san and Shinshu Kamerei-san... they are in the same family of deliciousness 😀. It was fruity, but very beautiful and clear... and the umami from it made it a delicious sake with a refreshing finish 😀. It's a Nagano sake, after all 😇

Spring Nigorinpic 78 Last year, I had the 1st and 2nd Urasato's light nigori at different times and was surprised by the toji's ability to make each one different and delicious 🤣. So this year, I decided to compare the 1st and 2nd Urasato's Usu-Nigori at the same time and kept the 1st one in my sake cellar waiting for the 2nd one to come out, but for some reason, the store where I usually buy Urasato's Usu-Nigori did not stock the 2nd one this year 😅. I finally missed the chance to drink it and have dragged it all the way here, but this time I'll just have the 1st 😅. It's still the same as last year, but it has the same firm sweet/easy taste and sharp finish 😇. But I'm sorry I couldn't drink the 2nd one this year because the 2nd one was more to my taste preference last year 🥲.

Third day of Golden Week holidays Yesterday's mountain climbing was very hard on my body, and today, Kaorin and I have sore muscles in our legs from this morning🤣. I guess you can't win against age 🤣. So today we took our usual walking course to the old Expo Park 😀. Today at the Expo Park, they are holding a food and beer festival with local specialties from all over Japan 😇. So today we got our food and beer locally 😀. But I made sure to bring my own sake 😇. Today's accompaniment was a visit to a local liquor store where Kabishin was having a tasting event 😀. This liquor store regularly holds tasting events for Jamishin 😀. It seems I happened to be at the second tasting in a row, following the last one, so they remembered me and gave me this as a freebie 😇. I usually buy only Junmai type, so this was my first time to try Kabishin's Asoe and they did a good job of adjusting the taste 😇. I think it is a very reasonable sake since they gave it to me as an omake, but if so, it is a very cosy sake 😀.

Today is the day of the Shiga warehouse opening😇. However, I gave up participating because my cellar is full and I have a purchase ban and I can't resist buying when I go to the brewery opening 🤣. So today, I'm going on a Kyoto Sagano Walking tour of temples and shrines: 🚶‍♀️ From Daikakuji Temple and Osawaike Pond to Matsuo Taisha Shrine 😀. On the way, we had our lunch with drinks on the banks of Katsura River while looking at Watatsuki Bridge😇. Today's accompaniment was Junmai Daiginjo Yamada Nishiki by Hanamura 😇. I'm a big fan of Hanamup's sake, and I choose Hanamup every time I check in to 400 check-ins 😀. This time we walked a bit early to see the cherry blossoms, so it was an early appearance with a check-in of 599 🤣. 600 check-in will be going with that thing🙆. By the way, I came back today with 10 km, a shorter distance than usual 🚶‍♀️

Following last week, I walked to the Expo Park again this week to see how the plums are doing 😀. They are still a step away from being in full bloom, but they are looking much prettier than last week 😀 The weather was nice and the profile of the Tower of the Sun seen through the plum blossoms is also quite beautiful 😀. The sake to go with today's bento is a new sake from Shinshin-san in Okayama, 2024 Houjoukunen no Houjou Katsumatsuri. Compared to the fruity sake I usually like to drink, this sake is a bit drier and has a beautiful yet robust flavor the moment you put it in your mouth 😀 But you can also taste the sweetness at the end. But at the end, you can taste the sweetness and it finishes nicely 😇. The weather and scenery were great, and we had a great time with delicious sake 😇. And I was able to walk well 🚶.

If you think about it, I've only had 2 bottles of clear sake at home since the beginning of the year, Shinshu Kamerei and Hanamamu 🤣. I had no time to drink clear sake because of the Nigorinpik 😅. Moreover, I'm a poor person and I don't dare to drink hard-to-find sake, so the stock in my sake cellar is very unbalanced😅. I'm perfectly fine with nigori sake still being in the cellar for my tastes, but I'd like to suspend the nigorinpic for a while and continue with the clear sake to balance the sake cellar😇. First, we opened the bottle from Izumi, which had been stored in the cellar for almost a year 😇. Pouring it into the glass, it has a beautiful yellow-green color 😀. The taste is heavy and solid in the mouth, but it is not too strong and spreads beautifully 😇. I can only say that the taste of Imi is just as good as it should be 😇 I'm going to stop drinking Nigorinpik for a while and try Sumisake 😇.

