Chikoma newly handled at our favorite liquor store. Chikoma is a sake brewery located in Shirakawa, Fukushima Prefecture. It is a light nigori, which is rare for summer sake. There is almost no scent of noboritaka. The mouthfeel is moist and sweet with a hint of sourness. The aftertaste, which has a slight sake-like aftertaste, is quickly capped off by a mild acidity and bitterness. There is no sharp taste, and the overall impression is round and gentle. However, the ......... stopper is ...... loose! When opening the mouth, I took off the stopper and the stopper popped! It's a good thing that the cork fell out when I removed the stopper when opening the bottle. The problem starts here. When I shook the bottle up and down the next time I drank it, the movement of the liquor inside opened the stopper. Thanks to this, the carpet was soaked with liquor. It's not good that the stopper opens almost without resistance. So I replaced the stopper with an appropriate one. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

When I was getting into sake, a sake shop owner asked me if I wanted to bring a hanamup when he showed me the best refrigeration temperature for storing sake. I was a newcomer to the store, so I was very happy to be able to buy Hanayuup. I remember I was very happy to be able to buy Hanayuup because I was just starting out as a novice. The one they sold me at that time was a fire-aged Misato Nishiki. At that time, all Hanayuups had a light pink label. This is the first Misato Nishiki since the current label was changed. The top-tasting aroma is a floral and fragrant ginjo aroma. The mouthfeel is moist and gentle sweetness with a light flavor. From the very first sip! This is what Hanamup is all about! I am strangely convinced. The fruity aftertaste is followed by a calm acidity and a long lingering bitterness that quickly finishes off. Ahhhh, delicious! Thank you very much for the meal! This has nothing to do with sake. I'm posting mostly from my phone, but I'm finding that typing and conversion often don't work with the latest Sake-no-wa. The cursor also goes to strange places, and it's really "annoying" to use. Flick is fine in other apps, but it seems to be a problem only in Sake no Wa. Is it OK for you guys?

Sime is Hirotogawa I guess this is the old label and font, but I don't really know. There is a slight sake flavor on the upper aroma. The mouthfeel is gently sweet with a strong umami flavor. The closing acidity and bitterness are also gentle and mild. It is a delicious sake full of gentleness. Thank you very much for your kindness!

Next up was the Red Wu. This was my second jade this year, but I have not posted it yet, so here it is. The overall flavor is clean and well put together with a good sweetness and umami. It has a nice lightness that does not make it feel too heavy. As expected of Mr. Akabu. It is a gem suitable for early summer. The green object on the top is grated garlic. The special soy sauce sauce and the power of the garlic are unbeatable! Thank you very much for the meal!

Next, Du Lai Although there is a store near our house that carries this product, we have not had the opportunity to get a chance to try it. It has a clean, fruity taste with the core strength of junmai (pure rice), and the umami is also sufficient. The finish is also refreshing with a mild acidity and bitterness, so it is easy to drink and enjoy. The entrées here are inexpensive! Well, it's okay if that's all you want because you get 6 items as an appetizer, but there are many items on the menu that you'll be interested in. Thank you very much for the food!

Shitaizumi, my first brand. It has almost no upfront aroma, and the mouthfeel is classically delicious, but the slight acidity that comes at the end is nice, making it a delicious sake that you will want to drink one after another. I finished this bottle with what I drank. I asked if I could pour the little bit left at the bottom of the bottle into my glass, but was told no because it was for the master's consumption. He said that in order to serve the sake in its optimum condition, he checks every change in taste from the time the bottle is opened to the time it is empty. I have never seen a shopkeeper who takes sake so seriously. He said, "All sake store owners do this, don't they? He said something like, "All sake shop owners who serve local sake do it, right? Thank you very much for the sake!

We visited Kuroda, a famous yakitori and harami yaki restaurant in Kokubuncho. It had been 8 years since my last visit. The last time I was here was after Junji Inagawa's live performance. There was a customer from Glay's live performance that was held on the same day next to Kuroda, and we had a lot of fun together. After leaving Kuroda, we headed to San Ichimaru-Sen. I could drink many kinds of drinks. For a start, we went to Kangiku. It is a clear, crisp, sweet and sour summer sake. It is delicious no matter who drinks it! Thank you very much for your hospitality!

It has been a while since I drank Kurosawa. It was produced in 2022, so it has been a little while, but it's been well managed, so you can drink it with peace of mind. When I first opened my mouth, I was not sure if I could finish the whole bottle, but after a week in the fridge, I was surprised! I was surprised! The heady aroma is of aromatic citrus fruits! On the palate, the acidity, which had been so insistent, has been rounded out, and a good sweetness has appeared instead! It's good! It has opened up. The salty acid bitterness and a slight astringency finish it off nicely and crisply. I'm glad I left it here! Thanks for the treat!

Kuririn drinking comparison, followed by Kanazawa Nishine The light orange one. This one has a gentle sweetness and moist flavor! It is a sake that will make you feel tender with just one sip. Even Putin should try this one! I was surprised to see such a difference in flavor just because it was grown in the same town, but in a different area. Hmmm! It's so deep! Both are delicious, but I personally prefer Rokugo Higashine. Thank you very much for the food!

