Kaorin had to work late, but I finished work early, so I put my skills to the test 😇
For the sake to go with it, I chose Eikoufuji's Hakuyo Ochigara-mi Hakuyo 😀.
As usual, we compared the top clear sake mixed at room temperature and the chilled one 😀.
As expected from Eikoufuji, all types are delicious 😀.
The one I liked the most was the mixture at room temperature, but the chilled one was also delicious 😇.
What surprised me even more was the comparison of the previously opened Shichibonspear, which was served chilled and heated 🤣.
I have always found the sweetness and umami to be stronger when heated, but this comparison showed that the heated version was more dry 🤣.
Kaorin said that when she heated it up, a spear flew at her 😀.

I enjoyed Robin's favorite Shiga sake at different temperatures 😀.
The first day I tried it cold and at room temperature, it was sweeter at room temperature, but as soon as I heated it up, it changed its expression 🤣.

The other day, before visiting Joyo Sake Brewery in Kyoto, I went to see the Aoya Plum Grove and was disappointed that I could not see any plums at all, so today I went to see the plum grove at Expo Park 😀 .
Unfortunately, the weather was on and off with light rain, but I brought a bento lunch and fruit cakes... and the sake to go with it was Miyakanbai's Origaraumi, which I thought was the only sake for ume ume ume ume ume ume.
The aroma of this sake calls for spring.
As soon as the bottle is opened, the gorgeous aroma spreads out.
The aroma is even stronger when you bring the bottle to your mouth 😇

Following the comparison of Wakamusume's sake from my hometown in Yamaguchi Prefecture, we had the Winter Otoshiri sake from Omine Sanzukuri, also from Yamaguchi Prefecture 😀.
The Winter Nigorinpik has passed the 40th selection, but we still have more than 20 bottles of Nigorinpik selected sakes in our house 🤣.
I'm going to finish the Nigorinpik once I reach 50 bottles and then move on to the next Nigorinpik in the spring, but I think it's not the right season to have a beautiful Yuki-Onna here in the spring, so I'm opening the bottle today 🤣.
As usual, I compared the top clearings mixed with the top clearings brought to room temperature with the ones left chilled, but I think this Osa tastes best chilled 🤣.
It has a strong carbonation and is very fruity😇.
Kaorin and I wondered what kind of fruit it was 😀.
Melon? Green apple? Gruffre? ... the one that fit best was the muscat feeling 😀.

When I visit the brewery, I buy just one bottle as a commemorative, but even after tasting and comparing, my choice ends up being nigori 🤣.
I don't know how much I like it when they have so much nigori in stock 🤣. haniwa56Less aroma and a clean, fresh green apple taste. It is delicious! The alcohol content is a little low, which makes it easy to drink. It is easy to drink too much. So I end up drinking them all together like this because I can open them if I have a reason 😅.
Tobiroki is also very hard to find, but it's a clear and beautiful sake like Junmai Daiginjo 😀.
It is the most similar to Niimasa among the sake we compared, but I think it tastes more transparent 😇.
I guess it's a matter of taste here and opinions will differ... 🤣
What surprised me more than that was the Imi 🤣.
At first it was a clear golden yellow, but over time it turned a bit dull 😅.
I thought it might have been caused by poor storage, but the taste became deeper and tastier 🤣.

As I wrote yesterday, tomorrow is the anniversary of my mother's death, so every year on the National Foundation Day holiday, I go on a walking tour to visit temples in the 33 sacred sites in the western part of Japan 😀.
I don't have enough merit to go to the temples 🤣.
This year I went to Otsu, Shiga and asked for offerings at two temples, Ishiyama Temple and Mitsui Temple 😀.
Since I was in Otsu, I decided to visit the sake brewery, Hirai Sake Brewery, where Asakayousei is brewed 😀.
I thought they were open because the information said they were closed irregularly, but unfortunately they were closed today 🥲.
I decided to open a bottle of Shinmasa today on the Shin-Kaisoku train on my way home to open a bottle of delicious sake when I was disappointed 😇.
When I got home and read Sake-no-wa, I found that Aladdin-san drank the exact same sake😇.
I'll leave all the comments to Aladdin, but they are all delicious even though they are completely different from both the Izumi and Jikin sakes we compared 😇.
The deep, sweet and umami flavor of the Imi is outstanding, the sweet, umami, bitter and spicy of the Jikin is well balanced, and the fresh, delicious rice flavor of the Shinsei Viridian can be enjoyed...they are all delicious😇!

Snow Dharma Drinking Comparison 2️⃣
Today, I'm going to try Izumihashi Junmai Activated Nigori.
It took me quite a while to open the bottle even though it was stored at a low temperature, but I was able to get the supernatant and compare the two 😀.
Compared to yesterday's new sake Kouyuki Junmai Ginjo, which had a beautiful taste even among nigori, this one has a nice, bubbly taste with a firm rice flavor 😀.
Even though they are from the same company, the basic taste is similar, but different nuances are well expressed in this sake😇.

Snowdrift drinking contest 1️⃣
Today, I saw powder snow flurries for the first time this season😇.
Sorry to those who are having a hard time with the heavy snowfall, but it doesn't snow around me in Osaka and finally today I saw powder snow falling around me for the first time 🤣.
I have been planning to hold a Snow Dharma Festival since the day I saw the snow falling for the first time, but finally today I am going to hold a Snow Dharma Drinking Contest😇.
This year's Snow Dharma drinking comparison will be a simple 5 bottle event with 2 types of Izumihashi and 3 types of Sengoku Snow Dharma 😀 😀 The first one is a new sake, Izumihashi.
We will start with Izumihashi's newest sake, Shiboritate Powder Snow Nigori Sake.
It's a stable taste 😇.
Last year, we had a similar group of people compare the three types of Yukidharma sake, and it was just as good as last year's. 😀 The remaining 4 bottles of Yukidharma were all new to us.
I'm looking forward to the remaining 4 bottles of Snow Dharma 😇 haniwa56My first snowman. I've been meaning to buy one every year, but couldn't, so I finally did.
The aroma is indescribable. The silky taste of nigori and the petitiveness of nama-shu. The balance is exquisite. Just as I had hoped. The alcohol content is low, so it's easy to drink. Delicious! My wife and I finished the bottle together. I hope we can buy it again next year. haniwa56Purchased for warming sake. I drank it cold right after opening the bottle, but it had little aroma and drank like water. I heard it was recommended to be heated, so I immediately heated it up. It was delicious with a nice aroma and a sharp taste. It is easy to drink and delicious. I drank it cold (at room temperature) 3 or 4 days later, but the aroma was sweet and full. I've had a few sips of Amami's light nigori Momoten, but this is my first time drinking this nigori Yukiten 😀 I like Momoten, but this time I had a chance to try this one.
I like Momoten, but the Yukiten I had this time was even better than Momoten😇.
The aroma was citrus fruit, but my impression was pear 🍐.
The second day, Mr. Sanomorosugi is still a delicious ripe banana, but this one is a delicious pear 😀.
It's a matter of taste, but in my family we might prefer the pear... of course the ripe banana is outstandingly delicious😇
