One day, Masamune hunters got a tip that Ofuku Masamune has a store at Yebisu Garden Place ❗️ Oh, it's really there. ‼️ Now, off we go🤠! 10 minutes of being carried from Ebisu station on a conveyor belt on a moving floor + 5 minutes of walking. Arrival 😁. Let's start with a high Masamune 🥸. Junmai Daiginjo. The umami comes first, followed by a slight bitterness 😙. The watery throat creates a freshness 😚. The ginjo aroma is very awesome and mellow 😚 ☺️ Nice Masamune👍 Looking around the display of Masamune in the store, it looks like we can still have a nice Masamune👍🙄. Oh, there are 3 different kinds to compare 👀! This is nice to have a variety to drink ☺️ The number one Masamune of the three ☝️ is... Nigori (nigori sake). The rice flavor and sweetness hits you 😳. Even though it's sake, it still has the feeling of rice 🌾, and I feel like it could replace rice 🍚🙄. The mellow feeling gives the drink a throatiness 🤨. It has a calm atmosphere without the typical nigori shwashiness 🫧 that is typical of nigori 😶. It was a very satisfying and robust nigori sake 🦴. It's a great nigori masamune that some people seem to like better than junmai daiginjo 🤗. Nice Masamune👍

The 800 check-in is the H27BY (2015 brewing year) Sanko Masamune from which Toji Takagaki retired 😆. We were lucky to get it 😊. This is the only sake from Mr. Takagaki but we are holding Takagaki festival 😅🍶. When opened in the fridge, it smells slightly like a soy sauce warehouse (there was a soy sauce warehouse in my neighborhood when I was a kid) or Shaoxing sake. It's a dry and light sake when cold. Sanko is still a warmed sake, so I'd recommend heating it up 🍶. The top aroma is the aromatic aroma of a freshly heated sake. When heated, it does not have a matured aroma. In the mouth, you first feel sharp acidity and spiciness. The acidity is not as strong as that of Sanko Tenpyo's Namahashi or Yamahai, but it is quite good. There is a slight sweetness and a beautiful umami that does not make you feel the rice polishing ratio of 72%. This is a perfect food sake 🍶😊. I don't know if this is the original taste since it is an old sake, but it was deeply delicious 😌. After retiring, he returned to farm near his hometown, but unfortunately, he died in a field accident last year 🥲. I learned of his death when I saw a relative of his on Instagram late last May with a picture of H27BY "Katsumasa" to inform me of his passing. A toast to Mr. Katsumasa Takagaki 😌🍶. The fourth picture is a sake from the brewery where Mr. Takagaki worked in the past.

Bicchu tasted a sake from Jindai. Sanko Masamune, when I drank the junmai sake before, seemed quite mellow, but the junmai ginjo was just the right density, probably due to the difference in rice polishing ratio. It is also a very tasty sake.

The purpose of my visit to Kawanishi Sake Sales was this. Although it is not written on the label, the sake was labeled as unfiltered raw sake at the store. Unlike the label, it is fruity and modern. It has a refreshing and light taste, but the second half is a bit dry. It has a slightly gaseous taste. It is a bit like Eiko-Fuji, but a little spicier. Purchased at Vinos Yamazaki in Kyoto after buying Daina at a liquor store in Saiin After this, I went back to the liquor store on the 2nd floor of the Yaichi main building and to Takimoto - Isetan 😊. I really wanted the Vinos limited edition Isoboast, but the date was a year ago, so I avoided it💦. It's also February 24 😅. I thought about how to read "kunika", "kokka", etc... but when I looked it up, it's "kokkou". Reminds me of Cocco for my generation 🤔. Drink at room temperature. It's lightly colored. It's been almost a year, but there's no sense of aging. It has a classical flavor and a little lactic acidity, but it's still light and refreshing. I'd like to try some of their raw sake, though I didn't have any this time. Like Isobojiman, I think Shizuoka sake is a good choice for me 🤔. I was saddened to hear that this brewery is already out of business 😿.

To compete with them with seafood, We consulted with them in advance about "Uchiwa Shrimp" caught in Hirado, Nagasaki.
