Nagano Sake Festival ④
Kaorin went to Kyoto for her college reunion today, so I was excited to see what I could enjoy by myself, but the phone rang first thing in the morning to inform me that the equipment was out of service due to a work error by the manufacturer😅🥲.
I went to the center to see what was going on, but they managed to get the equipment back up and running, so I came home, but it was halfway through the day and there was nothing I could do... I guess I'll just have to drink this one 🤣.
The sake I'm going to drink is the Kutsukake Shuzo's Fukumugari, which I bought on a brewery tour in Ueda this spring.
The brewery is located in Nagano prefecture and the people who were born in the year 59 formed the "Gokujo" group and they brew a theme sake every year.
The rice polishing ratio is 59%😇.
It was a sake with a lot of flavor 😀.
I didn't really feel the fruity feeling that is typical of Nagano sake, but the core umami was very drinkable, like an expression of the sake's assertion 😀.
If I could, I would like to try the other 4 bottles from the other breweries in the Gokujokai, but I guess that would be impossible 🤣.
Hi Jay & Nobby 😀
I had the time to enjoy it all by myself without Kaorin 🤣.
I went to Kutsukake Sake Brewery to buy Mutual, but the brewery didn't have it 😅.
This is a limited edition sake from the May 11 brewery opening. I really have a weakness for limited edition sake. 💦.
It was my first time to visit this brewery, but the weather was nice and I was healed by the greenery in the nature-rich brewery in the mountains. ⛰️
I don't know the specs of the rice, but it has a fresh aroma, and is a fresh sake that can only be made with unblended sake.
😋😋😋😋
Cup of sake 🍶.
Souvenir of my trip to Ueda, Nagano 😆.
Cold sake. Light, easy to drink. Easy to drink. Little umami. A little bitterness. Slightly bitter.
Purchased around Ueda station, I believe.
Since we are staying at Bessho Onsen, we had a sake from Ueda. It is super dry, or rather, it is as refreshing as water. It went well with the Nanbanzuke.
We compared three kinds of local sake at Ueda Bessho Onsen in Shinshu.
Among the three types of sake, it was the most light and dry, with a clean and refreshing taste.
28th brewery on a walking tour of temples, shrines, and sake breweries
The last brewery we visited today is Kutsukake Sake Brewery, which is well-known for its brand name "Mutou" 😀 It is about 4 km away from Wadaryu.
It is about 4 km away from Wadaryu, but the weather was nice and it was a nice walk 🚶.
It's fun to walk around in a completely new and unfamiliar place 😀.
I looked around at the store attached to the brewery, but all they had was the Fukumuyo brand, not Mutou at all 🤣.
When I asked the store owner, he told me that Mutou is a brand for distributors and the brewery only carries Fukumuryo 🤣‼️
I compared 4 types of Junmai Daiginjo, 2 types of Junmai Ginjo and Junmai, and I could tell that the other 3 tasted the same, but the Junmai Daiginjo tasted completely different and clear 😇.
I wondered what to take home, but I was told that one of the Junmai-Daiginjos is only available at the brewery, so I got that one 😀.
Hi Yasubeyesan 😃.
I'm so jealous of your sake brewery tour in Nagano, lots of walking and lots of tasting 🥰I'm looking forward to taking home a lot of things to open when I get home 🥂When you visit a brewery, you get familiar with their sake and it makes you feel special ❣️
Yasubeyesan, I was surprised that there are quite a few breweries in Ueda 😳and I'm very thankful for the road trip story as if I was there with you ☺️ ✨️ Please relieve your walking fatigue with a drink tonight 🤤💕💕!
Hi, HinaHanaMama 😀.
Yes, that's right 😇
I visited Ueda because I like Shinshu Kamerei in Ueda, but I like all the sake breweries in Ueda after visiting them 😀.
But some of the breweries don't have sales channels in Osaka, so it might be difficult to get them😅.
Hi Nao888!
Ueda is a fun town with 6 breweries, 4 of which have direct sales outlets, and a sake shop that only sells local sake from Shinshu 😇.
I can't tell you how good I am at writing 🤣.
I drank and requested Fukumuyo a long time ago. It was a gift from Nagano 😊.
Well, my impression of the drink was a bit different from what I imagined after reading the back of this one.
First, I drank it well chilled and made eye contact with my mom and said, "What is this? We both agreed that it tasted like the futon we got out of the closet at our grandma and grandpa's house at the beginning of the year. But we agreed. Mom said it tasted like shochu.
It was a little too sweet for our liking, and when we heated it up, the umami and sweetness increased and it became better. Sorry it's not the brewery's recommended way to drink 💦.
Each sip had a ning? Hmm? I was talking about my parents' house and laughing as I drank it and realized I had lost a lot 😌Thanks for the drink!
I opened the lid, took a sniff, and thought, "What's that? It smells good. ❗️ and the whole thing is clean with sweetness and umami with a spiciness in the second half 😊The closet feeling is gone. This is the taste of Nagano 😋 wonder😮.
Gold medal winner at the Delicious Sake in a Wineglass Awards 2023🍶.
No cloying taste and a moderate sweetness. Sake with a clean, slightly dry throat that leaves an elegant aftertaste ✨.
YOMOYAMA NAGANO in Osaka ㉗
59 brewing] booth.
This is a unit of five Nagano Prefecture sake brewery heirs who were born in 1984.
The person who greeted us was Yuya Muramatsu, the 6th generation toji of the Kakuguchi Shuzo Brewery of Hokko Masamune.
Hokko Masamune.
It has a modern taste with a light and refreshing mouthfeel. A little too light.
Sei Masamune
Another light and refreshing sake, with a slightly more robust umami and sweetness than Hokko Masamune.
Sekizen
This sake is made with apple flower yeast. It is fruity and sweet. I think I prefer it to the Sekizen apple flower yeast we drank today.
Honro no Matsu
Delicious sweet and sour. It is easy to drink, but the aftertaste is a little bitter.
FUKU MUGARI
It has a hard and refreshing taste.
I asked him, "Are you all close?" I asked him, "Yes. We are completely classmates, so we get along equally without hierarchy.
I didn't go to the booth of Fukumuyo, so I registered at Fukumuyo.