Our family's annual holiday performance walking 🚶. Actually, Mr. Aladdin saw my Fukuju sake pot before and advised me to fill it with San-do and go to the park for drinking 😀. I didn't have the courage to try San-do from the beginning, so today I decided to bring Miso Nishiki from Hanayuup, infused with carbonated water from my soda maker at home 😀. I even prepared a lunch on the way and walked to Ryokuchi Park in Toyonaka for a sake lunch😇! The soda was a little under-infused, so I didn't get much of a sizzling sensation, but the sake tasted great while it was still cold😇. I knew Hanamup would be delicious no matter how you serve it😇. Today's walk was 15 kilometers and I enjoyed it 😇

Finally, we are slowly moving into normal mode 🤣. Today's sake is Hanamup, a staple in our house😇 Today's sake is Junmai Daiginjo Aizan, which is a bit more luxurious than the other Hanamups 😇. Just had it last year on the eve of my birthday 😀. I blush when I read your comment at that time😅. The comment at that time was...too beautiful and not enough. I like Hana Yuu's Dewa Sanzu Junmai Ginjo and Kaorin likes Oumachi Junmai Ginjo... 😅. It's very beautiful but has a strong umami flavor and is still very tasty 🤣. We've been drinking sake for only half a year, it seems we're still too young for such a delicious sake 😅. By the way, we were able to drink Kinjaku until today and the aroma and luxurious flavor remained until the end😇.

We are still newbies to Japanese sake, but we are not very good at dry Niigata sake 😀. We knew that Yamashiroya was a famous Niigata sake brewer, but we had never picked up a bottle until now 🤣. This time, I happened to find Yamashiroya's Origara-mi at a liquor store I often visit, and as I love sparkling nigori and origara-mi, I thought it would be a good challenge for Yamashiroya as well 😀 It is not very effervescent, and it opens well. It didn't have much fizz, and when I opened the bottle, there was no ogori-gara-mi at all 🤣. I also felt it was a little dry, but that didn't bother me at all 😀 It was so delicious that I didn't mind at all. It was so delicious that I didn't mind it at all 😀. Maybe I'm gradually broadening my horizons 😇.

Kansai Sake-no-Wa Sakai Bring Your Own Off-line Meeting (7) I brought my own sake 😌. I was going to open it at the last minute, but I was able to buy Tenkaeru thanks to Mr. Yoohee, so I put it off. I thought the date might be a little old to bring it to the off-line meeting in November (purchased in July and manufactured in January...), so I brought it this time 🙄. We managed to reach the 400th milestone without a hitch 😀. Of course, our number one is Kaorin's favorite, Mr. Hanamup 😀! Out of the 400, Kido-san had the most bottles (20) and Hanamup-san had the second most bottles (12) 🤣. But due to some adult reasons, Hanamaru-san is only bottled in 1 sho (1.5 liter) bottles, and the rest are mostly 4-gou bottles, so in terms of the amount we drink, Hanamaru-san is number 1 in our house 😀. This is the only Hanamup that we currently have in stock, so we decided to open today's bottle with this Hanamup's Omachi 😇. Hanamaru-san's sake has a beautiful and delicious sharpness with any rice, but I still prefer the nama-shu with any rice. From now on, I can only get fire-brewed sake for a while 🤣.

The other day, Kaorin and I went to the Kinoshita Meishu Store, which is located near my house 😀. When we were there, the brewer from Okayama Prefecture's Kamishin Sake Brewery was there and they were having a tasting event, so we both had a chance to try some 😀 We didn't get to meet him that day, but it seems that bouken-san was there as well 😀. We didn't meet him that day, but it seems that bouken-san was there too 😀. Although it was different from the sake Bouken-san chose that day, Kaorin seemed to like this nigori, so we took it home 😀. According to Kaorin, this sake tastes like summer orange liqueur with soda 😇.

Tasted and purchased at a tasting at Kinoshita Meishakuten Rice: 17% Omachi for Koji rice, 83% Akebono for Kakemono rice As I wrote in my post about the tasting, satoumi rice is rice made with oyster shells as fertilizer. Sweet and juicy with a hint of pineapple 🍍. There is a bit of bitterness at the end, but I highly recommend this sake for those who like sweet and tasty! Much better impression than when I tasted it. Very sweet and tasty 😋.