A gift from a fellow sake drinker who, for some reason, calls himself my disciple. I don't remember taking an apprenticeship, nor am I the kind of person who could take one, Misato Nishiki from Misato Town, Akita Prefecture. The rice and specifications are the same, but the comparison is based on the different rice-growing regions. It is very interesting from a trial point of view! Now, first up is Rokugo Higashine. The pink one. It has a very pleasant sourness from a refreshing sweetness! It is very good! Thank you very much for the treat!

Kaorutaka obtained through a black market deal with a sake teacher. Thank you, as always, for this precious bottle for me! So, I sent it to our company's sake lovers' party. I wondered if it would be a good idea to drink it while eating yakiniku, but yes! It's not bad at all! It is a middle-class sake with a comparatively strong flavor, so it has a strong presence without being overshadowed by the meat. The sharpness is also very clear, so the fatty feeling is also smoothly washed away. It is a rare sake, and I don't know if the brewer is doing it or not, but please pass it on again next year. Thank you very much!

Another bottle was opened at the Kizuna Festival. Golden crystal that saw the light of day at Izakaya Shinkansen. Gold Crystal label expressed with a characteristic figure. It is one of my personal favorite labels. The top-tasting aroma has a very classical sake flavor. The mouthfeel has a light umami from a hint of sweetness. First contact is lighter than expected. The finish is again full of sake-like aftertaste, with a mild acidity and a strong bitterness. I had imagined it to be a more mellow and stand-alone sake, but it is considered to be a high performance food sake. During the festival, I served it with tempura and dried scallops that I bought and brought with me, and it was quite good! Thanks for the food!

The weekend was the Tohoku Kizuna Festival. This event brings together festivals from six prefectures in the Tohoku region, and was started in 2011 as the Tohoku Rokkonsai to pray for the recovery from the earthquake disaster. The opening of the festival rotates among the prefectures, and this year's festival was held in Sendai! Aomori Nebuta and Akita Kanto are hard to miss, but for me, Iwate Sansa Odori is the best! I wanted to go to the Nagashi Odori dance on Saturday, but I got the wrong time and had to wait two hours before the festival to get a spot, so I was able to get a bench at the base position under the Sendai Tanabata decorations. Well, let's wait for 2 hours while drinking. The top aroma is a fruity ginjo aroma. The mouthfeel is sweet and acidic, which is enough to convince anyone to drink it! The moment you take a sip, you will be saying, "This is delicious! The flavor is also very good. The umami is also well balanced, and the gentle bitterness at the end is also nice! Each layer of sweet, sour, umami and bitter flows in a gradation. We are determined to repeat it! The Nagashi Odori dance started with Fukushima Waraji Festival, followed by Sendai Suzume Odori, Yamagata Hanagasa Ondo, and Iwate Sansa Odori. Miss Sansa was so cute that even the old man was swooning. Thank you very much for the dinner!

Travels in Kesennuma - Extra Edition After returning home, I asked my wife to wholesale the dried bonito we had bought, and had a drink while soaking in the afterglow of the trip. I bought a 4kg-plus extra-large bonito. Even though most of the first bonito is dry, this size has a lot of fat, and the cut end shines with a marbled color. The belly, back, and garlic slices are thrown into the mouth. Blissful time. I paired it with a bottle of Miroku. It is a summer sake from Otokoyama in Kesennuma. It has a dry base, but with a hint of sweetness, and when combined with the fat of the bonito, it is blissful time ver.2. The end result is a refreshing way to wash away the blood and fat of the bonito. This completes the endless bonito loop "Bonito Purgatory󠄁 Hell". Other sashimi festivals, such as flatfish, sea squirt, and scallop, leave you with the best afterglow, and your trip to Kesennuma is oh-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so! I'll put up some pictures of the fishing at the end. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

Travels in Kesennuma Part 2 From the second day, we went fishing, which was the original purpose of the trip! We heard that recently there is no fishing even in Oshima Island. My wife was taken to the breakwater and I to a friend's boat in Oshima, and we attacked root fish. The boat team went around from Ura-no-hama to the oyster farming area of Nagaura Suisan of Asadora. It is indeed a very shifty area, but it is not impossible to catch fish. We landed 6 flounder of about 30 cm. The reason why there are no splendid pictures of flounder is because we were concerned about the guide of the bowfin. It rained in the evening, and we had to leave the fishing rod. Now, the hanging mouth of Kuroryu. It was my first time to drink it, and I had an image of it being rich and mellow, but it was surprisingly refreshingly sweet and tasty! Grandma Mama's Group Story #6 Oh no! If I'm having a good time, it's already the last train! The fun time of talking and laughing goes by so fast, doesn't it? The last drink is Isoboast! There is only one store in Shiogama in Miyagi Prefecture where you can buy this sake, so there is no way to avoid drinking it. Even though it is a honjozo (honjozo sake), the upper aroma has a fruity flavor. The mouthfeel is clear and fruity! The acid bitterness at the end is also mild, and the sake is so well made that you do not feel that it has been soaked in alcohol. The party ended here. On the way home, Mom gave me a precious bottle of sake as a thank-you for my visit to Tenmei. It's at a level where I have to wonder when to open it, so the review is yet to come. Thank you very much for your hospitality!
