It will be 2 years next month since I started Sake no Wa and this will be my last post. Yesterday, my daughter collapsed at home, became unconscious, and was taken by ambulance to the hospital for examination and immediate emergency surgery. Although she survived the surgery, she lost all her dreams, her future, and our hopes for her. Yesterday I had no sense of reality, but today, all day long, every time I think about something, I can't stop crying. My wife's words are helping me now: "She's lucky, she'll be fine! I am saved by her words. I believe that it is my mission to overcome this hardship from now on. I would like to thank you all for reading my poor postings and for the many likes and comments! and comments on my posts have been very encouraging. I would also like to thank you for the time I spent at the offline meeting. I hope you all continue to take care of your health and enjoy your sake life. Thank you very much. I dream that one day I will be able to enjoy drinking sake again.

Sake degree @ Undisclosed Acidity @ Undisclosed Rice used@Mie rice Polishing ratio@50 Personal Recommendation@4.3/5.0 Mie Prefecture went to buy Tamitsu to drink slowly at home ‼️, but they only had a bottle in stock, so I bought Saku's new sake instead and went home ✌️ I used to like drinking Saku before the sake started, but the price has gone up a lot 🥺. I would have no problem if my salary 💰 would also go up proportionally ⤴️ 😭 Yeah, let's hope I win the lottery 💦. As for the taste 👅, well, there's no doubt about it: ❣️ It's a Junmai Daiginjo with a gorgeous, clear, clean and elegant taste in your mouth 😘. I don't like Junmai Daiginjo because it tastes too clear and all the brands taste alike, but this one is delicious and you can taste the sweetness of the rice 😋. I heard that the brewery is famous for making only fire-aged sake, but I wish they would make a draft sake once 😍.

I grabbed the shochu I wanted, and while counting the number of customers in line in front of the cash register, I looked in the fridge and found a label I had never seen before on the shelf in Ehime Prefecture: 🏷️📍. I glanced at the label on the back and confirmed that the manufacturer's address was Ehime Prefecture, and then rushed home to check what I had bought for myself after paying the bill when the cashier was the last customer and was giving off an aura of wanting to leave 😅. What is it, Ishizuchi? Well, what can I do now that I've bought it, let's try it 😑. Wow, it's Junmai Daiginjo specs. No wonder why the price is so high 🥺. Well, when I drank it, it's an elegant sake with a nice sharpness: ‼️ And it's even drier than the published sake level 😘. But it doesn't stick to my taste buds 😰. I can't believe it's over 6.000 yen for a bottle of this 😱. I haven't had any luck lately 😭

Purchased in Nakano, Tokyo♪ Alcohol content@16 Sake degree @ Undisclosed Acidity @ Undisclosed Rice used@Gohyakumangoku Polishing ratio @ 65 Personal Recommendation@3.5/5.0 Last time I went to Machidaya, they didn't have much of the sake I wanted, so I went to another liquor store about 50 meters away 💨. I was planning to buy Tamitsu at this store, but they said they only stock one bottle 🤣. I had no choice but to look in the fridge and find some more 👀 Kurumizaka from Wakayama. I found a junmai sake that was more expensive than the last junmai daiginjo 💡. I thought it's a yellow sake and not my favorite type, but I was attracted by the 20% off on paypay and bought it 😅 It's still yellow when you put it in a wine glass 🥂. And a little sour 🙄. But a little sweet🍫. It might go surprisingly well: ✌️ I thought it might go well warmed up, so I heated it up, and the sourness went away, but it still tastes like the honjozo sold at the supermarket 🤣. It's not good even when it's warmed up 👎. It was a sake that only shows its true value when it is cooled in the fridge 😱.

I was determined to buy as much as I could fit in my backpack, but there was no brand I wanted. No, I had already filled in the prefectures 😅. No standard sake that I had planned to buy, and I wasn't really into shochu either 💦. So I chose this sake that I had not planned to drink, but had been thinking about trying someday: ‼️ I bought it thinking it was a new brand and that it would be a modern sweet and tasty sake, but when I got home and read the label, it was dry and had a stimulating attack: ❣️ I read the label and found it to be dry with a stimulating attack (). I thought to myself, "What a linguistic sense! But it is not light and dry. It is rich and dry, and I like it a lot 😊. Then I wondered what it would be like if I heated it up and tried drinking it lukewarm, The taste was a bit blurred. Hmmm, I want to drink good heated sake😅.

