A set of two bottles (both junmai daiginjos), Kamikawa Daisetsu and Tokachi, a staple for the year-end and New Year's holidays.
Tonight we will have the Kamikawa Daisetsu.
Gorgeous ginjo aroma, sweet mouthfeel but clean taste.
The last sake of the year is "Shibetsu Comet," which I thought was the most delicious sake I drank this year. This sake, which I met when my family was transferred to Shibetsu City, became unforgettable along with many other memories of this year.
I hope I can find another delicious sake next year.
This is a sake that my partner bought for me as a souvenir from Hokkaido.
It was my first sake from Hokkaido. I remember how impressed I was with the taste of sake from Hokkaido. It had a rich aroma, a smooth texture, a clean taste, and just the right amount of sharpness. From then until now, it has always been one of my favorite sake.
This bottle was given to us at Fratello di Mikuni, where we stayed during our summer trip to Hokkaido.
I kept it carefully refrigerated and matched it with oden in winter.
The taste is rather sweet, aromatic, and robust, with a smooth finish.
I think it goes well with Japanese food.
100% Hokkaido comet.
The aroma is not very strong at first. Slightly acidic aroma. The smell of alcohol masks it.
The rice is thick and sweet in the mouth. But the aftertaste is spicy and bitter.
The next day. The aroma is more intense. Pear, banana...
It's so good 😍.
Kamikawa Taisetsu was given to me as a souvenir a few years ago. My memory is a bit fuzzy, but there seemed to be a gap between the aroma and the taste...?
