After finishing our meal, we decided to go to a nearby sake bar for a few more drinks.
The owner of this bar asks you what you like and serves you a selection from the day's selection.
First, I requested a fruity type, and this Miwazakura came out.
The brewery is located in Miwa-cho on the south side of Miyoshi City in the northern part of the prefecture, and I used to work in the neighboring city of Aki Takata in the past, so it's not that I have no connection to the city at all, but I feel a little familiar with it ✨.
Rice polishing ratio 70%.
17% alcohol by volume
100% Moeibuki grown in Hiroshima Prefecture
Moeibuki was developed by Hiroshima Prefecture and the application was filed in 2022, so it is still a new variety.
In the mouth, it has a juicy sweetness and acidity in addition to the taste of rice, giving it a truly fruity flavor.
Even if you live in Hiroshima, there are still many sake brewing rice varieties in Hiroshima that you may not know about 🤔.
Despite the austere appearance of the label, the aroma is surprisingly round and sweet, like a can of peaches.
The rice is sweet and delicious. The graininess of the rice is noticeable on the nose.
It has a rough, bodied umami flavor. The mouthfeel is astringent.
The taste quickly fades away, leaving behind a lingering aroma of rice and a light sweetness.
I really like the taste.
Taste level 4/5
Another gift from a friend from Hiroshima 🍶.
After Fukucho and Taketsuru, this time it was my first Miwazakura🌸.
Thank you for this rare brand 🙏!
Hiyade
Slightly grain-like aroma.
Classic light type with soft water but gentle flavor
Rather dry
It seems more like a sake from Shimane than Hiroshima 🤔...
This is actually the first Hiroshima sake 🍶 I've ever had at home.
Made from 100% Yatan produced in Hiroshima Prefecture,
Polishing ratio 50%.
Rounded mouthfeel with a dry, light finish. Delicious.
New Year's Holidays: A collection of shots taken during the New Year's holidays.
Thank you for your continued support this year.
At the usual store
Feeling as usual
As usual
Delicious!
I found one I liked at Miwazakura.
It's not a brand I would ever buy for home use, but this was different!
There is something fluffy floating in the liquid, and when you drink it, it is thick and rich!
It has a good balance of sweetness and sourness.
I found something good!
It's nice to find an unexpected sake while out for a drink!
While watching Kohaku, the sweetness and umami of the rice spreads through the dry sake, making it a perfect match for a meal!
An excellent sake for New Year's Eve!
Weekday Corkage Series: ⁉️
I'm at work to rave reviews... but that's ok, right? At least at night 😅
I bought a bottle of Miwazakura🌸 at the convenience store 🍶🍶.
Just the right amount of ginjo aroma✨.
And...the aroma reminds me of a dry sake 😁.
This is the kind of flavor I'd like to drink with hot pot 😊.
The fruity aroma in the first sip is followed by the spiciness... and the sharpness of the aftertaste that doesn't interfere with the food. It would be delicious heated 🥰.
Unfortunately, I only had it cold 😭
I don't know if it's because Hiroshima Prefecture is a sake producing area or what.... I don't know if it's because Hiroshima prefecture is a sake production area, but it's amazing that convenience stores have so many sake lineups 😊.
I wish I could buy Jyushiyo at a convenience store soon... lol
