Haneya Junmai Ginjo Hiyoroshi
Rated 4.4
Rice: Gohyakumangoku from Toyama Prefecture; rice polishing ratio: 60%; alcohol content: 15%; sake alcohol content: +3.0; acidity: 1.5
It has a good balance of sweetness, acidity, and full-bodied flavor. The acidity is a perfect match with the sweetness and umami of the rice, which is moderated by the aging process. The full, clear umami fades out with the beautiful acidity. Brewed with Kanazawa yeast, it has a dignified taste. The touch is soft. The convergence is also a little mild, with a light aftertaste of sweet, sour, spicy, and bitter.
Subdued aroma
Delicious with a hint of savoriness!
The mild aroma is a change from the standard Haneya. The clear aroma disappears easily into the back of the throat, thanks to Haneya's careful production. The full, clear umami is enveloped by a beautiful acidity and quietly fades away. It is a deeply delicious hiyaoroshi that can be savored slowly and carefully, and one never gets tired of it. Enjoy it with seasonal delicacies as the autumn season deepens.
I am drawn to seasonal products and buy hiyaoroshi.
It has a gentle, rounded flavor and is easy to drink without any corners. It does not have strong characteristics, but I was able to drink it calmly. It was delicious. Thank you for the food 😊.
When opened, the aroma is mild.
When you put it in your mouth, the deliciousness of rice comes in a flurry and it finishes dry.
At first, it was very smooth and I was enjoying it, but after the third glass, it started to feel heavy and I decided to drink it over several days.
When I drank it later
The first time I drank it, the sweetness of the rice came out and it became more mellow and tender, which I prefer.
However, the dryness was almost gone, so if you prefer the first taste, you should ❌...
I thought Haneya was a sweet and easy-drinking sake, but I was surprised that Clear Blue is quite dry.
I actually got infected with corona here, which I didn't get at all when clusters and other things were popular, and I haven't had a drink in about 20 days of alcohol.
Maybe that's why I felt drier than usual this time 💦.
It's hiyaoroshi season around here, but there are still some summer sake left...
I'll replace it soon.
Hi Jai & Nobby ☀️
I think it is indeed a blink-and-you'll-miss-it taste for dry lovers (lol).
And it was nice and clear 🍶.
It's a good thing about sake that the taste changes later in the day, but it certainly can be a blink of an eye when it's to your liking (lol).
Gentle on the palate, with a gentle sweetness. It is a beautiful sake with a refreshingly light summery taste and a mellow aftertaste.
Accompanied by nori tsukudani (seaweed boiled in soy sauce).
