We saved the Hakurakusei we had brought for another time and opened a bottle of Okutanba provided by my sister and her husband, as we did last year. It is dry but slightly fruity and easy to drink. I bought this at Mori Sake Brewery on my last trip to Hirado! The president of the company was in charge of the cash register that day😆. He politely introduced us and told us that it tastes best chilled in a wine glass! It is a versatile sake that also makes it delicious! I once thought that Kichiemon Nakamura was a great sake because my brother is a Kabuki fanatic, and this sake may have the same weight. If it's a regular sake, I imagine it would be a Junmai sake, and it would be a very bad one at that! I would definitely like to try the junmai sake! Mr. Ota is in Shinjuku! I bought it at a sake shop in Kintetsu Department Store. I can't read "mother-of-pearl" 🤣I heard it is read as "Uzume", but if you type "den" for mother-of-pearl in your phone, it will come up 😁. If I lived a normal life, I would never use this kanji 😅. I got the impression it's a pineapple with a bit of bitterness 🍍. It was sweeter when I tasted it, so maybe it's sweeter after some time, but it's 500ml and I can't wait that long 🤣. Maybe the aroma is a bit peculiar.
