🫤 I just heard the news that KAKU.UCHI is closing. Since I was in Nagano, I went to ask what was going on. Turns out they're renovating to expand their sales space. Might not feel like a corner bar anymore. Phew. Hatoya Liquor Store is far away, so I'd be thrilled if I could buy their sake right by the station 😁 Well, just asking wouldn't be enough, right? 😆 I enjoyed five drinks and the New Year's special platter. I'm posting about Sawano Hana, which had the fewest bottles. Since I only drank half my usual amount, I had a small bottle of Oyukigawa back at the hotel. It was gone in no time. 😅 Their last day of business is January 20th. I'm going again next week (meaning I'll be in Nagano again next week too. 😔).

🐎 Ingredients: Rice (Nagano Prefecture), Rice Koji (Nagano Prefecture) Alcohol content: 16%. It seems to be an original label of Miyajima Sake Brewery. but you already drink it at the bar you go to when you go on a business trip to Nagano. I posted about it a few posts ago. I wonder if I had applied for the hanpukai, though there are lots of liquor stores between there and Ueda. I'll ask them next time I go there. I wonder if he remembers me. I'll miss you if you give me a curt answer. I'll think about such things then 😅 It didn't have the sweetness that I imagined from its gorgeous aroma, and it was clean and dry. If that bar is going to stock it, it must be dry, right? I guess that means they didn't sign up for the distribution plan. It was easy to drink. I served it with yam that I got from Manachie. I guess it's the first day of work after I go to bed tonight and wake up 😫.

🧧 Happy New Year ⛩ I wish you all the best for the new year 🎍. The year before last was the best year in 12 years according to the Five-Star Trinity Divination. When I think back, it was mainly in terms of work. That means this year is the worst year in 12 years according to the Five-Star Three-Child Divination.... I certainly have a big work deadline.... My drinking luck should be much better, so I will enjoy drinking 🍶. Well, the first sake of the new year is from Nagano, where I will be serving again this year. I didn't go to Zenkoji Temple, but it is Nishinomon near Zenkoji Temple! It is Junmai Daiginjo! The first sip is sweet, followed by umami. I was impressed by the deliciousness of the rice with absolutely no cloying taste. Everyone who was drinking it said, "It's delicious! A good year starts with a good sake!

㊗️ Nice Masamune! It was a gift from my brother-in-law, but I opened a bottle because people who were tired of the Umakuchi wanted to drink it. Ugh, I wanted to bring it home... It was a beautiful dry taste mixed with umami, and tasted better than when I drank it a long time ago, even though I drank a lot of Nishinomoto. Was it because the rice was delicious? A party of 15 people including infants and toddlers. I really made a lot of side dishes, but they were almost gone. My parents' side of the family doesn't have a gathering of relatives, so maybe this kind of thing is good once a year.... And 2 bottles are empty.... Is that how it is with 7 people who can drink?

It's hard for me because my eyes are narrow😓. The weather was good first thing in the morning, but it was gassy on the way back. It's the season for the arrival of the snow woman 😂I skied alone today from 8:30am to 3:30pm. It was fun. Well, today's evening drink was Kame no Umi, which I bought in the summer. I bought six bottles at that time (see 4th picture) but I'm still on my third bottle😅. It's rich, sweet, and delicious, but with a clean aftertaste. When I drank it, I couldn't help but exclaim, "Wow, it's delicious! The price is reasonable for a junmai daiginjo, which is also good. This may be the last sake I drink this year, so I'm glad I was able to try something extraordinarily delicious. After that, I participated in the last Mahjong 🀄️ of the year. 4-2-4 and jumped at the end, but just barely finished in the plus column.