Purchased in Ito City, Shizuoka Prefecture♪ Alcohol content@15 to 16 degrees Celsius Sake degree@+5.0 to +7.0 Acidity @ 1.1 Rice used: Yamadanishiki Polishing ratio @ 55% for koji, 60% for kake Personal recommendation @ 4.2/5.0 Recently, my roommate is a devotee of the Dragon God and wanted to visit the Kutouryuu Shrine located deep in Hakone😃. It is possible to go there on a day trip, but since it is a special occasion, we decided to take our time and go to Ito Onsen (hot spring) 💨. I just did a search for Izu Peninsula and sake shops and found a good one 💦. I left my house at 6am to visit Hakone Shrine and Kutouryuu Shrine, but it was still early for lunch, so I went straight to Ito ‼️ We had lunch at an Italian restaurant near a deserted station, and then went to a liquor store we had searched for: ✌️ As soon as you enter the entrance, you will see premium shochu Maou and Murao on sale, although they are tied together. I looked for Jyushidai and Shinsei to see if they also had them since they are a special distributor, but alas, they did not 🤣. Speaking of Shizuoka, Isoboast ❣️ is my own benchmark for dry sake. I tried it lukewarm, but I think it is better to drink it cold and crisp with this dry taste 👅. Junmai Ginjo is quite expensive, but Isobojiman is delicious even as a honjozo. Try it: ✌️

Sake degree @ Undisclosed Acidity @ Undisclosed Rice used@Gohyakumangoku Polishing ratio@50 個人的お薦め度@3.9/5.0 This is Shiroginoumi from the OCEAN99 series that I brought home with me along with Murasaki Uchu: ✌️ I used to like drinking Kangiku before I started drinking sake because it is reasonably priced for the specs and also has the sweetness and deliciousness I like. It's so sweet😅! How can they make it so sweet from rice? It is as sweet as calpis. I'm a person who thinks that I can make any kind of marriage or pairing, but this one is too far out of my comfort zone to go with a meal 😨. I stopped drinking it once at mealtime and drank it after dinner with nuts🥜😋. I also think it would be good with bitter chocolate 🍫 something. This is an after dinner dessert drink 😍.

Since there are still 10 days until the paypay campaign in Nakano Ward is scheduled to start in December, even if I cheat by drinking shochu, I still need at least 3 bottles, so I checked my favorite liquor store's facebook page and found that they have new shochu from Murasaki Uchu and Kangiku in stock😍! Of course I went to buy them right away: ✌️ I was thinking about which to drink first after returning from my trip to Ito, Hakone, when Eririn posted the same thing and it looked delicious, so I popped open the cedar ball label of the Murasaki-chu to start off the season today 🦞. Well, I'll drink it then 🍶. It's sweet ‼️ but a little less sweet and mild than usual. It's well-balanced ✌️ but if you drink it blind, you might not think it's a purple space😅. I prefer it when it's slightly warmed up from its chilled state. The rest you can refer to Erin's review 🙇.

We had a nice drink together 😃. The lady sitting next to me said she was a Sake lover, so I told her to register with Sake-no-Wanawa and spread the word. ✌️ Today's drink is "Masayo" according to J &N. When I saw it for the first time, I read it as "Marayo" 😅. Well, it says UTSHIRO on the side 😘. This sake will be my first time drinking it at home🎊 The alcohol content is 12.5 degrees, the lowest in the GARAKUYO series. It is a dangerous alcohol for me who fights gout that I can easily drink it with ease. ⚠️ Anyway, the light and refreshing quality of the sake will keep you from getting tired of drinking it, and if you try hard, you may even be able to manachii it 😱. But I want to enjoy the taste change, so I will enjoy the rest after my trip to Hakone and Ito starting tomorrow. ✌️

On such a cold day, shochu with hot water is delicious ‼️ I'm thinking of signing up for a shochu app too 🥹. But there is heated sake for sake🍶✌️ I opened the fridge and found only 2 bottles 😱. And they are not sake for warming up 🥹. I had no choice but to open this bottle 💁 which the store owner had warned me that it was not suitable for warming up. I tried drinking it lukewarm, thinking that raising the temperature wouldn't help 🍶. Yes, the taste is blurred. When I drank it chilled in a glass, the flavor profile was clearer and tastier 😋. It's just as they said it would taste best with sashimi or light flavored food. I guess I should listen to the advice of the restaurant staff 🤣.

