Sake from a sake brewery in the northern part of the prefecture, located in the famous production area of Hachitan-Nishiki, Hiroshima's representative sake rice. The brewery has been working on it since the rice was first produced. The name of the sake is "Miwa Sakura" instead of "Miwa Zakura," which I had been misreading for a long time. It is said to be dry, but the quality of the sake is relatively soft. It has a nice sharp aftertaste and is easy to drink. It is quite my favorite 😋. I had it cold, but I think it can also be served warm.

Purchased with Tenryo sake cup at Okuhiroya in Kayashima. They stocked it because it was well received at a Saga sake tasting event held for sake retailers. Probably not normally available in the Kansai region. The rice is made from Hokkaido's Kitashizuku. I know Nabeshima also uses Kitashizuku. It has a beautiful sake quality for the rice polishing ratio. There is a slight sweetness, but it is also slightly thin and heavy. It also has a nutty taste. It tastes like nothing else.

A "sacred" store found near Nishiki Market in Kyoto. Great cold drink when you are finally able to sit down after a long day of walking 😀. It was slightly carbonated and went down my throat so well I didn't mind the 19% alcohol content 😅. You can't tell the alcohol content in modern sakes. Beautiful construction.

I returned home for the holidays to participate in cleaning out the oversized trash at my parents' house. After sweating a bit, I found Izumikawa in the fridge and immediately opened a bottle of this unexpected trophy 🎉. It has a slightly soft sweetness, a gradual flavor, and a bitterness that comes in the latter half of the bottle. It is smooth and easy to drink! It is the big brother of Tobiroki, and I enjoyed Izumikawa for the first time in a long time 😘.

Izumikawa's Funakuchi. It is a slightly orizumi (orizumi is a slightly cloudy, raw sake), so the first thing to drink is the top clear liquid. Japanese Sake Fest @ Osaka Bay Tower (・ω・`;) I see that the sake is from Nada. I recently found out that there is a small sake brewery in Nada and bought some Houmusume, which was outstandingly delicious! And this Hamafukutsuru! This is also wonderful! It has a beautiful breadth of flavor and just the right amount of body. The best part is the price: about 1,100 yen! I wish there was one in my neighborhood! When I go to Kobe for Onsen (hot springs), it is so close to the station that I might even stop by a sake brewery just for this!

I got a bottle of summer sake "Kashoku", which is rarely seen even in my hometown, because there was some left at the liquor store!