I could have had Beaumichel, but I've never had this one, and at a little over 1,200 yen, it's a good price for the volume ✨. I was worried about how the SOUR would be and didn't want it to be too strong, but it was a bit like a strong carbonation, not sour, but a good balance with the sweetness. It was delicious. It was not enough, but I've been drinking too much lately, so I'll just have to hold on (in the style of a Sakiyoken commercial). Tomorrow in Nagano is not a white Christmas Eve, but simply rainy. ☂️

A drop or two, the usual label is more catchy💙 and cute🩷, but this one is more serious. I drank it to see what it tasted like and found it to be sweet and delicious 🫧I really like it. I drank too much on Thursday and Friday, but it's still good sake. ☺️ M-1 is very interesting. I think it's a blessing to be able to laugh so much even if it's the first time I've seen the show. Depending on the result, we may not be able to see Don de Corte's first-stage material again. (LOL).

🌸 Is this the right place? Of course it's not enough 😆 So we're heading to the next one, although it's not too bad. This is a standing bar. It's located far away from Kanda station, but it's packed. It looked spacious but it was because of the mirrored walls😅. We drank Fukkai, Yamato Shizuku, Yamanokotobuki, and Garakuyo. I ordered only white sake. I like sweet sake. Yeah, 2 gos of sake here too 😆. The label on the bottle was too cute. If I drink it at home, I'm sure I'll drink it in no time and it won't be cosy. We had a lot of fun talking and drinking. Please come again. Compared to Thursday, I didn't drink at all, so I left in good spirits 💪.

We had a lot of rare sake with 5 people including the organizer, Nochi-san, the usual MAJ-san, and Matsuchiyo-san who is becoming a familiar face. We split one gou of sake among the five of us so we wouldn't get drunk, right? The waiter asked us, "Is one gou enough?" but we said, "Just one sake," because we were not going to drink it all. We also have hot sake (because we drink it slowly), so we won't get drunk. 🍣 This time Sushi Restaurant Kagura was with people from my department. I invited my junior who was with me in Hokkaido until Wednesday and my senior who is always with me in Nagano. I invited my senior who is retiring at the beginning of next month. He can't even drink a drop of sake, but I wanted to have one last drink with him. I decided to order as much as I wanted to eat and drink. The ratio of sake consumed was 0:senior who is retiring 1:junior 2, 2:senior and me and the total is 30,000 yen 😂. 🌟🌟 Ingredients: Rice (Hokkaido rice), Rice Koji (Hokkaido rice) Rice polishing ratio: 70 Alcohol content: 15%. On the day I arrived, I went straight to Susukino where my lodgings were located without stopping at either Shin-Chitose or Sapporo. Nothing to do, though. Now, it is the last night in Hokkaido. I drank only Sapporo Classic🍺 and this is the only sake I drank. Kamikawa Taisetsu, a Seikomart limited edition. It is delicious. It can be drunk before or during a meal. It tastes like rice and you feel like you are drinking sake. We stopped at Raccoon's Hot Spring, where we stayed for three nights. There were raccoon dog figurines and raccoon dog crepes. Why was there a long line for Yamaoka-ya? I chose Susukino because my favorite chain hotel is located here, but it takes about 25 minutes to walk to Hokudai from Susukino, and the snowy road was slippery and quite nerve-wracking. People in northern Japan are awesome!

I can walk to this restaurant from my office, and I heard that it is a mecca for fans as it is located below the room where Inaba of B'z lived when he was a college student. I pulled it off spectacularly. I thought it was because of the large size of the photos from Friday's drinking session, so I was working on the photos and it wasn't: 🙂‍↔️ Well, here is a locally distributed sake from Tsuchida Sake Brewery given to me by a colleague in my department. Wow, limited edition🙌! It's dry, but very refreshing and easy to drink, and after you finish it, you'll want to check to see if it's dry. After finishing it, you will want to check if it is dry or not. This is the kind of sake that is good for a daily evening drink. I am going on a business trip to Hokkaido next Sunday. I may go to Nagano before that 🦆, so I am literally busy as a teacher 🏃‍♀️. And drinking too 🤣.