I've been buying some chibi this year to wait for it to start in my hometown and in the ward where I work since November, but there has been no announcement at all 😢. Apparently they are not going to implement it this year, which is disappointing 😞. Luckily, Nakano ward, my neighbor ward, is going to start in December, so I'm thinking to buy only the stocks I can't buy there and go there 😱. Speaking of Saga, I have always liked Nabe-sama ❤️ and used to drink only that, but recently I have started to enjoy Koei Kiku too ✌️ I've been enjoying this Kouei Kiku's "Kinmou". I'm not sure what to expect, but I'm sure I'll be able to find a good deal of information about it, But, it's delicious! Delicious ‼️ The subtle sweetness of the pineapple 🍍 flavor, combined with the beautiful acidity, makes it easy to guzzle. The alcohol content is 15 degrees, but it feels like a low-alcohol drink. I wanted to enjoy the change in taste as I was told that the flavor changes slowly after opening the bottle, but it was gone in 2 days even though it was impossible to manachize it 😢.

He felt bad and bought me this one instead, saying it is a sake that is not sold outside of his hometown 🥰. I looked up the price to thank him, but it seems that the sales channel is not very wide, and it is not always available, but the price is reasonable for a junmai sake 😊. But why not label it as junmai ginjo even though it has a 55% rice polishing ratio 🥹? Now drink it cold as usual. Yeah, it's like water💦‼️ I said this is a sake to be drunk warmed or at room temperature...so I warmed it up to lukewarm and it bloomed a little 🌸. Personally, I prefer sakes that have a more umami rice flavor, but sakes that go down smoothly like this are also good sometimes 🥰. I give Nabe-sama back to my co-workers👌

Sake degree @ Undisclosed Acidity @ Undisclosed Rice used@Yamadanishiki Polishing ratio@55 Personal Recommendation@4.0/5.0 When I say Oita, I mean "Chiebijin" ✌️ Although it is highly rated on sake websites, I don't see many postings of it on Sake-no-wa, perhaps because it is a difficult brand to buy 🥹. Living in Tokyo, it's relatively easy to buy a variety of brands, which I appreciate 😍. Now for a sip: ☺️ The flavor and sweetness spreading in your mouth: ‼️ I feel so happy 😀. The umami that slowly waits in the mouth is balanced with the slight bitterness that you feel when it passes the throat. I don't think I'll venture out and look for another brand from Oita anymore 😅. Overall, it is more subdued and less floral than the Omachi I had before, so I guess it is more of a food sake in the "Chiebijin" category 🥰.

Purchased in Nerima Ward, Tokyo ♪ Alcohol content@-17.0 Sake degree @ -10.0 Acidity @ 1.6 Rice used@Kinmon-Nishiki Polishing ratio@50 Personal Recommendation@3.9/5.0 I don't usually choose sake based on the rice used, since Yamada-Nishiki, Omachi, and Aizan are all the same to my stupid tongue👅, but I picked up a gold label that stood out at a liquor store I frequent and read the label on the back: "Kinmon-Nishiki" as the sake rice ‼️ I have had this sake rice before in Genmai and Shinshu Kamerei, and I thought it would make a gorgeous sake with a strong aroma, but I thought it was a sake rice only for Nagano Prefecture, but it is also brewed in neighboring Gifu Prefecture. ☺️ Well, Hida is only an hour's drive from Matsumoto😅. By the way, "W" is also labeled as junmai-shu even though it is a junmai-daiginjo with a 50% milled rice ratio 😍. Let's drink it now: ✌️ When you open the bottle, it has a gorgeous aroma unique to Kinmon-Nishiki and a robust flavor 🍶. But unlike Genmai and Shinshu Kamerei, which have a clean, feminine appearance, this one has a wild, masculine feel to it. If I were to say which is more refined, I would probably rate Genmai and Shinshu Kamerei higher, but considering the ease of availability, I guess this one is also possible 🥰.

The name of the sake is "Sari" which means "rice" in Sanskrit. It was named after the root of the word for sushi rice, "sari," which means "rice with vinegar" in Sanskrit. This "Sari" is manufactured in such small quantities that not even 10 liquor stores in Japan carry it 😱. When you drink it, it is a crisp and dry sake 🍶. You can feel the sharpness anyway: ‼️ It goes well with seafood, especially with light-flavored Japanese dishes such as sashimi. Maybe sake drinkers can keep drinking it forever ♾️ without getting tired of drinking it 😍. Too bad I'm not a sake drinker myself😢.

Sake degree @ Undisclosed Acidity @ Undisclosed Rice used@Hyakumangoku No Shiro Polishing ratio @ 60 Personal Recommendation@3.9/5.0 After purchasing Halloween Jumbo at Nishi-Ginza Chance Center, I walked a little further to IMADEYA in GINZA SIX. ✌️ I came here to buy Yoshidagura u‼️ It's my first time so I'm looking forward to it ㊗️ The "u" in "Yoshidagura u" stands for "gentle" and "you" for "you". And "u" in "Yoshidazo u" means "kind" and "you" means "you" 🥰. The label says it is clear, mineral, and slightly effervescent, and yes, it is a modern sake that lives up to its reputation 🍶. But this taste, I feel like I've had it before. I spent 3 minutes thinking about it, even though it was definitely my first time. Oh, it's similar to sansho 😅. Not sweet and less fizzy 😝. If I drank this one for the first time, I'm sure it would be delicious ‼️, but Sundo is slightly more expensive, but more refined 🙇‍♀️ But it's not as over-the-top as San-Do, so this one might be better for a meal. I have written a lot about it, but there is no doubt that it is a good sake 🙆🙆

Unlike Okinawan sake, it's always available at the antenna store in Shinjuku, thank goodness 😍. The first time I drank this Sentoku Junmai Sake, I was so disgusted by the unique smell that I drank it with soda and consumed it in tears, but when I read the reviews on Sake-no-Wawa, unlike Okinawa Sake, there were some positive reviews 🥹. This is a revenge consumption because I wondered if I had grabbed a poorly preserved sake or if my tongue was stupid👅. ✌️ But taking into account that my tongue was right, I bought a 300ml bottle this time 😝. Now the first Junmai sake I've had in a year. Whoa 🙄. Not as disgusting as the last time I drank it 😙. It's surprisingly refreshing to drink! I think 🥹. Maybe I bought it in the middle of summer last time and it was not stored well 🥲. But 300ml is enough for me😇

Because Pon-chan, who compared Banshu Issen drinks, reviewed that this was the best one: ✌️ No, this is really delicious😍. It has a mild sweetness with a refreshing mouthfeel‼️ and a slight bitterness that goes right through. If sake of this quality were available at convenience stores and supermarkets, young people and beginners 🔰 would love sake too 😱. Even though I am not much of a drinker, my sake cup goes down in no time at all 😝. I heard that it tastes good heated up, so I'll try it lukewarm tomorrow🙆.

I usually drink many well-known brands that are relatively highly rated because I buy by prefecture, but sometimes I want to explore new brands on my own: ‼️ The reason I lost this time is that there are many delicious sake brands in Ibaraki, including Morishima, even if they are not well-known, so I didn't lose anything 😢. I've been reading your reviews on Sake-no-Wa, so I have most of the brands memorized and can tell which prefecture they are made in, but I've never heard of Hiko-ichi 💦. I've never heard of "Hiko-ichi" 💦. The label says that the company is from Oarai, Ibaraki, and when I asked the store owner about it, he told me that it is a relatively new brand and that they sell it through a limited number of distributors 😍. To put it simply, it's a dry sake. But there is no taste 👅. Maybe sake drinkers would say this is a good sake that doesn't interfere with food, but for me it's just alcohol water. From now on, I will only drink Ibaraki sake that is highly rated by Manachie-san, who honestly has no love for Ibaraki 🤣.

Purchased in Nerima Ward, Tokyo ♪ Alcohol content@15.0 Sake degree@+5.0 Acidity @ 1.6 Rice used@Omachi Polishing ratio@65 Personal Recommendation@3.7/5.0 The liquor store where I went to buy Benten Musume: ✌️ I think it's exciting to go to a new liquor store for the first time because the selection is different from usual. ⤴️ You can buy Gozenshu elsewhere, but this is the first time I've been to a sake shop where I can buy Gozenshu. ‼️ I picked up a bottle and found that it was a "fall-away" type 😀 I didn't pay much attention to it, but it was green 😦. I guess I was only impressed by the green 🟢 regular bottle 🧴 because I didn't pay much attention to it 😅. Well, this 9NINE series bottle design is stylish 💓I thought it was for beginners🔰, but it is a hard-core sake with a sake degree of +5.0: ☺️ The sake is smooth on the palate with a slight acidity that gives it a nice clean aftertaste. Even I, who do not have a strong constitution for alcohol, can drink it easily 😀. The bottle is black so you can't tell how much is left 💦. It is recommended to drink it cold to lukewarm, but I definitely recommend it cold 🎈.
